Outside the mansion walls, the storm continued barreling through the area, the wind whipping into a frenzy, as rain slammed soaked the grounds, creating a river as it flowed over the sides of the hill, like waterfall, flowing into drainages built into areas around the town, preventing flooding caused by the rain cascading down the hill.

It's half an hour until midnight, Theodore checked the time on his pocket watch, while hearing the storm outside, he encouraged Lila into sleeping, somewhat helping her face to heal.

Once he felt that enough time passed that everyone in the mansion went to bed, Theodore stood up from the desk chair.

A push of a button, the pocket watch broadcasted him sleeping on the bed with Lila, he hid it underneath Lila's pillow, next to her knife, before heading towards the door out of their guest room.

The energy in the air's strengthening from the storms, they're not letting up tonight, Theodore can't use too much, it's still volatile.

Storm could end any moment and that'll be it for his chances getting out of situations.

Al remained out of reach due to his date with Bumble, lord knows the state of the TARDIS at this hour, hopefully not like last time, but Theodore has ways of reaching him should the need arise.

Though it'd be useful to have a detailed blueprint on the mansion, Theodore suspected difficulties retrieving the blueprints, that Al wouldn't founded them even if he searched obscure links on the internet.

Despite the minor setback, it didn't deter Theodore, his father wasn't the type, either, if he couldn't find anything he needed, he made do with what he had, and often it worked in his favour.

Still on his mind, however, why he couldn't read Harold's mind, there wasn't a reason he shouldn't, he even poked in Professor May and Douglas's mind just to be sure.

It wasn't a mental wall, Theodore knows them by heart, he'd know if Harold's a telepath, but he doesn't that's it, and while going through a laundry reasons as to why, Theodore snuck through the mansion undetected, timing his steps to the tune of the thunder.

Louder it is, the farther he can go, and fortunately, this time, he doesn't have to work with security guards or cameras, annoying, that.

Theodore reached one of the staircases, his icy blue eyes moving around as he looked for any movement, but the staff must've gone to bed, he didn't see anyone mingling about.

Slowly, Theodore went towards the closed library, pressing his ear against the door, not hearing a stir, and obviously, he wasn't going to try and open it, Harold would've made sure it's locked.

Couldn't use the Sonic Screwdriver without alerting someone to his presence, so Theodore opted for a tried and true, picking open one of the doors as he carefully opened it.

Slowly surveying, Theodore didn't see anyone, and slipped inside, no light in the library, only when lighting shined through the stained-glass windows.

The books that assaulted him and Lila neatly collected and stacked to the side, the staff planning on returning the books to their proper spots in the morning after the storms went through, and while going through the library, Theodore sees one of the books stacked with the pages facing him that drew his attention.

Visibly, there's a noticeable gap at the center of the book, that it forced him to go over to the book, prying it off the top of the stack.

Opening it with one hand, Theodore proceeded to thumb through the pages, evening them out as he went, until he got to the section with the gap, where he noticed something.

There's a folded piece of parchment paper, thick enough that it'd cause the gap in the book.

Taking it in his freehand as he sat the closed book back on the stack, Theodore studied the parchment paper, yellowed, smelled old, and water damaged.

With his hands, he unfolded it, discovering a dry bloodied message written on it.

HELP ME

His icy blue eyes staring at the chicken scratch, Theodore looked up towards the bare bookcase the books came from as he folded the parchment paper up.

Stepping towards the bookcase, Theodore reached into one of the shelves, feeling the back of the bookcase.

It took some force, but he felt the back of the bookcase slightly give, like there's a false wall, and as he retracted his hand, Theodore surveyed the library, looking for a hidden entrance.

Slowly, Theodore canvassed the library, before finding the hidden entrance in the unlit fireplace, cold to the touch that Theodore didn't risk burning himself as he knelt, his long arm reached up, his large hand slowly moving across the soot bricked chimney, before finally finding a handle he pulled.

The back wall of the fireplace slid open and Theodore disappeared through the darkness, the brickwork deafened footfall as Theodore went through the tunnel, there's no torches on the walls, that he had no other choice but use the light from the Sonic Screwdriver as he went through the tunnel.

From the smell alone, Theodore deduced that the brickwork's older than the mansion, that it must've come from a previous iteration, when they gutted everything out to make room for the changes, they kept the tunnels, either out of request, or because it'd be too troubling spending time taking it all out.

Not the first-time corners were cut.

With the blue light guiding him, Theodore found neatly cut false walls behind the bookcase, with one hand, he pulled one to the side, seeing the library from behind.

The false wall's wide enough that whoever assaulted him and Lila with the books was able to throw them with ease.

Closing the false wall, Theodore moved on, his footsteps muffled, the silence deafening, and enough horror movies and adventures taught him to remain alarmed until he gets out of the tunnels.

Didn't know where he went afterwards, but Theodore managed to find himself looking at a set of false walls, curious, he opens one, seeing that he's peeking into the guest room for Douglas.

He's asleep in bed, softly snoring, from where Theodore's standing, he's a hair's inch from the bed, that's why Douglas heard the scratching noises.

Slowly, Theodore closes the false wall, moving ahead until he found another set of false walls, these ones overlooked the room that the Winchesters briefly stayed in.

His icy blue eyes narrowing, Theodore searched for the hidden door, finding it when he sees two dark spots on the brickwork.

Whoever the Winchesters saw came out of the hidden door, escaped back through after the Winchesters woke up.

Moving forward, Theodore found the false walls overlooking Professor May, asleep with a bottle of whisky in his hands.

Creeping suspicions, Theodore kept going until he found the false walls looking into the guest room that he and Lila stayed in.

Sleeping soundly, Lila didn't even register his presence, beside her, he sees his holograph counterpart.

"Lee," Theodore calls out to her.

She didn't stir, so he reached out through the false wall, touching her shoulder.

Instantly, Lila stirred from her sleep, groggily looking around, confused, her chestnut eyes moved around, until she sees the hand on her shoulder.

She's about to scream until she sees Theodore lighting up his face with his Sonic Screwdriver, only for her to swat him.

"Damn it, Teddi!" Lila mumbled as she pushed herself off the pillows, rubbing her eyes, as she adjusted herself to look at Theodore.

Her mind catching up to her, she sees him, confusion in her eyes, there Theodore informed her of the discovery.

"I'm going to be sick," Lila recoiled at this, but Theodore assured her that he doesn't think anyone watched them.

Looking at the false walls as Theodore showed her, Lila goes, "Then, Professor May did hear something."

Nodding, Theodore's wild hair bobbed as he affirmed with, "Indeed, my dear Watson, and whatever the Winchesters saw used these to get into their room."

Blinking, Lila asks, "What would they want with the Winchesters?"

Shrugging his wide shoulders, Theodore responds with, "Don't know, I'm investigating it, now. I'll let you know when I find the answer. Now, that you're up, how's your nose?"

Lightly touching her nose, Lila goes, "Doesn't hurt so badly, why?"

Theodore then said, "Want to investigate creepy tunnels behind the wall?"

A light shrug, Lila answers with, "Why not, not the weirdest thing I've done."

Quickly, Lila put herself together, and Theodore opened the hidden door for her as she watched what looked like normal brickwork turned into a hidden door.

"You think it goes up to the first floor?" Lila asks him as she stepped into the tunnel while Theodore closed the hidden door behind them.

Thinking to himself, Theodore says he doesn't know, but anything's possible with the discovery.

With no blueprint, they're on their own, but Theodore suspected the answer they're looking for's somewhere deep within the hidden tunnels.

"Ah, the basement, where everything creepy usually's stowed away," Lila commented on Theodore's theory as she followed him, the blue light from his Sonic Screwdriver giving them a blue hue.
