Sick Day

"Well, Ratchet, it ain't COVID so… you're okay." Rivet said. Sitting on the bed, taking his hand off his fluffy forehead. She set her phone down. Ratchet coughed again. "Well… good news it isn't that… bad news is. It feels like I'm dying…" Ratchet said, sighing before coughing again.

"I'll make you feel better, baby…. I'll be your Nurse Joy!" Ratchet smiled softly, knowing they are big fans of the Pokémon anime.

Rivet came back in her Nurse Joy Cosplay and a plushie of Chansey in her arms. Ratchet smiled, Rivet walked up to him. He blushed.

She looks so adorable in that Nurse Joy cosplay….

"Wow, Riv." Ratchet said, smiling Then coughing again. Rivet felt his cheek.

"Okay, Rach, I'll take care of you," she said. "Hey-" he chuckled "-Like that song from Drake." he then coughed.

"Rach… don't talk, try to sleep alright, I'm going to make you ramen." Rivet said, Leaving their bedroom. Then she came back with one of their plushies that he bought on Amazon a while back.

"Here is your plushie, Chet. he can keep you company." Rivet said. Ratchet saw that the remote was on his bedside table. With his laptop, speaker, and Sonic Generations figure all sitting on there too.

Ratchet sighed and picked up the remote and turned on the TV, Spongebob was on. He sneezed and sighed. "I hate being sick…" he muttered, Rivet came back with a cup of ramen.

"Riv? What took you so long?"

"Chet, it's only been three minutes, chill." Rivet laughed. Then gave it to him. "What do you want to drink? Monster?"

Ratchet nodded and picked up a fork full and ate the noodles. The flavor took him back to the early 2000s when they first moved here and they tried ramen for the first time.

It was heaven for him.

Ratchet smiles as he watches the show. His wife came back with a red can in her hand.

"Here baby. I got your favorite, and there's one left. I'll go to Walmart later to buy more." She told her husband, as she opened the tab for him and set it on his bedside table.

Rivet moved his laptop so he had room to put his ramen cup.

"Thanks, babe, put it next to me. I want to work on my next chapter."

Rivet smiled and put it next to him. The Apple logo facing upside down.

"Oh, Roy and RJ are staying at Kaden's house having a sleepover," she said. Ratchet nodded.

Rivet closed the door to their room, Ratchet fell asleep watching TV, and Rivet grabbed her laptop to get some fanfiction done.

I kind of have an issue, I am NOT getting updates for this story anymore so I will be moving everything slowly to AO3. I don't know why I'm not seeing the update date for this story but, that is what I'm going to do for now. The Ads are getting ridiculous. They are so bad that people—including me—are having trouble reading the story.

So I am going to be reading them on AO3 and commenting here and there as well. My account is the same as FanFiction, so if you want to follow me, you can!
