Folding his sunglasses over his white collared dress shirt, Pete looked between the men, David uttering, "How did you get past security?"

Shrugging, Pete tells him that he done it so many times, it came naturally, he simply talked his way into the building, unassuming that no one thought of him, and he managed to convince the cafeteria workers that he was bringing the prisoners their meals.

"Like I said, I still have it, now, tell me, you two, what have you gotten yourselves, this time?" Pete stood quizzically as he asked the men what they done to warrant such a strong reaction, with David giving him the short-handed version.

Nodding as he followed along, Pete responded that he wasn't surprised, he instantly noticed people staying around areas frequented by David, seemingly for no reason, and deduced that they were looking for David, but they never had the chance of catching him.

Until now, of course.

"Where's Jenny?" David worryingly asked about her and comforted when Pete informed him that Jenny's with Hamon.

Hearing this, Theodore asks Pete, "Does my uncle know what's going on?"

Nodding, Pete tells him that Hamon insisted that Jenny stay with him, as a safety precaution in the event UNIT caught wind of their existences and attempt capturing them, too.

Hamon made sure the others were made aware of Torchwood and they've taken precautions trying to avoid them until they're able to resolve this issue, as Pete called it, and they're all aware of Dom's temper.

Lord knows they don't want the old Ko'gan going on a rampage and causing them more issues.

"I'm afraid we're stretched thin like butter to really have any say, Mr. Pratchett," Theodore brought up his and David's inability to resolve this in a way that's satisfactory.

Smiling, Pete shakes his head as he assures Theodore that he and David have it in them, they're the Doctor, after all.

On the topic of the disabled Dalek, Pete's unsurprised by the revelation, it wasn't the first or last time someone misguidedly believed that a disabled Dalek wasn't dangerous, though it ended up annoying Pete having to repeat himself multiple times to people who didn't believe him during his adventures.

"I don't suppose you could give us a nougat of your wisdom, Mr. Pratchett," Theodore frowns as he sees how confident the man was getting inside Torchwood effortlessly, without a psychic paper, without gleaming details from someone's mind, and Pete informs him that it won't be long before the Daleks make their appearance.

They'll start with major cities, first, put their governments in a chokehold, the Dalek Supreme won't risk assassination and stay aboard the mothership safely away from Earth while the Daleks commence their invasion.

There will be bloodshed, Pete warned them.

"But I have faith in the both of you," Pete smiled at the men, before checking the time, and warning that he needed to make this look good, before promptly throwing food on David and Theodore, covering them in sauces, he said the electrified cages don't register food items as a threat, before giving them their trays.

Covered in their lunches, the men shared looks of shock as they demanded to know why Pete would throw food at them, only for him to tell them that he needed to make them look "good" in the eyes of Torchwood.

Looking like they've gone through a food fight of the century, the men stood quizzically near the electrified bars, asking Pete what he planned to do, and he said that he has everything worked out, everything else falls to them.

"And trust me, if you can't change their opinions, you can certainly use it against them," Pete winked at them, before he wore his sunglasses again, returning to his aloof persona, as he noticed the soldiers returning, telling him that he needed to leave, now.

Nodding, his straight blond hair stiffly moving, Pete affirmed their wishes, while pointing at Theodore and David, calling them classless, and the soldiers held bemused looks, seeing the two men covered in their lunches.

"Did you forget something important?" Theodore quizzically asked David telepathically and David responded that he's certain that he didn't forget any events or anniversaries.

He won't know until he talks to Peter, but that'll be after getting his brown trench coat dry cleaned, seeing the lettuce stuck to it with thousand island dressing.

"He's right, though, those Daleks are going to be here in hours, if they haven't gotten here already," David recoiled as Pete wasn't wrong, but they're at a disadvantage, and seeing Pete cleverly getting inside without issues's saying a lot.

David pointed out, "He's not part or fully alien."

Torchwood has scanners, they would've known instantly if Pete had two hearts or an extra head.

"Still," Theodore groaned as he tried to make something with his lunch, seeing as he's wearing it.

Without any choice, the men consumed their lunch, what they could, and the soldiers were kind enough to give and retrieve cleaning products to at least get the smell of thousand island dressing out of their respected clothing.

"I'm never getting it out of my nose!" David complained that the smell of thousand island dressing won't leave his nose, causing Theodore to sigh, "Well, you don't smell like a mustard bottle, so it's even."

David countered, "None of it went up your nose, did it?"

Fair.

After the conclusion of their lunch and the soldiers made it impossible for them to hide so much as a crumb from the used plates, the men were left to their cells, their minds wracking for ideas on getting out, and retrieving their belongings.

Retrieving the TARDIS', a different story, one that neither men could come up with a working plan, the only way they know how on reuniting with their respected TARDIS's if the Daleks showed up.

Like Pete said, if they can't convince Torchwood, turn everyone's bias on their heads and against them.

Though, how they're going to do that, none of them know.

"What if you talk to her father?" David suggested that Theodore swallow his fears and speak with Mr. Watson, get him to help.

He's already apprehensive about Torchwood's handling of the Dalek situation, maybe Theodore can use that to his advantage, and maybe convince Mr. Watson that he wasn't the terror he thinks he is, something.

"He won't talk to me, certainly right, now!" Theodore pointed out that Mr. Watson doesn't have authority to talk to him, not that he wanted to talk to Theodore, anyway.

Silently raising his finger, David brought up, "He's an engineer, correct, use that!"

Lila's father is a seasoned navy engineer who worked between two different navies over the course of decades, but something like the TARDIS would be out of his scope, hell, Torchwood probably won't let him so much as breath near it.

Not to mention, Torchwood has enough scientists and other that they won't need Mr. Watson's help.

Unless.

"I can convince them that he's the only one who can work on it!" Theodore's inspired by David's suggestion, before adding to it, "he won't know a thing about it, he'll have to talk to me!"

Nodding as he gestured, David says, "Exactly!"

Though, it raised another set of problems.

Mr. Watson won't risk being seen with Theodore, he won't trust David if it came to that because he doesn't know him that well, and he won't risk the familial connection with Lila.

"Well, you have to force the issue, anyway, right?" David brought up that Theodore had to address the elephant in the room one way or another and what way than force Mr. Watson's hand than to force him to work with the man dating his daughter.

Thinking it over, Theodore came to understand David's point, as he sat on the edge of his bed, staring across the electrified cages at David sitting cross legged.

It's not ideal, but Theodore thinks he can manage, especially since Mr. Watson wouldn't want Torchwood linking him together with Theodore and Lila, out of risk of losing his clearance, and ending up in a cage himself.

"Al?" Theodore called out in his mind, hoping for a miracle, and luckily one came, as Al whispered, "What? Can't you see I'm hiding?"

Since the scientists have been studying him, Al's done everything keeping them from getting inside, the keys they seized from Theodore and David won't work, and Al's been good about preventing them from trying to make keys of the lock.

They're stubborn, he'll give them that, but he's older than their bloodlines, he'll out stubborn them, all!

Seriously, they've even went far as getting a giant torch trying to cut open the door.

Don't worry, his counterpart isn't letting them get anywhere inside, either, and there's no chances of destabilizing anything with them in proximity.

Still, Al's struggling as he's trying to keep up the illusion that he's just a machine, nothing to it, hiding his AI nature out of fear that they'll try to lock him down further or strip him for parts to understand it better.

Oh, trust him, they've been doing everything under the sun, but they haven't had any luck.

"I need a favour," Theodore informed him as Al snorted, "A favour?"

He's caught up to speed before saying, "Yeah-yeah, I have his sheet, the man's been almost on every ship in the known continent."

Paul S. Watson has an interesting history with both navies, that it surprised Al that he never did anything more with his navy career outside engineering, but Theodore convinced him that it's their ticket out of this situation.

"You're a ship, right?" Theodore pointed out that by technicality, the TARDIS's a ship, and while Al agreed that Theodore wasn't wrong, he's not that kind of ship.

Though, he sees Theodore's point.

"Yeah, I think I can work that angle," Al agreed with Theodore's ploy, saying it'll take time, but he can make it where only Mr. Watson's able to work on him and need Theodore's help.

Though, Al reminded him that there's a high probability that Mr. Watson's furious with Theodore, but Theodore told him that's his problem, not Al's.

"Is there anyway you can track the Daleks?" Theodore asks him, but the AI told him that he couldn't track the one in the ocean, no chance of him locating the ship before D-Day happens.

Whatever the Daleks did, they're craftier than he expected, and for him to fully utilize everything aboard the TARDIS in an attempt finding them, he needed to be unlocked, but that can't happen, unless Theodore and Mr. Watson worked together.

"And don't worry, I know about Mr. Pratchett, hard to forget a face," Al added that he's aware that Pete threw his hat into equation, even despite it being decades since he traveled with Mr. Pratchett last.
