Foul Play

August 2022

RJ and Roy walked into the court wearing their uniforms.

Kaden, Alister, RJ, and Roy were all standing plus one other player. They were in the starting lineup for today's game against Witney High School.

Ratchet and Rivet were there watching them play. This was their first game against them.

"Okay guys, do your best out there alright?" the coach, coach Zack said.

"Right!" all ten players said.

"The game between Roman High and Witney High is about to begin!" the referee said

"Let's go, guys!" RJ said.

They were playing great. They were ahead by seventeen points. They were near the end of the second quarter.

"Come on guys!" Rivet called out as they got another basket.

"They're playing great!" Ratchet said.

"They are, Chet. Rivet said as they got another shot in.

"YES!" Ratchet said. Kaden got it in.

Then someone pushed Roy to the sidelines. He twisted his foot to the side Roy held his ankle in pain.

The referee blew the whistle.

"Foul! Witney!"

Something is wrong Ratchet thought he usually gets up and starts playing again.

"Roy, dude. Can you stand?" Kaden said. The five players from the bench ran to the Lombax.

"Roy, are you alright?" one of the team members Wayne asked.

"I don't think so. That guy pushed me and I twisted my ankle." he cringed

Kaden took off his left NIKE shoe and saw the damage.

"You're okay. But we need to take him to the hospital just in case."

They went into Ratchet's car and they went to the closest hospital to the school.

The doctors examined him. It was just a sprained ankle as Roy predicted.

Thank goddess.

"Roy can't play for a week." the doctor said.

Ratchet nods.

"We understand."

"That guy fouled me on purpose!" Roy said.

"Roy, maybe he didn't, maybe it was an accident." Ratchet told his youngest son.

"Maybe… no one knows, dude…" Roy told his dad.

Ratchet nodded and smiled, he clapped a hand on his shoulder.

"Roy. Who cares who did it? You played great." he smiled. Roy hugged his dad.

Notes: Hey guys! I'm back. Wow. another story in two days, I think it's because I have my rhythm back after doing these once a week. Or maybe it's the two weeks of basketball I've been doing, improving my thinking and clearing my head.

I think that's what it is. Sports help me a lot with writing. I'll see you guys later!
