Chapter 13

Pewter City:

The mocha eyed, and wavy slate gray haired, that hung down to her mid-back, Chalcedony thoroughly enjoyed playing tour guide for the Pallet Town Trio. She wore an outfit similar to the Ground Type uniform of Galar as her mother had actually been born in Galar, and still had family there. They had sent photos of the uniform, and Chalcedony's mother had her outfit custom made since Chalcedony was in fact specializing in Ground Types as a Coordinator. She was interested in seeing how Shino would handle battling Brock since he did happen to be a Bug Type Specialist, as she had learned, and Bug Types were weak to Rock Types. He did have a Krabby with him, though she was also looking forward to watching Ash battle Brock. Ash had revealed that he had helped Naruko come up with a way to show off Izanami's Poison Fang, which meant Ash thought outside the box.

All told, Chalcedony felt right at home with them. She did learn that Ash and Shino both had PokéGears. She didn't know if she wanted to travel with them or not, but she did want to keep in touch with them, and occasionally meet up. The only problem was that she didn't have anything that would allow her to stay in contact. When she voiced this, as one, Ash and Shino turned to look at Naruko, " My allies have found that which you were seeking, sister. "

Naruko cackles disturbingly like Green, and those that had run-ins with Green, shall we say, paled when they heard that. " Give me locations, and I'll be back at some point. Leave getting you a PokéGear to me, Chalcedony. "

None of them were expecting Gary to actually materialize next to Naruko, " I want in. "

The blonde smiles at him, next to her and Shino, he was the best at poker. " Got a Ditto? "

Gary gives his surrogate sister a bland look, " You really think Ma wouldn't have taught me how to disguise myself properly without a Ditto. I want to watch a master at work. Besides, I'm still pissed I didn't even consider asking you to help me get the harder to get supplies. "

Gary had been so put out when Daisy explained what Naruko had done to their grandfather. Why the Hell hadn't he made a deal with Naruko to get the harder to get things like Red, Blue, and Yellow Flutes for one? " Ash found a Beedrillite in Viridian Forest, " Naruko deadpans, " Agree to mock trade with me should I ever catch a pokémon that evolves through trading, and I'll get you everything I did for Ash and Shino. Plus, any contests you find interesting I'll enter for you, and send the winnings your way. "

Gary smirks, " I'll also give you a cut of any money I make off of betting on you. Pleasure doing business with you, I can see why my Ma has practically adopted you. "

" Hey, I was orphaned mere hours after I had been born. I actually need decent female guidance that is not Delia Ketchem, no offense, Ash. " Naruko retorts.

" None taken. You did happen to be born and raised in the Elemental Nations where they have a different set of values, and aren't nearly as restrictive on certain adult activities as most places outside of the Elemental Nations are. Auntie Green is a better female role model for someone like you. " Ash admits.

Chalcedony's eyes widen at this news, " Naruko, you're not native to Kanto? "

" Neither is Shino. My maternal patron legendary had to intervene, and decided to drop us in Pallet Town. Until Ash Shino was the only friend I had. Due to circumstances beyond my control I was the village scapegoat and pariah. I was attacked by humans and pokémon alike. Kuwa actually saved me from getting hit by a Sceptile's Leaf Blade, then Shino intervened. " Naruko admits.

Chalcedony looks at Shino and the Aburame Heir explains, " My clan has a symbiotic relationship with a certain breed of bug that eats chakra. We essentially become living hives for these bugs, and my allies can drain enemies be they human or pokémon of enough chakra to knock them out. A humane way of dealing with rampaging pokémon. My clan specializes in Bug Types for a reason after all. "

" What is it exactly that you were seeking, Naruko? " Chalcedony asks curiously while assimilating that information.

" High stakes illegal poker games. With my ability to Henge or Transform like a Ditto I can clean several Idiots out of their money. Green-kaa-san would be so proud of me for that. She loves stealing from Team Rocket bases after all. "

Gary snorts, " That's my Ma all right. "

" Get me a PokéGear, and fill this form out to win me a Unovan Stunfisk. " Chalcedony deadpans. Like hell she was going to complain if Naruko fleecing Idiots was going to net her a PokéGear, which were ridiculously expensive, " Along with Red, Blue, and Yellow Flutes. "

" Can do, let's go fleece us some idiots, brother dear. Any money you lift you can keep. If they're too stupid to notice you pickpocketing them they deserve to lose their money. " Naruko says flatly.

Shino, Ash, and Chalcedony watch them head off after Naruko enters the contest for her new female acquaintance. " What were the Elemental Nations like? " Chalcedony asks, and Shino starts educating the other Coordinator on his birthplace. He actually preferred Kanto, no Idiot Civilians to deal with. Team Rocket he likened to Bandits, and thus didn't care further than that.

In the seal Kurama can't help but cackle. If he didn't know better he'd swear there was Uzumaki blood in Green. She loved causing chaos just as much as the Uzumaki did, that was for sure, and Kushina would have loved her. Hell, Minato and Blue would have been terrified by how well their respective wives happened to get along. Naruko was tolerable, if only because she just asked him for information about her parents, and for help with her Sealing as well. At this point Kurama was seriously debating teaching her the Shadow Clone Jutsu just so he could leave the seal, and teach her, and her ready made genin team the real history of the Elemental Nations. He could trust the Aburame to write it down correctly, or hell, he could do so himself. The real version of events needed to be known. Nah, too much work for him to write it down. It would also give the Aburame another means of making money.

Shinigami's Stomach:

Minato shudders in terror at the thought that came to him from the yang half of the Kyuubi, or Kurama as he learned his name was. Green, The Evolver, and his wife, The Crimson Death, outside of Konoha, or The Red Hot-Blooded Habanero inside Konoha's walls meeting. He knew damned well Kurama was right, the pair of them would have gotten along far too well for his and Blue's collective mellow.

Indigo Plateau:

Blue Oak freezes in the middle of doing the paperwork he absolutely could not delegate. Someone somewhere had just had a terrifying thought that related to him in some way. What said thought happened to have been he did not know, nor did he ever want to! He just knew that whatever it was would harsh his mellow, and give him nightmares for quite some time to come. His luck it also had something to do with his wife, whom he loves dearly, but there were times she fucking terrified him. Especially when she had been pregnant with Daisy and then Gary. He stood by not wanting to know.

Konoha, Collective Training Ground for Pokémon:

Kushina's spirit was definitely pissed at how her darling Dōta had been treated. Now that Lugia had rescued her Dōta, and it had been a while since she had last been in Konoha, the Red Hot-Blooded Habanero was about to make her displeasure known in. Fucking. SPADES! The civilians and few too stupid to live ninja were about to feel a mother's wrath. When you considered Kushina just so happened to have a Froslass, Spiritomb, and Dusknoir all ready to do her bidding, and make them all pay, Konoha was boned.

Konoha in general:

Nara Shikaku by dint of having a Troublesome Situation sense stiffens and then quickly gathers every single member of the Clan that had ever harmed Naruko before having them tossed out on their asses. He would not put it past Kushina's spirit to not have moved on, and so offered up his clansmen easily. He also quickly sends word to the Akimichi and Yamanaka Clan Heads as well. Chouza and Inoichi are equally as quick to gather the guilty parties up, and promptly seal them out of the Clan holdings via chakra signatures.

Hyuuga Hiashi blanched to an impressive degree when an incorporeal, red hair split into nine sections, thoroughly pissed off Uzumaki Kushina can be seen. For once he was actually cursing Fugaku out for being a lucky bastard for getting killed by Itachi. Hiashi had no doubt that Kushina would have gone after him as well. The Uchiha had been some of Naruko's worst tormentors, " Hiashi, my Froslass, Spiritomb, and Dusknoir are dealing with the fuckers of this Clan that harmed my Dōta! I decided to deal with you personally after seeing how you've treated poor Hinata. Hitomi would have eviscerated you for how you've treated her, and allowed others to treat her as well! "

The Hyuuga Clan Head winces at the mere notion of what his dearly departed wife would have done to him for daring to allow the verbal, emotional, and psychological abuse of their eldest child. Hizashi would do worse for not tossing his nephew to the Yamanaka for grief counseling at the very least. " I didn't want either one of my daughters to have the Caged Bird Seal placed upon them. " Hiashi says.

He backs away very quickly when golden chains explode from Kushina's spectral back, apparently that had been the wrong thing to say to the rightfully pissed off spirit. Naturally because Kushina is in fact an Uzumaki her incorporeal chains are actually able to catch him. Logic and Uzumaki's did not go together, at all. Well, Order Logic anyhow, Chaos Logic on the other hand…" You stood by and did nothing as my Dōta was turned into a scapegoat and pariah all in one. Did all of you honestly think I wouldn't find some way to punish you all for what you've allowed to happen or done? "

Honestly, yeah, Hiashi hadn't dreamed there was any way for Kushina to make him pay. He had forgotten how the Uzumaki Clan thrived on making the impossible possible. One thing was certain, Konoha was going to receive a very rude awakening, and shaking up on the reappearance of The Red Hot-Blooded Habanero. Especially since she happened to be a pissed off mother more than willing to make them all pay for how they'd treated Naruko or allowed her to be treated. This is before the Uzumaki Delegation of women all on the same monthly schedule make the decision to travel to Konoha and make their displeasure known for how the last mainline Uzumaki had been treated by them. It would also serve as a reminder to the rest of the Elemental Nations that they hadn't killed the Uzumaki off.

By the time the delegation arrives the rebels would have won in Kiri/Mist, and Terumi Mei was no fool. She would immediately do whatever she could to make reparations towards the Uzumaki Clan, as no sane or insane Shinobi Village wanted pissed off Seal Masters after their collective asses. Iwa/Stone and Kumo/Cloud would follow quickly upon seeing what the delegation would do to Konoha for what they allowed to happen to the last living mainline Uzumaki. Onoki may be old, but he damned well knew what a pissed Uzumaki was capable of. Hell, Kushina had damn near finished off what had been left of the attacking force herself. What she didn't that damnable Yellow Flash had! No, Onoki was not going to leave his village open to Uzumakis driven to the point of seeking restitution!

Sitting at her favorite dango stand, she had finally found a Ditto, Anko is cackling like a mad woman as she watches the sheer anarchy happening around her. Her smile is wicked as she just watches the spirit of Uzumaki Kushina along with the woman's Froslass, Spiritomb, and Dusknoir wreak havoc on all those that had abused the woman's daughter simply for circumstances beyond poor Naruko's control. Anko was one of the few that had always defended Naruko no matter what, and all of her pokémon had been given standing orders to protect the little blonde as well. That Anko was one of the select few that had actually figured out whom Naruko's parents happened to be without having known them personally only meant that she made sure to do what she could for the fourth's only child, and last living Namikaze and mainline Uzumaki.

Elsewhere Hatake Kakashi is standing on a roof leaning against a chimney while he watches the spirit of his older sister figure and her ghost pokémon go after all those that had treated his pack sister like garbage with his Sharingan eye exposed, if only so he would never forget what the spirit of Kushina was doing to Konoha's populace. He made sure he had a decent stock of soldier pills as well so chakra exhaustion wouldn't be an issue until Kushina was done. No way in Hell was he missing a moment of this! His hands had been tied with how much he could help Naruko out, but he had done all he could without getting bitched at. Like a true shinobi he had helped out from the shadows, though not even he had suspected that Kushina's spirit hadn't passed on. Anyone whom knew the truth about Naruko's heritage knew damned well that Kushina would have had the streets running red with blood for how her Dōta had been treated! Hell, if Minato's spirit wouldn't be languishing in the Shinigami's stomach he would likely be joining his wife!

Kakashi was very secure in the fact that he had nothing to worry about when it came to Kushina-nee-san's wrath. While his help had never been overt he had done all he could. Shino Aburame had far more freedom to act when he had become Naruko's friend. Watching his hive drain all those after his pack sister to the point of unconsciousness always gave him the urge to cackle maniacally. If Shino had found little gifts on occasion, well...Shibi had known whom was leaving them for his heir. Shino could act freely where Kakashi could not, so the Copy Nin had left small gifts of gratitude for the Aburame Heir. Kakashi had left Shino hard to find books, high end sets of kunai and shuriken, jutsu and taijutsu scrolls, and even sharpening tools with the instructions on how to properly sharpen his weapons as well. If Shino shared this knowledge with Naruko then it just meant that Kakashi was stealthily looking after his pack sister in a way no one could call him out on.

Shimura Danzo, half an hour later, though he didn't show it, was terrified out of his mind, and rightly so. The vengeful spirit of Uzumaki Kushina had finally made her way to him, her red hair split into nine separate sections while floating in an unseen wind with golden chains made of chakra already erupted from her back, " Imagine my surprise when upon my death I discover you had a hand in the destruction of the mainline of my Clan? How do you think this is going to go for you, 'attebane?! "

Danzo winces, he had never thought to keep ghosts and the like from getting into his hidden bases. Though with ghost pokémon it would have been even harder to do it properly, and he had helped ensure the best seal masters had been killed off, or so he had thought. Apparently the Uzumaki had been wilier than anyone had ever given them credit for. He held no illusions as to what was about to happen to him. Kushina's spirit was going to kill him off, how quickly or slowly was the only question left. He knew no amount of pleading would save his life, the Uzumaki Clan had never suffered fools, and he had been a fool of the highest order helping Iwa/Rock, Kiri/Mist, and Kumo/Cloud eradicate Whirlpool. The second Hokage would be pissed at what he had done in the name of Konoha, and at the expense of a cherished ally. Tobirama-sensei would read him the riot act once he crossed over, unless he let his sister-in-law Mito do so. Mito-dono would kick his ass while reaming him out, and ripping him a new one, all without breaking a sweat.

Fuschia City, Kanto Region:

Obito pauses as he's running through the forms for the new taijutsu style Bruno was teaching him, and then he shudders. He knew this feeling, Kushina-nee-chan's spirit must be wreaking havoc in the name of dealing with all those that treated her only child like Trash. He smirks wickedly, too bad he wasn't there to see the carnage in person. Then he perks up as he remembers Kakashi had a Sharingan eye, one of Obito's own. Knowing Kakashi he would have the eye revealed if only to remember everything with crystal clear accuracy. Maybe just maybe Kakashi would be willing to show it off as a genjutsu once he found out Moltres saved Obito from becoming Madara's meat puppet. Hopefully his genin squad teammate would understand why Obito had maintained radio silence as it were. Though Kakashi would be so jealous that Obito would be the one to train their sensei's daughter.
