Pewter City, Pokémon Center:
Just before the Pokémon Center closed for the night Naruko returns with Gary, leading him to the room she happened to be sharing with her traveling companions, and tosses Chalcedony her new PokéGear. Ash and Shino only need to see her shit eating grin to know she'd been very successful in fleecing several Idiots out of their money. Gary was grinning widely too, " I love your Transformation Jutsu, sis. Turning into Ma just to deposit our earnings, shall we say, brilliant. Hell Ma would approve of the trick too. "
Elemental Nations, Konoha:
Kushina barely even pauses in her very slow, graphic, methodical, and unholy killing of Danzo when she can sense her Dōta has done something to make her very proud. She had already dealt with the entirety of Root, removed all the seals the fucker she was killing had placed. Oh, she knew there would be several Clan Heads in Konoha that would want his head on a pike, but he had a hand in killing off the Uzumaki remaining in the Elemental Nations. Oh, she could not wait until her distant kin made their presence known once more. That promised to be a gloriously Chaotic Event!
Elsewhere Inuzuka Tsume has also tossed out every member of her Clan that ever harmed Kushina's kit, and ordered the Clan ninken and guard pokémon to keep them out. No way in Hell was she getting in the way of an Uzumaki driven to the point of an Unholy Retribution Killing Spree! Their Revenge Driven Pranking Sprees were bad enough, pissed to the point they went straight to Slow, Graphic, Methodical, and Unholy Death Sprees...all of the Elemental Nations would rather deal with a pissed off Uzumaki female during THAT time of the month. Hell, A Pregnant Uzumaki female was considered only marginally better than Slow, Graphic, Methodical, and Unholy Death Sprees.
The instant the ANBU Commander got wind of Kushina's Spirit going on a rampage he immediately sealed out every member of the ANBU that shirked their duty in protecting Naruko while she had still been in the village, as she did happen to be a Hokage's Daughter. The Commander still shuddered whenever he remembered the cackling ANBU Cat had let off when she found out what Lugia had done. Any intelligent, thinking being in Konoha was not surprised that the Uzumaki Clan Patron Legendary had acted, though the ANBU Commander shuddered to think of what would have happened had Raikou been the one to intervene. Though in retrospect that would have gotten everyone's heads out of their collective asses when it came to the Fourth's living legacy.
Sarutobi Hiruzen, Third Hokage, smirks wickedly as he seals his old teammates out of the Tower. No way in Hell was he allowing them to escape from the spirit of a vengeful Uzumaki Kushina. Like Kakashi he was content in the knowledge that he had done all he could for his surrogate granddaughter. He was watching through his crystal ball Kushina's punishment of Danzo though. Served the manipulative old warhawk right! Yes, Koga's actions had left him with an Unholy Amount of Paperwork, but at least he had the entertainment of watching Kushina enact her spectral revenge. He had even activated the recording and projection seals on the crystal ball so he could watch Danzo get his just desserts over and over again. He couldn't even begin to bring himself to care about all those whom had already felt Kushina's wrath. Then again, he had seen Mito in action when she was WELL and TRULY PISSED THE FUCK OFF!
Quite frankly after Lugia saved and then absconded with Naruko and Shino he'd had his most trusted infiltration and information gatherers investigate the village's internal matters, and he was officially. Out. Of. FUCKS. TO. GIVE! Naruko had been sold rotten food, shoddy equipment, substandard clothing, and her landlord refused to fix anything that was wrong with the apartment she'd been granted. Konoha as a whole had whatever Kushina was dishing out coming to them. None of them would get any sympathy from him.
Blue Point Island:
Uzumaki Koshiro, mayor of their town on Blue Point Island, sighs wearily as he goes through the paperwork that was necessary to run a town that he couldn't delegate to his deputy mayor. Now he knew why no sane Uzumaki had ever wanted to be Uzukage which included the Clan Heirs/Heiresses. Paperwork was the very antithesis to the Chaotic Nature of anyone with Uzumaki Blood in them. Aki was now working on jackets for the Aburame Clan as a whole. The seamstress was enjoying the challenge of her talents, though she was also awaiting feedback from the Aburame traveling with the orphaned Uzumaki. There could be kinks that needed to be worked out in the sealing arrays after all. At least when they'd started up their town the founders had made damned certain there could be no lifetime mayors. That would be a NIGHTMARE come to life, by Lugia!
Just as he's placing another thoroughly read and then signed form on the out stack he starts cackling. Any blood Uzumaki recognized this feeling, the feeling of Slow, Graphic, Methodical, and Unholy Death Sprees. It was not often a kinsmen was pushed to that point, as even the Uzumaki themselves feared one of their own pushed THAT FAR! He'd rather deal with his wife pregnant than be on the receiving end of THAT. That didn't mean the Uzumaki wouldn't enjoy the carnage one of their own was capable of producing though. Whom and where though? Hm, it could be one of the survivors in the Elemental Nations. He would later learn from Obito, whom was shown what happened by Kakashi through Sharingan related Genjutsu, that the perpetrator was actually an enraged spirit of a mother.
The mayor gets the shock of his life when Groudon, The Continent Pokémon, and one of Hoenn's Legendaries, just appears with a red haired young boy with a rather large gourd on his back. Though once Groudon explains why he, the telepathic voice sounded masculine, hence the male pronoun, brought the boy to him, Koshiro understands. The mayor swears under his breath about incompetent seal masters, and trying to use a seive to stop a landslide. He creates a shadow clone and sends for his best sealing team to fix this rather monumental CLUSTER FUCK created by Sunagakure. Koshiro also resolves to send a different delegation of Uzumaki women all on the same schedule to Suna to bitch out the Incompetent Idiots whom did the sealing for this boy. Nothing pissed an Uzumaki off more than shoddy Sealing. It was an affront to their Clan specialty!
Land of Wind, Sunagakure, Village Hidden in the Sand:
Subaku no Temari, older sister of Gaara, happened to be the only one in all of Suna/Sand that felt it when Groudon kidnapped her little brother. Quite frankly Gaara would be better off far away from the shit hole they called their home. No one should have the childhood her baby brother had been forced to suffer thanks to their sperm donor. There was also the fact that their Uncle Yashamaru had also played a part in turning her little brother into the homicidal maniac he became. Temari couldn't even begin to imagine what it was like to have the only adult that showed they gave a damn about you trying to kill you. Gaara's pokémon all either had the Sandstream Ability, Sand Veil Ability, Sand Rush Ability, Sand Force Ability, or could learn Sandstorm.
She had not been expecting his Lillipup to gain the Sand Rush Ability upon evolution, as most of those in Suna that caught Lillipup ended up with the evolution of Herdier getting Intimidate, and Ability Capsules were very hard to come by in the Elemental Nations. Temari leaves an offering for Groudon, the Subaku Clan Patron, for getting Gaara out, and sends heartfelt thankful prayers Groudon's way as well. She would laugh her ass off when the all female Uzumaki Delegation on the same schedule arrives to rip everyone whom was party to sealing the Ichibi no Tanuki into her little brother a new one. Groudon would ensure she had a Rotom Phone specially modified for Desert Climates when that moment comes as well.
Pewter City, Kanto:
Ash rolls his shoulders as he wakes up for the day and puts a call in to his Aunt Crystal asking that she make Pidgeotto inactive so he could call his Chinchou back to his party. Crystal agrees to that easily enough along with doing so for his recently hatched Riolu as well. " How in Arceus' name did you get a female Riolu? "
" Naruko won me a Riolu Egg and refused to tell me what the Egg would hatch into. " Ash deadpans, " Though once my Riolu evolves she can teach me how to actually use my Aura. "
Crystal chokes on the pinap juice she had just taken a sip of, " I forgot that she fleeced the boss in a poker game to get the hard to get items practically in triplicate. Green loves Naruko's luck. "
Ash grins at this and chats with his Auntie Crystal a little longer before saying his goodbyes. Then he heads to the cafeteria to feed himself and his pokémon. He wanted to watch Shino face Brock first, mostly so he could watch for the look Brock was sure to have on his face when Shino Mega Evolved his Beedrill. Being friends with Naruko nurtured Ash's natural Trolling tendencies, and his proclivity for acquiring blackmail. That Green then nurtured his blackmail acquiring tendencies even further...well, no one needed to know that just yet. He makes sure to give all of his pokémon on hand equal love and attention. His baby Riolu was sitting on his lap while Dunsparce was sitting on the table next to him. The rest of his pokémon were ranged out around him while they ate.
Chinchou was happily catching up with the others while also filling them in on what their other team members got up to at the Oak Ranch. Admittedly there was only the Alolan Rattata and the female Nidoran for the moment, but the others all appreciated hearing what they were doing while at the Ranch. Ash fully intended to bring over the Alolan Rattata after the Cerulean City Gym battle. Pidgeotto would be useful for Celadon City, as would Butterfree both being Flying Types. Hm, maybe he should see about catching a Magnemite, as Steel Types were immune to Poison Types, and a lot of Grass Types had Poison as a second Type. The only ability that would allow Steel Types to be poisoned happened to be Corrosion, and only the Salandit line had that ability.
It would mean swinging by the Power Plant, but that shouldn't be too much of a hardship for them. Still, he'd make sure to bring it up with Shino and Naruko. Chalcedony and Shino were the next to emerge from their room, and they join him at the table he'd claimed. That Chalcedony got herself a Komala Coffee was observed but not mentioned. Shino ordered himself a Roserade tea sweetened with Combee Honey as a drink. Gary and Naruko emerge twenty minutes later, Akumu once more on his new owner's right shoulder while Kuwa was on her left. The last two call their teams out, and make their orders. Naruko orders a Roselli Juice as her drink whilst Gary chooses Moomoo Milk.
" Shino, Naruko, after we're done in Vermillion City would there be any objections to heading towards the Power Plant so I can get a Magnemite? " Ash asks.
" None from me. That would be an excellent opportunity to develop counter strategies against electric types. " Shino muses.
" Works for me too. I wouldn't mind finding an Elekid or Voltorb. " Naruko admits.
" Let me know when you plan to hit the Celadon Game Corner. I am so taking advantage of your luck, sis. Hell, call me before you head for the Power Plant. Might get some hard to find in Kanto Electric Types knowing your luck, Naruko. " Gary states.
Naruko smirks, " Hell, we could take the train to Goldenrod City and I could clean out the Game Corner there too. "
Gary starts smirking as well, " I like the way you think, we can clean Goldenrod out of TM's as Celadon offers Porygon, Dratini, Scyther, and Larvitar. If we get enough Porygon we can all trade amongst ourselves and trade back to get the evolutions. "
Chalcedony looks at Naruko, " I want a Larvitar, if I don't decide to travel with you, let me know when you're hitting Celadon's Game Corner. "
Shino's dark lenses gleam at the mention of Scyther as a prize, " Hey, they have Abra too, and Abra are a pain in the ass to catch. " Ash points out.
" You have a rather fair point there, Ashy-boy. Quick Balls are one of the best inventions ever. " Gary deadpans. He was so sticking around to see Shino school Brock with a Mega Beedrill. He damned well knew Ash would have called his Ma to ensure Shino would have a Keystone.
Imagine their surprise when the instant they step outside the Pokémon Center they get met with a Dragonite with a Dragonite Express Deliveries Logo hanging around its neck. The Dragonite hands Naruko a package which they discover holds six Rotom Phones, and the Rotom to power them. Chalcedony snaps up the gray one, no one even saw Naruko's hand move as she snaps up the neon orange one, Ash grabs the crimson colored one, Shino grabs the one the same shade of green as Scyther and a normal Caterpie, and Gary picks the basic black colored one which left the Rotom Phone that was colored basic white. They each grab a Poké Ball with a Rotom in it, and soon their new Rotom Phones are up and running.
" Hey, Gare-bare, Naruko, you two thinking what I'm thinking? " Ash asks them.
Their answering smirks told him they were, " You mean the fact that our new phones are sentient and literally capable of getting several angles of the look on Brock's face when Shino pulls out his ace? " the surrogate siblings ask together.
Ash smirks as well, " Why yes, yes I do. Should we mention the blackmail acquisition properties of Rotom Phones to Auntie Green? "
Gary outright cackles maniacally and dials up his mother immediately with his PokéGear. Say what you would, but Gary was actually an even mix of his parents, he just hid his Inner Green a whole lot better than anyone realized including his older sister Daisy.
Indigo Plateau, Blue's Office:
Blue Oak freezes in the midst of signing his name to a thoroughly read and understood document. He knew this feeling, dammit. Something just happened to make his wife very happy, which meant she'd been given a new means to sew Chaos, and then record it for posterity. Who in their right mind would give his wife a new means of acquiring Blackmail anyhow?
Alola, Hano Resort:
Green Oak, wife to Blue, mother of Daisy and Gary biologically, and Naruko emotionally cackles when her son, surrogate nephew, and surrogate daughter inform her of what Rotom Phones were capable of. " Naruko, honey, can you do your Kaa-san a favor and buy me a Rotom Phone, then have it sent to me via Dragonite Express. If you could, I'd like it to be green with little Blastoises on it. "
" You got it, I'll need to hit a few more fun places, but I can do that easily enough, as I have the contact info for the makers. "
Green smirks, in other words Naruko would need to clean out a few more gambling dens to make sure she had enough to special order a Rotom Phone for her and be able to pay for Dragonite Express. " Are there any pokémon you'd like me to get? "
" Ash, Shino, and I have a series of trades going with Kukui. Kaa-san, I'd like you to meet Chalcedony. A fellow Coordinator that specializes in Ground Types. She gave me a run for my money here in Pewter City. "
" Hello, ma'am. " Chalcedony says as she's shoved into view.
" None of that ma'am stuff, it makes me feel old. Call me Evolver-sensei if you must be formal, if not, Green will work just fine. " Green says.
" Would you be willing to get me a Mudbray, Evolver-sensei? " Chalcedony asks her.
" Any friend of Naruko, Shino, and Ash's I'm willing to do so for. I'm also willing to do so for any actual friends my son ends up with. " Green deadpans.
Gary sighs, " Gee, thanks for that, Ma. "
" Sweetheart, you have a very bad habit of flaunting your superior knowledge, much like your father did until Red and I finally beat some humility into him. Academic smarts will only get you so far, and your attitude is why Naruko pranked you, if only to help you learn some humility. If not for Naruko Ash wouldn't even still tolerate your presence. "
Gary winces at how bluntly his Ma says that even as Chalcedony raises an eyebrow as she Looks at him, " My older brother tried that shit with me, I kicked him in the gonads each time he tried to flaunt his book smarts. Our parents generally wouldn't have allowed it, but he was getting on their nerves as well. They considered it negative reinforcement, and it only took him three months to figure out why he kept getting kicked in that particular part of his anatomy. "
Gary shudders, " I'll take public humiliation over that always. "
" Anko-itoko would love you, Chalcedony. " Naruko says, " Though she specializes in Poison Types. "
Shino twitches, he still had nightmares about the day Naruko and Anko met. Their arguments over whether Dango or Ramen was superior actually caused a rampaging Ursaring to turn tail and haul ass in the opposite direction. Shino had seen it happen, as had his now Beedrill. If not for his Weedle's testimony to his father as well Shino would not have been believed. Anyone whom had actually witnessed the event still thought of it as a mass genjutsu or alcohol induced hallucination. " Naruko, please do not give Anko a mini-me. One of her is more than enough. "
" Just imagine the looks on the Councils' faces at Anko having a mini-me. " Naruko retorts.
" Complaint retracted. Just let me inform the Clan so we can gather an appropriate amount of blackmail photos on them. " Shino says in a flat tone, though if you listened closely you could hear the anticipation in his voice.
" I do believe I'll invite myself along for the Chaos you two seem to be planning. " Green says, " It promises to be quite delightful. "
" Count me in. " Gary says.
" Well, there is the Chunin Exams. " Naruko muses.
" We don't have a Jonin sensei though. " Ash points out.
Naruko gives him a deadpanned look, " Are you forgetting about my luck? "
Ash cocks his head to the side as he considers this, " Fair enough. Take 'em by storm? "
" Indeed, and if that means killing off the competition in the second part so be it. We're ninja. " Shino states.
Ash nods at this, he'd take out an enemy if need be. Ninja were meant to slip in and out with no one the wiser. Assassination was their bread and butter. He had no problems with eliminating major threats in a rather permanent manner, intellectually at least. He knew it would hit him rather hard emotionally, though he knew Shino had plans for that, and was going to teach him how to hunt non-pokémon animals just so he could get a 'first kill' in. It was how Konoha desensitized their academy students, and helped them prepare for ending Human lives. Animals were still sentient creatures. As long as you could still feel remorse for your kills you knew you hadn't fallen too far. Those that enjoyed the killing and were loose cannons tended to get killed off in some manner.
Green, Gary, and Chalcedony all have different reactions to this. Green damned well understood that there were times someone had to be put down. Should have done so with Giovanni. Hell, if she had thought about it she would have hired someone from the Elemental Nations to get rid of the fucker, or find incontrovertible proof of his involvement in Team Rocket. That would most assuredly have Silver in his Happy Place. Gary had honestly not comprehended fully what the true role of a ninja happened to be. Chalcedony nods grimly, " I hate to say it, but the Elemental Nations have less trouble with those that make trouble, as they have a tendency to erase the problematic elements. "
That gives Gary pause, " That is a fair point. From what little is heard they may war with each other, they do have jails, but ninja on a mission don't go out of their way to keep their enemies alive unless the mission dictates it. They wouldn't have a problem like Team Rocket over there. "
" Anyone want me to get them anything else while I'm in Alola? " Green asks.
" Alolan Sandshrew and an Ice Stone to evolve it. " Gary says.
" Female Salandit. " Ash deadpans.
" Magby, and a Magmarizer. " Naruko states, " See if you can source me an Electrizer too since I plan on getting Elekid. "
" Got, Tschüß, my darlings. I'm going to get back to my sunbathing. " Green says and hangs up.
Shino summons Tentōchuhoshi after writing out a coded missive for Anko. The woman would love to have a mini-me that specialized in Ground Types instead, as a lot of Ground Types were also Rock Types, which meant a lot of collateral damage along with plenty of opportunities to instill pain and fear of retaliation upon the victims. Anko was the top physical torture interrogation specialist whilst Ibiki was the one that went for the head games, and Inoichi hit you in your emotions when you least expected it, or thought you had long since killed them off. Once that was done Shino calls out his Beedrill and hands him the Beedrillite. Then he recalls his starter, Brock liked two on two battles which meant his Krabby would be up first. Then Shino would unleash his starter. Ash, Naruko, and Gary are giving their Rotom Phones implicit instructions to catch the look on Brock's face when Shino busted out Mega Evolution from as many angles as possible. Shino had read the Indigo League rules thoroughly, and there was nothing in the rules to keep someone from using a Mega Stone should they have one. They could watch the whole battle on Shino's trainer's page. The expression on the Gym Leader's face, not so much.
Ash would challenge the gym the two days from now, just to give the gym leader time to recover from facing Shino. While Shino steps into the challengers box at the Pewter City Gym the others head up to the balcony to watch the action, with Naruko, Ash, and Gary's Rotom Phones hovering around them, waiting for their cue to capture pictures for their owners. Pewter City's Gym Trainers Camper Jerry, Camper Liam, Picnicker Amara, and Hiker Edwin were easily dispatched by Shino's Krabby, and he made sure to replenish the Power Points of his Krabby's moves along with healing Krabby up after every battle. Like hell he would reveal his ace before he had to. No need to let Brock gather too much intel on him and his team.
Brock frowns thoughtfully after observing Shino of Pallet Town's battles. Not many had the forethought to go fishing before leaving Pallet Town, and it was obvious to his keen gaze that Krabby was well trained and cared for by Shino. The fact that he had Leppa Berries on hand to replenish Krabby's moves, and enough Super Potions to heal Krabby up as well...Shino was not the usual beginning trainer. He was also wondering what Shino's second pokémon would be as well. Hiker Mitchel stands in as the referee for the battle for the Boulder Badge, " This will be a two on two pokémon battle between Challenger Shino of Pallet Town and Gym Leader Brock. Only the challenger will be allowed to make substitutions. Battlers, send out your pokémon! " Hiker Mitchel intones.
Shino sends out his Krabby while Brock sends out his Geodude. " The first match will be Krabby VS Geodude, begin! " Hiker Mitchel says.
Shino had never been more grateful for the fact that Ash and Naruko both seemed to have this odd ability to find useful TM's just lying on the ground, not to mention the fact that his Krabby learned Water Pulse from watching Ash's Tentacool teach his Dunsparce. One of the numerous TM's Ash had found in Viridian Forest was TM 31 containing Brick Break(AN: According to Gen VII), and Ash had allowed Shino to teach it to his Krabby. He knew his Krabby was close to evolving as well. " Geodude, Tackle, let's go! "
Shino pushes his glasses back up his nose, " Krabby, Water Pulse. "
The Water Pulse halts Geodude in his tracks, and ends up being a one hit TKO(Total Knock Out). Brock winces at this as Mitchel announces Shino's win, apparently Shino had trained his pokémon up before coming here. " Rock and Roll, Onix. "
" Krabby, return. Beedrill, it's time to defend the hive. "
Brock blinks at the unusual choice of pokémon to go against his Onix. Shino actually full on smirks at this, " Like Onix is your starter, Beedrill is mine. "
" Onix VS Beedrill, battle begin! "
Shino holds his left wrist aloft and smacks it with his right hand, " Beedrill, let's show them all the strength of our bond, Mega Evolve! "
The three Rotom Phones catch the look on Brock's face from just about every conceivable angle before going back to their owners. Ash, Naruko, Gary, and Chalcedony are laughing their asses off up on the balcony while Brock's younger siblings, whom had all come to watch can only stare in shocked awe at seeing a Mega Evolution in person. " Infestation, and follow that up with Brick Break! " The TM for Infestation was another one Ash had found, along with the one for X-Scissor as well.
Onix getting hit by the super effective attack snaps Brock out of his stupor and he uses a Super Potion on Onix before ordering a Screech attack. Shino frowns at this, " Focus Energy, and then use Brick Break once more! "
" Onix, dodge, then use Tackle when Mega Beedrill is in close. " Brock counters.
Shino remains stoic, as one would expect of an Aburame, " Aerial Ace! " While there was no discernible emotion in Shino's voice there was emphasis should one know how to spot it.
Kuwa caws smugly at this, she had been the one to teach Beedrill how to use Aerial Ace after all. Kuwa had happened across the TM containing it before she saved her trainer from that Imbecilic son of a Gulpin and Wimpod's Leaf Blade attack. It hadn't been too hard for her to teach Aerial Ace to Beedrill. While the attack may not have done much to Onix, it did allow Beedrill to gain some distance and put to use his superior agility. Onix was also still being damaged by Infestation as well. " Venoshock, Beedrill. "
" Onix, dodge it! "
Onix was too slow, and so the Venoshock hit, made more effective by the fact that Mega Beedrill gained the ability Adaptability upon Mega Evolving. It meant any moves of Mega Beedrill's dual typing gained one and half to two times more power thanks to STAB. Brock was really beginning to think he should at least teach Protect to Geodude and Onix. Only having Tackle as an offensive attack on both of them...he was getting pwned in this battle. He was just eternally grateful pokémon couldn't Mega Evolve on their own. Beedrill were terrifying enough on their own, capable of Mega Evolution...even Heatran would turn tail and run the other way! One Aerial Ace powered Brick Break and Onix was down. Shino gains 1386 in Poké Dollars, and gets the TM for Bide. Shino is also awarded the Boulder Badge which he puts into his Badge Case.
" That was a rather disappointing battle. " Shino monotones.
" Since Pewter City is generally the first gym new trainers face…" Brock admits, shrugging helplessly, " Though I will be teaching Geodude and Onix a few more attacks. I'm bound by League rules. "
" Ah, I see. That does make sense. " Shino says, and he gives his Beedrill some nectar to snack on for doing so well in battle.
Still, to have Geodude TKO'd like that, he'd best start giving his team Passho, Babiri, and Rindo berries to deal with super effective attacks. His team also needed at least two offensive attacks, as with Bide Onix could get taken out before it could be used, which really, what had he been thinking? Yes, Bide was powerful, but only if you could actually use the move. Maybe get some Rock Type moves in the move pools as well. His battle against Shino was just embarrassing! Misty was never going to let him hear the end of this!
