"I wonder why we're gathered here?" Castiel said. "Did someone just randomly organise a tea time moment?"

"But that's only a good thing, isn't it?" Igos replied. "Tea time equals some nice, solidary time where we talk about our day."

"Exactly" Arnold said. "I've had a pretty long day, even if it's not over yet. At least we have those neat elevators in order to reach the three incarcerated kings, and no longer those painful, steep stairs."

"Yeah, me too" Rupert said. "Glad none of us guards no longer have sore foot muscles or feet thanks to those blessed elevators."

Some of the servants started serving some tea and biscuits here and there to please everyone who sat at the large table in the dining hall.

While this happened, King and Queen entered the same hall and had a seat at their usual spots.

"About time you two showed up" Clover's left head said in a snippy tone.

"Hi there, my King and Queen!" Clover's middle head said in a cheery tone.

"Um… h-hello…" Clover's right head said in a shy tone.

"Hi There Sweet Clover" Queen said with a friendly smile and wave.

"Are you feeling any better, my Queen?" Mari asked. "Amore told me you were sick this morning."

"Yes Mari Dear I'm Doing Better Right Now Thank You Kindly." Queen's visor showed the ':)' emote while she spoke. "I Honestly Hope This'll Last."

"Me too. I'd hate to see you being sick."

"I Hate Being That Sick In General So I Understand: Your Feeling."

"Wouldst thou liketh to haveth some tea, mine Kinge and Queene?" Rouxls asked.

"Yes Please Rouxls."

"Yes, please" King replied.

Once everyone at the table was provided with some tea and biscuits, King tapped his mug with his spoon to get everyone's attention.

The metaphorical butterflies immediately started fluttering in Queen's stomach. She was very excited to finally be able to tell everyone about her pregnancy soon.

"Dear Card Castle peers" King started. "Is it not a pleasant noon? Everyone is either on break or already done, and it is indeed a phenomenon to behold a situation like this at 3 p.m., yet I can sense that it's also very pleasant." He briefly stopped to take a sip of his highly sweetened tea. "But there's a reason why we've come together here. Not to worry, it's not anything bad. Nobody is dead or dying, and I'm not thinking of divorcing Queen either."

Some of the Card Castle peers chuckled a little at the last statement.

"Phew" Cathy sighed, "that's a ginormous relief with all of those disagreements lately…"

"They still wanted a baby, right?" Izuki squeaked, "if I recall correctly…?"

"Oh my gosh" Milo gasped in response to Izuki. "Is this…?"

"What I think it is?" Nico added.

"We've come here to share some good news" King continued. "One of my and Queen's grandest wishes. Something we've always wanted ever since getting married. Something that will hopefully improve our marriage a little, since we've indeed been in quite a lot of disagreements for the last months." He put his hand on Queen's shoulder in a loving fashion.

Queen herself looked at King with a sweet smile and couldn't help but give him a quick kiss on his cheek, making all of the Card Castle peers say a hearty "aww…" in response.

"But most importantly, something we've only just planned on sharing as of today. I… don't really have the courage to say it, though." The royal spadeling chuckled heartily.

"Then Should I Tell Them?" Queen asked.

"Please do."

"Alrighty." The cyber monarch took a good sip of her tea and cleared her throat. "Dear Card Castle Peers…" Exactly five seconds of silence. "I'm Pregnant!" While she said this, her visor showed the text 'true'.

All of the Card Castle peers gasped in surprise upon hearing this revelation.

"I knew it!" Milo and Nico exclaimed in unison.

"That's amazing news!" Cathy and Amore chuckled in unison.

"Finally…!" Mari said. "She wanted this for so long…!"

"Congratulations, mine Kinge and Queene" Rouxls said as he bowed deeply. "I art very happy for thee and thoust little worm." He grabbed King's hand and wanted to kiss its back, but Queen kindly removed the former's hand from there.

"Only I Am Allowed To Kiss Kingy Wingy's Hand" Queen said, "And Vice Versa. Furthermore Nobody Is Allowed To."

"Mine sincereth apologies, mine Queene, for that I hath tried to invadeth thy intimate privacy."

"Thanks, Queenie Beanie" King sighed in relief. "You're a lifesaver." He leaned towards his wife to kiss her cheek back, instantaneously making her smile again.

"There haven't been any babies in this castle for over a decade" Clover's left head said.

"Congratulations, my King and Queen!" Clover's middle head beamed with a genuine smile.

"I already dread those shrill baby cries…" Clover's right head whimpered, hanging low.

"Hey Don't Worry Sweet Clover" Queen reassured Clover as she petted her right head, "The Baby Is Not There Yet So Don't Worry About Their Cries Okay?"

"What's the gender of the baby?" Izuki asked a little too enthusiastically. "Do you already know?"

"Izuki!" Mari said as they gently gave their fellow Ponman's ankle a corrective kick. "That's called their sex, by the way, since gender is who one really is."

"Yeah, sorry, you're right. Our sex isn't important, though, if I'm correct?"

"That's indeed correct. Someone eventually will or won't find that out throughout their life."

"Is the baby going to be like King or like Queen?" Amore asked. "As in their species? Or is this not known yet?"

"It'd be fun if they were like Queen" Cathy said, "and personality-wise too! Sassy, funny, quirky… just perfect for whatever sex or gender!"

"As long as the baby won't grow up and develop themself to be like King… you know how he can be quite rude and demanding, right…?"

"Hey, don't worry. I'm pretty sure both of their parents will be amazing role models." Cathy put her left tentacle arm on her younger brother's shoulder to reassure him.

"I especially have good news regarding the coronation line in which our child will be" King said as he tapped his spoon against his mug of tea once again to silence everyone. "Our finest doctor Iggy has revealed that the baby is going to be…"

Iggy, who also happened to be present, immediately received a grand applause from almost everyone else.

"Whoa, easy now, everyone" she chuckled with a deep blush. "King wasn't finished yet."

Eiji, who sat next to Iggy, immediately made a gesture with his arms in an attempt to silence everyone again, which did help, surprisingly enough.

"Thank you, Eiji." King took another sip of his tea and cleared his throat. "Our child will be the next one in my coronation line, which, naturally, means that Iggy has confirmed that the baby is a spadeling, just like me."

"Holy mother of the Knight!" Eiji gasped. "That's amazing!"

"Isn't it?" Iggy said with a cutesy wink. "All thanks to that handy audio monitor that can perfectly distinguish heartbeats and core beats…!"

"Aww, that sounds so adorable!" Cathy squeaked. "A miniature King… perhaps a little Prince of Spades!"

"King is going to have a miniature version of himself!" Mari cheered.

"I wonder how much the baby will look like their Dad" Milo said.

"A little Prince or Princess of Spades?" Nico added. "So cute."

"We can play our unique 'which one?' equivalent to peek-a-boo with them."

"Ah, just like when Clover was a baby! Nice idea!"

"Regarding What Our Baby Is Going To Be" Queen said as she tapped her mug of tea with her spoon instead, "We Prefer Not To Know This Until They're There, So For All Of Us This Is: A Surprise."

"Ooh" all of the others said in unison.

"Better start thinking of gift ideas that aren't pink, then" Rupert said.

"But real men wear pink as well, right?" Amore asked.

"I don't think pink will suit our King. In fact, I think he'd hate to wear that…!"

"Haha, I can already foresee it…!"

"I think Mum knows just what to make for the baby" Iggy said with a nod. "Something spades-themed, similarly to how she made that clubs-themed blanket for Clover."

"I indeed remember that" Eiji said. "It still perfectly suits the whole ongoing theme of our card suit-related royalty."

Once the evening fell and dinner was only just over, Queen eagerly sat at King's computer while being logged in to Spyke.

King sat next to her on a desk chair that he 'borrowed' from the old bedroom of the King of Diamonds.

"This Already Feels So Much Different From Telling Your Peers In Real Life…!" Queen giggled cutely.

"I wonder if they'll react just like high school girls as well" King chuckled somewhat smugly, "just like my own peers."

"Pff That Was Uncontrolled Chaos…! But Okay Everyone Usually Reacts Like That When Royalty Like Me Expects: A Baby."

As soon as Spyke was fully started up, the cyber monarch clicked Swatch's name, since they were a direct family member of hers, after all.

"What about Tasque Manager?"

"She's Usually There With Swatch At This Time Of The Evening. Those Two Are Almost Inseparable Like: Peanut Butter And Jelly."

"Yummy. Even if we only just had dinner, I could surely use some of that yummy stuff."

Queen giggled once more and grabbed King's hand to kiss its back while impatiently listening to the outgoing call beeps on the computer.

"You're So Silly And Funny Kingy Wingy" Queen giggled. "I Wonder If Our Baby Is Going To Be Like That Too."

"Hello?" Swatch's voice asked from the other end of the digital line.

"Ah Swatchy Watchy Good Evening!"

"Good evening, sis. You sound very cheery today."

"Because I Am My Sweet Stepsibling!" Queen turned her webcam on so that she and King were visible to Swatch, who did the same thing back.

"Hi, my Queen" Tasque Manager said as she smiled and waved at the couple. "And hello to you too, my King. You two had a good day today?"

"Oh Absolutely I Cannot Complain! Even Though I Initially Felt Sick I Gradually Felt: Better."

"Oh dear. Well, it's only a good thing that you've recovered so soon."

"Hello" Nubert said as he almost invaded the entire screen by edging very close to the other end's webcam. "Nubert is here too."

"Nubert, I know you're cute and everything, but Queen wants to see us, too." Tasque Manager picked Nubert up and put him on a nearby stack of books.

In the background, Rolek smiled and waved in a friendly fashion as well.

"Good evening, my King and Queen" he said. "I can sense you two radiate positive energy. I'm probably not permitted to say this, but it's been a while since I've felt that from you."

"For me" King said, "it felt like a long while ago since I felt it as well. Queen and I have been trying a lot of methods to strengthen our marriage and overall chemistry, and only recently, we might've succeeded."

"Why, but that sounds terrific! I'm very proud of the two of you."

"What exactly did you try?" Swatch asked. "Couples therapy? Or, um… regular heart-to-hearts? Sis, remember how Mum and Dad often used to do this whenever they were cross at one another?"

Queen nodded, clearly remembering the unbreakable chemistry between her stepfather and late mother back in the day. They would argue with one another about twice a month, but make up just as swiftly since they didn't want to ruin their marriage that way. Plus, the previous Cyber Queen was known to be a woman of genuine kindness.

"Kingy Wingy And I Had Our Heart-To-Hearts Too" Queen said, "But This Is Not How We Are Currently Strengthening: Our Marriage And Chemistry."

"Then how?" Swatch immediately started blushing, making all of the others laugh in response.

"Ooooh" the five 'Skittles' could be heard saying in the background.

"Guys!" Tasque Manager retorted, "now is not the time for sexual jokes!" She put her hand on Swatch's shoulder to reassure them. "It's okay, you don't have to say it out loud if you don't want to."

"Shall I Tell You?" Queen asked in some sort of playfully taunting tone, her visor showing the ':3' emote while she did.

"Uh-oh, you're pumping our curiosity up, my Queen!"

"Nubert can't comprehend what Queen is saying or doing right now" Nubert said.

"But please tell us. Can you tell we're all anticipated?"

Queen nodded, sat back and put her hand on King's left upper arm.

King simply smiled in response and slowly put his right hand on his wife's stomach as an indirect hint.

"Holy mother of the Knight!" Swatch gasped. "You're not telling us that-"

"You're expecting?!" the five 'Skittles' exclaimed in unison.

"You're pregnant?!" Tasque Manager dramatically exclaimed, causing the Tasque on her lap to jump off in shock.

"Correct!" Queen beamed enthusiastically, causing all of the Swatchlings on the other end of the line to let out a typical Swatchling scream out of disbelief. "And They'll Be Kingy Wingy's Direct Royal Heir Too For The Baby Is: A Spadeling!"

"That's right" King said with a sincere smile and nod. "The best doctor at Card Castle has revealed this to us this morning."

"Any chance her name is Iggy?" Bowen asked.

"Correct."

"Oh my gosh, I'm so jealous of her now! I wish I could've used that audio monitor!" Bowen swiftly stopped to clear his throat. "Were the two of you anticipated to find out what the baby's heartbeat or core beat sounded like?"

"Absolutely. I think the speed of my own heartbeat was nearly as quick as the baby's beforehand."

"Am I dreaming?" Rolek asked as he pinched both of his cheeks.

"You're Most Certainly Not Dreaming Dad" Queen giggled with a blush, her visor showing the text 'haha' while she did. "You're Becoming Their Grandfather I Mean Stepgrandfather!"

"That's amazing! Even if the baby will neither look like me or you, I'll love them just as much as I love both you and Swatch."

"I personally prefer the title 'grandfather' for you" Miguel said to Rolek. "I mean, you adopted our Queen once you married her mother, right?"

"That's correct, but either title is fine with me, my good sir. Although the term 'stepgrandfather' is a whole mouthful for the little child to say once they start talking. We'll see with what nickname they'll come up for me."

"Yeah, that's a fair statement."

"Nubert What Do You Think Of The Fact That Kingy Wingy And I Will Have: A Baby?" Queen asked.

"Nubert doesn't really know" Nubert replied. "Nubert has seen and heard many babies in the city, and they're all very different. Nubert hopes that your baby will be sweet."

"Aww But You're Sweet Too…! If Only I Could Squish You Right Now…!" In the stead of a squish, Queen blew a kiss to Nubert, her visor showing the ';)' emote while she did.

"I hope that our baby will grow up to be a kind individual" King said as he kissed his wife's cheek. "Kind, helpful, determined, strong… a little mix of the both of us."

"For how long are you pregnant?" Tasque Manager asked, "if I may ask, my Queen?"

"Doctor Iggy Told Us: 3 Months."

"So that means that the baby might be due around Halloween?"

"According To My Calculations This Is: Correct."

"Nice."

"In that case," King softly chuckled to Queen, "I know just the nickname for them. They're our sweet little pumpkin."

Queen smiled sweetly and peppered King's left cheek with many kisses.

"I'm very much looking forward to first meeting my nibling" Swatch said.

The five 'Skittles' cocked their heads in incomprehension.

"It's the genderless term in the stead of nephew or niece, as well as a portmanteau of those two words as well as 'sibling', you bunch of airheads!"

"Never heard of the term before" Lemmy said, "but it sounds pretty cool."

"Nibling" Mardi repeated after Swatch.

"Sounds pretty cute" Fabio said.

"Aren't Airheads a type of candy as well?" Miguel asked, sounding somewhat annoyed due to him and his four best friends seemingly being compared to candy for the umpteenth time.

"My Queen?" Bowen asked. "Do you already know what sex the baby is going to be as well? A female spadeling sounds rather unique, if I may take a guess."

Queen shook her head with obvious movements.

"No? Do the two of you want to surprise yourselves?"

The cyber monarch nodded with the same obvious movements.

"Then I should probably stop asking questions, for my next one regarded if the two of you already thought of names yet, but you probably didn't."

"You Know I Suck At Thinking Of Names Right?" Queen giggled after having said this, her visor showing the text 'LMAO' while she did. "Remember That Nameless Doll I Had As A Child?"

"Ah, them. They were just 'your doll' indeed. But the baby requires a name, you know?"

Queen only laughed harder at this statement. It sounded way too logical and rhetorical.

"We'll eventually come with a fitting name" King chuckled along, "don't worry. We still have about 6 more months to sort that out."

"Make sure not to accidentally give them a name that someone else already has" Lemmy said with a smirk, "for there's only one spot for a Lemmy!"

"That's a very sharp one. I occasionally thought of some names here and there, only to realise that some of my peers already have that name. For instance, one of my name ideas was Aurea, but then I forgot that one of our servants is already called that."

"Aurea is indeed a beautiful name. Sounds like 'aurora', which is something that the Lightners occasionally see in the sky."

"Aurora borealis" Nubert said. "Nubert has heard of it yet never seen it before."

"Please do take enough time to pick a nice name, okay?" Fabio said. "There are dozens more than just, well, Fabio, or Mardi, Miguel, Bowen, Lemmy, Aurea… um, Cathy, Castiel, Tobias… you know what I mean."

"It'll Be A Unique Name" Queen said, "That's What I'm Already Sure Of."

"Nice, I can't wait to hear it once the baby is there!"

"I'll Let You All Know That Here On Spyke As Well. If My Energy Lets Me At Least."

"Good one" Bowen said. "Childbirth always tuckers parents out, both physically and mentally. That's what I've learned, at least."

Queen and King called on and on until almost 8 p.m., which was when Queen was visibly becoming tired, her visor showing the fitting text 'zzzz' while she nodded off.

"You're tuckered out, sis" Swatch said. "But to tell you the truth, so am I. I'm still busy processing the fact that you're pregnant and I'm actually becoming a… um… an auncle?" They looked at the five 'Skittles'. "Portmanteau of aunt and uncle, another genderless term."

"I think every one of us still has to process it" Rolek said. "Either way, it was nice to have spoken to you again, and also very nice to have heard the news." He blew a few casual kisses through the webcam. "Have a nice evening, my King and Queen."

"Bye Dad I Love You…" Queen said in a tired tone. "Bye Everyone I Love You All Actually…"

"Love you too, sis" Swatch said.

"Bye, my Queen" Tasque Manager said with a kind smile, "and take it easy, alright?"

After everyone had said their goodbyes, Queen ended the call and made sure to shut the computer down as well.

"Phew I'm Overwhelmed As Ever…" the cyber monarch said.

"Tell me about it" King said as he stretched himself and rubbed his not-directly-visible-eyes. "I could use a lengthy bath by now."

"I'll Just Go To Bed…"

"Are you sure of that?"

"Yeah My Energy Level And Battery Percentage Are: Very Low."

"Oh dear. Here, let me help you." King lifted Queen out of her desk chair in a bridal carry, laid her down on the bed, sought her charging cable and swiftly plugged it into the socket.

"Thanks Kingy Wingy You're A Lifesaver."

"No problem. Sleep well, alright?" The spadeling draped the covers over his wife and kissed her directly onto her mouth, with her returning the kiss to him. "I love you, Queenie Beanie."

"I Love You Too Darling."

As soon as King left the room to go to his bathroom to run himself a well-deserved bath, Queen was almost immediately out like a light after such a long day.
