Prologue
Wilbur slammed both hands down, one on each arm rest of Eret's throne. "You owe me," he said, voice dangerously low. He kept his glare fixed on the Monarch's eyes. Wilbur wasn't going to back down this time, but it was a bit difficult to focus on being threatening with his little brother laughing behind him.
Eret heaved a slow, but amused sigh, reaching up slowly to pull down their sunglasses, just enough to peer over the rim. Their ghostly eyes bore into Wilbur's soul, searching for any hint of weakness. When they found none, they gave a soft chuckle. "Fine~! I'll do it. Just... back up."
A week had passed since then.
It was Schlatt's idea. He said it was to fund the rebuilding of L'Manburg, and that was probably how he'd suckered Wilbur into coming to bully Eret into participating. Eret was sure the greedy ram meant to keep the profits, but that was to be expected. Still, it sounded like fun. The idea was to hold an auction, selling time with important people with the promise of a date night. It was due to start in three hours, so Eret needed to find a suitable dress and head out.
Foolish was to build the stage, Puffy promised to decorate, and Dream had promised to be on his best behavior and head up the security team. Schlatt never did anything halfway, so there was supposed to be carnival rides, food and games. With the proper make up, dress and attitude, Eret would, no doubt, steal the show. This would be an event to remember.
