Prompt: Morgan wants Peter to hurry

Sometimes, his Spidey-Sense was annoying. Now don't get him wrong. Peter loved it. His sixth sense has saved his bacon more times than Peter could count. But right now? Right now Peter hates it. He could feel the stares his classmates were giving him. Although if Peter was being honest, he'd probably still feel the stares even without his Spidey-Sense. After all, who wouldn't stare when someone's phone starts blasting a child's voice singing a made up spider-man theme song? Nobody, that's who.

Peter couldn't find it in himself to care about his class' reaction to the song though. Despite his ringtone being childish and ridiculous, it was special. There was only one person on his phone with that ringtone, and it was the little girl singing the song. Morgan Stark herself. She made up that song specifically for Peter, and he'd be damned if he didn't show it off.

Peter answered the call with a fond smile on his face. He had a strong suspicion as to why Morgan was calling and knew that the conversation would be amusing.

"Peter!" Morgan whined dramatically before Peter could even open his mouth for a greeting.

"Morgan!" Peter whined back, matching her tone. His whine, however, was more playful than Morgan's.

"You promised you'd take me to the zoo today." Peter could hear the pout in Morgan's voice, clear as day.

"And I will," Peter told her. "After school."

"But that's so far away!"

"Sorry Princess. I can't help that."

"You could just skip," she said matter-of-factly. Peter chuckled but shook his head.

"If I skipped, your dad would have my head."

"Daddy's the one who told me to say that," Morgan told him. Peter held in a laugh. Yeah that sounded like Tony.

"Then your mom would have all of our heads."

"I guess," Morgan said, sadly. Peter's heart almost broke.

"Cheer up Princess. It's a half-day today. In less than an hour, I'm free from this prison and then we can spend all weekend doing whatever you want," Peter said. He hated it when Morgan was genuinely sad. Everyone in their makeshift family did.

"Do you promise?"

"Pinky swear."

"If you break your promise you have to stick a needle in your eye," Morgan said seriously. Peter raised an eyebrow.

"Who taught you that?" He asked, amused. The suspect pool wasn't very large so he had a strong suspicion on who it was that corrupted their youngest.

"Harley," Morgan answered without hesitation. Peter nodded. Called it.

"Of course he did. But yes, if I break my promise then I'll stick a needle in my eye."

"It'll hurt. I had a hair in my eye and it hurt lots. A needle will be worse."

"Correct. So that's how you know I won't break my promise."

"Good," Morgan said. It was quite for a few seconds, the girl not wanting to end the conversation just yet.

"How about you make a list of things you want to do this weekend? We can look it over when I get there," Peter suggested. Hopefully it would occupy Morgan long enough until something else distracted her. She was like Tony in that aspect, always staying busy and filtering from one project to the next.

"Okay! Will you bring me a churro?"

"What's the magic word?" Peter teased.

"Will you please bring me a churro?" Morgan repeated, adding emphasis on the please.

"Good girl. Yes I will. Now skedaddle. I need to get back to class."
"No you don't."

"Nice try squirt, but I really do. I'll see you soon," Peter said. He chuckled at the whine Morgan let out.

"Fiiiinnneeee," Morgan whined. "Love you Petey."

"Love you too Princess," Peter answered. A few seconds later, Morgan hung up and Peter was left with the curious stares of his classmates. And Mr. Harrington. Honestly it felt as if the teacher was more into the drama than the teenagers.

"I didn't know you had a sister," Cindy stated. Peter felt his cheeks heating up.

"She's not my sister. Or well, I think of her as my little sister but we aren't related," Peter rambled. He would have continued on had MJ not stepped on his foot to stop him.

I DIDN'T FORGET YOU GUYS! I SWEAR I DIDN'T! Honestly, I accidentally lost the papers that I had written this chapter and my next one on. I was afraid I would have to redo them but then I found the papers so Yay! I haven't had much time to write lately because I became an assistant manager at the theater where I work. Any free time I had disappeared. We were also really short staffed for awhile so I was working more days than I am now. And I'm still babysitting my niece, but I can't write over there anymore because the squirt is mobile now and likes to get into everything. I love her to death, don't get me wrong, but I wish she would stay contained to one area for the sake of my sanity.

Good news though. I am no longer an assistant manager. I stepped down because of how much I had to work and how little time I actually got free. Honestly I would spend like 2 hours at home a day. Not counting when I was asleep. I'm now kind of an emergency manager. I know all the stuff and I still have my keys, but I'll work primarily in the arcade and be a manager if the need me. Its been working out better. I've had more time to write while at work, which for some reason is where my motivation is highest.

I have one more chapter that I need to type up for this fic and then it'll be a little bit of a wait while I try to work on something else. I promise I will never abandon any of my stories! I love writing for you all so I will never give it up. Please enjoy this chapter and all the chapters to come!
