Sly Cooper: Alliance of Thieves

1: Decisions and Encounters

"And just where do you think you're going, my dear tigress?" a one member of Interpol and secret member of the Klaww Gang asked a lone violet furred tigress named Neyla Ghandi as she was excusing herself after dancing with a one Sly Cooper.

"Wow Contessa," sarcastically replied the young tigress as she rolled her eyes and shook her head. "You really don't trust me, do you?"

"You better watch your insolent mouth, little girl," replied back the large spider woman, who was known as the Contessa. "Perhaps I need to 'readjust' your attitude."

"Well, I guess you want the old bird to drop you the moment he sees you're about to fail him," explained Neyla as she was referring to the Klaww Gang's leader, Arpeggio. "Figured maybe we could get some… leverage to ensure our place is secure within the Klaww Gang."

"I have no reason to suspect that Arpeggio would get rid of us," said the Contessa as she shook her head. "I mean, come now. Both of us are members of Interpol. With our positions within Interpol, we're firmly secure.

"But if you insist on this need to acquire your 'leverage' against Arpeggio," continued the Contessa, "I will not stop you. Just know that Rajan's guards will not provide you the same exemption that they provide the other members of the Klaww Gang."

As the tigress walked away from the Contessa, she made certain to avoid the leader of the Klaww Gang, Arpeggio. The head of the Klaww Gang recruited her by blackmailing her with threats of turning her in to Interpol for "other crimes committed" during her time at the British university she scammed her way into. Apparently, the university happened to be Arpeggio's alma matter and he had connections with it. Neyla managed to avoid Arpeggio, only to run into Jean Bison, the strong headed bison in charge of the Klaww Gang's exports and imports.

"Now where might a purdy lady such as yourself be headin' off to?" asked Jean as he looked to Neyla.

"I'm… just going out for some fresh air," lied Neyla as she was eager to get out and complete her secret mission. "It's quite a bit stuffy in here."

"Can't blame ya," replied the bison as he shrugged his shoulders. "All these rich folk with their stuffy noses and pompous attitudes. They suck up all the good air and leave nothing for folk like us who have to claw their way up."

Neyla shrugged her shoulders and gave Jean a slight nod of agreement as she could easily relate to him on having to claw her way up from the slums of nearby New Delhi. But the difference between the two of them was of course… age. Neyla was in her twenty's while Jean Bison himself was, technically, 180-185 years old since he had been frozen and preserved in ice after his accident in the 1850s and thawed out due to global warming. Thankfully to Neyla, Bison let her go on her way to get some fresh air.

After changing out of her ballroom attire and back into normal clothes, Neyla made her way out of Rajan's palace and then surveyed her surroundings. Almost everything looked normal, until she caught sight of a pink hippo that was manning a turret set up on one of local buildings and fired upon a helicopter that was providing security. Of course, Neyla knew that the Cooper Gang were at Rajan's ball for one thing and one thing only… the wings of the infamous Clockwerk. Neyla knew that she didn't have much time before either the Contessa or Arpeggio would sit her down for yet another "therapy session" to ensure her continued support of the Klaww Gang behind Interpol's back towards their ultimate objective.

"As much as I want to watch the hippo fiercely fight against Rajan's security chopper," Neyla said to herself as she looked at her watch and saw the countdown ticking, "I'm on the clock before the next 'session' with the Contessa. Better grab the info quickly before someone comes hunting me down.

"Guess I should be grateful that Sly and his gang are causing quite the commotion," continued Neyla as she headed towards the guest house.

The violet furred tigress made her way over to the guest house where the Klaww Gang members were staying at, using one of the main lessons that she picked up from her observations of Sly Cooper and Carmelita Fox's file on the master raccoon thief. Sly Cooper… he was quite charming, handsome and extremely cute for a thief. No, Neyla thought to herself as she shook her head, trying to get the sly and dashing raccoon out of her head. But as she got into the Klaww Gang's exclusive guest house, Neyla couldn't help but wonder what her life would be like if she pulled off her own heist… stealing the heart of the elusive Sly Cooper from Inspector Carmelita Fox.

"Now that would be the best heist I could ever come up with," Neyla said to herself as she used her inner tigress to prowl and gather the evidence she would need to help bring down the Klaww Gang with. "Better check my watch.

"Got twenty more minutes before I need to be back," Neyla said to herself as she got into a computer that Arpeggio had left open. "As much as I want to give this to Old Ironsides, she'll just use the evidence against me as well and have me thrown in prison with the rest of the Klaww Gang. Unless I can… no. That won't work with Old Ironsides. She maybe narrow minded with her sense of justice, but she's not stupid to fall for such lies to get out of trouble."

Neyla looked at her timer and saw that time was running short for her before she needed to be back at the palace. After gathering all that she could gather against Arpeggio, Neyla went to the rooms of the other Klaww Gang members and found what evidence she could gather against them. Hopefully with enough evidence, Interpol could bring the Klaww Gang down. But the question to her was, would Barkley act on what she gathered? Would Barkley even receive the evidence if she gave Carmelita the evidence, her confession of being forced to spy for the Klaww Gang and offer to use her as an asset to bring down the Klaww Gang? Would the evidence be in better hands with Sly Cooper and his small gang until the Klaww Gang had been fatally weakened? The tigress had to really think about her next move as she was certain that once the Clockwerk wings were stolen by the Cooper Gang, they'd relentlessly pursue Rajan and find his illegal spice production facility. Neyla also reasoned that they would shut it down while swiping the next Clockwerk part that the proud and prideful "Lord of the Hills" held under tight lock and key with extra heavy security. But after the Clockwerk wings got stolen by the Cooper Gang, she would head back to New Delhi and visit the Hindu temple that was run by old wise gazelle.

"Oop, time's almost up for me," Neyla said as she looked to her watch again and saw that the timer had reached a red area. "Better get back to the ball."

Once Neyla had collected everything she wanted against the Klaww Gang, she exited the guest house and began spiriting back to Rajan's "ancestral palace." As she sprinted back, Neyla noticed that the helicopter that was once patrolling the skies above Rajan's palace and living quarters for his guards was eliminated. Once Neyla made it back to the palace, she knocked on the door and informed the guard at the door that she was returning to the ball after having to freshen herself up and get some fresh air. The violet furred tigress then gave the folder, she compiled, to the door guard and instructed him to not give it to anyone else, but her. Not even Rajan was to be given the folder… even under pain of death. As Neyla was about to return to dress back into her ballroom attire, she could hear and feel the thundering footsteps of several elephants that broke loose from their confinement.

'Guessing that the Cooper Gang is at again,' thought Neyla as she walked back to the changing room to back in her ballroom attire. 'I wonder what the elephants have to do with stealing the Clockwerk Wings…'

The tigress put those thoughts aside for the time being as she had to worry about the Contessa tracking her down or worse… Arpeggio. Neyla did wonder how it was that Arpeggio obtained the Contessa's hypnosis technology, but remembered that he was like Clockwerk of the Fiendish Five. Arpeggio provided the Klaww Gang with some of their tech gadgets and it made sense that he developed his own hypnosis tech different from the Contessa. But there had to be more to her being forced to obey the Klaww Gang than just being hypnotized.

"I can think about that after I go visit the old coot at the temple in New Delhi," Neyla said to herself as she was walking past Arpeggio.

"I'm sorry, but who is this 'old coot' you're talking about?" Arpeggio asked Neyla.

Neyla turned to Arpeggio and saw the leader of the Klaww Gang in his personal means of transportation. She eyed the cautious parrot carefully as the tigress knew, one wrong answer could mean another hypnotic therapy session. Wanting to avoid that unnecessary hypnosis session, Neyla answered Arpeggio, "The 'old coot' I'm talking about is back at a Hindu temple in New Delhi where I grew up. I still worship the Hindu gods like Shiva. Is that a problem?"

Arpeggio looked to his forced protégé, studying her closely and looking for signs of betrayal. He could no signs of deceit or betrayal in her as she did make a point. Neyla was Indian and possibly a Hindu worshipper, so it made sense that she wanted to go to a Hindu temple to worship. With no signs of betrayal, the Klaww Gang leader shrugged his shoulders as he replied, "Fair enough, my dear. I suppose one must be allowed to worship who or whatever they worship.

"I sure hope that you enjoyed getting that breath of fresh air outside," continued Arpeggio as he turned around to go back the ball. "Bison told me you went out for a bit to get a breath of. fresh air."

"Uh yes," replied Neyla. "I needed that breath of fresh air. It was getting to be a bit stuffy in the ballroom."

With Arpeggio going back to the ballroom, Neyla let out a sigh of relief. The violet furred tigress was thankful that Arpeggio didn't press her any further. Her powers of persuasion were excellent, but when it came to foes like Arpeggio or even the Contessa, she was no match against them. Thankfully, they were susceptible to deceit like anyone else.

oooooooooooooo

The time of the Cooper Gang's heist for the Clockwerk Wings had come. Neyla looked down to Sly Cooper as he sought out Inspector Carmelita Fox for the dance that he promised her earlier. Neyla didn't want to frame Carmelita Fox as the hypnosis had worn off on her. But ensure that she didn't undergo another hypnosis session for a bit longer, she had her camera ready as she had to follow her instructions of framing Carmelita for conspiring with Cooper Gang. The longer that she remained free from hypnosis, the better chance of her being rid of the hypnosis and possibly even Clockwerk's influence as she had been having dreams of the robotic bird promising her immortality. Neyla then took notice that Rajan's guards left their posts after hearing that the bridge from the guest houses had been destroyed. Destroyed by the Cooper Gang no doubt, thought Neyla. The raccoon thief started his dance with Carmelita and Neyla started snapping photos of Inspector Fox dancing with Sly Cooper. Neyla thought to herself, 'I've got to keep snapping these photos. I just hope that Carmelita is fluent in Arabic as she is English, Spanish, Latin and French.' The violet furred tigress then noticed that a member of the Cooper Gang, Murray, was lowered down to the throne statue and began sawing off the Clockwerk Wings.

"Come on, Hippo," Neyla said to herself softly and quietly. "Hurry up."

Within sixty seconds, the Clockwerk Wings were sawed off the throne room's statue behind Rajan's throne. Neyla had to split her attention between Carmelita dancing with Sly Cooper, the raccoon thief that she wanted to dance with again after having a delightful dance with. But a smile formed on her face as she was going to pull off that heist of her own. A heist that she was certain that Interpol wouldn't give a damn about. The violet furred tigress would steal Sly Cooper's heart and said raccoon thief for herself from right under Carmelita's nose.

'And the best part of my planned heist,' Neyla thought to herself, 'is that I won't get arrested for it.'

"I see you're smiling about something," the Contessa said as the spider woman approached Neyla from behind. "Dare I ask what it is you're smiling about?"

"Oh I'm just happy that we'll be soon rid of Carmelita," lied Neyla as she wasn't going to let the Contessa or even the Klaww Gang know about her secret crush on Sly Cooper.

"Do not worry, my dear," replied the Contessa as Neyla snapped one last photo of Carmelita dancing with Sly Cooper. "Carmelita has had her usefulness to us. Now, we'll just need to find a way to eliminate her from the picture… permanently."

"The wings! What happened to the Clockwerk Wings?" demanded a shocked Rajan as he turned and noticed that his prized possessions were stolen from him.

"Guess it's time for us to go to work," Neyla said to the Contessa before taking one last photo of Carmelita's angry face when she realized that the raccoon thief played her like a fiddle.

oooooooooooooo

"Well, things did not go as planned," Carmelita said to Neyla and the Contessa after she broken her cover and made many arrests. "We may not have gotten Cooper or the Clockwerk Wings back, but we'll get them eventually."

"Agreed," said the Contessa as she thanked her stars that the other Klaww Gang members managed to get away, even Rajan. "But we'll have to go back to the drawing board and figure out where Rajan might've escaped to."

"We could always let the Cooper Gang do the work for us," offered Neyla. "We know what they're after and their motives. Shouldn't be a problem to just tail them and let them do the heavy lifting for us."

"I'd rather do it the old-fashioned way," replied an unhappy Carmelita. "We don't need the Cooper Gang's help in tracking down the remaining Clockwerk parts. In fact, we need to be finding them and getting back what they've stolen."

"Don't worry about the Cooper Gang," Neyla said to Carmelita as she rolled her eyes. "I still think that letting the Cooper Gang do the work for us is the much better solution.

"Let Rajan and the Cooper Gang bash each other's heads in and we come in… at the eleventh hour to take back what was stolen," continued Neyla as she knew her powers of persuasion were working on Carmelita. "For now, let me handle tracking Cooper and his gang."

"Fine," Carmelita said as she begrudgingly relented and agreed. "But this plan of yours better work."

oooooooooooooo

The violet furred tigress caught sight of her targets in Bollywood. It was a bit confusing at first to Neyla as she had no idea why the Cooper Gang were Mumbai on the set of a Bollywood musical. But then it became clear that Murray, the pink hippo, had managed to wiggle his way on to the set of musical with help from Sly and their turtle friend, Bentley. Neyla managed to get close enough to the raccoon thief and slip a tracking device down his boot while he wasn't looking. With the tracker in place, the violet furred tigress could break off her pursuit of the Cooper Gang for a few days and head back home to New Delhi. Carmelita happened to be in New Delhi herself as she caught sight of Neyla and approached her. Neyla sighed and rolled her eyes in disbelief at the sight Inspector Fox.

"Really Carmelita?" Neyla asked her pursuer with sharp angry tone. "You just can't leave me alone for a few days?"

"You said that you were going to track down Cooper and his gang," answered Carmelita as she was upset with the violet furred tigress. "He's not here and yet here you are. Why are you here, when you should be tracking down Cooper?"

"I found him alright," answered Neyla. "I'm just giving him a 'slightly loose leash'."

"Huh?" Carmelita asked in dumbfounded tone.

"I put a tracking device on Cooper," Neyla explained to her superior as she didn't like having to spell things out for Inspector Fox. "He's currently over in Bollywood, not causing any trouble for the time being."

"Then why are you here?" demanded Carmelita as she narrowed her eyes at Neyla.

"I was born here and there's a Hindu temple I went to as a child," answered Neyla as she rolled her eyes and shook her head. "Not that it's any of your business, but I wish to return to the temple I would go to for worship and visit an old gazelle who tried to get to walk down a better path.

"Does that meet with your approval, Inspector?" Neyla challenged Carmelita Fox.

"Fine," replied Carmelita as she relented.

"Just come with me," said Neyla as she knew that Carmelita wouldn't be satisfied with just an explanation.

oooooooooooooo

"Ah, young Neyla," an old 69 year old caramel and white furred gazelle priest said to Neyla as she had entered the Hindu temple of her youth, "it is good to see you again. I see you have brought a friend with you. Are you here to seek sanctuary again?"

"Again?" asked Carmelita as the female fox raised an eyebrow.

"Not this time, you old coot," answered Neyla as she ignored the question from Carmelita. "I have come to worship since it has been at least eight years since I last worshipped here. But I also have come in need of your help with a matter that I believe requires assistance and wisdom from the gods."

"I see," replied the gazelle priest. "Well, service is about start soon. Please stay and we will deal with your problem with Shiva's guidance afterwards."

"You sure you don't need a shrink to deal with your 'problem'?" Carmelita asked Neyla in a slightly mocking tone.

"The Contessa won't let me see any other shrink than her," answered Neyla. "But you'll find out about my problem very soon."

oooooooooooooo

Five hours after parting ways with Carmelita Fox, Neyla sighed and shook her head. The violet furred tigress wondered if she did the right thing by confessing to the hot tempered and zealous Interpol fox inspector about her ties to the Klaww Gang. The revelation certainly came as a shock to Carmelita that Interpol had been infiltrated by the Klaww Gang. Neyla was at least thankful the old gazelle priest made Carmelita leave her shock pistol at the entrance, which meant she had to listen to her story.

"I better come up with a plan," Neyla said to herself, "or Carmelita is gonna turn me in without giving it a second thought."

Neyla had the evidence she gathered at Rajan's palace, but giving it to Carmelita would more likely end her career and any chance of her planned heist of stealing Sly Cooper from right underneath Carmelita's nose. The violet furred tigress knew that she had to withhold her evidence against the Klaww Gang from the zealous fox inspector if she wanted to keep her freedom for much longer. She was definitely interested in the smooth talking raccoon thief, but she also had to win over his trust and the trust of his two companions as well and withholding her evidence from Carmelita was the key.

"Give Carmelita the evidence when the time is right," Neyla said to herself. "Right before she gets carted off. As for the Cooper Gang, let the turtle escape on purpose while I try to fill Sly in on the plan."

With her plan somewhat formulated, Neyla headed back to Mumbai to get back on the Cooper Gang's trail. At first, she saw that Sly found the tracker in his boot and took it out leaving a note saying, "Nice try. Better luck next time." The violet furred tigress certainly wasn't going to give up without a fight. After getting a clue from locals, Neyla was able to track down the Cooper Gang's van as they had to leave it at their safe house across from Rajan's palace. Neyla had a sneaking suspicion that the Cooper Gang had left the Clockwerk parts they obtained at that safe house by Rajan's palace but decided against taking a peek for herself. A few local guards reported to Neyla that they saw a turtle, hippo and raccoon heading into the thick jungle, despite their warnings about how dangerous it was. Thanking the guards, Neyla continued her pursuit of the Cooper Gang, not before informing Carmelita that she had picked up on the Cooper Gang's trail, starting from Rajan's palace.

"I thought you would be a lot tougher, Mr. Drake," said a demented Bulgarian crime lord as he had the famous treasure hunter, Nathan Drake tied to a column along his recently married wife, Elena Fisher Drake and their best friend, Victor Sullivan. "You've taken down a couple of my comrades, a idiotic Panamanian general and a secret British society and this is what I had to fear?"

"Yeah well, jackass, you kinda caught me at a bad time," replied Nathan Drake as he glared at the crazed crime lord. "Didn't realize that I supposed to be on call every time a lunatic asshole like you pops up. So, uh, can we just get back to our honeymoon and forget this crap ever happened?"

The crime lord ignored Nathan's question and began chanting a spell in Latin as a hole opened up underneath the three tied up to the column. Elena couldn't catch what he was saying as she then looked to Nathan and asked, "What is he saying?"

"What, you don't remember Latin?" Drake asked his wife in an attempt to make their situation a little more comical.

"Gee, I must've left my Latin textbook, uh… I dunno, BACK IN HIGH SCHOOL!" Elena shouted at Nathan.

"Okay, okay," Nathan replied with a slight chuckle before sighing. "The abridged layman's version of what this asshole is saying is that he's making with some deal with a demon for unlimited power, offering our asses to him and he doesn't give a flying shit about going to hell to gain that power."

"Oh great, we're demon bait," grumbled Victor Sullivan, Nathan Drake's mentor before his cigar was sucked into the hole beneath them. "Damn it! That was my last Havana Cigar! Doesn't that asshole realize how much it takes just get those cigars from Cuba?!"

"I don't think he gives a rat's ass, Sully," cried Nathan before he got sucked into the vortex.

Then Elena and Victor followed suit into the black and red vortex before someone fired an RPG at the bald and overzealous Bulgarian crime lord. Being struck by the RPG, the crime lord was then grabbed by the demon he was trying to summon and had his life and soul sucked out of him.

"Bullocks!" shouted one of Nathan Drake's associates, who came to help him out. "We're too late!"

"Great," snarled another associate of Nathan Drake. "Now how are going to get them back?"

Sly Cooper: "It took some detective work, but the Gang and I managed to track down where Rajan had gone into hiding. Somehow, he managed to transform a long, forgotten temple into the thriving center of his spice operation, and it's there where we'll find him. The jungle, too thick to drive through, forced us to walk the long distance to our target. We ran into a few problems along the way but pushed on. For the temple was more than just Rajan's hideout. It was also home to the Clockwerk heart, a pump so strong and tireless it could increase spice production tenfold. Good for Rajan but awful for the rest of the world. Hope he's not counting on that heart too much because tonight, it comes home with me."

Sly Cooper and the Gang in: (Dun, dun, DUNNNN!) The Predator Awaits

Sly Cooper left the safe house that he and his gang set up, away from all guards that were roaming freely and guarding the complex. Before heading to his first objective, the raccoon thief went exploring around the complex and ended up gathering more clue bottles that were littered around the area to break into the safe… wherever it might be located. After gathering the final clue bottle, Bentley had everything he needed to decipher the safe's code, once it had been found, which would be at a later time. Once Sly had finished his exploring, the raccoon thief then proceeded to the rendezvous point to start his first assignment at the secret spice production facility. Sly then pulled up his binocucom and made contact with Bentley.

"Sneak into the temple and take some recon photos so I can assess the situation," Bentley said to Sly. "Just be careful, if you get hurt the nearest hospital is 106 miles from here. According to my map of the area, there should be a hidden passage into the temple behind that waterfall."

"Nice work, Bentley, I'll take a hidden passage over the front door any day," said Sly as he then put his binocucom away and headed inside.

Once Sly made his way inside the facility, Bentley communicated with him again. Sly pulled out his binocucom and made contact with Bentley.

"Bingo, you found the spice growing facility," Bentley informed Sly. "Now, from what I know of photosynthesis all the expensive equipment should be found at the top of this room... That access tube should get you up there."

"Alright, I'll head for the top," replied Sly.

"Some of the vines around here are really slippery," Bentley informed Sly. "Just jump on them to go for a ride."

"What, you're not gonna tell me hit a some sort of button?" Sly asked Bentley with a slight chuckle. "Like 'jump and hit the circle button'?"

"Get serious Sly," replied Bentley. "This isn't some video game."

The raccoon thief made his way up to the top and encountered his target and overall objective. The Cooper Gang's target was the same man that they robbed but a few weeks earlier of part of his share of the Clockwerk parts. Sly took a look at what he needed to look for with his binocucom. Once he he saw enough, Sly pulled out his binocucom and started taking photos.

"Here we go. Time for a few recon photos," said Bentley after Sly pulled out his binocucom.

The first photo that he took was of half of Clockwerk's heart hanging above, being held by a crane.

"Looks like half of the heart is being used to super-irrigate the spice plants," said Bentley as he analyzed the first photo that Sly took.

The next photo that Sly took was of Rajan, the tiger lord himself.

"Check it out," said Bentley as he analyzed the next photo. "Rajan's carrying half of the Clockwerk heart on that stick."

Sly's next photo was of the crane that held up the half of the Clockwerk heart that he had taken a photo of earlier.

"Hmm, that crane is keeping half of the heart suspended," said Bentley as he analyzed the third photo.

The last photo that Sly took was of an opening as Bentley then said, "There's the entrance to this level, only I can't figure out how to get in here from the temple's exterior.

"Hmm, bring those photos back to the safe house...," continued Bentley, as Sly then proceeded to make his exit before Rajan spotted him,"we'll really need to think about this one."

oooooooooooooo

As Sly Cooper made his way back to his gang's safe house, he was spotted by Neyla, who had arrived at the spice temple production facility and started to do her own exploring at first. After twenty minutes of her own exploring, the violet furred tigress decided that it would just be easier to grab a guard and squeeze the info out of him. Since she never got any info on where the illegal spice was being manufactured while she was on lone to Rajan from Arpeggio. Neyla would have Rajan arrested as per her and Carmelita's assignment from Interpol. But she would also have to arrest the Cooper Gang as Arpeggio had no need of the Cooper Gang interfering in his mission to obtain the Clockwerk parts for his own master plan. But nothing said that she couldn't throw a little monkey wrench in Arpeggio's plan, Neyla thought to herself with a pleasurable smirk on her face. She would feign loyalty to the old bird for a little longer, then double cross him and the Klaww Gang for the ringtailed man of her dreams.

"Show me where this secret entrance is, you banana munching fool," demanded Neyla as she got back to her main task at hand.

"Y-Yes ma'am," the monkey guard replied nervously as he had his torch taken from.

The monkey guard then lead Neyla to the location of the secret entrance, even though he tried to get away from her. As the monkey guard tried to punch in the code for the secret entrance, Neyla caught up to him. Right as the code for the secret entrance was punched, the guard was caught by his neck when Neyla used her whip to keep him from escaping. Seeing the entrance, the violet furred tigress saw that she had everything that she needed to help Sly and his gang with helping them acquire the Clockwerk Heart. But Neyla knew that the Cooper Gang would be doing a few jobs to start hitting Rajan where it hurt. Neyla then saw a satellite array that was being powered by an elephant being broken into many pieces. Then out of nowhere, her ears twitched as she caught the sound of gunfire. The gunfire was unfamiliar to her as she set out to investigate where the gunfire was coming from and who was doing the shooting. The gunfire certainly got the attention of a few local guards as well.

"Now who the blaze is doing the shooting?" asked Neyla as she was following a heavily armed rhino guard with sword drawn ready to attack.

"Yeah! That's right you Bulgarian assholes!" shouted an unfamiliar voice. "Return to sender! Tell your demented boss that he can go to hell!"

"Who's that?" Neyla asked as she noticed what appeared to be in her eyes a pretty hairless monkey… with an assault rifle.

"Get that fool," someone shouted from the jungle in Bulgarian. "The boss needs him for that sacrifice."

"Have a lead pill for that oversized head of yours!" exclaimed the unknown person as he fired back at his opponents, before they stopped firing and began retreating into the thick jungle. "That's right assholes! Run away to your demonic mommies!"

"We'll be back for you Drake!" shouted one of the Bulgarian soldiers in broken English as he retreated into the jungle.

Seeing that the gun battle was over, Neyla decided to break off and return to her surveillance of the Cooper Gang and their progress in acquiring the heart of Clockwerk. As she turned to return to her original task, she noticed that the person who was caught in gun battle went collected and rounds for his assault rifle and pistol.

"I just had to get thrown in a really weird world," Neyla heard the unfamiliar person say to himself. "Probably not as weird as those characters I met having to fight through just get back home.

"Huh," the unfamiliar "hairless monkey" said to himself, "I wonder if that squirrel boy and his buddies live here in this world. I really wanna have a rematch to kick his ass."

"'Squirrel boy'?" wondered Neyla as she walked away from the unfamiliar person. "What does he mean by 'squirrel boy'?"

Before fully committing to return to her surveillance of the Cooper Gang, Neyla silently approached the unfamiliar person with whip drawn and said, "Hold it right there."

The unfamiliar person then sighed and raised his hands as he snarled, "Aw crap!"

"Who are you and what did you mean by 'squirrel boy'?" demanded Neyla as she had her whip ready.

"My answer will depend on who's asking, sweetheart," replied the unfamiliar "hairless monkey" as he tried to turn around and see who had caught him.

"Fair enough," replied Neyla as she lightly jabbed her whip at his back keeping him from looking at her. "You can call me Constable Neyla of Interpol."

"Interpol huh?" asked the unfamiliar person. "Sure don't make 'em like they used to, gorgeous."

"Not sure your wife would like to hear that you're flirting with another woman, Casanova," Neyla said to the unfamiliar person as she noticed the wedding band on his right ring finger.

"Ha ha, that's cute," replied the unfamiliar person as he chuckled in amusement.

"Name… Stranger," Neyla demanded of the unfamiliar person as she jabbed her whip on his back to urge him forward and keep walking.

"Right, name's Drake," said the human as he walked towards the destination that Neyla sending him towards. "Nathan Drake. Now uh… could you tell me where the hell I am and where I'm supposed to go?"

"The safe house that was set up by the Cooper Gang," answered Neyla. "Keep moving, Mr. Drake."

"Oh goodie, I'm gonna meet up with the squirrel boy and his buddies," said Drake as he recognized the last name of his rival from another place when they battled each other over pages that went missing from the Thieveous Raccoonius.

"Why do you keep calling Sly Cooper 'squirrel boy' if you know he's a raccoon and met him before?" Neyla asked Nathan Drake.

"Look sweetie," began Drake as he once again tried to see who had captured him and was making him go towards the Cooper Gang's hideout within the temple complex, "Sly and I are just friendly rivals. Figured since I got sent here by some crazy-ass Bulgarian crime lord who wanted to sacrifice me to some demon, thought that I might as well find Cooper and challenge him to another fight. Try to kick his ass."

Neyla thought about the treasure hunter's answer for a moment and then slightly giggled before she said to him with a slight chuckle, "Oh I see. He kicked your ass and you're still sore about losing to Ringtail."

"Yeah, well… maybe I kicked his ass and am wanting to two and O on him," Nathan replied back sarcastically before Neyla jabbed her whip in his back for a third time. "Would you stop jabbing that thing in my back, British Indiana Jones?"

"Well, here's their hideout," Neyla said to Nathan Drake. "I'm sure that you'll wanna get acquainted with Cooper and his pals again. You'll see me again later."

Then the violet furred tigress threw down a smoke bomb to ensure that Drake couldn't see her face as she turned tail and ran to continue her observation of the Cooper Gang. When Neyla left, Sly made his way back to the safe house and then caught sight of his rival from the last place that they met. The raccoon thief was definitely caught off guard by the appearance of his rival from the unknown place that forced the both of them to fight in different worlds.

"Drake?" asked Sly as he saw his rival after returning from bugging Rajan's office… with an actual bug. "Is that really you?"

"Cooper?" Nathan asked in surprise as he saw Sly. "Funny seeing you here… heh, 'squirrel boy'."

"I see you haven't changed much," replied Sly. "Come up to the safe house and explain how you got here. We'll make sure to fill you in on the details of what we're doing here."

oooooooooooooo

"Fascinating," said Bentley after Nathan reunited with the Cooper Gang and brought them up to speed about how he arrived. "That sounds statistically impossible."

"But then again, there was Mz. Ruby when she was making all those ghosts in Haiti," Sly Cooper. "And the alligator was using her voodoo magic."

"So now, will you guys tell me what the hell you're doing here?" asked Nathan as he was eager to know their mission.

"We're here to steal a part," began Sly as he looked to Nathan. "A crime lord is using it to produce spices."

"Seriously guys?" a not impressed Nathan asked Sly and his friends. "You wanna stop people from getting extra flavors for their food by stealing some ridiculous part? I thought you guys were better than what you told me back in that other weird world."

"Well Mr. Drake," began Bentley, "the spice here is illegal because it makes those who consume it become very aggressive and prone to volatile outbursts of rage."

"Oh…," replied Nathan. "Well that makes perfect sense now."

"And the part we're after is from an adversary who turned himself into a soulless machine just to try and surpass my family's thieving reputation," added Sly. "My gang and I defeated Clockwerk two years ago. While we managed to defeat him, he wasn't completely destroyed."

"So you're trying to gather up the pieces of your foe to try and find a way to destroy him forever, right?" summarized Nathan.

"You got it," answered Sly as he gave Drake a slight nod. "Wanna help us out?"

"Sure, what the hell," answered Nathan as he shrugged his shoulders. "But uh… any chance you can make a silencer for my rifle and pistol? Don't wanna be shooting and drawing so much attention."

"Well, I could get something made for you to help dampen the noise from your guns," said Bentley. "But you might need to do a job for us while I get noise dampeners for your guns."

"Not a problem," Nathan said coolly. "Whaddya need me to do?"

oooooooooooooo

"As I expected, Rajan is out for his daily tour of the operation," Bentley said to Nathan over the binocucom, as the turtle genius provided Nathan with a spare binocucom. "My sources claims he always carries three blueprints on him, which when read together, tell you everything about his spice operation."

"So… I guess I'm just gonna go sneak up and pickpocket them from behind," summarized Nathan.

"Unfortunately for us, simply pickpocketing them won't work on Rajan," replied Bentley. "He'll know if you're trying to pickpocket him."

"Then how the hell am I supposed to grab these blueprints off his ass if he'll know that I'm gonna pick his pockets?" Nathan asked the turtle genius as he nervously chuckled at first.

"Rajan has an insatiable appetite for Indian watermelons, which, if eaten whole, will force even him to nod off for a while," explained Bentley. "Once he's asleep, you'll creep in and lift the blueprints."

"Next question," said Nathan. "How the hell am I gonna lure him to those watermelons? I don't think my guns are gonna send him towards the fruit."

"I've equipped my sleep darts with a sonic disruptor...," answered Bentley, "the strange sounds they make should be enough to lead the ever curious Rajan from place to place.

"I'll provide you with assistance in getting Rajan over to the watermelons," continued Bentley. "All you need to do is get in position and wait for Rajan to nod off and fall asleep."

"Nice," said Nathan with a slight grin. "A straightforward and easy plan. I like it Bentley."

Nathan Drake made his way to the first waypoint that was marked on his binocucom and radioed Bentley that he was ready and in position to lift the blueprints once Rajan nodded off. Bentley informed Nathan that he needed to take cover while he lured Rajan over to the first watermelon. Once Nathan had taken cover, Bentley then began luring the tiger spice lord over to the first watermelon, that Rajan promptly devoured before he fell asleep.

"Hurry and grab the blueprints before he wakes up," urged Bentley. "And keep it quiet."

"O-kay," replied Nathan in a hushed tone before crawling out from underneath the truck he was hiding underneath.

The treasure hunter than silently approached Rajan and grabbed the first of the three blueprints that he could grab. Once he lifted the first blueprint, Nathan quietly made it back to his initial cover underneath the truck before Rajan began to stir and wake up from his catnap. Once Rajan cleared the area, Nathan saw that another waypoint had been setup for him and made his way to it before climbing up to stay out of sight. Bentley repeated the process of luring Rajan over to the next watermelon and waited for Rajan to nod off again. Once the tiger spice lord was fast asleep, Nathan went over to Rajan and grabbed the second set of blueprints before the tiger woke up again. After a third time, Rajan woke up and came to the realization as he exclaimed, "What?! The blueprints?! They have been stolen!"

oooooooooooooo

Bentley's slide show: "I've got some bad news: Rajan has gone into hiding somewhere in the temple. I guess the destruction of his satellite array and Drake's invasion of his personal space to get the blueprints spooked him. To get his portion of the Clockwerk heart we'll need to drive him out into the open. Given Rajan's spice-addled temper, I recommend making him angry. First, we'll destroy the center of his operation, the spice grinder. Then, we'll demolish the dam above the temple in an attempt to flood him out. If that doesn't work, I've made arrangements to exchange one of the temple's facade rubies for some high explosives which, if necessary, we can use to flood the whole temple grotto. If my psychological profile is accurate, Rajan should pick up the other half of the Clockwerk heart before making his escape. Effectively, bringing it to us."

oooooooooooooo

After getting some rest from the previous night's jobs against Rajan, the Cooper Gang and Nathan felt refreshed and ready to go after Rajan again. The first one up to go against Rajan was Bentley as he commandeered an attack chopper and proceeded to destroy the dam that held back a considerable amount of water from flooding the tiger lord's spice operations. Bentley's chopper did take some damage from the other choppers that were sent out to stop it. Despite the damage sustained, Bentley was successful in destroying the dam as part of the complex was flooded. After Bentley, Nathan volunteered to take one of Sly's assignments and went on the attack against the main spice grinding facility and destroyed the spice grinder. Sly was up next with his next assignment of obtaining a façade ruby from the front of Rajan's spice temple. Murray assisted in taking the ruby over to the buyers, who would give them a Cherry Bomb 500 for the heist of the Clockwerk heart. Once all of the other jobs were completed, Sly was about to head for his objective when a familiar violet furred tigress showed up.

"Cooper, we meet again," Neyla said to Sly as she stopped him.

"Constable Neyla," said Sly with a slight grin. "Thanks for not ratting me out back at the ball."

Neyla smiled to the raccoon thief as she replied, "Oh I should be thanking you, the look on Carmelita's face was priceless."

"She took it hard, huh?" Sly asked in a slightly concerned tone.

"No one likes to have their affections played with," answered Neyla as she wanted so badly to tell the handsome gray furred raccoon thief how she felt about him, now that the hypnosis had completely worn off and she wasn't influenced by the spirit of the infamous owl, Clockwerk.

"I know I certainly don't," replied Sly. "Look, Neyla, as soon as this India job is over why don't you and I go out on the town? We'll dance through Bollywood and eat curry all night long."

Neyla was certainly taken aback by Sly's offer. But the violet furred tigress thought that Sly could do better than suggest eating curry, just because she was Indian. Though she did give the raccoon some points for creativity in suggesting some dancing as she wanted to do dancing with Sly again after dancing with him at Rajan's ball. Despite wanting to make alterations to his suggestion, Neyla knew that the two had to put that thought on the back burner for the time being.

"I'll keep it in mind... but first the task at hand," replied Neyla. "I've learned of a secret entrance leading to half of the Clockwerk heart. Legally I can't enter the premises without a warrant, but now a thief like you..."

Sly read Neyla's mind as he smiled and finished, "A thief like me can go wherever he pleases. I read you."

"Don't fall behind while I lead you to the entrance," instructed Neyla. "This place is thick with guards and standing still can be lethal."

"I hear that, Sister," said Sly before he chased after the violet furred tigress officer of Interpol.

Neyla lead Sly on a chase through Rajan's spice temple complex. It was lovely for Sly to chase her, Neyla thought to herself before using her whip to take out a gazelle guard before he could call in for reinforcements from other guards. 'This certainly feels like a delightful game of tag,' Neyla thought to herself before taking out another two guards. After leaping across lily pads, the violet furred tigress made it to their final destination with Sly just a few meters behind her.

"This is it," said Neyla as she gestured to the secret entrance. "And remember, if push comes to shove I never showed you this door... and..."

"And?" asked Sly as he raised an eyebrow.

"And we're on for that date in Bollywood," answered Neyla… right before she instinctively kissed the raccoon thief on the lips before throwing smoke bomb to make herself disappear.

'Wow,' thought Sly, as the raccoon thief was definitely unprepared for Neyla to make such a bold move. 'She must really like me.'

Sly then made his way into the facility and saw his objective. Still dangling was the one half of Clockwerk's heart from Sly's recon photos. Sly then pulled out his binocucom to make contact with Bentley. Much to his surprise, it wasn't Bentley that he was in contact with, but Nathan Drake.

"There it is…," Sly said to Drake, "just like Neyla said."

"Damn," replied Nathan as he saw the half of the Clockwerk heart dangling above the ground. "Never thought I'd live to see someone's organs being dangled from the ceiling.

Sly remained silent for a couple minutes as his mind wandered back to the kiss he got from a certain violet furred tigress and Drake then asked, "Hey, you okay over there squirrel boy?"

"Huh?" asked Sly as he snapped out of his daze and came back to reality. "Oh yeah. I'm fine."

"You sure, Casanova?" asked Nathan as he had a sly grin on his face. "You know I saw that kiss from that tigress chick. You lucky dog, you."

"I'm positive that I'm good, Drake," answered Sly as he got back into his serious look.

"Anyway, Bentley said that a couple guards have the keys to unlock the crane so you can lower that heart down to you," Nathan reported to Sly.

"Oh, I'm sure these guards won't mind if I 'borrow' their keys," Sly replied coolly before he put his binocucom away.

Sly went to work getting the keys needed to unlock the crane and lower half of the Clockwerk heart down for the raccoon thief. With the guards out of the picture, Sly picked up the half of Clockwerk's heart and then proceeded to exit the facility as Bentley informed Sly that the illegal spice would no longer be growing anytime soon. As Sly exited the facility, Neyla came back to check up on the raccoon thief.

"You get it, Sly?" Neyla asked Sly Cooper.

"Yup," answered Sly as he showed Neyla the half of Clockwerk's heart that he acquired. "All thanks to you, gorgeous tigress."

Neyla then let out a sigh as she was going to have to divulge something important. If she wanted Sly Cooper as her lover and mate, the violet furred tigress knew that she was going to have reveal something to him and be honest about it. Part of her wanted to keep it a secret until the opportune time. But seeing as how the Cooper Gang were about to make their final move on Rajan, Neyla had no choice but to come clean. Even if it meant that Sly would hate her for it.

"Sly, we need to talk," said Neyla as she grabbed Sly's right arm. "It concerns you and your gang."

"Alright," replied Sly before activating his ear piece. "Hey guys, I'll be back at the safe house in a bit. Neyla's got something she needs to tell me. Shouldn't take me long."

"No problem Sly," said Nathan Drake. "Just don't try to get your groove on with her. Wait until we get the hell outta here."

"Wasn't planning on that, Drake," replied Sly as he rolled his eyes. "But I'll keep that in mind."

Neyla led Sly to an area that was out of the reach of most of Rajan's guards, near the pool that Sly found the bug used to bug Rajan's office. The tilting structure was the perfect for a private conversation between Neyla and the raccoon thief that she wanted to steal from underneath Carmelita's nose. After clearing out the only guard up there, Neyla let out a sigh of relief and looked to Sly as she said, "I'm sorry for having to bring you up here."

"It's not a problem," replied Sly as he looked to the beautiful and seductive tigress. "So what is it that you wanted to talk to me about?"

"It's about what happens after you defeat Rajan and take the other half of the Clockwerk heart," answered Neyla as the violet furred tigress looked to Sly.

Sly looked confused at first until Neyla began, "The Klaww Gang has their mitts within Interpol and are looking to end your campaign to acquire the remains of Clockwerk."

"I'm not sure that I follow," said a confused Sly as he looked to Neyla.

"Sly, I'm supposed to betray you and ensure you're locked up for good," confessed Neyla as she maintained eye contact with him. "I'm one of the two leaks within Interpol working for the Klaww Gang. The other Klaww Gang member in Interpol is going to show up once Rajan is defeated and you're not in a position to escape."

Neyla divulged everything that she knew about the Klaww Gang's intentions. Sly asked how she knew their plans. Neyla explained to him that had she been blackmailed into joining the Klaww Gang by Arpeggio, hypnotized and felt something else trying to corrupt her. Neyla also said that she wanted to help him defeat the Klaww Gang and destroy Clockwerk for good… right before the tigress kissed him again for good measure.

"I'm on my own lil' heist Sly Cooper," Neyla said to the raccoon thief with a smirk on her face.

"Oh really?" asked Sly after recovering from that second kiss. "What are you trying to steal, sexy tigress?"

"You," answered Neyla as she enjoyed hearing Sly calling her a 'sexy tigress.' "I want to steal you and your heart from right underneath Carmelita's nose. Best thing about that, it's a crime I won't get arrested for."

"Well, you seem to be doing a great job," replied Sly as he smiled at first. "But I assume with everything you told me, you want me not to tell the others, correct?"

"Yes," Neyla answered Sly softly. "Right now only you and Carmelita know the truth about me. I've got the evidence ready to give Carmelita and I'm going to make sure that she escapes 'arrest'.

"You and one of your other compatriots will have to be arrested," continued Neyla, much to Sly's uneasiness. "I promise, I'll break you out. Even if I have to do it myself. Once you've escaped, work to shut down the Contessa's prison. I've got plenty of evidence on that prison to get it shut down and the Contessa terminated from Interpol."

As Neyla was speaking to Sly Cooper, the violet furred tigress was unaware that a small spider drone had been dispatched to check in on her. The spider drone for the most part was left alone and ignored by Rajan's guards. Taking the better part of an hour, the purple spider drone found its target, while maintaining distance from Neyla. The small spy sent by the Contessa noticed that Neyla was sharing a deep kiss with Sly Cooper. Once it completed its objective, it returned to it mistress to report in.

Bentley: "Partial flooding didn't work, so it's time to go the distance. Blowing up the temple's elephant mouth should turn this grotto into a swimming pool. I'll cover Murray from the chopper's gun turret while he pries the mouth open. Once that's done, Sly will need to walk the Cherry Bomb 500 into the throat, then get to high ground as fast as you can. Drake, I've completed the noise dampeners for your guns that you've requested. We'll need you to provide cover fire for us as some unusual characters have spotted prowling around the area. It could be that they're the Bulgarian crime lord's soldiers that are still after you and your friends."

Nathan: "Son of a bitch! Those guys don't give up."

Bentley: "Rajan is sure to show up and be extra angry. Sly and Murray, jump him, snag his half of the Clockwerk heart and we're out of here."

oooooooooooooo

The Cooper Gang and their latest addition to their team got into position for the final move against Rajan to swipe his half of the Clockwerk heart. Drake scoured the temple complex grounds for the Bulgarian crime lord's soldiers that were still hunting him down. As for Bentley, he went over to the tower where he crashed the autopilot chopper so that he could cover Murray while he pried open the elephant's throat for Sly. As for the raccoon master thief, he got himself into position where the Cherry Bomb 500 was left by a crime boss in exchange for the façade ruby that he and his pals stole. Even though he was in position and ready Sly's mind was on the violet furred tigress who kissed him not once or twice, but three times. He was still trying to process everything that Neyla had told him. Her confession of being a secret member of the Klaww Gang and her wanting to help him destroy Clockwerk for good. There had to be more to Neyla than what she told him. But first, he would have to do something that he had always avoided throughout his career… get arrested by crooked cops. Just the thought of being arrested sent shivers down his spine, after he briefed Murray on his objective and then started watching as seeker bombs were being dropped to stop the pink hippo from completing his objective.

"I just hope that Neyla knows what's she doing," Sly said to himself as he noticed the flashes that came from Bentley's position as the turtle worked to pick off all of the seeker bombs that were being dropped. "I'm really gonna have to put my trust in her."

Once the seeker bombs had eliminated and the elephant statue's throat was opened, Sly was signaled to make his approach to the throat and deposit the Cherry Bomb 500. As the raccoon master thief jumped into the explosive barrel, Nathan radioed in and said, "All clear for now. No crazy Bulgarian assholes. I am in a position where I can cover you, Cooper. Make your way to the throat and I'll snipe any guards in your path."

"Gotcha," acknowledged Sly as he began to make his approach to his destination.

As Sly made his way to the elephant statue's throat, he did have to stop a few times when two monkey guards and a gazelle guard were conducting their rounds around the complex. Thankfully, Nathan sniped them with his silenced GMAL assault rifle to allow the master raccoon thief to proceed. When Sly made his way to the throat, Nathan then heard gunfire and noticed that some of Rajan's guards were moving away from complex as one of the monkey guards mentioned that some Bulgarian-speaking hairless apes were trying to assault the complex. Nathan then sighed as he decided to engage the Bulgarian hairless apes and let Cooper and his gang handle the rest.

With Cherry Bomb 500 in place, Sly and Murray beat a hasty retreat to higher ground as the explosion would definitely lead to the temple complex being flooded and enrage the tiger spice lord. With the temple complex completely flooded, Rajan came out as it was the final straw and the gloves were coming off as he wasn't going to take this destruction lying down.

"Black Clouds and Thunderbolts!" exclaimed an enraged Rajan. "My spice temple... ruined! I will no longer hide while you villains destroy my hard-won empire.

"This place is mine...," snarled Rajan with a fierce growl, "here I am King! Come, face me, Cooper. With Clockwerk's black heart, I will show you true power. You are nothing. Come, face the might of Rajan, lord of these hills."

"Boy, when we try to tick someone off, we really do the job," Sly Cooper said with an amused tone as Neyla came at the nick of time as per the plan she mentioned.

"Yes...," said Neyla with a smirk on her face, "you do seem to have quite a talent for it, handsome raccoon."

"Hey gorgeous tigress, slumming it with the thieves again?" Sly asked Neyla as he was flirting with her.

"Uh Sly," interjected Murray, "now's not the time to be flirting while while that tiger's got the other half of the Clockwerk heart."

"Your partner is right," agreed Neyla as she had a lite red blush across her face. "That man is an illegal spice trader... he should be brought to justice."

"All I'm after is the Clockwerk part...," said Sly. "You help me take him down and the bust is all yours."

"Just try to keep up," Neyla said to Sly as she had to maintain her cover of being ready to stab the Cooper Gang in the back. 'I'm sorry Sly. If there was another way I could help without raising red flags with Arpeggio, I would gladly do it.'

The violet furred tigress then made her way towards Rajan dodging the lightning bolts that he summoned to use against Sly. Sly followed suit, also dodging Rajan's summoned lightning bolts and making his way towards Neyla.

"Neyla, now," Sly said to the violet furred tigress… even though he knew her "betrayal" was coming because she told him.

"Sorry," replied Neyla, as she gave him a wink to follow her lead.

Then Rajan was able to land a blow on Sly as he fell into the now drained pool of water. Rajan went down into the nearly drained pool, with Murray following in hot pursuit. The tiger spice lord looked to an unconscious Sly and a rearing to go Murray and taunted them. He said that he came to the realization that the Cooper Gang wasn't something for him to fear.

"'The Murray' will renew your fear," the pink hippo replied to Rajan in response of his taunt at the Cooper Gang.

"Who's 'The Murray'?" challenged Rajan as he narrowed his eyes at Murray. "All I see is a fat, pathetic weakling."

Being called a weakling was the last straw for Murray as the pink hippo did acknowledge he wasn't as smart or big like Sly and Bentley. But for the pink hippo, he had certainly come a long way since the Cooper Gang defeated Clockwerk two years ago. Murray then charged at Rajan to began the dance of battle between him and Rajan. Both combatants were equally strong as guards, who hadn't left to fight other invaders or hadn't drown in the flooding, were watching the dance between their lord and the Murray. Even with bruises and a few light electrical burns sustained from the fight, Murray was victorious as he grabbed the other half of Clockwerk's heart. Seeing that the battle was over, Neyla sighed as she went to play her part in "capturing" the Cooper Gang.

Shortly after the battle was over, the Contessa arrived on scene with Carmelita Fox to see that Neyla had accomplished her mission. The spider prison warden looked at the violet furred tigress as she had been informed that Neyla was no longer on the side of the Klaww Gang by one of her spider drones. As much as the Contessa wanted to take action, she was told to let the traitorous tigress play her little game by Arpeggio. Once Sly and Murray had been fished out by the Contessa's guards and even Carmelita had been arrested, much to Bentley's horror, the spider warden had to go investigate the sounds of a gun battle that had flared up nearby. Taking the bulk of her guards with her, the Contessa left only one guard to watch and ensure that Sly, Murray and Carmelita did not escape. With the one guard there Neyla took him out, slipped her evidence folder into Carmelita's pants and assisted her in escaping restraints. Carmelita then went on the attack on Neyla, as per the violet furred tigress's plan. After she had sustained enough of a beat down from Inspector Fox, Neyla made sure that Sly and Murray were still restrained as she couldn't let them escape too. The Contessa arrived to see that her single guard was dead and that Carmelita had escaped. The female spider warden was displeased with Neyla for allowing Carmelita to escape, but it wasn't the BIG mistake that she needed to look for.

Given the recent development of Neyla having romantic feelings for Sly Cooper, the Contessa figured the big mistake from the violet furred tigress would come in the form of a rescue attempt to spring the raccoon thief out of her prison.

'By all means, Neyla,' the Contessa thought to herself with a wicked smirk on her face, 'when Cooper is locked up at my prison in Prague, feel free to try and break your precious Cooper out. You will not be successful.'

As for Neyla, she looked to see if the Cooper Gang's genius, Bentley had watched her and looked for more subtle hiding places that the turtle genius could hide. Sadly for Neyla, Bentley was already gone and with the gunfire battle no more, she feared that Bentley would come to the conclusion that betrayed them. For the time being, her only task was to figure out her next move to rescue Sly Cooper from the Contessa. Plus there was the matter of wither or not Carmelita Fox would do the right thing and help bring down the Contessa for her corruption and secret status as a member of the Klaww Gang. Neyla prayed to Shiva that everything would go according to plan and that Sly would forgive her to having to be a prisoner at the hands of a corrupt Interpol officer.

Bentley (The Escape):

"Though statistically improbable, I had to face the facts: Neyla had betrayed us, my teammates were captured, and I was all alone until Sly's friendly rival Drake showed up. While intellectually inferior, Sly and Murray had always been a rich source of sociological interest. The long walk out of the jungle gave me time to reflect, and with each passing step, my sense of isolation grew. Shockingly, my comrades' absence had a profound emotional effect on me. This was going to be it. This was the true test of friendship. Upon Drake and I reaching the van, my resolve was hardened. I had to save my friends... but first things first (gulp), I had to learn how to drive a stick shift."
