I do not own Encanto.

Enjoy!

What is this?

She tried to draw but she couldn't materialise paper and pen for the life of her.

What is this?

She tried and failed, again and again before getting an idea and drawing her idea in the mud.

What she draw, materialised.

It worked?!

You have got to be kidding me!

She had to draw like this!?

What happens if natural elements destroy her drawing would her creation dissappear too?

Wait.

What about carving?

Did she have to carve the drawings to preserve it?

A method, you can't just start over again, if you make a mistake?

You have got to be kidding!

Well, she agreed to take this job.

It was too late now.

It looks like Pedro will have to stay in that village for a while.

Also, what was her village called and how would it stick out from Enchanto?

#Enchanto#

The village decided to to call him Diaz and he was put in charge of making sure Pests doesn't get into the village crops.

He would be paid so he was okay with this.

However, as soon as he started doing the work, he knew that this was something he would never do for the rest of his life.

His hands stung from moving the crops out of the way.

The liquid was getting everywhere on his feet.

And the rats he uncovered made him nervious.

There was nothing to protect him and this work was long and hard.

Just one diseased rat bite was all it took for him to suddenly find himself in the afterlife.

It would be worse if he got his memories back when he was dead and he truly had no way to return home.

Why was he put on this kind of job?

Shouldn't there be safer more safer jobs in the village that somebody as inexperienced as him can do?

Why was he here?

He suddenly got a terrorfying thought.

What if they were trying to kill the outsider or make him sick enough so that he couldn't leave?

It was a terrorfying thought, but can he really believe the head of the Village own words?

We're they really helping him out of the goodness of their own hearts or did they have ulterior motives?

He didn't know any of these people.

For all he knew, these people could be secretly planning to fatten him up so that they can cook and eat him.

That could be the reason why they were all staring, they were looking at fresh meat.

He popped his head up and looked at the hills and forests.

He wondered if he can make a break for it?

Would he be able to survive in the forest?

How well did these people know their surroundings?

If he wondered around, would he stumble upon a familiar path?

Would he make it back to where he belonged?

And that's when he noticed the strange dark cloud over him, but oddly enough it didn't effect the rest of the area, just him.

He followed it to a ginger haired women in a yellow dress who looked like she hadn't slept for days.

When they made eyecontact, he heard thunder and then rain came down on both of their heads.

Witchcraft?

But for some reason he didn't think this woman would curse him or poison him.

He studied her.

So familiar.

He didn't notice a short black man, come up for support.

He subcontinuous said to the woman. "Do I know you?"

And the women eyes got wide.

Thats when the shorter man stepped in and said. "Hi, my name is Felix Madrigal and this is my lovely wife Pepa. We heard that you were joining us today and my wife was just so excited, she ran off"

And the woman just continued to look at him, not saying a word.

He slowly turned his eyes to the cloud above him.

The man saw this and said. "My wife is a special one. And this specialness makes her the best plant garden in the world. You should see her in action. Boom! Its like lightening."

And he blinked.

What?

And he was amused by this man.

Felix said to his wife. "Come along now, sweetie. You shouldn't drown our newest co-worker"

And hearing this, he looked down to see his saddles deep in now what mud.

He was indeed, drowning.

The woman hurrigly said her apologies before leaving with her husband.

Pepa and Felix Madrigal, huh. He thought.

Madrigal...

The same last name as the village head.

We're they related to the head of the Village?

Can't be.

The last name must be common here.

He continued to work while praying that he doesn't kick the bucket and kept noticing Pepa, popping up and staring.

The women had the hidding skills of a gaint stone statue.

He was amused.

Well, as long as she didn't cast any spell on him, he supposed he was fine with her.

He didn't want to die under these circumstances.

He continued his work and hours later, Felix came to tell him it was break time.

Felix said. "You should come with me and my wife to my sister-in-law shop. Shes the best baker in the whole Village. One bite and you could swear you've died and gone to heaven"

And hearing this, instead of feeling encouraged and wanting to try, his mind immediantly went to the possibility of being poisoned.

He didn't know if this man was really this charming after all.

He said. "Sorry, but I have to decline. I made my own food this morning and I really don't want to eat it, completely cold. Maybe, some other time?"

He noticed Pepa.

Why does this women keep staring?

Felix said. "That's alright. Truly some other time." then the man said. "Come along, my angel. We got food to consume."

The man draged the women away.

He ate his food in silence, while hearing everybody laughing and having a good time from a far.

It must be nice being that close with your fellow village man.

And then he noticed it.

He noticed three things.

Three children had walked up to him and was currently staring at him.

It instantly became akward.

He said. "...Hello?"

A little girl said. "So is your gift granting other people gifts?"

And his face changed as he said. "Im sorry what?"

A boy said. "You know, a gift. Every Madrigal but Mirable has one"

And he said. "Well, sorry to burst your bubble, Kids. But I am not a Madrigal"

And the three kids looked at him funny, before each other.

The girl said, not knowing that she was loud enough for him to hear. "Boy, death really did a number on him"

His face changed.

The boy next to her said. "He looks just like that too"

What in gods name?

And then an adult came and the kids scampered off.

He filed the weird interactions as kids being kids and shoved it to the back of his mind and resumed working.

After work, Felix tried to invite him to the evening party, but he said he didn't really feel comfortable.

The village people were still staring at him and he wasn't comfortable enough with Felix and his wife to brave that for them.

So he wished them well at the party and went home.

The party that took place, several hours later was loud.

So loud in fact, he worried that he wouldn't be able to fall as-

"Sleep"

And he fell asleep.

One good thing about being a ghost?

Doloras Madrigal can't hear you.

Kate intended to put him to sleep over and over again because as her civilan, he shouldnt be forced to venture out to get some sleep.

He might end up on the Madrigal doorstep.

And as much as she would love to see him move in just to get a proper night sleep, what if Antonio was passed out and the boys affect on animals lessened and suddenly there was a baby tiger on the loose?

Or that, the nowly free to experiment Isabella, might, produce a plant that Pedro was deathly allergetic too?

The house can only protect so much.

So he will remain here.

And if she wasn't careful, the power she had over him, might go to head and she might even thinking she was the real god of this world.

She decided to give her civilan a dream about boarding a train.

In this world and time, such a thing was defiantly a marvelously experience.

She smiled as she saw him smile in his sleep.

She wondered if he thought this was a memory, it was indeed very detailed and he was probably the most comfortable, since he breathed his first breath again.

The next morning, the man's attitude was defiantly higher.

However, people thought that it was because he attended the party last night when in truth, if he heard a certain sound, he would ditch them and run like a mad man towards it.

He was convinced that following that sound would get him home.

So he kept his ears sharp all day and pointing them to the mountains and forest.

He was so focused that he almost didn't catch, the proposition.

He said. "What?"

Pepa said. "I was wondering if you could come to my brother Bruno, rat stories tonight?"

And he looked at her in shock.

Did he just hear the words 'Rat stories', come out of her mouth!?

They must have seen his horror and Felix said, quickly. "Don't worry. If the rats come near you, I will be your tiger"

What?

He was amused.

Pepa said. "My brother has gone through a lot lately and he's trying to become an actor. It would mean a lot to him, if somebody other then family was there"

Silence.

He said."Alright. I'll think about it"

That was as good as it would get.

They couldn't force him and they know it.

They had tried and went back to their stations.

Well, he did think about it.

After all, the name 'Rat stories' was bound to stick around in somebody head.

But was he willing to put himself in that kind of danger?

And then he realised, he already worked with rats anyway so what's the big deal?

At the end of the work day, he told Pepa and Felix and both of them were shocked and delighted to see him join them.

The sky was clear for him while Felix was trying to talk up his brother-in-law like he was a entity.

He was liking this guy even more.

They continued walking and came to a clearing with a puppet box and chairs.

There were people in those chairs and was that a lion on the floor!?

And before he knew it, it was too late for him.

He was sat down and a bunch of familiar faced people clocked him.

He saw the village head.

Was this her family?

Damn.

Did he crash her event?

He wanted to run but the way the tiger was looking at him...

He didn't think he would get very far.

And then he heard a squeak sound and saw a short man in all green, stopping in midfreak out at the sight of him.

Again, the man had a 'I've clearly not being sleeping look' that his sister had going on.

What was with this village?

Where were two depressed looking siblings here when there seemed to be a party every day?

He waved at the man, trying to be friendly.

But the man's behaviour got worse.

Pepa left her seat and walked to the shorter man and pulled him behind the stage.

He could faintly hear hush wispers and the two poked their head out from time to time to look at him.

It was actually kind of cute.

Do your best. He thought.

And then he continued noticing how everybody was staring at him.

Don't these people have lives?

Pepa came back and sat down and Felix made the cloud over her head go away.

The play began and as soon as he saw the clothed rats, he unconciously, leaned back and turned his legs so he can run fast.

The man then made several mistakes due to nervousness but he stuck around and he was soon glad he did.

When the man got comfortable, he was really good at telling a story.

He even forgot that half the audience hadn't stopped staring.

The man gave him a specular ending and when it was over, he clapped and whistled for him.

When the man came out, the man tried not to look embrassingly happy at his praise.

Everybody was all smiles though.

Pepa and who he later learned was another sister, introduced the man to him and he said. "I got to admit, when Pepa told me about you. I wasn't so sure but I'm glad I came. You got some serious talent"

And the man said. "R-Really?"

He said. "I'm sure and I will be more then happy to attend your public rat stories from now on. I'll be cheering for you"

And the man gave a cute small smile.

He then said. "When I get home, I'll defiantly tell people about you"

And just like that, the smile vanished and he burst out laughing.

He said. "Abula, must be your mom. You look just like her right now"

And the trio face changed.

He said. "Can you believe some kids told me, I look like a member of your family? Funny, huh?"

And everybody opened their mouths.

He said. "Well, see you around"

And then he left, remembering where he came from and praying he doesn't get lost.

When he left, more then half of them yelled.

"Oh, come on!"

Doloras Madrigal said. "Should I clunk him on the head?"

And everybody turned to look at her in shock.

Doloras said. "What? What that man's got, is called denial. And from the looks of it, he's got it pretty bad. Do you have any other way to set him straight?"

And they were all quiet.

They didn't but they will try.

But how do you bring back a 50 year old version of past self?
