A.N Just revitalizing my work people after I reviewed for a while I decided to make a revamped version with a few new things to go along.

3rd P.O.V

Sonya Blade: "Base, come in, this is Lieutenant Blade, requesting you track my location over."

SF Command:"Triangulating your signal for evac lieutenant, but..." soon the radio was getting disoriented. "...There is no island."

Sonya Blade: "What do you mean? I'm standing on it! Just lock onto my wrist comm, for Christ sake!" Sonya said in a frustrated tone.

While trying to contact base, the egotistical actor Johnny Cage soon walked onto the bridge and smiled at her. Soon, Sonya was finally able for command to get her location.

SF Command: "Understood. Lieutenant what is your current status ?"

Sonya Blade: "They've got Jax. And if I don't fight fight in this crazy-ass "tournament", they'll kill him. I'm gonna try to-"

Before Sonya could continue she was approached by the actor.

Johnny Cage: "Need help? I specialise in rescuing damsels in distress."

Sonya Blade: "You again. Listen, I've got serious problems here. I'm in no mood to be hit on by some movie star."

Johnny Cage: "C'mon. A girl like you shouldn't be wandering around this freak show alone."

Sonya attempted to turn to and walk, but was stopped by Cage grabbing her arm.

Johnny Cage: "Look, baby, I can't let you run loose without an escort."

His excuse was barely effective, even for Sonya, in which she threw a hard two hit combo to the gut, then face knocking him to the ground fiercely.

Sonya Blade: "I don't need an escort, and I'm sure as hell not your baby!" Sonya stated entering a fighting stance.

The two then fought with focus and determination against each other, with Cage thinking it'll be an easy score, but is wrong.

Johnny Cage: "Woah! You're good at this." Cage complimented, only for him to receive more swift punches and kicks.

Sonya Blade was to woman to fuck with...in anyone's opinion. She's a tough as nail, Special Forces lieutenant that is dedicated to get her job done. Johnny Cage was still thinking of it as still an easy task seeing in that he's a cocky movie star, but a hell of a great martial artists expert that "Needs no special effects or stunts person." In the end Cage won the fight against the soldier.

Johnny Cage: "Ha ha! Not bad for a... girl." Johnny complimented, but soon felt a wave of being regretful. "Look, I'm sorry about that."

He soon held out a helping hand to help her to feet, only for the stubborn woman to bat it away.

Sonya Blade: "I don't need your help."

Johnny Cage: "Fine. Have it your way. I'll just leave you to your... problems."

Kano: "Good idea."

Before, Cage could have the chance to turn around to face the voice, he was thrown off of the bridge, by the dangerous, and treacherous Black Dragons leader, Kano.

Kano: "Now that he's softened you up, it's my turn!"

Ryan's P.O.V

After, I met that Raidan guy, I soon walked off from everyone else, and ventured out into the island to see where I really was. "Okay, so this is a tropical island, but not one I've ever seen, especially not like this." I thought to myself, only to hear a pained scream in the distance. I ran to the source of the sound, to see the woman from the tournament earlier today. She was on the ground in pain.

Kano: "So tell me,how are things at Command?" Kano tauntingly asked, only to piss of Sonya.

Sonya Blade: "Go to hell, you bastard!"

With that I saw him shot some sort of laser beam at her, causing her to scream in more pain.

Kano: "Guillible bitch. Just had to get you in the wrong place, and time. Couldn't have done it without you!"

Sonya still strong with pride, and determination let out another shout against the Aussie.

Sonya Blade: "S.F's coming this way. You want get away with this, you son of a bitch."

Kano: "Ohhhh, feisty. Don't worry baby, I've a thing for survival. But, you though are done here."

I soon saw him pull out a large knife, and intended to ruthlessly end here on the spot, so with that I mustered up all of my courage, and soon ran at full sprint towards him, before whistling sharply getting him to turn around, and finally drop kicking to the ground.

Kano: "Arrh! Now where the hell did you come from?!" Kano asked with a sharp accent in his voice.

Once, I got a full look from him I was surprised at who I just attacked. He was a burly, pissed off Australian man, but the number feature that stood out was one of his eyes. It was a laser eye. Like one of those that cyborgs have in the shitty sci-fi movies. But, none of that stopped me from standing my ground against him.

Ryan: "Back off from her, you asshole."

With that being said, he then fully saw who I was, and a filthy ass smile creeped onto his face.

Kano: "Well I'll be, you're that bugger from the tournament earlier. I gotta say mate, you got skill, and skills like those are need for the Black Dragons."

Now personally, I've never had much people compliment me for my skills, and especially not from guys like this, but when it come to proposals into joining others like him, that's where I draw the line.

Ryan: "Thanks, but I don't do business with crazy bastards like you, now get the hell out of here." I openly said to him, but it did nothing.

Kano: "Too bad, and I was hoping we'd do business." He said before pulling out another knife, and entering a stance.

Ryan: "Bad idea." I said darkly before unsheathed my Bowie, and entered a stance of my own.

We fought swiftly and lethally, dodging and parrying each other's attack. In a quick moment, his eye began to glow brightly, and quick flash erupted from it. With, sharp reflexes I dodge the flash and watched it hit the ground.

"Again, with projectiles. After, I just fought some fucked up reptile motherfucker, who spat goddamn acid at me." I complained in my thoughts. In a quick instance, the Australian, hit a quick slash combo that with one slash nearly slit my throat, and me narrowly parrying the attacks, before hitting him with a hard right jab to the face.

Kano: "Ah! Even better up close! I expected more from you, mate. Joining me would've gotten you money!" Kano harshly stated.

Ryan: "I don't want your goddamn money." I said from gritted teeth, in a agitated manner.

Kano: "Have it your way then."

He again attempted another wild slash combo, that with one slice got me on the arm, but I managed to get through narrowly again, before stabbing him in one of his shoulders.

Kano: "You'll have to do better than that if you want dead lad. But, don't worry you won't be doing it again when I'm done with you." He said in dark tone.

Ryan: "Then what's holding you back? -Says in Australian accent- Let's finish this, mate." I said in mocking tone, ready to end the motherfucker.

We ran towards each other slashing, and striking in violent manners, when all of a sudden his eye glowed once more, narrowly coming close to my face messing with my vision, before he knocked me to ground, ready to kill me right there.

Kano: "Lights out lad!"

Before, he could send the finishing blow, I saw a lightning fast flash hit the maniac square in the face knocking him to the floor, and rendering him unconscious. When I looked up to see who it was, it was the cocky movie star Johnny Cage standing over the thug, and saving me from near death.

Johnny Cage: " Ha! Now why don't you throw that on your... barby... Shrimp... I don't know just stay down" Cage said while managing to come up with a taunt. He soon saw me on the ground, and lended me a helping hand up.

Ryan: " Thanks for that."

Johnny Cage: "Anytime, couldn't have guys like this going around."

After, that I went towards the woman on the ground, helping her to her feet.

Ryan: "Easy now. You alright?"

Sonya Blade: "Yeah I can manage, and thanks by the way for kicking his ass for me." She thanked me.

Johnny Cage: "Hey uh, just who was that guy?"

Sonya Blade: "His name's Kano. The bastard was an informant in our Black Dragon investigation operation. Big-time arms dealers. Turns out he was their leader and giving us the slip around . Lot of good people died because of him."

"So I just a guy who I figured was a thug, but was actually the leader of a dangerous arms-dealing clan? This day just keeps getting better."

Johnny Cage: "So wait, that's no costume? You're actually military." Cage curiously asked.

Ryan & Sonya: "Special Forces." When it was said Sonya look at me with a look of curiosity on her face.

Sonya Blade: "How'd you know? You've been in service?"

Ryan: "No, just a lucky guess."

Johnny Cage: "Get out! So you know all about this "threat to the world" stuff, right? Man, Raiden called in the cavalry on this."

Sonya Blade: "Raiden? No idea who you're talking about."

But, as soon as they all turned around, Kano was already gone

Ryan: "Shit." I said in a frustrated tone.

Sonya Blade: "Damn it." She said in a agitated tone.

Johnny Cage: "Well he couldn't have gotten far."

Ryan: "Especially not after what I did to him, he couldn't have." I uttered while looking around.

Sonya Blade: "Well he'll have to wait, I'm Sonya Blade, by the way." She said while holding her hand out.

Ryan: "Ryan Bishop. But, preferably it's Red Wraith. Just to keep my name a secret, but since we've introduced ourselves, it's not much of a secret anymore." I stated, while shaking the woman's hand.

Sonya Blade: "Well I appreciate the assistance Wraith, but I'm on a mission. My C.O's held somewhere on the island, and I need to find him.

Ryan: "We'll for that you might assistance of your own, cause I got that this island might be more of a death trap." I stated to her. She soon nodded, and the both of us then ventured off deeper into the island.

3rd P.O.V

The pair soon entered a cavern, which was actually a torment lair for prisoners. All around they saw decaying bodies hung from meat hooks, until behind iron cell bars, they found Sonya's C.O, Jaxson Briggs. In a quick moment Sonya swiftly approached her imprisoned comrade.

Sonya: "Jax? Jax! Oh my god why did they do to you?" Sonya worriedly asked.

Jax: "Run, girl, run." Were the words that he could manage to speak.

Behind, the two Shang Tsung soon approached with two of the tournament guards by his side.

Shang Tsung: "Miss Blade! I can see that you do not disappoint. I have been expecting you for some time."

Ryan: "Let them go. They're not even apart of any of this." Ryan said bravely to the sorcerer.

Shang Tsung: "Mr. Bishop, still assisting others. Why I wonder." Shang Tsung uttered. Ryan on the other hand wasn't backing off until he got Sonya and Jax off the island.

Ryan: "I said let them out of this, goddamn it. They're not apart of this shit." Ryan frustratingly ordered.

Shang Tsung: "On the contrary, they both are, especially you, Mr. Bishop." He soon turned his gaze towards Sonya as well. "You both will now face Sub-Zero, of the Lin Kuei clan of assassins."

With that, a cool soon swept across the lair, before constructing into the form of a man in front of Us.

Sub-Zero: "You shall feel death's cold embrace." He darkly said before entering a stance, and finally went against the both of us.

Both the hardcore soldier, and the skillful vigilante fought the clan assassin, swiftly in their fight of two against one. Sub-Zero is ninja of deadly nature when it comes to the cold, is not be underestimated in terms of combat. Sonya, focused on using her wrist gauntlets, while Ryan used his fast combos, while also using his Katana, to parry the attacks when the assassin attempted to make ice swords. After, a somewhat deadly handicap match both earthrealmers, emerged from the fight victorious.

Sonya Blade: "Alright done! Now we're leaving."

Out of nowhere the god of thunder Raidan appeared in front of Shang Tsung, as he moved forward.

Sonya Blade: "Get in my way and I'll kick you a-" She threatened the god before getting interrupted.

Shang Tsung: "A challenge?"

In that moment, Raidan soon clutched his head, while gasping painfully, as he soon encountered another vision. In the vision he saw a defeated Shang Tsung on the ground with someone standing over him. In an effort to protect Sonya, he blocked her way to Shang Tsung.

Raidan: "No. You shall not be the one to challenge Shang Tsung." Raidan stated, but Sonya misunderstood him, and thought he was defending the sorcerer.

Sonya: "So you want some too? Alright!" Sonya said while challenging the god.

Ryan watched that woman challenge that god with no fear in her, and full of pride, and she was winning. He wanted to warn her about him, but something in him told me not to tell her and just see what happens, and now he felt glad that he didn't.

"She is good, and even against a goddamn god she can still protect herself." He told himself in his thoughts, but Ryan didn't realize that he was staring until he heard a voice break his train of thought.

Jax: "Scopin' out my lieutenant, huh?"

Ryan: "What?" He asked in a confused tone.

Jax: "You're scopin' her out. I can see it."

Yeah, to be honest he's not lying, Sonya's a hell of woman, and to be true Ryan does have his sights on her. After, a while of standing on the sidelines, she miraculously pulled through.

Ryan: "Alright Sonya, you've done enough to him. Now let's get the hell out of here!" He yelled but she didn't listen. When she about to deliver one last punch to his face, he said more words to her.

Raidan: "Shield your eyes."

Sonya Blade: "What?"

Raidan: "Shield your eyes." He said once more. And when those words were said a bright white light erupted from his eyes and mouth. Shang Tsung and his guards blocked their eyes from light, and it was their window for escape. As soon, as they weren't looking, Ryan and Sonya approached the cell, with Sonya blowing the cell open using her energy gauntlets. They soon both hooked his arms behind their necks and hauled ass out of the lair. When the light died down from Raidan, two guards went after, while Shang Tsung approached the god.

Shang Tsung: "You aided their escape."

Raidan: "And you allowed them to escape." The god countered.

Shang Tsung: "They will not get far." The sorcerer darkly stated.

Ryan P.O.V

We managed to get some distance from that old bastard, with the help from Raidan, thank god...no pun intended. We kept going and going until we heard a voice from Sonya's wrist communicator.

S.F Command: "Lieutenant Blade, do you copy?"

We soon stopped after a while, letting Jax recover from his interrogation, before Sonya spoke to her communicator.

Sonya Blade: "Roger Command. Now where the hell's that evac?"

S.F Command: "Lieutenant, your evac's en route. Hold tightly."

Ryan: "Christ, can't wait to get outta here."

Sonya Blade: "Oh yeah. Almost home." She agreed with me.

Our moment was short lived when heard footsteps, and the voice of a woman.

Kitana: "Halt. By order of Shang Tsung, no one leaves this island."

Ryan: "Look just let us go, we're not apart of any of this." I attempted to persuade them to back off, but the attempt didn't work.

Kitana: "You have shown your true potential Red Wraith, and I must say that it is slightly impressive. But, let us see if you fare against someone of higher potential." The blue garbed women told me, and at that moment I knew that those were fighting words. After that, both women brandished their weapons the green one a Bojutsu staff, and the blue one, a pair of tessen fans.

Sonya Blade: "We don't have time for this. Get outta the way now!" Sonya ordered as she stepped up by my side. We both entered a stance, and so did both of the women, in my mind I heard someone shout the word "FIGHT!", and with we did. Sonya went up against the green women, and I fought the blue women. I maybe not fight women on a regular basis as a vigilante, but it comes to moments like this then that's when I make an exception for them. She came at me with deadly slashes from the fans intending to chop me into goddamn bits, I mostly dodged her attacks only trying to get her to step off from me and Sonya.

Ryan: "You're making a mistake, woah!" I tried to cope with her with one swipe nearly getting my neck. "Come on, lady just back off." I knew that wouldn't work, but it was worth a shot.

Kitana: "I am no mere lady, Earthrealmer. I am Kitana, the princess and pride of, Edenian." She said in a prideful manner while still trying to kill me.

"A princess?... I'm literally fighting a princess named after a sword? Jeez."

Taking matters into my own hands, I decided that I shouldn't hold back any longerand fight this strange woman, like I mean it.Forsome strange, I'm kind of impressed at what I'm witnessing from thiswoman, either it be her form, or her skills, but I did like it...really. In the end, she may have been more skilled than me and Sonya combined, I managed to defeat, and Sonya did to her opponent.

Sonya Blade: "Don't need anymore surprises like this." She said directing to the unconscious women.

Ryan: "That's right." I agreed with her.

We soon went back to Jax to see how he was holding up.

Sonya Blade: "How you holding up?"

Jax: "Just fine."

Sonya Blade: "Liar. When I get you to base, I'm coming back here. For Kano." She stated, with that last words sounding very dark.

Jax: "Give it a rest. Your obsession'll get you killed." Jax said trying to reason with her, and he did have a point.

Ryan: "He's right." I said before Sonya threw me a sour look with eyes that said "Back the fuck off."

We soon heard and saw a military helicopter flying overhead, meaning that we were getting out of here. Sonya stood up, and starting waving her arms here arms in the arm trying to flag the helo, but out of nowhere a fireball blew the aircraft into a flame.

Ryan: "HOLY SHIT!" I shouted while blocking my eyes from the explosion.

Sonya: "No!" She shouted, but we soon heard laughing when we turned our heads to see Shang Tsung with one his hands on fire, and by his side was Kano. "Damn you!" She yelled with anger coming from the words.

Shang Tsung: "You have a new challenger, Kano." I tried to swiftly run to attack the both of them, but all of sudden another fireball was thrown, and it was at my direction. The impact sent me flying into a brick wall, and I hit the ground face first dazing me badly.

Kano: "Pretty boy and that bastard can save you now, bitch." He snarked before chuckling.

Sonya Blade: "I don't need saving, you bastard!" She yelled angrily, before entering a stance.

I had no idea what was going on because my vision was going in and out, and I was dazed like hell. I could've sworn I heard grunting, blows being landed roughly, when my vision came back I saw Sonya beating Kano to hell, to the point that she nearly killed him, but stopped to apprehend the thug.

Sonya Blade: "You're coming with me, Kano." She spoke to his unconscious self, before getting pushed away by an invisible force, from Shang Tsung.

Shang Tsung: "Kano, is not your prisoner." He stated to her, and quickly Sonya jumped back to her feet.

Sonya Blade: "At least help Jax. For, Christ's sake he needs a medic!" Sonya strongly pleaded, but in return all she got was an evil laugh from the ancient sorcerer, with Kano, and both women that we defeated walking after him.

Sonya Blade: "Goddamn it!" I heard her yell while kicking the ground in utter rage. I managed to get back to my feet, and close by I heard a voice call out.

Johnny Cage: "Hey they're over here!" With a quick turn of my heard I saw Johnny Cage alongside with Liu Kang, and Raidan walking towards us in a brisk pace. "Sonya, Ry-guy! You guys alright?" He asked in curious manner.

Ryan: "We're good, and don't call me "Ry-guy". I said while emphasizing on the don't. "We also managed to find Sonya's guy, but he ain't looking to good." I stated once more.

Johnny Cage: "Jeez you're right he really ain't." He said to me, before turning his attention to soldier. "Hey wassup, sarge." I couldn't help but cringe at that greet.

Sonya Blade: "He's a majo- what are you doing?" She stated before Raidan started taking steps towards the wounded man. Sonya thought as if he was going to harm Jax, but in an effort to show he was friendly I held her back.

Ryan: "Calm down Sonya, he's a friendly." I stated to her. As soon as the god was close to Jax, with that he used his powers which made Jax glow until he was fully healed of his injuries, which shocked me and Sonya.

Jax: "Wow, that's amazing!" Jax uttered when he got to his feet, with no struggle. With the Major revitalized Sonya realized that she was wrong about the god.

Sonya Blade: "Thanks for that...Raidan."

Raidan: "I humbly appreciate your gratitude, but it is not necessary. I have already foreseen these events in my thoughts, and memories of the future. They have lead me to believe that everyone of you are connected to Earthrealms fate , and very survival." The thunder god stated strongly to us about what our main goal was in this tournament, and I still couldn't believe it to this moment.

Liu Kang: "What is it that you have foreseen?" The Shaolin monk asked, with that question Raidan answered while stating it again strongly.

Raidan: "In my visions, Shao Khan becomes invincible, and destroys all life that populates Earthrealm. We lose, and we all die. I am to be that the visions are our guide to succeeding and defeating Shao Khan. But with tempering with the time will have fatal consequences." With all that he said, it was crazy to understand especially coming from a god.

Ryan: "So you're saying that with your "visions from the future" we can use them to stop this Shao Khan guy from killing Earth, but if we don't listen to your visions, then it'll be more dangerous?" I asked Raidan in a curious and anxious manner.

Raidan: "Yes." Jesus...what did I get myself into? I asked myself mentally.

Johnny Cage: "Not worried, really I'm not. But, I'm beating that with you on our side we could win this whole thing." Cage openly uttered.

Raidan: "Unless if directly challenged, I cannot participate in the tournament."

"Well there goes that idea."

Ryan: "And I'm guessing that probably won't even happen because you're a god...and no one ever challenges a god, unless if they have death-wish ...shit." I said, l mumbling that last word to myself, while shaking my head.

Sonya Blade: "So, what now exactly?"

Raidan: "Now the tournament must run its course, and only then we shall see if Earthrealm will survive once and for all."

Sonya Blade: "Alright, then if that's it...we're with you on this Raidan." She said strongly, before turning her attention to me. "What about you, Ryan?" She asked me, before all their gazes turned towards me.

I looked at the ground, still stricken with anxiety piling on me knowing that this was a death tournament, and I could probably die here. But, I realized that if I'm going to die here, on this island...then I'm going to die trying.

Ryan: "Even though I still can't believe myself into, and I could probably die here. Well then I'm gonna die here trying no matter what." I said bravely before raising my gaze to all of them, stating my last words.

"I'm with you guys...I'm with Earthrealm."

Johnny Cage: "Alright! I knew this guy was with us." I said before patting my back.

Raidan: "Excellent. Now follow me we must go back for the dusk announcements." Raidan said while we followed in behind him.
