This is not going to be too serious and is mostly just for fun. Don't get mad when I'm not as good as others
Edit 1: Updated some of the grammar and increased its overall quality (and wow, was it terrible!). Something else that might surprise you is that I got rid of the the [Golden Bough]. That's right it's retcon time baby~! I felt that the reason Tabula could get it didn't make much sense, and after I fleshed out what I wanted for the story more, it's original purpose (to cure Shalltear from the brain washing) is pointless with what I'm now going to do (stay tuned for that!)
To: everyone
Hi I was hoping that you all would join me for the last day of YGGDRASIL, so we can get together one more time.

Around the gleaming black table, that had at one point been bustling with activity, now sat only one figure.
He looked up at the clock counting down to the end and sighed
'I guess they really aren't coming after all.'
Dread filled him as he believes that he will be alone in the end, that they had all truly abandoned him…
Then he heard several dings go off. In time with each one of the 40 chars that had been empty for years was filed with its rightful owner.
"Ulbert, Tabula, Takemikazuchi, you're back!"
"Of course, we wouldn't miss this for the world." Takemikazuchi replied
"We just took a small detour to, 'pick some things up'." Ulbert said taking out several items from his inventory. Most of which were legacy class but there were a few relic and even legendary class
"How did you get all of this?!" Momonga asked, amazed
"Me and Takemikazuchi went around looking for them. Most people ether didn't expect us to be PVPing or just abandoned them for us to find. Other then us Tabula went through the shops and looked for people panic selling. Speaking of, what did you find?"
"Mostly the same as you, but with a lot more data crystals. Though I did also manage to get quite a few Prismatic Ores" Tabula replied taking out what looked like a bar of greenish metal with white bands. [Celestial Uranium]
Several words of approval sprung from the other at the table, before they heard two more dings go off
"What's up guys" they looked to the source of the voice and saw Peroroncino and Bukubukuchagama siting next to each other
"You're here!" Momonga exclaimed
"Of course we didn't want you to be alone for the last day of YGGDRASIL. Although it seems that wasn't necessary." Bukubukuchagama replied in her characteristic childish voice
"Nonsense! After everything we did we should all be here to send YGGDRASIL off."

"Well look what the trash dragged in." a sarcastic Ulbert said in response to the new figure arriving in the room
"After all that's happened can't I say goodbye?" Touch Me replied "And I have some good news I wanted to deliver."
From his inventory he brought out a heavenly golden heart with a pair of feathered wings that looked to be made of intertwined gold ripens. All in all it looked rather plain, as the heart was just a solid block of gold with some engravings, but looked special none the less
"What's so special abut that?"
"Give me a second and I'll explain. Because it's the last day of YGGDRASIL the devs decided to give each [World Champion] a special World Item. In my case they gave me [Heart of Gold]"
"How original "
"Be quiet. It improves my paladin and [World Champion] abilities, gives me resistance to attacks from negative karma enemies and let's me summon 6 lv.100 [Valkyrie Shieldmaidens] on a 100 hour cool down."
"That sounds really good!"
"Cool"
"Isn't it a bit plain for a World Item?"
"Well it's not like it's meant to be super important. It's just a nice-"
"They did not!" Suddenly a shout from Ulbert made everyone turn their attention to him
"What is it now?" Touch Me asked expecting another jap at him
"They said that they gave every [World Disaster] player a World Class item for the last day too, mine being [Heart of Darkness]. It improves my demon and [World Disaster] abilities, protects me from positive karma attacks and let's me summon 6 lv.100 [Demonic Berserker]'s with a 100 hour cool down."
The rest of the table was silent, until they all started to laugh, realizing what the devs had done
"Well then let's see who's is better then!"
"Agreed"
"I'd rather not spend the rest of YGGDRASIL watching you two fight." A voice called out
Turning to look at its source they saw Yamaiko siting at the table
"Yamaiko sempai your here!" Bukubukuchagama said
"When did you get here?" Momonga asked
"I logged in when you were all laughing, what happened?"
After explaining what happened and sharing another collective laugh, the guild mates simply talked for as long as they could, until Momonga looked up at the clock. It read 23:33:41
"Damn only 30 minutes left"
"27 minutes" Tabula replied in a matter of fact tone
"Well we might as well see YGGDRASIL off in the throne room."
Agreeing, they all got up and started walking to the throne room, admiring all the detail that was put into Nazarick, and all the memories it stirred
As they neared the throne room Touch Me took a double take at the Pleiades and Sebas, and said "follow". In response the NPC's quickly bowed, before falling in line with the group
Looking over the throne room they began to feel sad at how all of their work, all of their memories, would be destroyed in just a few minutes. Tabula looked longingly at the being next to the throne
"Albedo. It's hard to think that all the work I put into you is going to be for nothing in the end."
"Mind if I look at her settings?" Momonga asked
"Of course, an artist always likes when people admire his work."
Opening Albedo's settings Momonga thought that he was looking at a novel, with how long and detailed they were, until he saw what was at the end
"A slut?" Momonga asked, seeing what was written
"Kinky~. Oww." Peroroncino reflexively said, as a digital hand slapped him
"Still don't you think that you should change that? I mean it feels wrong that you worked so hard on her, and yet you make her… that." Bukubukuchagama said, quickly moving on from Peroroncino's comment
"She's right."
"Yeah."
"Alright, alright, I'll change it." Tabula said deleting the line, and replacing it with 'she is deeply in love with Momonga'
"..."
"Please change it back" a embarrassed Momonga stuttered out
The rest of them erupted into laughter
"What are you talking abut? That's perfect!" Ulbert said before barreling into laughter again
After everyone stopped laughing, Momonga looked back at the clock. 23:59:47
"It almost time"
"Damn I'm really going to miss this place." Peroroncino said
"With all that we have put into it who wouldn't?" Yamaiko replied

The Supreme Beings looked around the room confused at why they haven't been kicked by the shutdown
"Did they delay the shutdown?" Momonga asked but when he spoke, his voice was suddenly much deeper then before. The other Supreme Beings were going to comment on it, when a voice interrupted their thoughts
"Is something wrong my lords?"
Their heads shot to the voice. The question of who said that raced through their minds, but as they looked around they saw that the throne room was empty. There was only the Supreme Beings, and the NPC's. They looked over to the NPC's to see that Albedo had... moved? Her head was tilted, and the voice had come from her direction, but that couldn't have been it. NPC's couldn't talk, and they only moved when directly interacted with
"Albedo… did you just speak?" For a second Tabula believed that he wouldn't get an answer. After all he never programmed her how to act if he said that. But he also didn't program her to act like this ether
Albedo's face quickly changed to worry, as she quickly lowered her head "I-I'm vary sorry my lord. I just-"
"It is fine." Momonga suddenly said, surprising both himself and the other Supreme Beings with how calm he was with the situation they were in
He thought quickly, realizing that it was probably taking all of the other Supreme Beings willpower just to not completely freak out at what had happened. He had to take control of the situation. First he needed to see if they were in danger, and what else had changed
"Sebas, take the Pleiades and secure the area surrounding Nazarick, do not engage with any sentient being you find."
"Yes my lord." With clipped, practiced steps Sebas and the Pleiades left the throne room
"Albedo, have all the floor guardians except for Gargantua and Victim meet us in the coliseum in one hour."
"Yes my lord."
After Albedo had left, the other Supreme Beings looked at Momonga. A moment past as the reality of the situation set in
"The fuck just happened?" Peroroncino blurted out
"I- I think the game is real." Momonga began "I know-"
"And your calm about this!?" Bukubukuchagama interrupted, her voice no longer having the form of a child's, but instead that of a mature women
"I'm freaking out, but that doesn't mean I can't do things rationally."
"..."
"No offense man, but I saw you use your world item. Because of a prank." Peroroncino said
That made a few snicker, as the memory resurfaced, before Ulbert realized something
"Wait, if this is all all real then..." he turned to Touch Me, rearing back before punching him. Touch Me remained unfazed, while Ulbert grabbed onto his hand in pain "Ah! Its like hitting a steel wall!"
At that Touch Me looked proud, like he had slain a great beast
"I mean, what did you expect? You a Sorcerer, and he's a warrior, of course you wouldn't be able to damage him with a punch." Tabula pointed out
"While watching you two hit each other is definitely entertaining, we're kind of on the clock here." Yamaiko said
"You're right. Any number of thing could have changed, and- oh shit the settings!" Tabula said as he realized what he had done
"What?" Takemikazuchi asked
"I made Albedo in love with Momonga!"
"…"
"Oh yes!" Peroroncino said realizing what this meant... "oww!" Before regretting it as a now vary real 'hand' hit him again
"Well I suppose that we should go the the coliseum. While we're there we can check if our abilities have changed at all." Takemikazuchi suggested
"Agreed, but how do we get there?" Touch Me asked
"Try and use the rings I guess."
Taking a moment to collect themselves, they all thought of activating their rings to go to the coliseum. Right as they did so, a red light enveloped them, and they found themselves where they intended to be
"If I remember correctly chagama's NPC's should be around here." as if on cue with what Touch Me said, a figure leaped down from the stands and ran over to the Supreme Beings. In the distance, they could also see another figure who, after some trepidation, leaped down as well
"My lords! I'm happy to see that you have returned!" Aura said barely containing her excitement
"Yes, we will be intruding in this place for a while." Momonga replied
"What are you saying, you are the Supreme Beings! You can go were ever you wish."
By this time, Mare had arrived, and was now bowing alongside Aura
"H-hello, m-my lords! It's n-nice to s-see you again."
"Thank you. I should also tell you that I have called the other floor guardians to meet here in one hour."
"Of course, we will aid you in any way you requi-!" Aura began, before being interrupted by Bukubukuchagama
"Oh you two are just too cute!" Bukubukuchagama said, rushing over, unable to contain herself any longer
"Well now I think we should start our tests. Aura set up some targets." Ulbert said, ignoring the adorable scene between creator and created
"Of course!"
After the targets had been set up, the Supreme Beings began to test their different abilities. Aura and Mare stood by, watching in amazement, as gouts of flame, and steaks of lightning raced through the arena
"[Message]." Tabula innovated
A pang, not unlike a phone's ringtone, sounded through the Supreme Beings heads. At their mental command, the spell took hold in their minds
'What is this?' Yamaiko asked through the new found connection
'I figured we would need a way to communicate without letting those around us know. Seeing as our normal methods would ether impossible or impractical, considering we would need to type out our messages, I thought [Message] would be the best choice.' Tabula replied
"Oh? It seems I'm the first to arrive." A sultry, but strangely young voice rang out, as what seemed to be a young girl in a black, Victorian era dress walked through a [Gate]. "Lord Peroroncino!" She 'ran' over to him. Her run speed being noticeably slower then she, as a level 100 character, should be able to achieve. Nonetheless, once she reached him, she hugged her arms around his waist "I'm so glad you chose to return!"
For a second Peroroncino moved to return her embrace "Shallte-" but before he could finish he heard a voice ring off in his head as a certain slime sifted closer to him
'Don't you fucking dare.'
Sensing the change in the air, Shalltear looked up at her lord, worry beginning to show in her face, before Aura acted
"Fake boobs."
Shalltear moved to face her, her face contorting with barely concealed rage "What did you just say to me?"
"I said, 'fake boobs'. You must have rushed so much to meet your darling, that you overstuffed your bra."
Moving off of her lord, Shalltear visibly flinched at the comment
"Its not like you-."
"You. Two. Should. Not. Be. Messing. Around. In. Front. Of. Our. Master's."
A icy chill hit everyone in the coliseum as Cocytus walked in from one of the entrances. The floor around him began to freeze over from his simple presence
The two's face's contorted in fear, before they were hidden as they kneeled in front of their lords
""I am extremely sorry for my actions! Please punish me as you see fit!"" They both spoke in unison
'They're scared we'll punish them... for that?' Touch me asked through the [Message] 'None of us would ever do that. Except for maybe Ulbert, but he's an asshole, so he doesn't count.'
'HEY!'
"It's fine. You may stand." Yamaiko said
""What we did was-""
"I insist." They reminded her of some of the more stubborn kids she had taught in the past (granted, in a vary different way), so she decided to be more forceful. Unfortunately, doing so seemed to terrify them even more, but it did work to make them rise almost immediately after
""My apologies.""
Moving on from the display, Cocytus kneeled in front of his creator
"I. Am. Glad. To. See. That. You. Have. Returned. Lord. Warrior. Takemikazuchi."
"As am I."
"I. Am. Unworthy. Of. Your. Praise."
"Oh? It seems that we are the last ones to arrive."
From one of the coliseum's gates, emerged Albedo, with Demiurge following closely behind her. Seeing his creator, Demiurge, just as Cocytus did, kneeled in front of him
"I am glad that you have chosen us worthy of your presence, lord Ulbert Alain Odle."
"Then show us what you are capable of."
"Of course, my lord."
"Now then," Albedo began, drawing everyone's attention "let us present ourselves before the Supreme Beings."
The floor guardians lined up in front of the Supreme Beings. Shalltear stepped forward, and kneeled
"Shalltear Bloodfallen, guardian of the first, second, and third floors. I bow before the Supreme Beings."
Then Cocytus did the same
"Cocytus. Guardian. Of. The. Fifth. Floor. I. Bow. Before. The. Supreme. Beings."
Then Aura
"Aura Bella Fiora, guardian of the sixth floor. I bow before the Supreme Beings."
Then the rest of the guardians
"M-Mare Bella Fiora, a-also guardian of t-the sixth floor. I-I bow before t-the Supreme Beings."
"Demiurge, guardian of the seventh floor. I bow before the Supreme Beings."
"Albedo, overseer of all the floors. I bow before the Supreme Beings."
"…"
'What now?' Takemikazuchi couldn't help but ask
Deciding to take the lead as the least flustered of the group, Momonga spoke up
"Raise your heads"
All of the guardians simultaneously raised their heads, as if they were perfectly coordinated machines. This only helping to unnerve the Supreme Beings even more
"First, I would like to thank you all for coming on such sort notice."
"Your thanks is wasted on us, we live only to serve you." Albedo replied almost immediately, to which the rest of the guardians nodded their heads in agreement
Now somehow even more flustered then before, the Supreme Beings began wondering how Momonga was so calm. This looked normal for him
While they thought about this, Sebas had arrived, and taken a knee with the other guardians
"I apologize for my lateness."
"It is fine. Now then, it seems that Nazarick has found itself in a strange situation. Sebas will now explain what he has found."
"Yes, it seems that Nazarick has been transported from of the swamp it was originally in, and is now in a grassy plan. We found no intelligent life or evidence of intelligent life for a mile in any direction, however we did see some small animals."
Takemikazuchi was intrigued, and tried to use Sebas as a way to distract himself from the people kneeling at his feet
"Small animals? Were they monsters?"
"No, they were creatures with little to no combat ability, such as foxes and rabbits."
This intrigued him even more. There was vary few plains in YGGDRASIL, and even then, they would all have some kind of danger, be it monsters or environmental hazards
"Was the grass frozen or dangerous in some way?"
"No, it was just grass."
"Was there anything that could pose a threat to anything over level 5?"
"Not that we could find."
'Thats… actually more conserving then the alternative. At least if there was hazards we could have a better understanding of where we are. Can you guys think of anything similar from YGGDRASIL?'
'The closest I can think of is the starting area, but even that has some monsters and buildings' Touch Me replied
This made the Supreme Beings think. They had no idea were they were, or if they were even in YGGDRASIL
"Mare." Yamaiko quickly said
"Y-yes"
"Is it possible to conceal Nazarick?"
"W-well if we only use illusion spells i-it would be difficult to c-cover all of it, b-but that w-would take a large amount o-of gold."
This sent the Supreme Beings into another round of mental discussion. However, Mare, mistaking it as disappointment, spoke up again
"B-but that I-isn't to say t-that we couldn't do it! A-and i-if you wish, w-we could use non-magical means t-to m-make it look like a-a hill, o-or forest!"
Sensing his sudden nervousness, Yamaiko was about to praise his idea. However before she could, Albedo spoke up as well
"You wish to smudge the glorious walls of Nazarick, and hide its magnificent, with mud and dirt!"
"Albedo, it is fine." Yamaiko firmly said
"But-"
"We are in a unfamiliar environment, and don't know much of our predicament. It will be necessary to stay hidden for the time being."
"I understand." Albedo lowered her head in apology, but she still shook slightly. Not enough for most to notice, but enough for the more perceptive to see
"Sebas, are there any hills or forests in the region?" Takemikazuchi asked
"No, it is completely flat."
Takemikazuchi contemplated his words, before coming to a decision
"Mare, use your magic to grow a forest around Nazarick. One thick enough that no one could spot us from the outside, and large enough that it would take a long time to traverse by foot. Make sure that it is especially thick around Nazarick."
"Y-yes."
"Albedo, Demiurge." He continued
"Yes." The two replied in unison
"Set up a information net around the forest Mare is creating. If anything enters or leaves I want to know immediately."
"Understood, we will begin working on it immediately."
"Good"
Looking out at their creations, the Supreme Beings felt their minds feel almost numb with the amount of shear panic going through them. However, they still felt calm in a way, as if they were going through the same motions they had a thousand times. For some reason, it almost felt like being at their old jobs
Seeing the rising unease in his friends, Momonga moved to end this meeting
"Now the I have a final question for each of you. What are we to you?" He asked "Shalltear."
"The incarnation of beauty. My creator, lord Peroroncino with his golden feathers he is without flaw, and their leader Momonga, who's nobility is outclassed by none." She did not hesitate in the slightest
"Cocytus."
Nether did he. "Those. Who. Are. Stronger. Then. All. Others. My. Creator. Warrior. Takemikazuchi. Who's. Honor. And strength. Is. Outclassed. By. None. And. Momonga. Who. Commands. Strategy's. Far. Better. Then. What. Anyone. Else. Can. Imagine."
"Aura"
"Amazing rulers, who achieve things beyond our comprehension."
"Mare"
"Caring leaders who always do the best for their subjects."
"Demiurge"
"Wise rulers who think ahead. My creator lord Ulbert Alain Odle, who is the embodiment of cunning and evil, and their leader Momonga who's plans go far beyond what I could ever hope to understand."
"Sebas"
"Merciful leaders who did not abandon us. My creator Touch Me, who is the embodiment of justice and order, and Momonga the one who brought them all together."
"Albedo."
"The ones who rule over all others, and their leader Momonga, our highest, most exalted master." Unlike the others, she took a moment to compose herself "And the man I love most deeply."
"...I see. We have heard and understand your opinions. We have given you your orders. Carry them out faithfully."
With that the Supreme Beings teleported away, and left the guardians to reflect on what they had been told
