Minato looks at his hand, then wasting no time, starts making his move.
'I TAKE BLACK FANG AND PURPLE POISON MAGICAIN AND OVERLAY, FORMING THE OVERLAY NETWORK WITH THE TWO!'
The two swirled into a galaxy.
'SHINE BRIGHT LIKE THE COSMOS, MAGICIAN, AND BRING VICTORY TO THE RIGHTEOOUS PEOPLE!
XYZS SUMMON! COME FORTH: RANK 4, TIMESTAR MAGICIAN!'
The magician had the Timegazer Magician's Arm accessory, with the Chronography Magician's weapon, and was dressed in black and cosmic-white.
'I discard a XYZ material from him, adding DOUBLE IRIS MAGICIAN to my hand!
'PENDULUM SUMMON!
- DOUBLE IRIS MAGICIAN!
- PERFORMAPAL ODD-EYES SYNCHRON!
- CELESTIAL MAGICAN!
CELESTIAL MAGICIAN'S ATTACK IS ONCE AGAIN 2500!
Yumi's eyes lit up, at the summon of a copy of her favourite monster.
'I TUNE DOUBLE IRIS AND CELESTIAL MAGICIAN WITH SYNCHRON!
They turned into Synchro Circles.
CLAD IN GOLD-WHITE ARMOR, APPEAR ON THE FIELD!
SYNCHRO SUMMON! LEVEL 10, BARONNE DE FLEUR!'
A white-armoured Knight in a black mask, riding upon a Horse with the same armor. Rode out ofhte circles onto the field.
'Xyz AND Synchro? This isn't good!' Mirai thought
'I ACTIVATE BARRONE DE FLEUR'S EFFECT, DESTROYING BLUE EYES!'
The Dragon flinched, crumbling into dust as the Baronne stabbed it wither bladed shield.
'NOW, BARRONE ATTACKS THE MAIDEN WITH EYES OF BLUE, AND TIMESTAR ATTACKS YOUR LIFEPOINTS!'
MIRAI: 3600
'I end my turn here.'
Mirai draws, furious.
'I ACTIVATE BINGO MACHINE GO! CHOOSE, MUTO!'
The capsules rolled out of the machine.
'THREE!'
'I ADD BLUE EYES WHITE DRAGO TO MY HAND, AND SUMMON KAIBAMAN!
A man wearing a whit coat and a Blue Eyes Mask fell onto the field from an invisible sky.
'KAIBAMAN IS TRIBUTED TO SUMMON BLUE EYES FROM THE HAND!'
Kaibaman disappeared into light, as another blue eyes, roaring twice as loud, appeard from Kaibaman.
'NOW, I ACTIVATE: BURST STREAM OF DESTRUCTION, DESTROYING YOUR BARRONE DE FLEUR!'
The dragon breathed energy at the Baron, destroying both it and her.
'GAH!'
'I END MY TURN! WHAT ARE YOU GONNA DO NOW?'
Minato picks up a card, and draws.
'PENDULUM SUMMON!
- DOUBLE IRIS MAGICIAN!
- BLACK FANG MAGICIAN!
'APPEAR, CIRCUIT THAT LEADS TO VICTORY!'
The link circuit from Shiro's fight appears once again.
'ARROWHEADS CONFIRMED: TWO PENDULUM MONSTERS! I SEND IN DOUBLE IRIS AND BLACK FANG!'
Iris and Fang turn into light, getting absorbed by the arrows.
APPEAR, LINK 2! HEAVYMETALFOES ELECTRUMINTE!'
A mass of bug, machine and human appeared on the field, with propulsors and wings on her back and
'I ADD DOUBLE IRIS TO MY HAND, USING ELECTRUMITE'S EFFECT!'
'I USE ITS EFECT AGAIN TO DESTROY HARMONIZING MAGICIAN, ALLOWING ME TO DRAW A CARD!
Harmonizing magician disappears, fading from her pendulum zone.
'NOW, ATTACK! ELECTRUMITE!
Electrumite slashes Mirai with her (slightly blunt) daggers.
MIRAI: 1800
'I end my turn!'
Mirai draws.
'Futile! I activate ULTIMATE FUSION, FUSING THE 2 BLUE-EYES FROM MY GRAVEYARD!
'GREAT DRAGONS! BLUR INTO A GREATER POWER, AND TAKE THE STAGE FOR MY OWN!'
'FUSION SUMMON! LEVEL 12: BLUE-EYES TWIN BURST DRAGON!'
A two headed Blue-Eyes-White-Dragon Entered the field its shadow cast over Minato.
'WITH IT'S EFFECT, IT CAN ATTACK TWO MONSTERS!'
'GO! TWIN BURST STREAM OF DESTRUCTION! ATTACK ELECTRUMITE AND THE MAGICIAN!'
The two heads aimed them.
'I Activate the action card: BIG ESCAPE! It allows me to end the battle phase!'
'Fine, not like you can do anything now…'
Minato draws, and looks, he doesn't have a card, out of the two in his hand, that can set the pendulum scale.
'I…. end my turn.' He says, scared.
'FOOL!' Mirai draws.
'Go, TWIN BURST STREAM OF DESTRUCTION!'
The bursts destroy Heavymetalfoes Electrumite, shaking the ground as Minato struggles for balance.
'GO! ATTACK HIS MAGICIAN!'
The same happens, as the Magician is vaporised.
MINATO: 3900
'I end my turn…'
Minato draws, but isn't greeted with a pendulum Monster he can set the Scales with.
'I set a monster facedown, and end my turn'
Mirai draws,
'I summon Dictator of D.! Now I choose your attack targets!'
Aman in a skull uniform and skull mask appears from a white light, flexing his muscles.
'NOW, DICTATOR DESTRUCTION!'
He stamps out the set card.
'TWIN BURST STREAM OF DESTRUCTION!'
The burst hit Minato at the feet, making him fly into the air and hit the ground.
MINATO: 900
The red 900 pulsed on the screen, as Minato stood up from that attack, taking 3 action cards from broken stones: Action crush, Burning barrel and Double attack, none useful
He draws, exhausted from Blue-eyes' attacks.
'I place scale eight Double Iris Magician in the other Pendulum Zone…Pendulum Summon!'
- Celestial Magician!
- Iris Magician!
- Black Fang Magician!
- Purple poison Magician from the Hand!
- Purple poison magician from the grave!
And… XYZ summon! Iris and Purple poison form the Overlay… N-network!

Minato looks at his monsters, realizing he's got no plays left. He looks at Yumi, wondering how he'll beat Mirai for Yumi… wondering why he wanted to…

Young Minato looked at the card that Yumi had dropped, the Odd Eyes Synchron on the floor. Yumi had snatched it up and ran.
'W-Wait up!' Minato yelled, chasing after him.
He grabbed his wrist, as Yumi flinched and braced for… an attack?
Minato slowly let go, asking to see the card. Yumi had reluctantly let him see it.
Yumi showed him the card.
'Cool! I didn't know you dueled!'
'I- 'Young Yumi stuttered, frowning 'Don't… Grandma says children dueling I-is bad…'
Minato looked shocked, 'Well then, your grandma's a Jerk!'
Yumi struck up, scared. 'D-Don't say that! What if she hears you?'
'But your grandma's not here!' Minato tells her. 'She's just another human! A Jerk at that! Jerk!'
Minato had continued to chant 'Jerk' Until Yumi started crying.
Since that day, Minato had helped her, out of the kindness of his heart, to get into dueling.

'You summon once per turn, and you can play as many spells you want!'

So, he wondered, why was he so intent on helping her now?

'And to tribute summon a level 8 to 9 monster, you need to tribute 2!'

Finish off this Disgrace, Twin Burst...' He said, turning his head…
The twin burst dragon's heads aimed at the Purple Poison Magician's Feet, attacking it….
As Minato was knocked back by the force of their attack
And his life points hit zero.
