Momonga had been testing out some of his abilities in his dressing room when he had an idea

'Guys I've been wondering, do you want to get outside for a little?'
'Definitely'
'Absolutely'
'Of course'
'Then why don't we? It's been three days it'll be fine if we step out for a minute.'
'But that doesn't sound very lordly, to go out in the middle of the night for some fresh air.' Ulbert said
"Wait, it's night!?'
'Ya what did you think it is, mid day?' Takemikazuchi
'Yes! Wait, why are you up so late?'
'We have Ring of Sustenance's so we don't need to sleep.' Tabula answered
'Well to answer Ulbert we can just say that we are meeting with Peroroncino for something.' Yamaiko said
'Oh? Are you finally off-'
'Don't you dare.' Bukubukuchagama quickly shut him up before he could embarrassed her
'Well why don't we meet at the entrance to the tomb for now?' Tabula suggested
'I'm good with that.'
'Sure.'
'Let's go!'
[Message end]
"I will be stepping out for now."
His maid for the day responded "of course, your guards ar-"
"That will not be necessary."
"Pl-Please reconsider, if something happens to you we-"
'Why are they always like this?'
"Don't worry, I will be with the other Supreme Beings."
"Even so-"
"This is an order. I understand your concern but I wish to talk to them alone."
Reluctantly she nodded her head. The gilt at what he was doing ate at his heart but he could not go back now
[Ring of Ainz Ooal Gown]
His vision changed to that on stone, he saw a large hallway with stars leading down into Nazarick and an opening to the surface. The other Supreme Beings were surrounding him, but they seemed somewhat scared or nervous. For a second he thought it might be an enemy but then he saw the four demons at the top of the steps

'What are they doing here!?' Bukubukuchagama asked
'I don't know, just let me take the lead' Ulbert responded
"Demiurge? What are you doing here?"
The Evil Lords and Demiurge quickly keeled before their masters
"I was going to meet with Albedo, but I must ask why you have come here without your guards?"
"We're meeting with Peroroncino."
"I see..." they saw a devilish smile form on his face
'Why is he smiling?' Touch Me asked suspiciously
'Relax justice freak he's probably just massively overthinking what we said. Like normal.' Ulbert responded in a somewhat tired but also proud voice
"However I can not allow you to go unaccompanied."
"Alright, I will allow one of you to come with us."
"I understand."
The group went off to outside Nazarick
"[Mass Fly]"
As Mononga's spell took affect the group rose into the air
"There you guys are." Peroroncino said coming too them from the distance, but they barely noticed him as they were all looking up at the sky
"It's beautiful." Tabula blurted out. Nothing that he or any others made could compare to what he was seeing
"I know, even Blue Planet's work doesn't truly do it justus."
"It's like a box of jewels." Bukubukuchagama said
"Perhaps it is. I believe the beauty of this world exists to adorn you my lord's."
"Maybe your right, but this is not something we can claim for our self's. Perhaps these jewels are meant to adorn the Great Tomb of Nazarick. All of it." Momonga said
"If is your wish, then by your command, I shall lead Nazarick's forces to claim this chest of jewels. I would like nothing more than to present this chest of jewels to you me lords."
"As long as we do not know anything about the beings which live in this world, I can only say that your idea is foolish. For all we know, we might be minuscule weaklings in this world. However, conquering this world might be quite interesting."
That brought a chuckle from the others, but unbeknownst to them the devil behind them smile simply grew bigger at a sudden realization
Before they could enjoy the sight any longer they heard a rumbling coming from under them. When they looked down they saw large streams of mud and dirt flowing at the walls
"Looks like Mare is doing well. Why don't we give him some kind of reward? What do you think Demiurge?" Bukubukuchagama asked
"I believe that your thanks will be finest reward he could receive."
'You not just going to thank him. What are you thinking?' Takemikazuchi asked
'Well moving between the floors is tedious so why not give some of the floor guardians a [Ring of Ainz Ooal Gown]?'
'They'll need to be careful, but not any more then us. I say go for it.' Yamaiko replied
'Any against?' Momonga asked
'...'
'Well then go for it.'
as they flew down Mare spotted them and stopped to run over to them
"L-lady Bukubukuchagama! What are you doing here? D-did I do something wrong?" Mare asked as they landed in a meek voice
"No! You are hiding Nazarick from those that might do us harm and for that we will reward you with this." Bukubukuchagama said while puling out a [Ring of Ainz Ooal Gown]
"I-I-I can't except this!"
Mare's passionate refusal surprised the Supreme Beings
"Th-that's a treasure th-that only the Supreme Beings can have! I-I can have one!"
"Calm down Mare. Teleportation is blocked in Nazarick but the floor guardians like yourself will need to move around to both command their floors and manage Nazarick as a whole. It only makes sense that you would have one so you can more properly do your jobs."
"Th-then why me? W-why should I be the only one?"
"You won't be the only one we give a [Ring of Ainz Ooal Gown, but if we give it to someone who did nothing then it would have no meaning. Or do you intend to devalue this ring?"
"I-of course not!"
"Then take it."
Reluctantly and hesitantly Mare reached out and took the ring from Bukubukuchagama. He put it on, smiling fondly at it until they head the sound of high heels walking on stone
"Ah Albedo, it's good to see you!" Tabula said looking back at his creation
"Thank you my lord, but why are you here without your guards?"
Demiurge spoke up "they were meeting with lord Peroroncino and believed that they were unnecessary, but allowed me to accompany them."
"I see."
As Albedo bowed for a second it seemed that her eyes had gone wide and an angry expression overtook her face before it returned to normal
'What was that?' Takemikazuchi asked
'Did she see the ring?' Ulbert said
'Oh shit' was the only reaction that the Supreme Beings could muster.
"Is something wrong?" Tabula asked
"Oh no... Mare, sorry for disturbing you. Take a break, and continue the camouflage work afterwards."
'She saw the ring.' Yamaiko said
'Oh definitely.' Peroroncino replied
"Y-yes! Th-then I'll be on my way."
As Bukubukuchagama 'nodded' at him Mare rubbed the ring on his finger and left.
"Speaking of which, why are you here, Albedo?" Tabula asked
"I was going to meet with Demiurge when I heard you would be here. However in my rush I was unable to to clean myself before seeing you, so I apologize for making you see me in this filthy state."
"What are you talking about? Some dust could never diminish something as beautiful as you. If anything I am sorry for making you run around like this, but because this is an emergency we don't have much of a choice."
"I can endure any hardship for you my lord."
"thank you for your loyalty. Oh and I have something to give to you."
"what might that be?"
Tabula brought out a ring, which was naturally a [Ring of Ainz Ooal Gown, and placed it in her hands
"you will need this as Guardian Overseer."
"T-thank you very much." She said bowing deeply
'Is she not exited?' Ulbert asked somewhat displeased at her lack of a reaction
'No she's just trying to keep her expression a mask like I programed her to do. Albeit better then I thought she would given the situation' Tabula replied defending her
"Continue your loyal service, as for Demiurge... when the time comes."
"I understand. I will continue to work hard to became worthy of such a gift."
"Good. Now then we must return to the tasks that we much take care of, goodbye."
After seeing Albedo and Demiurge bow in response, the Supreme Beings activated their own [Ring's of Ainz Ooal Gown].

if they made it to the forest then Enri might be able to lose them
but they were getting closer

Her legs were burning and she did not know how much longer she could keep running, but she had to keep going
she was in the deep of the forest when she felt a burning sensation going thru her shoulder and down her back.
The pain made her legs give up on her, and she fell to the ground
'This is the end'
Nemu had to run but was clutching tight to Enri's chest
"Hahaha, how pathetic." She heard the chuckle of one of the knights getting closer and closer to her, taunting her
"Just finish her off you sadistic bastard." The other knight that just seemed done with what his collage was doing
"Ah your no fun. Welp at least you can die for the good of humanity instead of a useless present on a farm."
'How is this going to help humanity?!'
Enri saw his blade come over his head and braised for it to end her life, but it never came. She looked over to were the knights were and saw them looking over in fear. Confused she looked over at what they saw and immediately regretted the discussion
Momonga sat in his office with Touch Me, Yamaiko, and Sebas trying to get the [Mirror of Remote Viewing] to work
"Try this." Yamaiko said gesturing with her hands
"It worked!" Momonga exclaimed before he noticed something moving on the screen. He zoomed into it and saw a village.
"Looks like you finally got the hang of that thing."
"Wait something's going on, zoom in." Touch Me interrupted
It seemed like their was more actively then one would expect from a village of its size
"A festival?" Momonga questioned
"No, that's not a festival." Touch Me replied, he had a bad feeling about this
As they looked closer they found a group of knights slaughtering villagers, but the Supreme Beings found that they did not mind the blood and gore that they were witnessing. But that made them more scared
"What are they doing?" Yamaiko asked
"Rounding up the villagers for... something." Momonga replied
"We have to help them." Touch Me said with iron clad determination in his voice
"Wait we don't know how strong the beings of this world are. For all we know those knights are all level 100." Momonga responded, knowing that how unlikely that was
"We can't just do nothing!" Touch Me was having flashbacks to when he had to give up on saving someone because of his corrupt bosses, but now he was the boss. He would not be them, willing to throw away lives for a few more dollars
"Well what about them?" Yamaiko said pointing to two girls being chased by some knights "they're away from the village and we can probably take just two of them."
"Fine, I'll open a [gate] and send a [message] to the others. [gate]." Touch me quickly went into the [Gate] before being followed by Yamaiko "Sebas, put Nazarick's security on maximum and have Albedo meet as there after fully equipping herself. However, I forbid her from bringing Ginnungagap. After that, prepare support units. Something might happen which results in my inability to retreat, therefore the units sent to the village should be adept at stealth or have the ability to go invisible." Finally Momonga stepped through the [Gate] as Sebas went to complete the tasks given to him
A swirling black semi-circle appeared in front of her. She barely had time to realize what was happening before a paladin with pure white armor stepped through it. It's mere presence seemed to make the earth itself shake. The knights were too afraid to even move before it spoke
"So you chase little girls with glee, but when you see someone that is strong you are too afraid to move? Pathetic" his very voice seemed to be stronger then anything they had seen before, as if it could destroy any evil that came its way
Before the knights could respond the paladin shot forward as a silver blur and cut one of the knights in half like he was made of nothing but air
"What's going on?"
Another figure appeared through the portal. This one seemed to be clothed in strange yellow priestly robes that covered her entire body. Covering her hands were huge red metal fists. Her voice was feminine and caring but also somehow commanding
"They're weak, vary weak."
The knight tried to run away, but before he get a few feet the yellow figure moved beside him. She seemed to only punch the air but from that the knight seemed to explode into a bloody pulp
"Really weak. What are they level 25? 30?"
"With their gear I would say even lower, probably 15 or 20."
As he finished speaking a third figure stepped out of the portal this one was a skeleton. With purple robes, a bare skull, and a, it was terrifying.
"Are they really that weak?" Its voice was kingly like someone who was used to being obeyed "these ones might be exceptionally weak."
"Even then the others will be pushovers at best."
"Just to be safe." He raised his hand over to the knights body and a black mist covered it. It grew and grew until it receded and revealed a undead with a black shield and sword. It seemed massive and powerful but at the same time like nothing compared to the other beings around it
A final being emerged from the portal before it disappeared. This one in black armor and had horns perturbing from its helmet
"I apologize for by lateness my lords." She spoke in a feminine and sweet voice "shall I exterminate these lesser being?" The sweet way she spoke about killing them was terrifying
Enri hugged her sister even harder then before. Was this going to be it? Would she die just when things seemed hopeful?
"Leave them." The Paladin said sternly and quickly
"Are you alright?" The yellow figure asked "That cut looks bad, let me help [Heavy Recover]."
As she finished speaking Enri's wound seemed to completely disappeared
"I-I-I"
"Do you know about magic?" The skeleton asked
"Y-yes"
"Good, [Anti-Life Cocoon] [Wall of Protection From Arrow]. Stay inside these and you should be safe but just in case." He handed them two small horns "blow these and they will summon a small troop of goblin's to protect you."
"I-I th-thank you vary much." Enri stammered out rushing to kowtow beside her sister
"Good."
After saving the girls the Supreme Beings realized that letting people know that they were monsters was not the best idea. They modified the memory of the girls and met up with the rest of the Supreme Beings to disguise them. Takemikazuchi and Momonga were easy, Takemikazuchi just needed a big helmet and Momonga just put on some gauntlets and a [Mask of Envy]. Peroroncino and Ulbert were harder but still doable, long red robes and a mask that mirrors his original one for Ulbert, and a tight leather outfit and bird like mask for Peroroncino. Tabula was... difficult. His body was fairly easy just some gloves and extra clothes but his tentacles were much harder. They ended up just using some illusion spells to make it look like a hood and mask. Finally they decided that Bukubukuchagama would just have to stay on standby in Nazarick.
As they neared the village they saw smoke rising from the buildings and soldiers slaughtering villagers trying to escape. Touch Me, unable to stand it, rushed forward
"Make sure he doesn't get into trouble." Momonga said to Takemikazuchi, Yamaiko and the Death Knight
"With pleasure."
"Don't worry."
"Ahhhhhh!." The Death knight let out a blood curtailing scream
"And only kill the ones in that armor." Momonga added pointing at a knights corpse
Seemingly somewhat disappointed the Death Knight rushed forward behind the three Supreme Beings
"Why don't we use this time to conduct some experiments?" Tabula suggested
"Good idea." Momonga replied
Londes had not liked this mission. He know it was for the betterment of humanity but it just left a bad taste in his mouth. Now however he liked it even less.
The scream that emanated from the outskirts of the village terrified the villagers, but the knights began assessing the situation. It sounded somewhat human but also monsteras. All of the knights came to the same conclusion. Demi-humans. Whatever it was it must be a strong one, maybe a kind of Beastmen or Zoastia. All of the knights quickly got into fighting position, except for Captain Belius.
"You lot go, kill what ever that thing is!"
As soon as he heard the shout he fell over in fear and was still on the ground when a shining figure emerged from one of the roads. It was a paladin. All of the knights relaxed somewhat upon seeing it. If a paladin was here they had a better chance at fighting the Demi-human
"You there! What are you doing here?! Get over their and kill that thing! I can't die here!"
"..."
The experienced knights could sense something from the Paladin. It wasn't something they expected but it felt kind of like familiarity.
The Paladin started to walk towards Belius
"What are you doing? That thing is other there! Go kill it!"
"I didn't think that the first person I would meet here would be one of you."
His voice was calm and steady but beneath it was something that the knights couldn't seem to identity. Until...
"What ar-"
He grabbed Belius by the throat stoping him from talking
"You really are pathetic."
It was then that the knights realized what it was they were missing. Rage. Pure unadulterated rage far stronger then anything they had seen before. The rage of seeing your loved one cheat on you. The rage of seeing your home burned down. The rage of seeing your family's killer and not being able to do anything. It was all this and much, much more.
Crack
"Hm?"
The Paladin dropped Belius's lifeless corpse after breaking his neck with the shear force of his grip
"It's hard to think that someone as weak as you can kill anything."
Two other beings emerged from were he had come from
"Ah good, Takemikazuchi kill those trying to escape, Yamaiko care for the villagers."
None of the knights could even understand what was happening when a final figure emerged. This one an huge undead with a tower shield as large as its body. The sent of death emanated from it and all of the knights realized that this was what made the cry
Before anyone could truly react the Paladin shot forward like a silver bullet, slicing through the knights with ease.
Londes wasn't able to try to think of what to do before for he was another body on the ground
As Momonga entered the town square he saw Yamaiko caring for the villagers.
"Were are they?" Momonga asked
"Right now they're looking for survivors."
"I- thank you for what you did but who are you?" A person who looked like the village's chief asked
"I am Momonga, we saw this village under attack, and decided to help."
He saw relief but also suspicion
'Are they still, suspicious of us? We just saved their lives!' Ulbert complained
'Let me try something.' Momonga said
"Of course this will not be free."
The suspension from their faces disappeared but the worry remained
'What could they give us of any worth?" Ulbert asked
'We need information, so we can just ask for that. They probably don't know much but we can get some things.' Tabula responded
'Or women.' Peroroncino suggested
'No' the three others responded firmly
"With the village like this I-"
"We will talk about that later when my companions get back."
After Touch Me and Takemikazuchi got back, and Touch Me almost lost it at how they were asking for money from them, they learned what they could from the village chief. When Momonga and Tabula left his home Peroroncino sent a message to all of the Supreme Beings
'Theirs a band of... Warriors I guess you would call them. Ununiform gear but it's descent quality and the symbol of the Baharuth Empire on their armor.'
'Threat level?' Takemikazuchi asked
'Low.'
'Keep an eye on them for now. When they get here we'll ask what they are doing.' Yamaiko suggested
At that moment a villager approached then and said "chief they're ready for the burial…"
"Oh..."
The Chief looked to the Supreme Beings, his eyes begging for their approval.
"It's fine, go ahead." Touch Me said
"Thank you." He replied moving with the rest of the village to the graves
The Supreme Beings watched the funeral from a distance, some sympathetic, same angry, all wishing in some way that they could have done something more to help
'Can't we revive them?' Touch Me asked
But the same answer as before answered him 'they wouldn't survive the process.'
They had all lost a loved one like this before, for some several, but now they had the power to do something
They then noticed Albedo beside a Eight Edge Assassin. Takemikazuchi went over to them
"Why are you here?" He asked the Eight Edge Assassin
"I wish to pay my respects to you Supreme Beings. Oh how my soul is-"
"Enough of that, I mean why are you here in the first place?"
"Lord Momonga told us to come here. We are prepared to assault the village at any time."
'Momonga why did you have people gather for an assault?'
'ASSAULT?' Touch Me asked
'So that's the game your playing.' Ulbert said
'No! No! I didn't tell them to get ready to assault this place! I told them to get ready to support us if need be!'
"Theirs no need for an assault, the problem has been taken care of. How many of you are their?" Momonga asked butting into the conversation as the others listened in from the side
"Their are four hundred vassals beside myself, lady Bukubukuchagama, Aura,and Mare are our commanders. Demiurge and Shalltear remain in Nazarick on alert, while Cocytus is supervising Nazarick's perimeter security."
"Too many cooks spoil the broth, everyone but Chagama, Aura, and Mare are to fall back. How many of you Eight Edge Assassins are there?" Takemikazuchi said
"Their are fifteen of us in total."
"Then you can stay with them."
After the funeral the Supreme Beings saw the chief talking to some other villagers, but he seemed stressed
"Is something wrong?" Yamaiko asked
Relief flashed the chief's face "yes It would seem there are some mounted people who look to be warriors approaching us…"
"Ah don't worry about that, we already know of them. For now just gather all of the survivors into the Village Chief's house right now. The Chief and us will remain here." Tabula replied
A bell rang, and the villagers gathered. The Death Knight took up a position near the Chief's house, while Albedo remained beside it, awaiting orders.
Seeing the chiefs unease Yamaiko tried to calm him by saying "don't worry, we will make an exception and handle this for free."
The chief calmed down significantly and focused on the task at hand
As the group reached the village the person who seemed like their leader dismounted and carefully looked at each of them
'What's he doing?' Peroroncino asked
'We look strange and possibly threatening. He's checking to see if any of us are a threat or just to see our reaction to him.' Takemikazuchi said
Then the man spoke "I am the Warrior-Captain of the Re-Estize Kingdom, Gazef Stronoff. By order of the King, I have been visiting each of the frontier villages to exterminate knights from enemy countries who have been making trouble here."
Their was some commotion from the chiefs house
"Who is he?" Tabula asked
"According to the traders, he claimed the championship of the martial arts tournament held before the King, and now he leads the elite warriors who are loyal to the King."
'He sounds important. This could be trouble.' Yamaiko said
"You must be the chief of this village. Can you tell me who the people beside you are?"
Before the chief could answer him Momonga stepped in "Their is no need for that. Pleased to meet you, Warrior-Captain, we are Ainz Ooal Gown. We saw that this village was being attacked by knights and decided to step in."
'Who are you and what did you do with Momonga?' Ulbert asked not believing that this was the Momonga that he remembered
'Ya this is nothing like you.' Takemikazuchi said
'Guys, I have no idea what I'm doing. help me!'
'Sure you don't, "Momonga"' Yamaiko replied
While everyone was laughing at Momonga, Gazef bowed deeply to the Supreme Beings
"Thank you for saving this village. I have no words that can adequately praise your kindness."
Both the Supreme Beings and the chief were surprised by his actions. From this one move both could tell what kind of man he was, for him to bow to a nobody like them
"Please, do not stand on ceremony. In truth, we did this for payment, so no thanks is needed."
"a payment? Does this mean that you are an adventurer?"
"That is close enough to the truth."
"You must be an extraordinary adventurer, then. Although, forgive my ignorance, but I have not heard of you before."
"We were traveling, and just happened to pass by. we are nobody famous."
"Though I regret having to waste the time of such a great adventurer, could you please tell me about the knights who attacked this village?"
"Of course. Most of them should be dead, so you won't have to worry about them for now."
"Dead? Did you kill them?"
"More or less." Peroroncino said with a hint of pride in his voice
Gazef seemed shocked at what he said
Trying to cover up for his mistake Tabula said "well we didn't do all of it."
Realizing what he was saying Gazef looked at the [Death knight]
'Why did you say that? It makes us look weak' peroroncino asked
'Because we need to keep our power on the down low for now. We know that these people are weak but their could be other more powerful people, other players, or even [World class enemies]. We need to be careful' Tabula said
"I have some questions, what is that?"
"It is a servant I created" Momonga replied
"Why are you covering your faces?"
"They are magic items."
"Can you remove them?"
"I'm afraid we must refuse. It would not be good if we lost control of him." Momonga said gesturing to the [Death Knight]
The air seemed to tense somewhat
"I see, then best we-"
Interrupting Gazef a horseman ran into the square
"Warrior-Captain! We've sighted a lot of people around the village! They've surrounded the village and they're closing in!"
'How's it look?' Takemikazuchi asked
'There's a large group of divine magic casters surrounding the village. They've summoned many [Archangel Flames] and one [Principality of Observation].' Peroroncino replied
'That's pretty strong by this worlds standers.' Tabula said 'who could have sent them?'
"There are divine magic casters, mostly second tier but their leader is third tier. Do you know who could have sent them?" Tabula asked Gazef and the chief
"The only place that could deploy that many divine magic casters is the Theocracy. Damn I guess this really was a trap."
"What do you mean?" Touch Me asked
"Despite my status I use to be a commoner and so a lot of the nobility have it out for me. They probably sold me out to the Theocracy. Without my usual gear I won't be able to defeat that many people."
The other Supreme Beings know what Touch Me was about to do, but they couldn't allow that
'Touch, don't.' Takemikazuchi said simply
'WHY?! We can't just leave them to die!'
'We won't, but we can't reveal our true power to him ether. Give him an [Exchange Puppet, and tell him that we we won't help him but will protect this village."
'Fine.'
"I must ask, if it is all right with you, would you be willing to let me hire you? You may name your price and I will meet it."
"I'm afraid we will have to refuse."
The others could practically feel the pain in Touch Me's voice as he said that, but it went unnoticed by the others in the room
"Even the loan of that knight would be fine."
"…I must refuse that as well."
"I see… then, what if I conscripted you, in accordance with the Kingdom's laws?"
"You would never do that. I have meet many corrupt people, but you are not one of them."
Gazef smiled sadly "you are right. Even if I wanted to we would be wiped out before fighting." He took a deep breath "and I know it is very selfish of me and I have no authority to make you do anything… but I hope you can protect the villagers here, just one more time. Right now, I have nothing to give you, but I hope that no matter what, you will heed my plea… I beg you. If you should ever visit the Royal Capital, I will give you anything you desire. I swear this on the name of Gazef Stronoff."
He made to kneel before Touch Me stoped him
"Do not worry, we will protect this village. I swear that on the our of Ainz Ooal Gown."
After hearing that Gazef finally relaxed "thank you, then all I have to do is charge ahead."
"Before you do that, please take this with you." Touch Me said handing him an [Exchange Puppet]
"If it is a gift from you then I will gladly accept it. Thank you and goodbye... I just realized that you never told me your name."
The Supreme Beings simultaneously realized how this was going to sound for someone to be named "Touch Me"
Gazef thought that he may have angered them before Ulbert said "oh yes, tell him your great and mighty name!" With sarcasm so thick even a deaf person could hear it
The other Supreme Beings could barely hold back their laughter as Touch Me meekly said "Touch Me."
"W-what?" Gazef asked thinking he misheard him
"My name is Touch Me."
Gazef and all of the other villagers that over heard him simply had a blank stare on their faces, as they learned what one of their saviors name was
"Th-then thank you sir uh Touch Me?"
"Just... call me Touch."
Gazef relaxed somewhat at the slightly less weird name
"Th-then I bid you goodbye." Gazef said doing his best to regain his composure
"Goodbye." Touch Me replied as the laughter of his companies faded behind him
Gazef looked over to the angels that surrounded the village as he rode towards them
His house buckled under him. It knew it was going to die.
Gazef kept calm. This was his only chance to win. He had no archers or casters, so he needed to get as close as possible as quick as possible
He shouted his orders to his troops, most of whom would die today. "Hit the enemy hard and draw in the sentries from around the village. After that, fall back immediately. Do not hesitate and miss your chance to flee." An excited shout meet his voice, they would not have any other chances
When he got near his horse stoped moving, grounding a halt before flinging him from its back. Mind control. He felt stupid for not expecting this. His horse had no defense against it and was an easy target
The warriors that saw him fall, turned to help him but many of their horses did the same thing his did.
The angels were closing in and they had no time to help him. "Forget me, go! This is your only chance!"
He saw some of this troops leaving but had no time to relax. He activated several of his martial arts as they closed in. He slashed through angel after angel but they kept coming and his mind was screaming at him.
He knew he would die but he was glad that the village and some of his warriors would survive. That was until he saw several figures approaching from the distance. As they neared him he saw that they were the warriors that had escaped. 'What a bunch of idiots' he thought, but despite that he was still glad to see them return.
The fight raged on, but the angels kept coming. He was forced his knees by the attacks, the enemy commander shouted out. "Now, finish him off, but do not send in one angel. Use them all to ensure he is dead."
"Gaaaaaaah! Don't look down on me—!" Gazef said as he stood up using his sword to support himself. His muscles burned and his mind wavered but stood he did
"I am the Warrior-Captain of the Re-Estize Kingdom! I am a man who loves and defends his country! How can I lose to bastards like you who stain my country with your footsteps!?"
"You will die here because all you can do is babble that nonsense." His foe sneered at him "it is a shame that someone with your talents is stuck as an idiot like you. If you truly loved your country then you would have surrendered long before now. Instead all you have bought them is a fear filled stay of execution. After we kill you we will massacre the villagers you oh so kindly saved."
"Ha...ha... ha ha ha!" Gazef started laughing
His foe thought him insane "have you finally broke?"
"Ha ha... you fool, In that village… are people who are far stronger than me. Their power is unfathomable, and one of them could kill you all by themselves… Trying to kill… the villagers they protect… is impossible for you."
"People stronger than the Kingdom's greatest warrior? Do you think boasting like that will do you any good? You truly are an idiot."
Gazef could only smile. Just what face would he have when he meet Ainz Ooal Gown? If he saw that it would be the best gift for him before he goes to the afterlife
"Angels, kill him."
The angels swarmed towards him. He prepared himself for the pain that he would feel, before a voice sounded in is head
'Looks like it's about time to switch'
The seen before him changed, from the blood soaked fields, to the inside of a house
"W-where?" He asked as he and his warriors were comprehending what had happened
"This is the house that Momonga used his magic to protect. They were standing where you are but then they vanished."
Gazef realized what happened, and pulled out the item that Touch Me had given him. It disappeared as he did so
Gazef let himself relax, and collapsed to the ground. He had no need to worry. His opponents fate was already sealed when they decided to attack this village. All he had to do now was wait
