EPISODE 7: A SECRET? A RISK? YUMI'S CONFUSION!

Yumi sat in silence, observing the battle as Sora tried to talk to her.

'So where are you from?'

'J- just around here. You?'

'Actually, from out of town! All the way from Paradise City!'

'Paradise City? As in, the place where L.D.S is?'

'Yeah!'

Yumi sat back, thinking. 'Isn't that the same place where Yuya lives too?'

'D-d-do you know about Yuya Sakaki?' She asks, nervously.

Sora 's smile widens 'Of course I know Yuya! I've known him for five years now!'

'E- EH!?' Yumi yelps, quite loudly, as Rinne frowns.

'Quiet down, young lady! She calls, still shuffling her deck.

'Why are you asking?' Sora asks, confused.

'Well...' Yumi debates telling Sora about the Odd-Eyes Synchron. 'I-I've just looked up to him. That's all!'

Rinne eyes Yumi, thinking about what she's said. 'Look up to? A duelist like Yuya Sakaki? What's there to look up to? All that matters in dueling is the winning, and Yuya stretches on his duels for the sake of 'Entertainment.''

She looks away from Yumi, as Yumi starts pestering Sora with questions.

'I'll surely teach this girl a lesson...'

The duel ends, and Rinne and Yumi walk onto the stage.

'I'll be sure to end things fast, little girl.' Rinne taunts, activating her Duel Disk as the surrounding changed into a Sorcerous Spell Wall (AUTHOR'S NOTE: *laughs in real-life Yugioh card reference*), a massive magical Une with many runes becoming steps for the duellists

On separate platforms that floated in the air, Rinne starts.

'I activate Eldlixr of the White destiny which allows me to summon ELDLITCH, THE GOLDEN LORD to the field!'

The field is dominated, once again, by a MASSIVE GOLDEN GIANT, roaring through his helmet-like face.

'However, I activate Eldlixr of Black Awakening to summon DOOMKING BALDEROCH in defence position!'

Immediately, Yumi realises something's wrong. 'Is this the same play as last time?'

A black void appears, disappearing to reveal a massive snake-like with a bone like upper body, golden spikes and veins running across his body, holding a staff

'Now, I normal summon Fallen of Allbaz, and activate BRANDED FUSION!

A white haired, red scarfed, vampiric man appeared onto the field, only to blur together with Eldlitch, creating a red and blue portal.

'I FUSE ELDITCH WITH ALLBAZ!'

'COME FORTH TO THE FIELD AND SHOW YOUR MAGNIFICENCE THOUGH YOUR NEW FORM!'

A dragon, flaming head to toe, branded with a mark on the chest, roared its way out of the portal.

'FUSION SUMMON! LEVEL 8, ALBION THE BRANDED DRAGON!'

'And using its effect, I can fusion summon by banishing from my Graveyard and Field!

'I BANISH DOOMKING AND ALBAZ!'

Doomking disappears into another portal

'COME FORTH, FROM THE BLUR, AND SHOW YOUR SHINING ICICLE SCALES!

'Yumi realises something is wrong, however, before she can point it out, she kneels back, in sudden pain. Her stomach aches.

'Shoot,' she said, remembering her not finishing her Protein Bar.

FUSION SUMMON! LEVEL 8, MIRRORJADE ICEBLADE DRAGON!'

The dragon, coated in icicles and fissures, appears on the field.

'I end my turn'

Yumi draw, and freezes, looking at her hand. 3 Copies of Magistus Virita, an Ash Blossom, a Forbidden Droplet and a Zoroa. 'Bricks,' she thought.

(AUTHOR'S NOTE: Bricking means that you drew card you can't use.)

'Y-you're doing the same thing again!' She says, slightly struggling.

Rinne sighs 'What a sore loser. Blaming you opponent for losing.' She smiles, evilly.

Yumi looks to the Audience, to where Mirai is sitting. 'What's the probabilitiy of her drawing the exact same cards again you gotta find out what's wrong, right!?'

'Just admit you've lost' Rinne taunts, as Mirai touches an earpiece, calling someone.

Yumi, angrily summons Zoroa, the red-haired Magician.

'I ACTIVATE ZOROA'S EFFECT, CHAINING THE EFFECT OF FORBIDDEN DROPLET AND MAGISTUS VIRITA!

I DISCARD A CARD FROM MY HAND, HALVING THE ATTACK OF TWO CARDS FROM MY HAND, AND HALVE THE ATTACKS OF BOTH YOUR DRAGONS!'

The droplet drops on the battlefield, as the monsters struggle.

'NOW, I EQUIP ZOROA WITH NINARURU AND AIWASS!'

The staff and glass madam floated around him, in Chibi.

'I CAN ATTACK YOU TWICE, AND THE ATTACK OF ZOROA INCREASES INTO 2500!'

'NOW, ZOROA! UNBREAKABLE MAGIC BURST!'

The magician fired his flames, destroying the branded Dragon.

RINNE:7000

'AGAIN, UNBREAKABLE MAGIC BURST!'

RINNE: 5750

It's Rinne's turn, and she doesn't even draw

She's too angry to draw.

'GAAAH! YOU THIRD RATE DUELIST!' She starts screaming 'YOU THINK YOU CAN INSULT MY STRATERGY AND THEN USE SOMETHING LIKE THAT!? CHEATER!'

Yumi stands back, reminded of her grandmother's rage moments during her childhood, 'I-y-you-I'

'SHUT UP! SOMEONE TURN OFF THE SOLID VISION! THIS WOMAN'S CHEATING!'

Yumi clutched her head with her hands, shaking, as the pain from her stomach caused her to fall onto the ground of the rune she was standing on, crouching to get away from the ranting, when suddenly, the solid Vision shuts down, the platforms turning into floating iron platforms and a voice talks over the computer.

'DEAR DUELISTS, WE HAVE DISCOVERED THAT RINNE MINORU WAS STACKING HER CARDS, AND HAD HACKED HER DUEL DISK TO NOT AUTO-SHUFFLE HER DECK CORRECTLY.

THIS WAS COUGHT ON THE SECURITY CAMERAS, AND WE WILL NOW PLAY THE FOOTAGE FOR YOU.'

The screen turned into a monotonous video, Rinne stacking her cards behind Yumi and Sora as they talked.

Rinne stared in shock, as Yumi stood up, hiding her eyes behind the two strips of hair. The two of them were let down by the platforms.

'Th-that's a lie! I-it isn't true- '

'SHUT UP!' Yumi screams, showing her eyes, red with tears of rage. 'YOU... CHEATING B#T#H!'

The audiences' whispers silenced at Yumi cursing.

'YOU… DISCGRACED THE RULES OF THIS GAME… JUST, JUST GO!'

Yumi sat down beside Sora, crying silently as Mirai made announcements

'Why did I get so angry… over this?' She thought, as Sora pulled out a lollipop from his pocket handing it to Yumi.

'Hope it calms you down.' He said, as Yumi put it in her mouth, breathing heavy.

'And so,' Mirai said. 'Yumi Hito will duel with Mikan, as I will duel the other, and the winners will face each other. I will go first. It seems one of our Duelists isn't at 100% yet…'

''If I have to duel her, I'm going to duel her at 100…' Mirai thought, as he said this.

Yumi stayed in her place, watching the clashing lights of the arena, now a Machine docking Bay, as she pondered to herself, biting the Lollipop.

'What was that? Why...' she thought, hugging her knees. 'I was thinking of grandma, and then…

"YOU… CHEATING B#T$H"

'Why did I say those things?'

Sora noticed Yumi's panic, and he put his hand on his shoulder 'We all have those moments, It's no big deal.' He remembered his own moment

"YOU… XYZs SCUM!"

'We all get over these moments, one way or another…'

Yumi found herself calmed down, as she continued biting on the lollipop

'Hey, don't bite them! You're supposed to suck them until they melt!'

Yumi quickly put it in her mouth, only to drop it when Blue-Eyes dealt the final attack.

Yumi stood on the field, Ryuru Mikan in front of her.

'Saw your snap,' Mikan saysn confidently, and without mocking. 'My dad runs a therapy place.'

Yumi tried the best she could to shake off her insecurities, and stood tall. 'No Thanks!'

The battle field was once again, Sorcerous Spell Wall, and Mikan goes first.

'I summon Incredible Ecclesia, the Virtuous!'

A blonde adventurer appeared.

'I'll set a card and end my turn!'

The card appears on the ground.

Yumi draws, jumping down and looking for cards.

'I summon Zoroa, the Magistus of Flame!'

'Then, activate Trismagistus! It's second effect allows me to special summon Crowley, the Magistus of Grimoires!'

'I TUNE THEM TOGETHER!'

They turned into circles, and the Titan appeared once again.

'SYNCHRO SUMMON! ZOROA, THE MAGISTUS CONFRANGANT CALAMITY!'

'I EQUIP HIM WITH AIWASS, THE MAGISTUS SPELL SPIRIT, AND THEN USE MAGISTUS THEURGY IN MY HAND TO EQUIP HIM WITH ANOTHER AIWASS, MAKING HIS ATTACK 4900!'

The staff floated around him, as usual.

'Setting two cards, I enter battle phase! GO, TWIN ULTIMAGIC BURST!

The magician braced his hands together, magic bursting from them as the two staffs fired extra beams into his flame, making it burn blue.

MIKAN: 2600

'I end my turn.' Yumi snatches up a card from the ground.

'This is going surprisingly good...' Yumi thinks, looking at the action card in her hand, confidence returning.

Mikan draws. 'it's here!' he thinks.

'I activate the effect of Gameciel, the Sea Turtle Kaiju! I can summon him to you r field using Zoroa as material!'

'What!?'

The massive sea dragon appeared on Yumi's field, Zoroa gone

'And, because of his effect, I get to summon from my hand!

COME, DISTRUPTED BEAST OF THE DARKNESS!

'Just like in the shows as kid, two Kaijuus are about to battle it out!' He thought.

LET'S RUMBLE!

RADIAN, THE MULTIDIMENSIONAL KAIJU!'

a dark, shadowy massive monster appeared, roaring.

NOW, OUR KAIJUS ARE READY TO RUMBLE! GO, SHADY INTERDIMENSIONAL BURST!'

The kaiju let out a chest beam, from its white chest core

YUMI: 7400

'I end my turn!'

Yumi draws, still a little shocked at the events of the last turn. She looks out at the field, at the massive Kaiju staring back at her, as she smiles, and draws.

'I destroy Trismagistus to summon Zoroa back to the field!'

Zoroa returns, as the card destroys itself

'B-but rumble!'

'Now, Battle phase!'

The Kaiju begins charging a hydro-cannon from its mouth

'COME ON….' Yumi pauses to think of an attack name, and Mikan speaks up.

'It's supposed to be 'Hydro Ultraburst'

Yumi smiles a little further 'okay then, HYDRO ULTRABURST!'

'I activate my face-down KAIJU CAPTURE MISSION! I CHANGE YOUR MONSTER FACE-DOWN AND 1 KAIJU COUNTER ON IT- '

'THEN ZOROA! FLAMES OF ULTIMATIUM!'

'Cra-'

MIKAN: 2500

I end my turn!

Mikan draws.

'I ACTIVATE POT OF EXTRVAGENCE! IT ALLOWS ME TO DRAW 2 CARDS

BY BANISHING 6 FROM MY EXTRA DECK!'

(AUTHOR'S NOTE: *laughs in pot of greed reference*)

The pot appears, two cards coming out of it.

'YES! I ACTIVATE THE KAIJU FILES, ADDING A KAIJU TOKEN TO IT, BECAUSE I SPECIAL SUMMON THUNDER KING THE LIGHTNINGSTRIKE KAIJU!'

'NOW I HAVE A MONSTER WITH 3300 ATTACKS ON THE FIELD!'

'GO, THUNDER KING RAMPAGE!'

A three-headed Wyvern, mechanical and shining with gold gems roared a Yumi. Mirai in the crowd is secretly smiling.

YUMI: 7000

Go ahead, cause' I end my turn!'

Yumi draws, confidently, only to fall a few inches off of her platform. The stomach aches were back.

Confidently still, Yumi stands up and starts playing. 'I SET A CARD, THEN ACTIVATE POT OF AVARICE! IT ALLOWS ME TO DRAW TWO CARDS!

BY SHUFFING

- CROWLEY

- THE TWO AIWASSI

- REGULAR ZOROA

- AND SYNCHRO ZOROA

INTO THE DECK!'

The pot appears, and the cards come out again.

'NOW, I SUMMON ZOROA, THE MAGISTUS OF FLAME FROM MY HAND, ACTIVATING THE ACTION CARD: double attack! IT BOOST ZOROA'S ATTACK T0 4500 UNTILL THE END PHASE!'

The regular Zoroa appears, and grunts, as a cartoon sword appears in his hand.

'NOW I ACTIVATE MAGISTUS THEURGY TO EQUIP AIWASS TO HIM, GOING ALL THE WAY TO 3000!'

'I SWITCH MY KAIJU INTO ATTACK POSITON! NOW, ZOROA! EXTREME ULTIMATE FLAMES!'

The flaming magician waves his sword, glowing in blue, as he jumps into the air and strikes the Kaiju down in one swing.

MIKAN: 1800

'NOW, ATTACK! HYDROBURST ULTRA!'

The Kaiju prepped up, but Mikan's not done!

'I ACTIVATE MY KAIJU- '

'I ACTIVATE SOLEMM JUDGEMENT! IT ALLOWS ME TO NEGATE THAT ACTIVATION, WITH HALF OF MY LIFEPOINTS! NOW GO!'

An old man appeared, and pointed, as the card shut its effect down.

The Kaiju Attacked at Mikan's feet.

MIKAN: 0

Mikan falls back hard, as the hologram room shuts down.

Mikan sat beside Yumi, as the arena went silent, the computer allowing a break.

'That was awesome! Be sure to drop by my dad's therapy place if oy need to!'

Yumi shrugged, till hurting from her empty stomach. 'Oka- '

The computer's voice echoed across the arena

'FOR THE FINAL DUEL, THE LIFE POINTS WILL BE 8000. NOW, WILL YUMI HITO AND MASTER KAIBA COME TO THE FIELD?

Mirai stood on the field, hand by his sides, as he stared Yumi dead in the eyes.

'FACE ME, HITO!'
