When Marie open that door she felt a icy sensation as in her line of sight; Sitting at the back table with laughters filling the atmosphere, the one and only Ed's with Double D now there along with his girlfriend. She walk back to her seat as she pass Lee who eye brow raise up as she sat down, not liking the way her sister was staring at her. "You finally showed up Lee, what's the point of dressing up if we'll be here for a bit." Marie internally regretting this decision of habitual sass 'Oh, no.' as Lee turn to her giving her a big grin. "Didn't take that long. Been here for a while actually, must of been a mean shit Marie!" Marie jolting on Lee loud voice hoping no one heard that, she knew that obvious answer as everyone had become silent; that didn't matter to her only a single person 'Please don't be looking at me now' just to make sure peeking at Double D and Nazz facing her from the commotion.

"Sheesh Lee, thanks for putting the spotlight on me." Whispering to her best of ability, her mood sour by the moment not enjoying any of the eavesdropping silence 'Why these asshole's so nosy, start your yapping already.' Feeling herself about to lose her temper in this small crowded diner. "Damn it's quiet in here!" She didn't expect it to be a voice she did her best to ignore breaking the silence. She watch as Eddy got up from his seat turning to everyone in the room. "Anyone got a song they recommend me playing on the Jukebox." As he went to the machine at the corner, bringing attention toward him. 'You obviously did that for me, why?' She thought no one was going to say anything as no one spoke, few second revealing the opposite somehow getting suggestions from everybody in the room and Marie zoning out at his face as he talk, she would of eventually look away on her own and didn't have anything to do with Lee clearing her voice as her eyes pierce at her. "What Lee?"

The silent room no longer as a song played from simple mind, relieving Marie with people chatting about whatever. Marie knew Lee had something on her mind 'It's all over your face Lee.' preparing herself from her sister who kept her intense stare, about to open her mouth. "That was nice of Eddy," May interrupting Lee as she twiddle with her fingers "He probably didn't enjoy the silence either." looking at her May smiling to her to point to what shock Marie as she saw it. "Got us three sundaes, a special treat for us Kankers. Let's dig in!" This didn't seem right for Marie. "Where you get the money May?Not complaining but you know." Trying to get Lee to join in the conversation turning to her "Well," still kinda hesitant to look Lee in the eyes as her sister spoke. "Apparently May been saving up for this special occasion, we're both on sync though."

Whatever had bother them, after a few scoops of the sundaes Marie and her sisters seem to be back to their usual selves. 'So good' Her taste buds overloading on the sweetness she even forgotten till now why she didn't want to show up at this time. 'Guess ice cream isn't such a cliche to washing my sadness away.' She couldn't help to smile and for some reason her curiosity got to her as she look to see that Eddy is smiling at her. They both went eye wide with surprise and Eddy seem to shy away, at that moment Marie knew who got the sundaes. She began to worry about her sister Lee seeing her, May and her seem to be occupied in something else "What the hell is that May?!" Lee yelling in disgust at Whatever May had found while on her phone she didn't want to know, laughing at her sister reaction.

Eddy sat there in disbelief, 'She looked at me,' Doing his best to control himself from his happiness. 'Her smile got my heart jumping I couldn't help it.' He sat there long enough smiling not saying anything to notice his friends, waiting for him to get out his love trance. Eddy watch as Double D sipped at his large shake, putting it down rubbing at his forehead from the obvious brain freeze. "That's great news Eddy. You're genuine approach got results and knowing Lee, she will react hostile if she knew it was you." Eddy nodding in agreement wincing at the idea of having her know, she's definitely going overboard lately and Marie doesn't deserve to be hated for something she's not at fault. Ed seem to want to put his own two cents on the situation seeing from the immense concentration. "Eddy, Someone will always end up getting hurt…but love is a pain worth experiencing."

Eddy didn't expect that. "You're right Ed. It can really hurt but not knowing can hurt more." Listening to background noise Eddy felt the night hadn't calmed anyone in here. Hearing a sound he wasn't use to during these hour's, he grab his phone to see he receive a message and knew life was really throwing him a curve ball. 'Hey Eddy.' He saw that it was Marie from her social media account. "You alright Eddy?" His expression stuck for a little making sure before to signal to his friends to get closer; whispering to them.

"Guys, don't want to be to hopeful but Marie just sent me a message." Eddy taking a quick glance to her typing in real time. His heart and body melting into how surreal the situation felt 'This is actually real, I'm not dreaming?' Here's my number, meet me tonight." Nervous trying to control himself doing his best not to see if she was watching him, knowing another extra pair of eyes might join in. Eddy heard a voice clear their throat and it being his friend's girlfriend, "It must be good news Eddy," Double D nodding in agreement. "Be genuine when you're both alone together and if she doesn't want you. It's her loss." His friends really did care for him, knowing Nazz is right with this maybe being his only chance. His voice lowering enough for them to hear. "We're going to meet up tonight."
