In the original universe, sans does not speak with capital letters so I decided not to use them here. Sorry for not making clear for you guys. Thank you all for your support.Anyways, lets start this chapter.
Chapter 2: Beacon.
Sans was sitting on the Beacon's Bullhead. He was sleeping and snoring a bit. He was wearing his clothes from last night but he has a skull half balaclava and a pair of fingerless gloves with boney hand printed on them.
Despite being asleep, he could still people's presence. A blond knight then stumbled somewhere close to him. Sans opened his right eye to see that the knight was about to throw up. He then gave the blond knight a paper bag as he threw up in it.
"Thank you man..." The knight muttered.
"jeez, it's the first day of school and you are already 'spilling your guts'?" Sans asked.
" Yeah, I just,... Wait, did you just pun me?" The knight asked.
"heheheheh, yeah. but seriously though, are you ok?" Sans asked.
"Yes, I'm fine. It's just motion sickness. I'm Jaune by the way. Jaune Arc." Jaune introduced himself.
" i'm sans, nice to meet ya." Sans said as he raised his hand for a handshake.
"Nice to meet you t – " Jaune was then cut off by a fart sound.
"heheheheh, the good ol' woopie cushion in the hand trick. it gets people all the time." Sans chuckled.
"Uhhh,... Right." Jaune finished.
The Bullhead landed shortly after. Jaune then quickly ran out of it and start vomiting into the nearest trash can. Sans was looking for Yang and Ruby.
He then found Yang sprinting away with a group of a friends, leaving behind a socially awkward Ruby to stumble onto a white haired princess. The girl was wearing a blue dress with a rapier on the left side of her hip. Ruby was continuously apologizing and the other girl was shouting at her non-stop.
'guess i should help Ruby then.' Sans thought as he teleported behind Ruby, suprising the other girl and making Ruby yelped.
"heya, that's a bit harsh on her, don't ya think?" Sans started.
"A BIT HARSH!? This irresponsible dolt almost blew me off this school by knocking my dust case over! Do you not know how dangerous dust is when they are active!? There's a good reason why imbeciles such as herself are not allowed to touch them." The princess screamed and pointed at Ruby.
"eh, but she didn't, did she? come on, give the kid a break, princess." Sans told her.
"I can't stand how ignorant you are to the danger here." She shouted.
"then Sit. i understand that it is dangerous but what i fail to understand is why you are so harsh on my friend here. i think you should apologize you entitled brat." Sans was losing his patience.
"Why, you – EEEK" She was cut off by a light beam hitting the ground in front of her.
"i said, apologize." Sans's demanded as two more Gaster Blaster appeared behind him and Ruby.
"S-Sans y-you don't have to..."
"i do actually." He cut Ruby off "now, i expect an apology."
"I... Am sorry." Weiss said as she turned and walked away.
"Pfff, jerk. are you okay?" Sans turned around and looked at Ruby.
" Yeah, I'm fine. Thanks for standing up for me." Ruby sheepishly said.
"Do you know who that was?" A black haired girl with a bow on her head asked.
"don't know, don't care." Sans stated.
"That's Weiss Schnee, the heiress of Schnee dust company, the largest dust company in Remnant. Which also has a lot of mistreatment to labor forces and questionable business partner." She said.
"well goodbye and good riddance." Sans stated.
"Saaaaans, you don't have to be so rude to Weiss." Ruby cried to him.
"sorry Rubes, can't let her bully you. i have a brother who is a lot like you and i do not like anyone who do anything remotely bad to him." He said.
"But I can take care of myself!" She pouted.
"heh, if you could then you wouldn't have been bullied like that." The former skeleton said as he patted Ruby's head, earning a groan from her.
"Can you stop that? You are barely taller than Yang."
"heheh, i'm still a lot older than you." Sans finished as he walked torwards the large campus and Ruby puffed her cheeks before following him.
After walking for a while, he saw the familiar blond knight and walked up to him.
"Where's the – Oh hey Sans!" The knight – Jaune greeted.
"sup." Sans replied.
"Hi! My name is Ruby." Ruby waved her right hand.
"Hey, I'm Jaune." Jaune waved back "So, do you know where the auditorium is?"
"nah, but i can find it. can you two wait here for a while?" Sans asked.
"Sure, I can do that." Jaune answered.
"Same here." Ruby added.
Sans nodded as he teleported away. He used his short-cuts from one room to another to find the auditorium. He finally found the place and saw Yang standing in the crowd. He squinted his eyes before teleporting back to the school yard to find those two.
"Do you know where we are going?" Ruby asked.
"I dunno, I was following you." Jaune answered.
"found it." Sans stated, startling the two.
"Cool, where is it?" Jaune asked.
"i can lead you there." He answered.
"Wait, you can teleport!? I thought you have a storage semblance or a healing semblance!" Ruby shouted.
"i never said i have a storage semblance, but your reaction is 'punderstandable'. it's not every day you get to see such useful semblance. come on, time is 'running shorts' so it's best that we get there now." The former skeleton punned.
"Yeah, we should go now. The speech is starting in five minutes." The little red riding reaper added. The three then made their way to the auditorium.
TIMESKIP
It was nighttime so everyone went to the public bedroom. It was huge so Sans picked a random spot and lay down on the boys side. He pulled down his balaclava and sleep but still keep his guard up. He opened his right eye to see Ruby and Yang walking torwards him. Well, Yang was pushing Ruby torwards him.
"Heyyy, Sansy-boy, I wanted to say thank you for helping my sister back in the schoolyard." Yang started.
"it's no problem." Sans replied.
"So, I have a few question for you. You said you have a brother right? Does that mean you have a family in Patch? If so, where is your house?" She asked.
"that's a lot of personal questions, you know that. but i'm going to answer them anyway. for the first and second question, yes, i did. for the third question, somewhere on Mount Ebott." Sans answered.
Ruby and Yang's jaw dropped.
"You mean, the mountain where nobody returns from!? That is where they sealed the monsters!" Ruby almost yelled.
"You said you 'did' have a family. Did they died after climbing the mountain?" Yang asked.
Silence.
"I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to – "
"s'okay." Sans cut Yang off.
"I have lost a friend who tried to climb the montain too." Ruby stated as he looked up at her face.
"what's their name?" Sans asked.
"Frisk. She is a very nice person." The answer changed Sans attitude from calm to shock in a split second.
"Are you okay?" Yang asked.
"yeah, i'm fine. it's just that she used to be a friend of mine too." That wasn't a lie but it's not the truth either.
Silence filled the room until Ruby's sobbing was heard. Yang hugged her and took her back to her sheets.
"Thank you for being her friend." Ruby muttered as Sans just looked at her.
That night, Sans couldn't sleep. He felt his guilt, his sins crawling on his back. He decided that it was best to go on top of a roof to get some fresh air. The alcohol he brought with him didn't really help because he couldn't feel drunk anymore.
"Trouble sleeping?" A calm and collective tone was heard behind him. Sans turned around to find the headmaster standing a few meters behind him.
"that expression. that's the expression of someone who couldn't find what they are looking for. suffice to say, you look... unsatisfied." Sans stated.
'He can read people's emotion? Interesting.' Ozpin thought to himself.
"No, I am not satisfied. At all." The headmaster said.
"may i ask why?" Sans asked.
"I can't find you in the system. It's like you came out of thin air. You said you came from Mount Ebott in Patch and you have both soul magic as we called aura and pure magic. And from that, I figured out what you truely are." Ozpin stated. Sans's grip on the bottle tightened.
"You must be a monster in a shape of a human. With that much power, I imagine you must have consumed a few souls. No monster that I've known of is as remotely powerful as you. And that look of guilt on your face when miss Rose talked about her friend helped me understand that you have killed her friend and stole their soul. Who else have you killed?" Ozpin glared at Sans and tightened his grip on the cane.
"some hero you are, king of Vale." Sans shot back, making the headmaster eyes widen in shock.
"yeah, i can read ya. Ozpin, Ozwald, Ozball the king of Vale, and Ozma the wizard. man, you have a lot of names. and to answer your question, let me ask you this, Oz. do you enjoy hunting thousands upon thousands of monsters?" Sans retorted.
"I... Did what I have to do." Ozpin answered.
"pffft, hehehehehehe, that's not an answer. but, it's the only one you've got, is it? if it's a necessary sacrifice like what you've said, then you wouldn't mind us killing 7 children to save over a hundred, do you?" Sans asked again.
The headmaster was about to say something but he cut the man off.
"don't answer to that, i don't want to hear it. they are all gone to the last human so you only need to worry about me. see you at the initiation, Ozpin." He said the name in a heavier tone and left the rooftop.
'I should definitely watch him closely.' Ozpin thought to himself.
THE NEXT DAY
Sans was sleeping until Ruby shook him up.
"Sans, Saans! Wake up!"
"huh, what is it?" He asked.
"We are going to be late if you don't hurry up." Yang stated.
"late to... oh yeah, the initiation. i'll be right there." He said as he slowly get up and walked with the two.
"Soooo, uh, are you nervous?" Ruby asked.
"nah, not really. i will finish it as fast as a Beacon of light." Sans punned.
"Stop, STOP!" Ruby demanded.
"Awww, Ruby, don't be so Grimm." Yang teased.
"It's too early for you two to make horrible jokes!" Ruby said.
"nah, it's only ear-ly for you to take them." Sans punned again while Ruby facepalmed.
Emerald forest
Sans could see some students standing on the metal plate thingy and decided to step on one. He then saw the headmaster explaining the rules.
"For years, you have been trained to become warriors. And today, your abilities will be evaluated in the Emerald forest." Ozpin said.
"Now, I know many of you have heard the rumors about the assignment of teams. Allow us to put an end to your confusion. Each one of you will be given teamates... Today." Glynda stated.
Some people were suprised by that statement, but not a welcoming one.
"These teamates will be with you for the rest of your time in Beacon. So, pick someone you could work well with. With that being said, the first person you make eye contact with will be your partner for the next 4 years." The headmaster added.
"What!?" Ruby's eyes widen.
"Told ya." An orange haired girl dressed in pink told a black haired boy in a green long sleeved shirt and white pants.
"Once you have found your partner, make your way to the North side of the forest. There, you will find an ancient temple where you will retrieve an artifact. You will find Grimms on the way there so don't hesitate to kill them or you will die. Any question?" Ozpin said. Nobody raised their hands except for Jaune.
"Good, let us begin." The headmaster completely ignored him.
"Sir, I have one question. How are we going to get there again?" Jaune asked.
"You will be launch there." Ozpin deadpanned.
"So, you will give us parachute or something?" The blond knight asked again.
" No, you will be falling. You have to use your own landing strategy."Ozpin answered.
"So, what's the landing strateGYYyyyy-" Jaune was cut off as he was launch forward.
"you are a sadist, you know that?" Sans said as he was launched next.
"I know." The headmaster said as he sipped his mug.
