Chapter 6: Two hearts, one soul.

Yang slowly got back up after falling on her back. She looked at her sister confusedly before asking.

"Jeez, Ruby. What was that? Are you okay?"

Ruby looked at the striped shirt wearing girl, who was signalling her to be quiet, before turning to Yang.

"Yeah, I'm fine. I just didn't expect to see you here." Ruby sheepishly said.

"What do you mean!? My sister fell unconscious on the floor and you told me not to worry?" Yang asked.

"I'm fine, Yang. I just got really tired suddenly and fell unconscious." Ruby grinned.

"Ruby, are you sure you are alright? JPeople don't get knocked out suddenly like that." Yang said.

"How long have I been asleep?" The little Rose asked her sister.

"Over a day now. Again, are sure you're okay, Ruby? Nothing wrong?" The blond asked worriedly.

"Yeah, I'm sure I'm okay. I don't really feel any negative effect. Where's everyone by the way?" Ruby asked.

"Our team will be coming back from the Forever Fall soon. Let's just get you checked before we head back to our room and get some shut eye, alright?" Yang pointed her thumb at the door.

"Yeah, sounds good." Ruby nodded as she looked at the striped shirt wearing girl who was giving her the thumbs up.

Forever Fall

Pyrrha lowered her right arm as a decapitated Ursa Major's head fell to the ground. She smirked before hearing a familiar voice coming from behind her.

"nice trick. it's the same one you used in our match. polarity, correct?"

"Yeah, I kinda figured that Jaune may need a little assistance." She said.

"yeah," Sans then turned to a certain blond haired boy "he needed a little more confidence. the dude's got guts, at least."

"Let's keep this secret between us, shall we?" Pyrrha asked.

"yeah, i see nothing, i know nothing." Sans winked his left eye.

"Thank you Sans." The Spartan smiled at him.

"don't mention it." Sans turned away as he walked back to the place his team was collecting the tree sap.

He sat down next to a tree and closed his eyes. His right eye flashed red for a moment as he drifted into his sleep.

'it seems that i gotta be honest with Ruby now. dammit, what do i even tell her? that her friend was a megalomaniac? that i killed her? or that she now has the ability to bend fate to her will? what will she think of me? of the monsters? of,... Frisk." Sans thought to himself.

He then opened his eyes to see Blake gently approaching him from his right.

"heya, kitty cat." Sans teased, startling Blake, causing her to reach for her weapon.

"H-How did you know?" She stuttered.

"eh, kinda figured it out." Sans told her half of the truth "i mean, bows don't twitch on their own, you know? and probably your obsession for fish. So, it's quite Fishy."

"Was it that obvious?" Blake shivered.

She thought that she was being discreet but it appeared that it wasn't enough to fool this white haired boy. Which raised even more questions about him.

"so, when are you going to tell your teammates?" Sans suddenly asked.

"I don't think I should tell them. Not now, it's too early." Blake answered.

"why? Cat got your tongue?" Sans joked again, causing Blake to frown.

"Please, stop with the cat pun. Just don't tell them anything yet. Also, someone's coming." Blake said as she turned to her left.

Weiss slowly walked out of the forest with two jars of tree sap. She was not happy, at all.

"These two jars are for Yang and Ruby. Thanks for not helping at all!" Weiss said sarcastically.

"hey, Purrfect timing. My jar is also full." Sans punned, causing the heiress to scowl and Blake to glare at him.

TIMESKIP

Once the three reached Beacon, Sans teleported to his room and laid on his bed. He was tired so he decided to rest before telling Ruby and the team everything. Ruby, on the other hand, was too eager to know everything so when she realised that she was alone in her room, she asked the ghost.

"So, uh, what's your name?" Ruby asked.

"Chara. Chara Dreemurr. You are probably wondering what that scene you saw was, correct?" Chara asked as Ruby nodded.

"Well, it's what happened in the past. If you touch it again, I will help you find out what happened. Though, I will advise you not to blame everything on Sans." She stated again.

"HOW CAN I NOT! Th-That MONSTER killed her! H-He,..." Ruby felt betrayed. The nice, jokester that helped her many times on many occasions was her best friend's killer.

"You don't even know half of the truth. How can you even judge the mons-"

"OH YEAH!? Then WHAT is the truth!? what did Frisk even DO to earn that FATE!? Because I KNOW for a fact that good people don't KILL others! Only those,... Those MONSTERS DO!" Ruby screamed, cutting the striped shirt wearing spirit off.

Chara frowned at that statement. Realising what she had said, Ruby said in an apologetic tone.

"I,... I'm sorry. I didn't mean to-"

"Touch that SAVE point again and I will show you what really happened." Chara advised.

Ruby wiped away her tears and slowly nodded. She opened the door to find the rest of her team, save for Sans, walking towards her. Seeing how red Ruby's eyes were, Yang quickly rushed to her.

"What happened!? Who made you cry!? I swear, I'm gonna,..." Ruby raised her hand, gesturing Yang to be quiet.

"Ruby?" Blake asked.

"Just tell us, Ruby. What's bothering you?" Weiss looked at her partner with a concerned expression.

"It's fine,... I just have a nightmare. I think some fresh air will help." Ruby said as she turned around and walked away.

"I swear, whoever made her cry is going to PAY." Yang's eyes turned red as she stated.

"Let's not jump into conclusion yet, shall we? We don't know if that was someone's doing or not." Blake's words calmed her partner down a bit.

"We should get some rest before we do anything. Right now, I'm too tired to decide anything." Weiss stated.

"Whatever, Ice Queen." Yang said as she entered their room.

Sans stood with his back against the door inside his room. He waited for the three to leave before teleporting away.

TIMESKIP

Ruby was looking at the shining star thoughtfully. She didn't know if she should trust the spirit that was behind Frisk the whole time but also eager to find out what had happened.

"What are you waiting for? You wish to know the truth, don't you?" Chara asked.

"I do,... But, I don't know if I should trust you or not. Sorry." Ruby reluctantly spoke up.

"No need to be sorry. Even I can hardly believe that I'm working with a human. Again." The striped shirt wearing girl shrugged it off.

"Wait, are you a monster? You seem to care for them." The red girl asked.

"No, I am not. And yes, I do care for them. But, that's besides the point. The point is that we should get moving. I want to prove you wrong about the monsters, about Sans." Chara stated.

"Okay,..." Ruby slowly raised her right hand to touch the SAVE point but was blocked by a wall of bones.

"don't ya know that it is rude to touch other people's belongings?" A familiar voice was heard.

Ruby quickly turned around with Crescent Rose out in scythe mode. Sans was standing at the arena's door, unfazed by this. His silver and crimson eyes seemed to be looking at something behind her.

"and hello to you too, princess."

Sorry for the late update. I won't be posting anything for the next two weeks because of my mid-term tests, so sorry guys. Just wait until I come back.
