Fourth chapter of Back From Death! I am really enjoying to write this! I hope Yyou are enjoying it to!Disclaimer: I do not Own The Loud House
The ride home was just as quiet, none of the Loud sisters was in the mood to talk.
Luna watched the landscape through the window of the old van, incredulous at what she had seen at her brother's grave, a huge hole that went straight to the coffin? that was already very strange, plus the fact that it had been dug by an animal and the possibility of having it dug from the bottom up? the whole thing was crazy, Luna thought.
the silence was broken by the ringing of Luna's cell phone, she took it out of her pocket and looked at who was calling her. She almost dropped her phone when she saw the contact photo.
Luan, who was seated next to his qaurto colleague, looked at her curiously.
"What was sis?" 'Asked the comedian. Luna didn't say anything, just turned the screen over so her sister could see who was calling her. Luan's eyes widened when she read the name
"Lincoln?" Whispered Luan, afraid. the sister sisters turned to see Luna in equal shock.
"What?" Asked Lola. Lina turned the phone over to the other sister sisters, all gasped when they saw her late brother's name on the screen, except for Lori who was driving.
"Maybe It's a prank." Spoke Lynn. Luna's eyebrows turned into a Scold
"You're right" She said with a anoyed tone, before answering it.
"Hello? What's this? Why do you have my brother's number?" said Luna anoyed at the prank
"Luna! It's me! Lincoln! You can hear me?" those words froze Luna. Her eyes started to tear up. Then, the sorrow started to ignite rage at the prank.
"This is a joke?" The sisters watched luna without knowing what she heard. "you're joking with me?" sensing what was coming, the older sisters rushed to close the younger's ears "FUCK YOU! My brother is dead! This is not funny!" She stopped to breath and the person on the other end spoke.
"Wait Luna! I'm-" Luna cuted him off.
"Go to hell! Never call me again you shit!" she spoke before ending the call. She looked to the others who were dumbfounded at Lun's behavior.
"So..." Began Leni. Who it was?"
"Some fart head that said he was Lincoln!" Everyone including Lori this time, gasped at what she said.
"I can't believe the audacity of that shit head!" Spoke Lynn angrily. Everyone agreed at her, everyone except Lucy, who stood silent, thinking.
When they arrived at the Loud house, Lynn Sr. Had already prepared lunch for the family. The Loud children proceeded to take seats at the table, and started to tell their parents what happened at the cemetery and the trip back home.
"I can't believe that something like that could happen in this town." Said the father imagining the hole at the son's grave.
"And some people have a really bad sense of humor." Commented the mother.
Later that day, all Loud kids were doing their own things, Leni, was at the living room, with Lily, both were watching cartoons, Lynn Jr was at the backyard, practicing soccer, Lola was having a tea party with Luan, Lana was playing in a mud puddle in the front yard, Luna, for the first time in the week was riffing on her ax, but not very loud. Lori was in her room, texting Bobby about what happened in the cemetery. Lisa also was in her room, doing her usual science researches.
And Lucy was in the attic, talking to the great-grandmother Harriet portrait.
"And that's with happened great-grandmother." What do you think?" Lucy said, before remaining in silence, as if she expected the portrait to start talking. "Sigh, I don't know what to think either. All the horror tropes that happened today make me uncomfortable, A hole in a grave that was made from bottom up? Like in a zombie movie? And a mysterious phone call that claimed to be him? I don't know what to think, I always believed in the supernatural, but now, that weird things happened, I am scared." Lucy stopped talking. "But..." she paused talking when she heard the attic flip door opening. She gulped. "Who's There?" No responses. She put the portrait back on the old chest and went to see who possibly opened the door. She spoke her head on the corridor, it was desert, and all door were closed. Weird. Lucy got a chill on her spine and leaved the attic.
That night, when everyone were sleeping, Lynn poke his head out of her room, looking with someone were woke. When she assured everyone was sleeping, she sneaked her way to Lincoln's room, she was doing that every night since Lincoln's funeral, at night she would sneak at his room to lay in his bed and cry quietly on his bead sheets. She opened the door of the bedroom, it was dark, and she sitted on the bed, rubbed her hand in the sheets and slowly layed there, starting to sob.
"Lincoln..." she whispered between the sobs. Suddenly, she felt a warm sensation in her shoulder, like someone had placed his hand on it. She flinched and looked back, she only saw the wall. She sniffed again, and placed her head on the pillow again. She closed her eyes.
For some reason that she didn't know, felt less sad, like when you get a wa hug from someone you love. The corner of her lips turned upwards at the sensation.
As she was drifting to sleep, she could swear someone was stocking her hair, but, before she could react, she was asleep.
The next few days were weird in the Loud house. Every habitant had witnessed something weird to them. They often catch Charlie or Cliff looking at some empty corner of the room. Some things were just odd, others were plainly creepy.
Like when Leni was left home alone, she was at her room sewing when she heard a door opening. When she went see what was, the room of Lincoln's room was open. She was creeped a little, and when she went there to close the door, she felt a chill on her spine.
In other occasion, Lola was preparing for another tea party, but couldn't find her favorite doll, she searched her entire room, and even her sibling's rooms. But couldn't find it. When she lost hope in finding it, she went back to her room to continue the tea party without the doll, she found the doll sitting on a little chair, and the tea party was already settled.
Lana would often fell someone looking at her when she was sleeping, Luan occasionally heard chuckles when she was practicing her routine alone in her room. Lisa once found her papers of the research of the cure disorganized in her table. Something that she swear she had put in her files. In some occasions when putting her make up, Lori could see a shape pass behind her, reflected in the mirror. One night, Lynn Sr. Found that the sauerkraut pot was empty. That was odd, since none of his children liked sauerkraut that much, well, besides Lincoln.
All that occurrences culminated in stormy night. Lori had summuned a sibling meeting on her and Leni's room.
"Ok everyone, I think I literally don't need to say why I summuned this meeting, right?" spoke Lori using one of her shoes as a gavel against her desk.
"No need dude, everyone had a share of spooks this week." Said Luna.
"Yes! Things are getting creepy!" Said Lola.
"You are right sis, this week was fearly unusual." Everyone groaned at Luan's pun.
"Well." Started Lori. "What do you all think?"
"I watched enough horror movies, and I'd say, we're haunted." Said Lynn. A thunder illuminated the window outside.
"Don't be silly sis." Said Lana. "That kind of thing doesn't exist... Right?"
"Normally, I don't believe in such nonsense as supernatural. But after all we witnessed in the last week, I'm starting to change my beliefs." Said Lisa.
"I can't believe what I'm gonna say, but that things are creeping even me out." Said Lucy.
"Poo poo!" Added Lily.
"You also noted that our pets are like, acting weird too?" Leni commented.
"Now you said, they really are." Said Lori, scratching her chin, remembering the times she saw Charlie barking at a wall or Cliff looking to a empty room.
"I've read that animals are more sensitivos to spirits." Informated Lucy.
"Well, why a spirit or a ghost would haunt us?" Said Lola.
They all started to discuss why a ghost would haunt them, some believed that they were cursed, some believed that a poltergeist was being all this. They went silent when the bedroom door opened up with a bang. Every of the sisters started to shake, them, in a fraction of seconds, a thunder and a lightning strike, the house energy went off, all sisters screamed.
They all stumped away for their bedrooms, leaving only Lori and Leni on the room.
"Well... Meeting finished. Said Lori starting to prepare herself to bed. Her roommate did the same. Minutes later, Leni was already asleep and Lori was about to go to bed but, as was about to lay on the bed, Lori looked out the windowto the rain outside the street, and saw what was only describable as a silhouette of a kid was out in the rain, in the frontyard, with the rain and darkness, she couldn't recognize who were, without losing eye contact with the person, she picked her phone and activated the flashlight and pointed at the silhouette.
When the light got in the direction, the silhouette vanished, the frontyard was empty. Lori put the phone down, and just went to bed.
Unaware to her, outside her window, the silhouette was looking at her, with her hand placed against the glass.
