Chapter 9: Secrets.
Team RWBY(S) knocked on Sans's door to get him on the Bullhead to downtown Vale. They waited for a few seconds before they heard a call.
"come in!"
Yang was the one who opened the door leading into his room. Ink and Error was in the same room too. Sans was fixing some sort of machine and Ink was painting a picture of a mountainous area while Error was lying on his bed and knitting… A Ruby doll? They could make out Ruby's outfit and red tipped hair from the doll.
"Hey Sans, ready to go?" Yang asked.
"We need to go now in order not to miss the Bullhead." Weiss added.
"yeah,i'll be right there." Sans said as he pushed the machine into his empty closet.
"What about you guys, are you coming too?" Ruby looked at Ink and Error and asked.
"Nah." Error replied.
"I'll pass." Ink answered.
"Your loss." Yang chimed in.
"come on, leave them be. we'll be back soon." Sans said as he looked at Ink and Error.
"Later!" Ink said.
TIMESKIP
Team RWBYS was walking downtown when Sans parted ways with the crew, saying that he needed to buy some clothes. Weiss did offer to pay for him but he declined, saying that he had enough Lien.
The young man walked into a clothes store and tried some clothes on. He didn't really think any outfit would suit him like a hoodie and black pants so he just bought a stack of them. When he made it to the cashier, her eyes widened.
"Are you going to buy all of this, sir?" The cashier asked.
"yup. do you accept g?" Sans asked.
"Gold? We do, sir. This all is about,..." she tapped her calculator a few times before answering "2g sir."
"heh, here you go. can you pack this for me and send this Beacon." Sans said as he took out 2 gold coins out of his pocket and placed it onto the counter.
'this is a lot cheaper tgan stuff from the underground.' The blue jacket boy thought.
"Sorry sir, we don't send packages." The cashier apologized.
"s'okay." the former skeleton said as he snapped his finger and all of his clothes teleported to his bed at Beacon.
The blue jacket boy then walked out of the shop and something caught his attention. The ginger haired girl in a green and white dress along with thigh high sock and black shoes. She had a pink bow on her head that made her look like a doll. What really caught Sans's attention was her soul.
The jokester used "perseverance: Analysis" to strengthen his judgment.

The former skeleton was approaching her but took a step back as a monkey faunus almost hit him. Two police officers were chasing the faunus so he decided to help. Sans flashed his left eye and used his telekinesis to lift the blond boy off the ground as the officers tackled him.
"He got arrested!" A familiar voice was heard behind Sans.
He turned around and saw Weiss lying on top of the girl. The team seemed to notice him but turned their attention at the girl who was on the floor.
"Uh,... Weiss?" Ruby called.
Weiss was startled and quickly got off the girl but she just lay there.
"heya." Sans called out for the girl.
"Salutations!" Penny greeted.
"Are you okay?" Ruby asked.
"I am doing wonderful!" She answered.
"do you wanna get up or do you want us to leave you and the floor alone." Sans joked.
The ginger haired girl looked thoughtfully for a moment before answering.
"I would like to get up." Penny said as she got back on her feet.
"I am Penny. A pleasure to meet you." The mechanical girl introduced herself. The team introduced themselves right after her.
"Hi. I'm Ruby."
"Weiss Schnee."
"Blake."
"i'm sans."
"You sure you didn't hit your head or something?" Yang asked, only to receive Blake's elbow to her side.
"Oof,... I'm Yang."
"It's a pleasure to meet you all." Penny smiled.
"You've already said that." Blake announced.
"So I did." The ginger replied.
"We're sorry for running into you." Weiss said.
"See you later friend." Ruby walked past her.
"cya." Sans followed Ruby and the rest came after him.
After they walked for a short moment before Yang started. Sans did notice that someone was following them so he put his guard up.
"She was weird."
"What did you just say?" Penny somehow appeared in front of them, startling the whole team except Sans.
He knew that the mechanical girl was following them thanks to the power of "perseverance". It allowed Sans to give analysis of a soul's weakness, strength, speed and put a tag on them.
"Oh! I'm so sorry! I didn't know that you were listening!" Yang panicked.
"Not you," Penny turned and pointed to Ruby.
"I,... Uh,... Me? What did I say?" It was Ruby's turn to panic.
"You called me,... Friend. Am I your FRIEND?" The ginger's eyes sparkled.
"Uhhhhh,..." Ruby turned to the crew, who were shaking their heads vigorously and giving her the 'no' signal while Sans gave a thumbs up.
"Sure." Ruby mentally screamed on top of her lungs while the rest of the team facepalmed and Sans was dying laughing.
"SENSATIONAL! We can have sleepovers, paint our nalis and…" At this point, Sans fazed out of existence.
Penny reminded him of Mettaton and Papyrus at the same time. She was a machine with a soul like Metts but her kind nature just screamed Papyrus. Not to mention that she was just as happy as Paps when Frisk befriended him.

Sans couldn't help but think of Papyrus or Frisk. Paps was never oblivious to the genocide route but he had never stopped believing in Frisk despite what had happened. He always hoped that one day, if he was convincing enough, Frisk would turn good again. And she did, but Sans didn't believe her at that moment. Sadly, people with souls of determination can only RESET to the point they got their power and never further so he couldn't save Papyrus, yet. Maybe this time, Frisk will not become a genocidal child anymore. Maybe, he will get the happy ending, for the last time.
"SANS!" Yang called out.
"huh? wh-" Sans blurted out.
"Dude! You fazed out again! Can you just help us stop Blake and Weiss!?" Yang called out.
"*sigh* this is going to be a long day." Sans sighed.
TIMESKIP
"i was wrong. it will also be a long night." Sans complained.
The two hadn't stopped arguing for the whole trip back to the dorm room. Sans had enough of this and decided to step in. Or, he was going to step in until Blake got lost in her anger that she yelled what she was trying to keep a secret for a long while.
"MAYBE WE ARE TIRED OF BEING PUSHED AROUND!" Blake yelled.
Most of the team was shocked by this. Blake then realised what she had said and her expression turned from anger to fear. She tried to sprint away but was continuously teleported back to the place she was standing. Taking advantage of this, Yang held her in a bear hug to stop her from running.
"NO! LET ME GO!" Blake screamed.
"BLAKE!" Ruby yelled at her.
"WE NEED TO CALL - Umph" Sans covered Weiss's mouth with his hand before she could say anything.
"let's not do any unnecessary things, shall we?" The blue jacket boy asked while glaring at her with his burning left eye.
This also caused Blake's instincts to tense up. She wanted to get away from him as soon as possible. Right at this moment, Ink and Error walked in. Error could completely sense Sans's anger boiling like it was going to consume the room while Ink was completely oblivious to it.
The destroyer didn't want to set him off because this is a monster with 7 human souls so his /delete wouldn't work. Error had fought both Original Sans and Seraphim Sans and both times he was ended in a wreck so he didn't want to do it again. Even if this guy is weaker than they are, he didn't want to risk it. Ink was also in the room so there was not going to be any fight
"Sooooo,... Are we interrupting something?" Ink asked.
"nah, nothing important." Sans's anger was cooled down for a bit.
"we are in the middle of a confession game, care to join us?" The blue hood asked.
"Not like I have anything better to do." Error shrugged "Who's first?"
All of them then turned to Blake, who shrunk under their gaze. She wanted this to be a nightmare but everything was real. Blake then shuddered as she slowly explained the reason she was in the White Fang and why it became such a horrible organization. And slowly but surely, everyone sympathized. Silence was then broken by Weiss.
"I just wanted to know one thing. Are you with them anymore?"
"No, but I-"
"Then I don't care. As long as you are not with them, you're fine with me. Just try not to hold such secrets away from us." Weiss cut Blake off.
"Okay." Blake sheepishly said.
"everyone here has things they regret in life. just don't let the burden hold you down too much or it will hurt both you and the people you care about. i speak from experience." Sans said.
"What's your experience? Sorry, I just got curious. Can you tell us anything about your past? Everything we know about you is a blur." Yang asked.
"oh boy" Sans sighed "here's my story."
Damn, another cliffhanger eh? Sorry for posting this so late. My life has been pretty hard lately with the semester test coming. I'll try to post things as usual as possible for you guys so, until next time.
