Seventh Chapter Of Back From Death! The Santiago signings and Mrs. Casagrande are coming to Royal Woods to make a seance to communicate with ghost that is haunting the Loud house! I hope you enjoy!Disclaimer: I do not own The Loud House
Lincoln slept calmly on his bed. The usual noises of the house and it's habitants were oddly relaxing for him. He noticed, for the past days he was in the house the noise of the house slowly came back. Again, the Loud house again deserved his name. But... It was quiet? Lincoln sat on his bed. They were out again?
He phased through the bed, and floated down the first floor. He heard talking coming from the living room. And he went there, only to see the entire family, including Lynn Sr and Rita, at the couch. Lori was standing. In front of it, talking.
"... So that's what Bobby said!" Lori said
"Then, he and Rosa are coming?" Asked Lola. Lori nodded. Lincoln raised an eyebrow. He definitively missed something.
"A seance it's the best way to deal with these paranormal activities.". Stated. Lori.
"I didn't knew that science dealed with this kind of stuff." Said Leni with her usual naive tone. Everyone rolled their eyes.
"It's seance Leni, not science." Corrected Lisa. "But I need to point that I don't believe that making this spiritual ritual is going to even have some impact on the unusual incidents occorring in our residence. I may sound like a hippocrate by didn't believing, since I personally believe that something out of my beliefs are taking place, but still, for somethings my suspension of disbelief is still not letting me." Everyone looked to Lisa, including Lincoln, trying to figure out what she meant. With a sigh, she clarified. "I dont believe that'll work."
"Come on Lisa." Lana friendly punched Lisa's shoulder. "It's worth a shot!"
"I guess." Replyed Lisa shrugging. The sisters started to discuss about the visit of the Casagrandes. Lincoln just floated there, looking at his family. He was sad that they were so afraid of him. But he couldn't do any about right now. They don't even know that is him who is haunting them.
"Ok kids." The father finally spoke, silencing his children. "I know you are all very scared about everything is going on this week, but what we will do after? Call the Ghostbusters?" Rita gave a chuckle.
"Actually, depending of what occurs on the seance, we might call a priest to bless the house and expel the ghost of the house, or even force him pass to the other world." Stated Lucy, the family nodded at her estatement. Lincoln gulped.
Suddenly a Knock at the door jumpscared all the residents, including Lincoln. As Lynn Sr. Answered the door, Rosa bursted the door open.
"Hola Louds! It's great to see you again! Rosa nearly broke Lynn's ribcage with a hug, and entered the house. "Oh there you are!" She said loudly when she saw the family at the living room. "You all seem much better. I still very sad about Lincoln..." Rita gave the Casagrande a welcome hug before talking.
"It's ok Rosa, where's Bobby?"
"Oh dear, he's helping Ronnie Anne to lock the car!" Said Rosa, as Bobby and Ronnie Anne entered the house.
"Hey guys! Hey Lori..." Said Bobby walking and hugging Lori.
"Hello boo boo bear..." Said Lori with passion on her voice. Before hearing Ronnie Anne clearing her throat. "And you too Ronnie Anne." Completed Lori embarrassed, Bobby released Lori also embarrassed.
"So babe, what kind of weird thing is happening here?" Asked Bobby. And as these words leaved his mouth, the light mood of the room ceased.
"Well Bobby, it all started last saturday. Doors opening, chuckles, figures in the dark, sudden chills, sensation of something touching you. To name a few!" Said Lori. Bobby and Ronnie Anne gulped. A awkward silence stood for some seconds, until Rosa broke it with a smile.
"Hey, it's nearly dinner time! Hey Lynn, how about we both cook some tamales?"
"Oh, you don't have to worry Mrs. Casagrande, let me cook!" Said Lynn Sr.
"Nonsense dear, I insist!" Said Rosa with a smile, nearly dragging the father to the kitchen.
After some seconds, Lola said. "Bobby, are you sure she knows about that kind of stuff?"
"Pretty sure." Responded the teenager. With a sigh, Rita said.
"I'm going to retrieve the inflatable mattress of the attic." Lori was about to follow her mother, but Bobby said the Loud mother.
"Let me help ya Mrs. Loud." Bobby and Rita walked upstairs.
"Wait." Said Luna. "That mattress is big enough only for two people."
"Ronnie Anne can sleep on Lincoln's room." Said Luan almost instantly.
"What?" said both Ronnie Anne Lynn Jr. Surprised.
"What? It's not like the room is occupied, and that bed is too small for Bobby or Mrs. Casagrande." Explained Luan.
"She have a point." Said Luna.
"She can't sleep there!" Shooted Lynn, getting weird looks from the others at the room.
"Why not?" Questioned Luan. Lynn started to shake in rage. As her eyes started to tear.
"That's Lincoln's room!" The sport girl shouted finally. "Not a guest room! It's Lincoln's!"
"Lynn..." Said Ronnie Anne.
"Come on Lynn!" Started Lola. "It's not like he is going to use anymore." As soon that words left her mouth, Lynn grabbed the pegeant lover by the collar.
"What's your problem Lola? Lynn spoke between teeth.
"Hey hey hey!" Said Lori, separating her sisters before anything worse. "Lynn, I know you still don't moved on fully from his death, but it's not excuse to beat Lola!" Lori them, turned to Lola. "And you can at least respect a little Lynn's grief?" Lola looked to the floor. "Ronnie Anne will sleep on Lincoln's room, and that's final." Lori stated.
Some hours later, everyone except Lori and Bobby were at the couch, watching tv. Lori and Bobby were sitting at the front porch. Lori was telling Bobby on details about everything that happened on the last week.
"Wow, this is nuts!" Said Bobby.
"I know right? And sometimes, we caught Charlie and Cliff looking at a wall! It's literally one of the weirdest thing that is happening this week." Said Lori.
"I see..." Bobby scratched his chin. "And Luna received another call from that weirdo?"
"As far as I Know, no." Bobby looked as if he was in deep thought. "Wjat are you thinking about?" she asked her girlfriend.
"If it's really a ghost on the house, I doubt it want to harm you."
"How?"
"Well, he didn't do anything dangerous to you so far. Hell, he kind of helped finding Lola's doll.
"Hum... You're right. Also, Liam said she heard chuckles while she was practicing her routine, so, maybe he was just enjoying her jokes?"
"Maybe." Replyed Bobby. "Maybe that ghost is enjoying being around here."
"But why? Why'd he has chosen our house of all the places?"
"I don't know..."
Inside the house, Ronnie Anne got up from the couch and walked to the stairs, Luna questioned, which Ronnie Anne replyed saying she was going to the bathroom.
As she got her feet on the corridor, she took a lock at the door to Lincoln's room. It was closed, as expected. She went down the corridor, to the bathroom.
After doing her business there, she got out of the bathroom and walked back to the stairs, as she was going to go down the stairs, she saw with corner of her eye something moving behind her. As she looked to that direction, she only saw the end of the corridor, but, the door to Lincoln's room as totally opened. And the light bulb was on. She got a chill. And approached the room.
The room was desert. She noticed that the bed sheets were messy. She entered the room and looked around. Seeing the belongings of her deceased crush. His comic books. His old toys. His video games. His bunny plush, that she mocked him for still having it. And a framed photo of them and Clyde, from the day the three went to Dairyland.
She peeked the photo and sat on the bed. Looking to it. She started to tear up. Slowly starting to cry.
Without her knowing, Lincoln was there, sitting on her side on the bed. Looking to the friend with a frown. Seeing a tough girl as her was as hard to see as Lynn.
Then, from the dinning room, Rosa screamed.
"DINNER'S READY!"
Ronnie Anne wiped her tears with her sleeve, placed the photo back on the desk, turned the light off and went downstairs. Leaving Lincoln alone there. He just sighed and Laid on the bed going to sleep. Since he wasn't going to eat, he just wanted to pass time until the next day.
At the dining room, the family was eating the tamales that Rosa cooked.
"You're right Rosa." Started the father. "Tamale is a very easy to make!" Rosa gave a chuckle.
"You see Lynn, sauerkraut would be a great side dish. I thought you had." Said Rosa.
"I thought we had, but someone keeps eating everything!" Said the dad giving a suspicious look over his daughters.
"Dad, none of us like sauerkraut that much." Said Lola.
"Sauerkraut and peanut butter wasn't the favorite sandwich of Lincoln?" Asked Ronnie Anne sipping at her juice. The Loud family frowned. Ronnie Anne glanced at Bobby, who looked back to her. She pointed with her head at Rosa. Bobby nodded.
"So abuela, how it'll work the seance?" Rosa almost choked on her tamale.
"What Mijo?" She said coffing.
"The seance abuela, how it work?" Repeated Bobby.
"Well..." Rosa looked across the table, all the Louds were looking at her. She really looked uncomfortable.
"What's the matter Rosa?" Asked Rita. "You were avoiding talking about all the night." Rosa gave a shrug followed by a sigh.
"Seances really make me uncomfortable. On the past, my mother used to make rituals that involved witchcraft." Everyone at the table gasped, minus Lucy, who muttered a "Nice" Rosa continued her tale. "She forced me to take part of those rituals."
"Abuela, why'd you never told that to us?" Questioned Bobby.
"It's a traumatic memory Mijo. On my teenage years, I did one or two seances, but I really don't like to do it."
"So why did you offered yourself to make one?" Asked Ronnie Anne.
"To help our family!" Said Rosa, pointing to Lori. She and Bobby blushed. Rosa sighed again. "Anyway, I'll make the ritual, and try to communicate with the spirit at this house."
"How it will, like, work?" Asked Leni.
"About this, I'll need the help of all of you. We will start at noon. We have to make a spiritual circle. Them I'll use this." She picked from her apron a rusty bronze plate, with runes encraved, held by a little chain rope. "To know assure the presence of the spirit at the room. Them, we will be able to communicate."
"Sounds good to me." Said the dad, eating his last tamale.
Some time later, Lincoln was sleeping soundly at his bed, but the noise of the door opening woke him. "What?" Ronnie Anne walked in, placing her backpack on Lincoln's chair. She closed the door. "What are you doing?" Asked Lincoln. "Oh, ghost, right."
Ronnie Anne sighed and opened her backpack, taking something that Lincoln didn't was able to see what was. He gasped in embarrassment as Ronnie Anne started taking her shirt off. Lincoln closed his eyes and turned to the wall. Only listening Ronnie Anne changing her clothes to her pajamas.
He waited untill he felt her laying on the bed. He turned around and slowly opened the eyes. She was laying on her side, facing the opposite direction of him, dressed on her pajamas. The lights were already off.
He layed on his back, facing the ceiling. That was very awkward for him. Yes he already slept with Lynn on the bed, but this is different.
That was his old girlfriend. Someone he deeply liked. He turned his head to look at her. He really wished he remembered the last time she saw him with life. How she reacted to the news? Did them met personally one last time? Did them finally ended their relationship? Did she was happy that he was gone? Did she was glad he was forever gone from her life?
"Lincoln..." muttered Ronnie Anne on her sleep. This caught Lincoln of guard. All these thoughts vanished from his mind. He layed on his side, and hugged Ronnie Anne, making her smile on her sleep.
Soon, Lincoln also drifted to sleep, also smiling.
