Chapter 13: Don't get too Bonely without me.
Sans was in Vale's clothes shop, finding a suit that fits him. He loved the color blue, so he went for a light blue tuxedo and tie. The former skeleton put it on and looked at himself in the mirror. He turned around a few times before chuckling.
"man, i look kinda Blue for a Punny person." The white haired boy said as he chuckled at his own joke.
Sans then took it off and put on his regular outfit before heading to the counter to pay for the tux. After that, the blue jacket boy teleported to his room and changed back to his tux before sighing.
"Jeez, what a day."
Later that day
Sans was at the corner of the ballroom, drinking from the punch bowl. Most people here seem to be having a great time of their lives. Most people.
Weiss seems to be gloomier on the chairs. It would seem that she was rejected by that Neptune guy. Harsh. Jaune and Pyrrha also seem to be having some complications too.
Ren and Nora were having a blast and Yang and Blake were having a good time dancing with each other, so that's a good thing. Sans turned to the sound of footsteps clumsily walking towards him.
The white haired boy chuckled as Ruby tried to walk towards him in high heels. The red Rose just looked at him and puffed her cheeks.
"heheh, glad to see you 'ere." Sans said.
"Well, I'm not happy to be here at all." The little Rose told him.
"awwww, come on. lighten up. this is a party ain't it? though, i must say. you look quite Radishing." The former skeleton said.
"Sans! Ruby!" The two turned around to find Penny coming at them full sprint and pulled them into a hug, almost threw them both out of balance.
"You guys made it!" The robot girl said as she released the two.
"wouldn't miss it for the world." The blue suit boy said as his smile grew wider.
"how are you though?" He continued.
"I'm doing GREAT! My dad and I are both happy that I'm now... Back in the lands of the living." The green dressed girl whispered at the last part.
"Glad to hear." Ruby said with a smile.
Penny looked at both of them and a smile formed on her face.
"*Le gasp* Are you two,... Together now?" She asked as her eyes sparkled.
They both blushed and started stuttering the answer as the robotic girl watched in amusement. After a good few minutes of stammering and stuttering, both of them looked away from each other.
Ruby blushed in a deep red color that matched her dress while Sans blushed in a deep blue color that matched his tux. The two then turned to the green dressed girl and gave their answer.
"Yes/No" They both said at the same time.
Sans facepalmed while Ruby tried to bury her face in her hands.
"No/Yes." The two answered at the same time again.
Penny just gave a low chuckle as she told the two.
"I believe you guys are a great couple."
"Yup, that's what a new couple would say." Yang chimed in from behind the two.
"Yang! Don't encourage her!" Ruby stomped her foot as her blush deepened.
'Well, technically, you guys are a couple since you asked Sans out.' Chara informed her.
"Oh, shut up, Chara. Whose side are you on anyway?" The little Rose accidentally said out loud.
"Chara? Like the princess of monster Chara?" Penny asked.
"The who now?" Yang looked at the three confusedly.
"*sigh* Ruby will answer that when she gets back to the room. right now, can you guys leave us alone so we can enjoy the party?" Sans asked with a hint of annoyance in his tone.
"Sure. I'll take my leave. See you around, friends." The green dressed girl told them as she ran off.
The three looked at Penny as she ran off. Yang then turned her attention to Sans and Ruby and asked.
"Claiming my sister for yourself, are ya?" The blond brawler teased.
"and if i am?" The skeleton monster teased back.
"Wait, if you want to do her, but she's 15 and you're 22,... Doesn't that make you a-"
"don't. you. dare. finish. that. sentence." The white haired boy warned the blond brute.
"Whaaaa,..." The red Rose didn't get what they were implying.
'Oh,... God. Your brute of a sister is disgusting.' The striped-shirt-wearing girl complained.
"Why? I don't get it." Ruby asked confusedly.
"it's better if you don't." The former skeleton told her.
'I'm just gonna shut myself off while you party.' Chara told Ruby.
'Okay.' The red Rose said in her head.
"hey, uh,... do you wanna dance?" The white haired boy asked the little Rose shyly.
Ruby just blushed before giving him her answer.
"S-Sure."
The two then walked down the stairs, but with those high heels, the little Rose couldn't even stand straight. The red reaper tripped on her feet and fell to the front. The former skeleton just used his telekinesis to catch her before she could fall any further.
Ruby just threw some curses as she took her heels off. Sans chuckled as a pair of ballet shoes materialized in front of the red Rose.
"Thanks." The petite girl thanked him as she put the ballet shoes on.
"do you,... know how to dance?" The former skeleton asked.
"N-No,..." The red rose answered shyly.
"crud,... i didn't think this through." The white haired boy told her.
"You don't know how to dance either, do you?" The little red asked.
"nope." Sans stated, popping the 'p'.
"I figured as much." Ruby said.
"*sigh* do you wanna do something else? like getting some fresh air, perhaps?" The white haired boy suggested.
"Yeah, I'd prefer that." The red reaper answered.
The two of them then made their way to the balcony. Sans spared a glance back and saw that everyone seems to have settled their problems.
Jaune and Pyrrha were dancing and, for some reason, he was wearing a dress. He decided not to question that. Weiss and that Neptune guy seems to be talking with each other now, so that's a good thing. The blue tux chuckled as he continued walking.
TIMESKIP
Both Ruby and Sans leaned on the balcony as they gaze upon the sight of the beautiful broken moon. No one really knew why, or how the moon was broken, or why the planet's gravitational pull hasn't put the moon back together yet. All they knew was that it was beautiful. Which is very strange, how people say something so broken as beautiful to gaze upon.
The red Rose looked at the moon and then to the white haired boy. She had never seen him so relaxed. Usually, people don't really notice how tense Sans is. He always seems to be on guard for some reason, but now? He didn't put his guard up, at all.
Maybe, it has something to do with the fact that the white haired boy was afraid of people?
'Nah, that can't be it.' The red reaper thought.
He is more capable in fighting than most people she knew. Ruby knew that better than others. Heck, maybe better than everyone she knew. But, if so, why does he always seem so defensive?
Knowing that hurting her head more wouldn't get her anywhere, the little Rose decided to ask him herself. But, before she could say anything, Sans asked her.
"are you done with starin' at me? jeez, i know that i'm handsome, but if you keep doin' that, it's gonna get weird."
Ruby immediately looked away, earning a chuckle from the white haired boy.
"what's in your mind, Rose Bud." The former skeleton asked.
"Ummmm,... Can I ask you something?" The little red reaper asked.
"shoot." Sans replied.
"Sans? Why are you so sad all the time? Please, answer this truthfully." The red Rose pleaded.
Sans's eyes turned pitched black before returning to silver. He looked at Ruby with his dull eyes and let out a sigh before answering.
"maybe, old habits die hard. i got stuck in that Judgment Hall for too long. and, all i've ever done is dodging everything that might be able to hurt me. both physically and mentally. so, i closed myself off and not letting anyone know about it."
The Little Rose gave him a concerned look as he continued.
"maybe, i'm too afraid of having something to lose, because i might lose it. i've finally made some friends. and now, i'm afraid of losing them, of losing-"
The red Rose just pulled Sans into a kiss. Her lips pressed against his. The white haired boy was surprised by this action, but not in a bad way. Realizing what she had just done, Ruby pushed him away immediately and buried her face in her hands as she blushed profusely. The former skeleton looked to his right bashfully to avoid her gaze.
"I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I'm so so sorry! Idon'tknowwhat'sgottenintomeanymorebecauseIdidn'meantodothat!" The little Rose apologized so fast that it was almost impossible to comprehend what she had just said.
Her face now was redder than roses. Heh. Sans just looked away in embarrassment. The color blue not leaving his face even for a moment. After a few bashful minutes, Ruby turned to him and asked.
"Do you really have to leave? Don't they have anyone more capable than you? N-Not that I don't think that you're good, or something. It's just that-"
"yeah, i get it. i don't wanna go either. but, it is what it is, ya know?" The white haired boy said as he looked at her sadly.
"I'll miss you, you know? We all will." Said the red reaper.
"i know. i'll miss you too." The former skeleton told her.
"if i don't leave now, i might not be able to do that." Sans informed the red Rose.
"This is goodbye for now, huh? I'll visit you as soon as I can." Ruby said.
"i'll try to send you guys some monster food and some other stuff as well." The former skeleton smiled.
"Before you go, I have something for you." The red Rose stated.
Sans turned to face the little Rose, only for her to lean in and kissed him. The two stayed like that for a while before separating from each other. A single drop of tear threatened to break from Ruby's left eye.
"Don't get too Bonely without us." She said with a light smile.
Sans's smile widened at the joke. Never before had he heard Ruby made a single pun. That was certainly something new. The white haired boy chuckled as he teleported to his room. There, the former skeleton changed back to his usual clothes before jumping on a blaster and flew back to Mount Ebott with a smile behind his skull mask.
Back at the ballroom
Ruby was leaving the party, only to find the Atlesian guards on the ground.
"Chara?" The red reaper called out.
'I know. I'll do the analysis on our enemy as you fight. Be careful.' The red eyed girl warned.
"I will." Ruby said as she pushed some buttons on her scroll and her locker landed in front of her.
The red Rose then opened it to get her scythe out. She then got into the elevator and headed up. The moment the elevator opened, The little red riding reaper got out of the elevator and called out loud.
"Hello! Is anyone there?"
'Not so loud! You idiot!' Chara scolded.
'Sorry!' The red Rose apologized in her head.
Ruby walked for a few seconds and saw a woman in a black dress and an eye mask. The red Rose could feel Chara shudder.
"I-It can't be,...' Chara muttered.
'Chara? What's wrong?' Ruby asked in her head.
'Cinder Falls.' The striped-shirt-wearing-girl said.
"Cinder Falls." The little Rose repeated.
"Have we met?" Cinder was taken back by the girl's reaction.
"We are now." The red reaper said as she used *CHECK*.

'I won't.' Was the reply. Ruby saved as she readied her Crescent Rose.
"It's a beautiful night outside.
Birds are sleeping.
People are partying.
And on nights like these, criminals like you,...
SHOULD BE STAYING IN PRISON!"
Four blasters appeared next to each other behind the little red reaper as well as five scythes in between the blasters.
First off, I want to say sorry for the delay. I was working with my other story for the last two weeks because I was very hyped about it.
