Discaimer: I do not own The Loud House
"You can eat?" Asked Lynn Jr. flabbergasted seeing Luncoln putting a slice of the father's famous Lynnsagna on his plate.
"Surprisingly, yes, I need to eat, I also need to use the bathroom." Said Lincoln "And don't ask why, I don know." Completed, eating a spoonful of lasagna, but due the high temperature, the nearly spitted.
"And you can get burned?" Asked Luan. Seeing Lincoln drinking his cup of juice to aid his sore tongue.
"Is so good to have you back sweety." Said Rita smiling at her son, wiping a oncoming tear.
"I still don't understand how you are here Lincoln." Commented Lucy. With her usual monotonous voice
"Yeah, how are you here Linkie?" Asked Leni.
"I..." Lincoln said sweating a little, he didn't know if he was allowed to talk them about Reaper and all he had told him, well, he wasn't going to risk it. "I don't know, I just remember waking on a coffin and that's it."
"Are you sure you don't remember anything?" Insisted Lucy.
"No Lucy, I dont remember! I can't even remember my last days alive!" Omitted the ghost boy. Although that last part was true. The family looked at him curious of what the boy had said.
"Can't remember?" Repeated Lori puzzled.
"Yeah... the last thing I really remember before waking on that coffin is passing out when playing with Lynn." Lincoln motioned to his athletic sister, who dropped her fork upon hearing her name.
"What?" Lynn said with discomfort on her voice.
"That was two months before you dying!" Exclaimed Lola.
"When the first symptoms of your sickness were surfacing." Completed Lisa.
Lincoln sighed before eating one more fork of lasagna. "I... Don't understand eather..." Lincoln got a sudden sting on the head. He growled in pain grabbing his head, Luna, who were the one on his side, got up and tried to grab Lincoln, but she phased through him.
"What?" She muttered as Lincoln phased through the chair and vanished phasing through the floor. Some seconds passed with everyone quiet, surprised.
"Well..." Said Luan. "There he goes again..."
"LUAN" Everyone shouted at Luan's statement.
Like a thunder, Lincoln's grunts striked the dining, making the family jump. The grunts turned into screams, the family could almost feel the pain that Lincoln was feeling with his screams. With his screams, the dining room table started trembling.
"Lincoln's freaking out again!" Spoke Lori. "Like earlier!"
"What do gonna do?" Said Lana
"We have to figure something out!" Said the Loud father seeing the plates, cutlery and food starting to float. "Before he gets full of lasagna."
"Maybe we can try to calm him down" Proposed Luna. The sisters nodded.
"Linkie, calm down!" Spoke Leni, but not happened, the plates continued flying.
"Good work Leni." Said Lynn Jr. Sarcastically.
"Thanks" Said Leni with a smile, making Lynn facepalm.
"Lincoln, you need to calm down. Everything is ok, you are not sick anymore!" Said Luna. But Lincoln's poutergeist didn't stopped. "Oh, come on!"
In the middle of the confusion, the bowl of lasagna collided with Lola, dirtying her, head to toe. She looked to his dirty gown, her head started to get hot in anger.
"LINCOLN!" The dirty little princess shouted from the top of her lungs in rage. "STOP RIGHT NOW!" a second passed before the plates and cutlery stopped floating and falled, shattering upon touching the ground and table. The lasagna also falled, making a mess on the floor, table, walls and heads of some of the sisters.
Lincoln rose from the ground, floating above them, still groaning a little with his hand on the head. "Man... That one was a big one..." Said Lincoln shaking his head. He stopped and raised the head, seeing the mess of broken plates and lasagna. "Oh man! What a mess... I'm so sorry..."
"That's nothing Lincoln, what happened to you is the important question!" Said Rita.
"When ghosts get agitated, they make what is called a poutergeist." Responded Lincoln starting to collect the broken shards of the broken plates.
"Yeah, but what made you do that? You sounded in so much pain." Spoke Lana. Lincoln sighed.
"I don't know... My head started to hurt, the most pain I ever felt... It was the same pain... From that day." Lynn Jr. Gulped at this statement. "And Aside from that pain... I get these flashes of memory..." Lincoln stopped picking shards. But not just stopped, he froze. Looking at a wall, still holding some shards of plate.
"Lincoln?" Called Lori concerned. Lincoln shakes his head, and smiled.
"As I was saying, I am really sorry for the mess." He continued picking up shards. Everyone stood silent, seeing him collecting the shards. When he collected all big chunks of shards, he dropped them on the garbage bin and picked a broom, sweeping the remnant shards.
"Lincoln, you don't need to clean, here, leave to me." The father picked the broom from the kid's hand.
"Uhm... Thanks dad... Uhm... You all mind if I went out? I really need to do something. Is important." Lincoln said pointing to the front door.
"Well sport... It's very late... Were you're going?" Questioned the dad.
"To Clyde's house... I..."
"Oh, I see sport, you can go, but don't uh... Don't talk to any strange ghost!"
"Thanks dad!" Lincoln flew to the front door and phased through it.
Lynn smiled a little and started to clean the dining room. The sisters looked at each other for some moments, them, Lori announced.
"Sibling meeting!"
Lincoln flew to the McBride's house. The night sky was clean, and the stars illumating were so pretty. He saw his destination coming closer, the lights were still on, good, they were woke, he could knock the door.
Lincoln landed on the front porch and knocked the door. Some seconds later, Howard answered. "Hello-" The man's eyes widened when he realized who was on his porch, and with a thump, he passed out and felt backwards.
"Oh..." Lincoln muttered when he heard Harold running to aid his husband."
"Howard! What happen-" He looked to Lincoln, and also falled backwards passed out.
Lincoln looked the unconscious couple on the floor. When he heard a third person walking to the front door.
"Dads? What happened?" Clyde's eyes went up and he saw Lincoln there. He gasped and backed a little. "L-lincoln?" Lincoln made a shy smile
"Clyde..." Lincoln entered the house, making sure to not step on Harold or Howard. Clyde's eyes were wide and his mouth was agape. He couldn't compute what was happening. His Best friend, no, his brother from another mother, who died, was right there. His eyes started to water up under his glasses.
Clyde then, made a sudden rush, and hugged Lincoln tightly. Lincoln was shocked and surprised at his reaction, But retrieved the hug. When they parted, Clyde's voice was almost breaking.
"You're here! You're really here! It's not my imagination... Or it is?" Asked Clyde concerned, Lincoln just laugh a little.
"No, Clyde. I'm really here." Lincoln gave a gently punch on his friend shoulder.
"You're alive! I don't believe it!" Said Clyde starting to cry with happiness.
"Well Clyde... About the word alive." Lincoln backed a little. "I'm not exactly alive."
"What do you mean?" Asked Clyde puzzled. Lincoln then, rose from the ground, floating some feet out of ground. This made Clyde gasp again, the boy backed a little and felt on his butt.
"I'm a ghost Clyde." Explained Lincoln. The two boys heard some groans, they looked, and the McBrides were waking.
"What happened, I though I saw Lincoln on the porch..." Said Howard fitting on his feet.
"I also think I saw him Howie..." Harold also got on his feet.
"Well..." Lincoln said, making the two look to him, both men screamed and we're about to faint again, but Clyde intervened.
"Calm down dads, this is really Lincoln. He is back!" Clyde made a smile, but Harold and Howard were still creeped at Lincoln's presence.
"How?" Said Howard finally. "He died! You died!"
"Well... I am a ghost, look, I am floating!" Replyed Lincoln floating around the living room. That calmed a little the fathers, Clyde was mesmerized looking Lincoln making acrobacies on the air.
"So Lincoln... Can explain what happened to you? Being a ghost I mean." Asked Harold, but Howard scolded his husband.
"Harold! Makers! Probably he doesn't like talking about!"
"No, no it's ok, I was planning to explain anyway, but well, better you three sit, is long story." The McBrides sat at their sofa, Lincoln then sat on the floor in front of the three, and he started to tell his story.
He started telling from waking up on a coffin, digging his way out of the grave, his days he accidentally haunted the Loud house, the day he tried to visit them, the Casagrande visit, the seance, his fight with the ghost bull, and his recent breakdown on the dinner. He told them almost everythimg, but like he did with his family, he omitted the part with Reaper from his tale.
"And there's all the story." Lincoln said as he finished telling them.
"Wow..." Spoke Clyde. "Is a lot to process... Dads, can I and Lincoln go to my room? I need to talk to him in particular." The McBride kid asked his father's, and they smiled at the kids.
"Of course sweety, you two really need to talk." Said Harold. Lincoln and Clyde stranded and started walking and floating to Clyde's room, but Howard called Lincoln.
"Hey Lincoln." Lincoln looked at his friend's father. "Is good to see you again." Lincoln smiled and went to Clyde's bedroom, were the host closed the door behind them.
"Everything you told us is true Lincoln?" Asked Clyde sitting on his bed.
"Everything. And don't even ask, I don't know how or why I am here, and don't remember anything before waking on the coffin." Assured Lincoln.
"Yes, that I got, but You really don't remember nothing past that day you got diagnosed?" Lincoln floated around the Room, like he was in zero gravity.
"I sometimes have these flashes, my head hurts so much, and in these flashes I see somethings but never is very clear." Responded Lincoln bouncing on a wall.
"And when that happens, you make a poutergeist, like when you made here in my bedroom." Asked Clyde.
"Yeah... Sorry about that, Cleopawtra made me go haywire for some seconds." Apologized Lincoln.
"It's ok bro... But what will you do now?" Questioned the nerdy boy.
"What do you mean?" Said Lincoln with his upside down.
"Now that your family, me and Ronnie Anne know you are back, what do you plan to do?" Clyde explained his question.
"Now that you said, I don't know, I though maybe I just continue with my life?"
"How? You are a ghost! You can't go to school, our friends don't know anything about you now, we don't even know if you get older!" Lincoln though what his friend had said, Clyde was right.
"So, what do you have in mind?" Asked Lincoln, hoping that Clyde had an idea, because he had none.
"First of all, research more about ghosts, more you know about your condition, better!" Said Clyde. Lincoln rolled his eyes.
"Clyde, being a ghost it's not a disease to call condition." Said Lincoln, crossing his arms.
"Sorry buddy. But my point stills!" Affirmed Clyde.
"Yeah, you're right in there, but where I gonna find anything about ghosts?"
"Well, anywhere, ghosts are very popular on media! Movies, books, comic books, video games, you name it!"
"Real ghosts Clyde. Real ghosts." Clarified Lincoln. "I am very different from that kind of ghost, I can eat, I need to eat! I sleep, I have pulse, heartbeat, I even need to use the bathroom!"
"Oh..." Clyde though for some seconds. "Maybe you can find something school's library, you remember how many books they have? It must have something useful."
"School?" Lincoln also though. "Is actually a great idea! There, I can present myself to Rusty Liam, Zach and Stella!"
"You want to present yourself to them?"
"Of course, they also are our friends, and besides, it's not like, a secret that I am back." Lincoln chuckled.
"Yeah, maybe they can help us!" Said Clyde optimistically.
"But Clyde, I'll need your help." Asked Lincoln.
"Then speak buddy!" Said Clyde smiling. Clyde was happier then ever before. Clincon McLoud was back.
Some minutes later, Lincoln went back home. The plan was settled, He was going to accompany Clyde to school, and before the end of school, Clyde will make na excuse to make them alone, them Lincoln was going to present himself. And with some luck, they wouldn't be so freaked that Lincoln was back and as a ghost.
He phased through the front door, scaring the father, who was on the couch watching TV.
"Sorry dad." Lincoln flew upstairs and was going to his room when he heard someone calling him.
"Lincoln." The voice was from Lori who was at her bedroom door. "We all need to talk." She had a serious tone, that tone of her was typical when she was angry, this made Lincoln's spine tremble. He went closer and Lori entered the room, followed by Lincoln.
All sister were there, all wearing clothes for the night, they had waited for him to be back. "So..." He started. "Sibling meeting?" The sisters nodded. Lincoln he had a bad feeling about this. "What you have discussed?"
"You like being a ghost?" Said Lucy plainly.
"I like, I guess, It's very cool being able to float, became invisible, walk through walls..." Responded Lincoln.
"You like being here?" Asked Luna.
"Of course, it's the only place I called home!" Retorted Lincoln.
"No Lincoln, do you like being on this side? Here, on the land of the living." Clarified Lucy.
"What kind of question is that?" Lincoln was surprised.
"Lincoln, we had a discussion, and not all of us think you have to be here." Explained Lori.
Lincoln said nothing, just looked to each sister, they all had concerned looks in their face, save for Lily, who didn't know what was happening and was giggling happily on Leni's lap.
"Lincoln. You had so much pain, not only on your last days, but now, after death, you need to revive these pains?" Said Luna with a frown.
"We dont want you to suffer more you already suffered Linkie..." Said Leni. Lincoln gazed down.
"Maybe, the best is to you move on. Go to heaven." Said Luan.
"Or hell." Said Lola, only to receive a slap on the back of the head by Lana.
"Not good Lols!" Said Lana.
"Even with my scientific side saying to keep you to research on the paranormal, my sister side is telling that you need to rest, Lincoln." Spoke Lisa.
"What do you think Lincoln?" Said Lynn. Lincoln sighed. He opened his mouth to talk, but he couldn't find any words, he just closed his mouth and stood there, processing all they said.
Maybe they were right. He didn't remember how much he suffered, but everyone told him how bad he was. And he didn't asked to Reaper to stay, he didn't even agreed staying. But. The Grim Reaper itself gave him this chance. This thoughts made Lincoln know what to say.
"Girls. I didn't Asked to be a ghost. I didn't wanted to be here. I may have suffered., even if I dont remember much, but... I warned this second chance! It was unfair I had to die so young! I won't waste this chance." Said Lincoln firmly. The sisters smiled at him.
Luna stood up from the bed and hugged Lincoln, followed by the other sisters, and soon they all were having a family hug
"Well." Said Lincoln phasing through the ground, easily running from the crushing hug. He rose from the ground in front of the door. "Best if we all go to sleep, tomorrow we all have school!" Said Lincoln leaving the room walking.
"He just said we?" Spoke Lola.
Soon, they all got out of the room, and went to their respective bedrooms to sleep. They all already were ready for bed, just Lincoln who changed his clothes to his pajamas.
"Weird that my clothes also turn into ghosts when I wear them..." He muttered to himself. Before laing on his bed, he turned of the nightlight and went asleep, but he heard soft knocks at his door. "Enter." He said, the door swung open with Lucy behind.
"Lincoln... can I sleep with you?" Asked Lucy softly.
"You argued with Lynn again?" Questioned Lincoln. Lucy shaked her head.
"No... I just want to be close to you..."
"Ok..." Spoke Lincoln, Lucy shut the door and laid on Lincoln's side, on the bed.
"Thank you Lincoln." Spoke Lucy hugging his brother, she almost flinched, reeling how cold his body was, but didn't let him go. "I missed you so much Lincoln..." Said Lucy before drifting to sleep. Lincoln smiled.
"Good night Lucy." Whispered Lincoln, softly stroking her hair, before also dropping asleep.
The next day, Lincoln woke and Lucy still was there sleeping. He smiled a little and floated up to got up without waking her, and phased through his door, making Liam jumpscare, she was also leaving her room at the same time him.
"Oh, Lincoln! It's you." She said heavy breathing with the fright.
"Sorry Luan." Apologized Lincoln, accompaning her to the line to the bathroom.
"It's nothing bro, it already passed." Luan laughed, before noticing Lincoln was on the line to the bathroom too. "You need to use the bathroom?"
"Well, yeah, I also need to wash myself." Said the ghost boy.
"But why? You'll go somewhere?" Spoke Luan confused.
"I'll go to school with Clyde today." Said Lincoln.
"School? Seriously? I know some say school kills, but you are already dead." Lincoln chuckled at her comment.
"I want to present myself to Rusty, Liam, Zack and Stella. Clyde agreed to help me." Explained Lincoln.
Half an hour passed and Lincoln already was at the table eating breakfast along his siblings and parents.
"Are you sure you want to go to school Lincoln? You don't need to if you don't want to." Spoke Lynn to his only male child.
"Dad, I'm not sick to skip school." Affirmed Lincoln. "And now that you all know about me, I want my friends to know too."
"If you say so sport." Responded Lynn. Rita looked to Lincoln quietly, thinking. While Lincoln was on the bathroom, Lori told her and the father about the talk they had with Lincoln the night before.
"Lincoln." Rita finally called her child, Lincoln looked at her. "You really are sure you want to stay? On this side I mean." Lincoln shrugged, he swallowed the piece of bacon he had on his mouth and spoke.
"Mom. I decided that I'm staying. Not only that. I will find a way to deal with all this." The others at the table looked at Lincoln. "And maybe one day, became human again, then, we can continue our lifes and forget about my death. Okay?" The family looked at themselves, before Rita sigh and speak.
"If it's what you want sweetheart, we'll support you all the way!" She assured, followed by nods from the family.
"Thanks mom." Lincoln looked at the Clock at the wall and floated up. "I need to go, I need to be on Clyde's house early." He was flying to the window, but Lynn Jr. Spoke.
"You will go fly out there in the light of the day? You'll freak everyone who sees you." Lincoln turned and smiled at his sporty sister.
"Don't worry about that!" Said Lincoln before vanishing. He learned how to became invisible that very morning, when he was at the shower.
"Wow!" Said some of the sisters and the dad.
"Cool right? Well, I'm going!" The voice on Lincoln came from the point he was before vanishing. Lincoln flew through the window and headed to Clyde's house.
The invisible boy saw the McBride kid sat on the front porch, waiting for him, he landed in front of Clyde and without any warning, became visible again, making Clyde jump with the scare.
"Sorry Clyde, But look! I learned how to became invisible again!" Said Lincoln. Clyde was still a little scared, hyperventilating, Lincoln gave some seconds to his friend to recompose himself.
"You, need, to earn people when you do that!" Said Clyde slightly mad.
"I am really sorry buddy."
"It's okay Lincoln, well, with this, it will be easier to make the plan, we can discard the disguise." Clyde Spoke throwing the coat and hat he had on his hand out.
"The plan is in work?" Asked Lincoln. Clyde nodded, picking his phone.
"I already texted them asking with they can come with me on the way back home. they accepted." Lincoln looked the texts Clyde was talking about.
"Great, now, let's go to school!" Said Lincoln before becaming invisible.
The duo walked to Royal Woods Middle School. Well, Clyde assumed Lincoln was with him, he couldn't see or hear him walking. "Lincoln, You're still here? Asked Clyde.
"Yes." Said Lincoln on his side.
"Ok..."
They soon arrived the school, Lincoln accompanied Clyde to his locker, and on the side of the locker, was the former locker of Lincoln. It had something curious stapled on it. A black ribbon.
"This..." He whispered so that only Clyde could hear. The Nerdy kid looked at the black ribbon.
"Someone placed there on the first school day after your death. No one wanted to remove. The Principal even didn't gave that locker to any other student." Explained Clyde, picking the books he would need for the first set of classes, before hearing some playful laughs.
"Hey Clyde, talking alone again?" Rusty said approaching with Liam, Zack and Stella on his company.
"Hey guys, your parents agreed to let you accompany me on the way back home? I really need to tell you something important. Lincoln nodded, even if no one could see him.
"Mah dad said was okay." Spoke Liam.
"Same as mine." Said Rusty.
"I'm also good." Said Zach
"If I don't get home late, it's okay to me too." Said Stella.
Clyde smiled. "Great! You all will be amazed at the surprise we prepared!" Said Clyde before the bell ringing, announcing the start of the classes. "Now, let's go to class!" Said Clyde running to the class, followed by Zack, Liam, Rusty and Stella shortly after.
"He said we?" Questioned Liam to Rusty, who just shrugged.
"Okay class, You need to listen carefully at this example, this one is very tricky." Said Ms. Johnson writing a simple equation on the shalkboard. Lincoln was floating, looking to Clyde's notebook over his shoulder.
"I don't even know what is all this things." Whispered Lincoln to Clyde's ear.
"You missed much buddy, and this is only math." Clyde whispered back. "Maybe I can update you later."
"Mr. Mc.Bride, with who you're talking?" Said Mr. Johnson reprimanding Clyde.
"No one teacher." Replyed Clyde.
"No one isn't on the List of students." Scolded Ms. Johnson.
"I'm sorry teacher." Said Clyde. Ms. Johnson approached Clyde's desk
"It's ok Clyde, just pay attention next time!" Ms. Johnson patted Clyde's shoulder. "Hum..." The teacher went to the back of the classroom and opened the tall cabinet that keeps the didatic book she needed. "Where's that book...?" Ms. Johnson analized the cabinet in search of the book she needed.
She raised her head and spotted what she needed. A big, heavy and old math book, it was on the highest shelf. Ms. Johnson raised her arm and tried to reach the book.
She barely could touch the book, it was too high. She touched the book again, trying to catch him. With a thud, she poked the book again, and he slipped out of the shelf.
Ms. Johnson screamed and covered her head, as the heavy book falled on top of her, the size and weight of the book would definitely hurt her a lot. But. The book didn't even touched her. She lifted again her head. She gasped, just like her students.
The book floated just inches above the teacher's head. Lincoln was struggling to hold the book. How a math book could be so heavy? He looked down and saw Ms. Johnson reaching for the book, and as she touched the book, Lincoln couldn't hold it anymore, the book slipped out of his hands and felt on the floor with a loud thud, making all the students and Ms. Johnson flinch.
Ms. Johnson slowly picked the book up and looked around the class, every student was choked and or creeped, maybe a student had pranked her. She shakes her head, no, it was impossible something float. "Let's... Continue class, should we?" She said with a nervous smile.
Around the same time, In the other side of the school, two female students were skippeng class, on the girls restroom. The first girl, with black hair and piercings, was talking.
"So, Like, I saw Carson holding hands with Cassie!" The second girl, a Blonde with green eyes, gasped.
"No way! He is cheating on Laura!"
The first girl was about to spit another gossip when they heard laughs. Both girls flinched
"Hello?" Asked the first girl, looking at the stalls. Another slimy chuckle came from one of the stalls.
"Naughty kids making naughty things, pour souls, full of sin, continue gossiping about your friends on their back, I'm delighting." The voice was from a man, it was slimy, acute and almost gross voice from a man.
"Hey, this is the girls restroom! You shouldn't be here!" Said the second voice. The voice made another slimy chuckle.
"I think you also shouldn't be here too." The girls gritted their teeth.
"Shut up! Who are you anyway?" Said the first girl approaching the stall were the voice was coming from. She tried to open the door. She banged it. "Open this or we'll call a teacher and you'll be in trouble!" no response. The girl started the door repeatedly.
With a loud thump, the door swing open, sending the girl against the wall. "Ouch!" she grunted, the friend went to her aid, both looked inside the stall.
A tall, skinny man was there, floating 3 feet of the ground, he was slightly translucent, he glowed a grey, spectral light. His face was cadaverous, his lips were completely dry and peeled back, revealing nasty gums and rotten, black teeth. He had on his face, a vague semblance of a smile. He wore a torn jumpsuit, in the holes of the suit, it could be seen the ribs of the man.
The girls screamed in complete horror. "Hello girls." Said the ghost, triggering the girls and making them run out of the restroom, the ghost laughed malevolently, becaming invisible again.
I was planning to make this chapter longer, but I've decided to divide the chapter in two, next chapter Clyde and Lincoln will meet with Liam, Rusty, Zack and Stella, and they will discover Lincoln! They also will meet with this misterious spooky ghost that is haunting the school! until next time!
