New Chapter for Back From Death Is done! Last Chapter, Lincoln defeated the Mischievous Ghost and founded with his friends The Mysterian Kids! and Principal Huggins also allowed him to come back at school! Let's see how it goes!Disclaimer: I don't own The Loud House
There was rumors of a ghost vaguing on the school halls. That was ridiculous. Girl Jordan walked to his locker after arriving school, ghosts are not real. This may have been a case of mass hysteria. She opened his locker, picking her books.
"Hey Girl Jordan!" Greeted Mollie, walking the her friend. "I heard rumors of a supposed new fifth grader!" Girl Jordan closed her locker.
"Seriously? In the middle of the year?" Asked the girl surprised.
"I also heard that he was taking Lincoln's old locker!" Added Mollie, surprising Girl Jordan even more.
"What? This is a disrespect for Lincoln!" Spoke Girl Jordan, starting to walk the class, Mollie accompanied her.
"Come on Jordan, It has been nearly a month! I know you want to be respectful with that black ribbon, but come on!" Argued Mollie. "And besides, he may be cute!"
"Mollie!" Spoke Girl Jordan scolding Mollie. Jordan unconsciously took a path to the class that passed across Lincoln's locker.
As she turned the corner, she saw Clyde, Liam, Zack, Rusty and Stella talking and laughing. That was weird. Since Lincoln's death, they had been acting more somber, probably because of the grief for his friend. As they crossed the group, she heard fragments from their conversation. Something about "last night", "treehouse" and "Mysterians". Girl Jordan wondered what that last thing meant.
She picked her phone and searched that word. But she found nothing other than a really old Toho movie. Girl Jordan shrugged, losing interest, they may have had a movie night, and were talking about it.
They arrived the class and Jordan proceeded in just getting on her usual seat, and engage in a mostly uninteresting conversation with Mollie and Joy, who arrived shortly after. Jordan stayed silent most of the conversation, Mollie and Joy talked a lot about yesterday rumors of ghost and something that actually grabbed Jordan's interest.
"A boy from the sixth grade told me about very big paranormal activity that occured last night! The library was a mess, books everywhere and even the Librarian desk was moved!" Said Joy.
"No way! Yesterday's rumors, the library dawning destroyed, it have definitely something going on!" Spoke Mollie. Girl Jordan was about to express her thoughts when the bell rang, the three girls just sitted looking forward, to wait Ms. Johnson arrival.
But Girl Jordan couldn't note how anxious Clyde, Zack, Rusty, Liam and Stella were. It was like they were expecting something. When Ms. Johnson entered the classroom, everyone was silent, the teacher dropped her material on her desk and went to the front of the class.
"Ok class... As you might have heard... We have a... Student that will join our class today, Please, Mr. Loud, can you come and present yourself?" Ms. Johnson was nervous, this is unusual for her, normally she was so, wait what did she said?
And from the door, stepped in a young boy that was about her age, he had more or less her height too. He was skinny and wore a slightly faded orange polo. But what really shocked Jordan was his head. He had a pale, smooth skin, so pale that his freckles stranded even more than normal. He had baby blue colored eyes, small bags under them, his mouth was in a warm smile, and he sported a big, cheeped bucktooth.
And the most uncommon thing on him was his hair. He was short, but had a appearence that didn't had his monthly haircut. He had a little tuft protuding from the top of the head. Also, the hair flew like a small breeze constantly moved him, but none wind were coming from anywhere. Also, the color of the hair was one that Jordan had only seen in one person. White.
The boy standing in front of the class was without question, Lincoln Loud.
The students had their jaws dropped, even if not everyone knew Lincoln very much, all knew about his death, hell, it had been the talk of the school for weeks. But he was there, although a little different, he was there, alive. That Lincoln left a nervous laugh, seeing the reaction not the students.
"Hey guys... I'm Lincoln Loud! And I am be joining the school." Said the Lincoln, Girl Jordan didn't had enough self control and jumped of her chair, pointing to that Lincoln.
"HOW! YOU WERE DEAD! I WENT TO YOUR FUNERAL! I SAW YOU BEING BURIED!" She screamed, her eyes started to tear up, they runned around the class, almost everyone had a surprised look at her.
"Yeah, aren't you dead?" Asked a boy to Lincoln, who left another nervous laugh.
"Let's just say that my death was... Greatly exaggerated." Spoke Lincoln walking to his still empty seat on Clyde's side, like nothing had happened.
"So..." Spoke Chandler. "You faked your death?" Lincoln laughed nervously.
"Well mister Loud... Huh... I Wish you enjoyed your Huh... temporary retirement... So, anyway, let's start today's class..."
The class that day was nothing but tense, for Jordan anyway, when she looked at her colleagues, surprisingly, they swallowed that half-ass excuse? Or they didn't wanted to question. Lincoln being there was weird and creepy enough. But Girl Jordan couldn't think of another thing. She barely payed attention on the class, she just passed the whole time making brief glances at Lincoln.
He looked confused about the subjects they were studying. He looked at the notes Ms. Johnson made in the blackboard and back to his own notebook, he occasionally wrote on it, but still scratched his head.
When the bell rang, signaling the end of the first bunch of classes, the students got out of their desks and went to the cafeteria. And as Jordan was imagining, Lincoln's weird comeback, but weirded by it?
"Who could predict that Lincoln had faked his own death?" Commented Mollie, eating the sandwich she brought. Girl Jordan looked at her friend.
"What?" She Asked. "Is that what you think happened to him?"
"Is the most reasonable theory!" Explained Joy. "And Chandler asked him about this and he didn't denied."
"But don't confirmed eather." Remembered Jordan. "I don't know, I think something weird is going on..." She looked across the cafeteria, gazing at Lincoln, who was with Clyde, Rusty, Liam, Zack and, talking and laughing in one table. This was bugging Girl Jordan.
Lincoln was dead. She remembered like yesterday when she eavesdropped his conversation with her friends. She remembered the coughs he released, how weak he looked. The last days he went to school he needed a stick to walk!
She was devastated at that sight. She wasn't a great friend of him, but look at someone deteriorating in health like that... She attended his funeral! She saw his corpse!
And he was there. Alive. She couldn't believe. She didn't wanted to believe. She didn't want to believe that all that suffering she saw was false.
Again, without controlling herself, she got up from the bench and stomped her way to the table Lincoln and his friends were. When they noticed Jordan approaching, they shifted herselves on their seats to look at her.
Girl Jordan angrily scolded Lincoln. Her gaze alone made Lincoln shrink on his seat. "Hi... Girl Jordan..."
"Look here Loud." Spoke Jordan scaring Lincoln. "I don't know what happened to you, but that lame excuse about forge your death don't foul me!" Girl Jordan poked Lincoln's chest. "Something weirth is going on with you and I will find out what!" Saying that, Jordan turned around and went back to the table her friends were.
After some seconds, Clyde broke the awkward silence.
"Should we tell her?" Lincoln shrugged.
"Maybe not, if we tell her, she will spread to the whole school, and the headache that will ensue is not worth it." The Mysterians nodded in agreement. "And that excuse they came with is good enough for the majority of our colleagues. Surprisingly."
"Anyway, as we were talking, today, we can took to the treehouse the old sofa dad want to throw away." Spoke Rusty.
"That's a good idea Rusty!" Spoke Zack. Lincoln also remembered something.
"Hey, I talked with Lisa, and she will let me took a old generator she made some years ago, with it, we can have electricity there!" The kids cheered.
After that, the Mysterian Kids resumed their upbeat conversation, planing the decorations for the treehouse. But from afar, Girl Jordan was still watching them.
On that afternoon, after school, Lincoln went home in the Vanzilla. He had to admit, he missed riding on that old, barely put together family van. And his sisters definitely were happy that Lincoln was coming back home from school again.
As they arrived home, Lincoln put off his act of a normal kid, and floated up, phasing through the van's roof. After passing so long, he got used to float around instead of walking, but the young ghost knew that outside of his home, or he stayed invisible or he needed to walk.
"Man, I may be starting to became spoiled by my ability to float!" Spoke Lincoln as him and the sisters that had came with him from school entered the house.
"I kinda envy you Bro." Said Luna. Walking upstairs. Lincoln flew through the ceiling, popping on Lisa's room, scaring the young scientist.
"Lincoln! You really need to announce your presence when you're going to appear near someone like this!"
"Sorry Lis, But I came to pick the generator." Said Lincoln. Lisa pointed at the old generatoron the corner of the room, already fully desconected of the lisa's equipment. "Thanks Lisa!"
"Brother, before you go, could you do me a little favor?" Spoke Lisa, with test tubes in hands. Lincoln looked at the tubes and instantly figured out what was.
"Seriously Lisa? You want to make tests with me?"
"You know me brother, I want to at least try to explain your situation scientifically. And this will take only a minute." Pleaded Lisa.
"Ok Lisa, I too want to know more anyway." Spoke Lincoln.
"Thank you Lincolln, so... Spit on this tube." She handed a test tube to him.
"Ok..." Then he spitted on the tube. And handed the tube back to Lisa.
"Thank you, now, let me to collect a sample of your blood." Lincoln flinched when he suddenly felt a needle going on his arm. Then, she collected his blood. "Thank you brother, you can go now." Spoke Lisa, putting the sample of blood on a refrigerator.
"This is it?" Asked Lincoln.
"Well, I need to you make a x ray to see if your bone structure is different from a human, But we can do that later." Lincoln gave his sister a smile and walked over to the generator and with a bit of effort he lifted it.
"Huh, I thought it was heavier." Commented Lincoln.
"Huh Lincoln, this weights 1102 pounds." Lisa pointed to the pushcart. "I was going to help you get on the pushcart and transport it with Vanzilla."
Lincoln looked down to the generator on his hands. "I think I don't need it." He floated to the window. "I'm going to the treehouse!" the ghost boy flew of the window, becaming invisible, but the generator in his house not. As he flew across Royal Woods, people saw the generator flying on the sky.
When he arrived the grove, he saw Rusty, Liam and Zack caring the sofa that Rusty spoke about on school. Lincoln flew down and became visible.
"Hey guys." Greeted Lincoln, the three red heads looked at him.
"Heya Lincoln!" Greeted Liam. "We're moving Rusty's sofa to the treehouse." Explained.
"Yeah! Oh, that's the generator you said?" Zack pointed at the generator at Lincoln's hands.
"It is! You just need to put this solar panel on the roof and it can generate energy!" Lincoln said.
"Cool!" Said Rusty. "You can put the generator on treehouse, and after, can you help us?" Asked.
"Of course!" Lincoln flew up again, arriving at the treehouse, Where Clyde and Stella were. They were setting decorations on the treehouse. They already had humg Ace Savvy posters and a were putting a rug on the floor. "Hey! I got the generator!" Lincoln greeted flying inside the treehouse.
"Hello Lincoln!" Greeted Stella, hanging a wooden plank to use as a shelf.
"Here Lincoln, give it to me." Said Clyde picking the generator from Lincoln's hands, but the weight was too heavy for the McBride kid and he instantly fell on the floor with the generator.
"Clyde! You're alright?" Said Lincoln, picking back the generator.
"That thing didn't looked so heavy..." Said Clyde getting back on his feet. "By how effortlessly you are holding."
"Yes, Lisa said that this thing weights more than 1000 pounds!" Spoke Lincoln.
"Wow." Spoke Both Clyde and Stella. "How you are holding it?" Questioned Clyde amazed.
"Ghost strength I guess." Spoke Lincoln putting the generator in a corner of the treehouse.
"But you didn't have it! Or do you had?" Asked Stella pointing the hammer she had on hands to Lincoln.
"No, I didn't had. This could've been useful fighting that ghost yesterday." Lincoln detached the solar panel of the generator and flew outside putting the panel on the roof. Then, he connected the energy cable on it. He went back inside and connected the other end of the cable on the generator. "Here." He said. "Now, he is storing solar energy for when it's night."
"Neat!" Said Stella.
"Now, I'll help the guys with the couch." Said Lincoln. The boy flew back to help the boys with the couch. With some effort, he lifted the sofa alone.
"WHAT THE HELL!" Screamed Rusty surprised.
"Cool right?" Said Lincoln. He slowly flew up, the additional weight of the sofa was making a little hard for Lincoln get out of the ground. He flew to the treehouse.
"Hey! Where I put the sofa?" Asked Lincoln from outside.
"What the..." Muttered Clyde after seeing Lincoln with the sofa over his head. "huh... Put here close to the wall." Clyde pointed the spot and Lincoln maneuvered the sofa for him being able to pass through the balcony door hole. As he positioned himself on the spot, he phased through the floor, slowly lowering the sofa into position. Phasing back up afterwards.
"Great Lincoln!" Said Stella. Lincoln smiled, as he heard the other three Mysterians climbed up the trapdoor.
"Wow! This place is getting cool!" Said Zack as he popped from the trapdoor.
"Yeah! I can bring my comics here for the shelves!" Said Rusty pointing at the shelves that Stella had installed.
"The HQ is getting neat." Spoke Clyde. He looked at the generator and wondered something. "We have the generator, but what we do with it?"
"Lana can install lights here." Spoke Lincoln. "She wanted to see the treehouse anyway, she can help us with that." Complemented seating on the sofa.
"And what we going to do with that ghost hunting stuff?" Asked Zack. Getting the attention of the others.
"I wish we didn't need to do this type of thing again." Said Lincoln with a serious tone.
"Well, also as I Lincoln, but if things got messy with ghosts, they can call us!" Said Rusty.
"Don't get cocky Rusty. All you done yesterday was scream and curse the principal." Spoke Zack, getting a scold look of Rusty.
"He's right." Said Stella, surprising Zack and Rusty.
"Hey!" Rusty spoke at the girl.
"No, not that." Stella assured to Rusty. "Apart from the distraction you made, we didn't did a lot, to be honest, Lincoln did the majority of the work, We just gave you the amulet." Explained Stella.
"And because he losed it." Pointed out Clyde.
"Thats right." Said Stella. "We could had made that sworn to be right on Lincoln's back but we can't do much." The three red heads lowered their heads. Lincoln stood silent for some moments and had an idea.
"Hey, Lisa is going to do some experiments and I provided her spit and blood, maybe she can figure a way to make you all more useful!" They looked at Lincoln. "Maybe if she know more about ghosts, she can build some ghost hunting gear for us!"
"Seriously Lincoln?" Spoke Zack. "That is a super cool idea!" Lincoln smiled at seeing his friends being so exited. He looked through the window. The sun was already setting down. For some odd reason, Lincoln also felt that excitement. Maybe that ghost hunting stuff will be fun.
The rest of the week was rather uneventful for Lincoln. "Apart from having to hidden his current position from people. Often, he caught Girl Jordan facing him from afar, like she was trying to figure out what was going on with him. He really wished she didn't did that, that was creepy.
On Tuesday, Lincoln took Lana to the treehouse for her to install light bulbs. She was astounded by the size of the treehouse. When her work was done, Lincoln took her to eat ice cream.
Wednesday, Lincoln heard on the news that weird insidents were being reported all around town. This made Lincoln uncomfortable. From what he heard, no one got hurt. Yet. In the same day, when Lincoln was watching TV with his sisters, they watched a commercial for a doll. That doll was very amazing, it had fully moveable limbs and interchangeable clothes. It had realistic hair, face movement and even talked! But it was a limited edition, it was going to be sold in little quantities. What made them very expensive. Of course that doll made Lola go crazy.
"MOM! Can I have the Livy doll? Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeease!" Asked Lola to her parents.
"I don't know sweetie, it's very expensive." Said Lynn Sr.
"Please, please, please, please!" begged the little princess.
"Ok Lola, but you'll need to wait until your birthday!" Said Rita.
"But mom! It's a limited edition! It'll be out of the marked soon! And my birthday is in four months!"
"I'm sorry Lola, but you'll need to wait." Said the father, ending the discussion.
In that night, the family to prepare for the voyage to Sweden, to Lisa receive her Nobel.
On Thursday, Lincoln watched again news about paranormal activities around the town. Lincoln again bacame concerned. But his worries faded when Leni from all people, presented Lincoln with a wooden carved plaque that had "The Mysterian Kids" carved in it.
"This is for you Lincie! Like, it gave me a lot of work, but it's fine! You can hung it on the treehouse!"
"Thank you Leni! This is so cool!" Said Lincoln hugging his older sister.
Friday, Lincoln was very excited for the voyage to Sweden he was doing the next day, he also hunged the Mysterian plaque right above the sofa in the HQ, surprising his friends when they came.
Lincoln woke very early on the Saturday, before the sun rose, all the Louds woke that early actually, they did they daily morning rituals and six o'clock sharp they were driving to the airport. Ready for their flight to Sweden.
This chapter start with the perspective of Girl Jordan, and she will be a recurring character for this point on. And The Mysterian Kids also improved the treehouse, a place that will be rather important. This next few chapter will be centered in Lisa, she is going to receive her Nobel. Until next chapter!
