DISCLAIMER: I do NOT own The Loud House

"Lisa, are you sure this is safe?" Asked Lincoln, he was strapped into a table with two Tesla coils looking orbs in poles right in front of him. Lisa had built that contraption to test the technology she was developing by Lincoln's request. The Tesla coils glowed in a mix of neon Green and Orange sparkles.

"Don't worry Lincoln, the orbs are calibrated to just a small percentage of it's full power." Lisa patted the Coil.

"Ok, but why the straps though? I need to became intangible to test the machine." Lincoln raised one of his arms of it's straps, showing he was intangible at the moment. Lisa made a nervous grin.

"Hehe, I know, it just, not the same thing if the subject isn't strapped in some way." Said Lisa, walking behind her computer to check again if it was everything right to start the test. "Are you ready brother?" She Asked.

"Ready." Confirmed Lincoln giving a thumbs up. Lisa nodded, putting protective goggles and started typing in the Computer.

"Ok, Ecto Generator Coil, test 1. Start." She said, pressing enter in the computer.

The two orbs started glowing even brighter, and the sound of them building up energy started to emerge. Lincoln gulped as between the two orbs, a small ball of energy, green in color appeared and started to grow.

"All right, the slug was been generated successfully." Stated Lisa. "Initiating second phase."

As soon as Lisa triggered a bottom in a detonator like box which was connected to the orbs by a cable, the slug shot in Lincoln's direction. A small ripple of energy flung back and Lincoln cried in pain. The light that the ripple made was bright enough to illuminate the front yard of the house by the open window to the dark night out of there.

"OK, WHAT'S ALL THE NOISE COMING FROM HERE?" Lori stormed into the room, still in her sleep wearing. She had been trying to sleep, but all the noise was holding her and pretty much every sister else woke.

Her expression turned from annoyed to a mixture of surprise and fear, as she saw Lincoln fallen from the straps into the ground, unconscious as smoke emanate from him. Lisa made a nervous laugh.

"Hehe... I think I miscalculated the discharge made by the machine just a little bit..." She said shyly as Lori slowly picked Lincoln out of the ground and walked of the room, giving a terrifying glare to Lisa as she turned to the hall.

"Geez Lincoln." Muttered Lori to her unconscious brother. He was still fuming smoke. And his body was very warm. This wasn't something she would normally notice, but his return of the dead, his body had a very low temperature. Everytime she touched him, she felt his cold skin. This probably was one of the signs of ghostiness.

As Lori opened the door of Lincoln's room and settled him in his bed, she gave a good look at him. His body temperature wasn't the only thing that would sign his current state. His skin had been very pale, almost looked like he had skin problem. Or maybe was his blood that wasn't pumping in his veins.

Lori placed a hand in his chest, trying to feel his heartbeat. It was low, and almost unnoticeable, but she still could feel it. Lori sighed and proceeded to remove his shoes and pulling his blanket over him.

She gave her little brother a last look before turning off the light and closing his door.

In the dinner of Friday, Lynn Sr. Had made

a glorious meatload and while some of the kids enjoyed it's meal silently, others, the majority, were chatting and playing, showing why their namesake.

Lana was the one who was one who was the most excited, chatting nonstop how she was excited about her trip to the zoo the next day.

"Oh, how I wished I could wrestle the Nile crocodiles!" She spoke, daydreaming about a imaginary match of her against a giant Nile crocodile. Lori snorted at this statement.

"It would eat you in one bite." Said Lori, smirking.

"Is this a challenge?" Said Lana, leaning over the table, with a confident grin in her lips.

"No it's not." Spoke Rita rigidly. "You will NOT wrestle a Line Alligator, you heard Lana?" Spoke The mother, pointing to Lana.

"Yes Mommy..." Said Lana frowning to her plate.

"Lynn, keep an eye on Lana, don't let her have ideas." Said Rita to her husband.

"Don't worry honey, this trip will go as smooth as butter in the frying pan!" Assured the dad, placing a hand on the table not noticing he placed his hand inside the gravy. Rita looked at his husband and turned it Lana.

"And Lana, keep an eye on your dad." Lana nodded.

In the next day, Lana and Lynn departed to the zoo after lunch. Lincoln wanted to use the afternoon to relax a little. He had used the morning helping Lisa in their project. In other words, used again as test subject.

This time however, Lisa had properly regulated the Orbs for a safe test in living subjects. But again Lisa made a mistake, resulting in Lincoln getting set on fire.

Lincoln still felt the burns rubbing against his clothes. Being a ghost hadn't much plusses apart from his powers, but had to be fair. Being able to endure Lisa's experiments and leaving good was one. But his regeneration wasn't as fast as he wanted though.

He was laying in his bed he looked at his window, and saw the sun light getting dark, this meant the day was ending. Probably Lana and his dad were in their way back home. Lincoln closed his eyes, deciding to take a power nap before dinner, but someone knocked at his door. The boy grunted for being interrupted. "I can't get a break!" muttered before asking. "Who is it?"

"It's me Lincoln." Lincoln heard his mother's voice coming from the other side. Confused, Lincoln say on his bed and spoke.

"Come in." He said as Rita opened the door, with the kitchen phone in her hand. "What's up mom?" Asked.

"It's your father. He wants to talk with you." Said Rita, handing the phone to Lincoln

"Why?" Asked Lincoln, looking at his mom.

"I don't know, he didn't wanted to tell me what happened. I hope it's nothing bad." Responded Rita. Lincoln shrugged and put the phone in his ear.

"Hey dad?" Spoke Lincoln.

"Lincoln, listen, you can't tell your mother what I am about to tell you!" Lincoln frowned a eyebrow, after hearing that.

"What?" Lincoln said, looking at his mother, who looked back.

"What'd he said?" Asked. Lincoln shrugged his shoulders.

"And don't freak out, Ok Lincoln?" Spoke Lynn by the phone.

"Ok.?" Responded Lincoln unsure.

"The animals here in the zoo went loose! Someone opened all the cages, releasing every animal!" Said Lynn.

"What! Really?" Said Lincoln concerned.

"Everyone had to evacuate, but I missed Lana! I don't know where she is! You need to come here and help me find her" Spoke Lynn nearly crying.

"Ok! I'll do it!" Said Lincoln Nodding to himself.

"And remember Lincoln, don't tell your mother, she won't trust me to be alone with the girls again if she discovers I missed Lana in a zoo with loose dangerous animals! Oh, I am in the porta potty near the entrance!" Spoke Lynn.

"Don't worry dad." Said Lincoln as Lynn ended the call.

"What your father said? Something bad happened?" Asked Rita concerned as Lincoln handed her the phone.

"Uh... Lincoln spoke, trying to formulate a lie on the fly to not look suspicious. "Dad said the crocodiles were beautiful, and they were able to see they feeding."

"Really? So why he wanted to talk to you?" Asked Rita, confused.

"Uh, dad wanted me to, uh, pick the trashbags he left in the garage earlier, better I go do what he asked!" Said Lincoln, phasing through the bed and floor, directly to the first floor, scaring Luan, who was in the kitchen.

"Sorry Luan." Said Lincoln, flying away from the house. "I really can't take a break!" Thought Lincoln as he flew across Royal Woods, in direction to south, where the zoo was localized.

Lincoln landed right at the entrance of the zoo. As his dad said, it was empty. Only Vanzilla was parked near a tree, in the parking lot. Lincoln crossed the tickets booth and phased through the gate and turned his head to a porta potty that looked trembling.

Lincoln rolled his eyes smiling a little and walked down to the porta potty and knocked at the door. Lincoln heard a low yelp and the door opened slightly, as Lynn saw his son, he sighed releaved.

"Thank God you're here Lincoln!" Said, exiting the porta potty.

"How did you lose Lana?" Asked Lincoln with a scowl. Lynn was caught by surprise by Lincoln asking right away.

"Uh... During the commotion, I lost the grip on her hand, and she was left behind..." Said Lynn, hubbing the back of his head. Lincoln sighed.

"Ok, let's find Lana and get out of-" Lincoln was interrupted by a far away noise, it sounded like a bunch of low pitched squawk. Lincoln and Lynn looked in that direction. A dozen of emperor penguins were waddling in formation, squawking like horns.

"Penguins?" Said Lynn and Lincoln in unison, catching the attention of the penguins, who squawked loudly, like a fire alarm, and waddled fiercely in their direction, their eyes glowing green.

"Oh come on, I don't want to hurt a penguin!" Said Lincoln, before one of the penguins jumped and bit Lincoln by the hand, and didn't wanted to let it go. "Ouch ouch!" Lincoln, panicking, didn't went intangible, he shook his hand, also shooking the penguin back and forth.

Eventually, the penguin's grip broke, and the penguin flew backwards, tumbling the other penguins like bowling pins, leaving Lincoln's hand with a v shaped cut that was bleeding very much. The penguins took a few moments to get back up, that time was enough to Lincoln grab his father by the arm and flew up, away from the penguins.

They heard a scream from a girl. Lana. She was hanging in a high branch of a tree that adorned the pathway of the zoo. Surrounding the tree, a Lion walked back and forth, looking at Lana, like if was waiting for the branch to break.

"LANA!" Shouted Lynn, getting the attention of the lion, who Roared at the two, but just got his attention back at Lana.

"Lincoln! Dad! The branch is breaking!" Said Lana. In fact, the branch where she was hanging, was starting to snap at the base. Lincoln released Lynn, making him fall in a bush, and flew in the direction of Lana.

The branch snapped seconds before Lincoln could grab her. But with a quick dive bomb, he grabbed her by the wrist. Lincoln sighed in relief, but the lion jumped and bit the untied shoelaces of Lana's shoe.

The strength of the lion made Lincoln and Lana fall down. As Lincoln's eyes rolled up, the time seemed to freeze as he saw the Lion, with the mouth open, fangs proctuding, ready to bite Lana, and possibly killing her in the spot.

Lincoln's eyes went red and with a quick swing, he punched the Lion in side of the head, making the lion fly.

The time seemed to return to normal as he and Lana hit the ground. "Lincoln! You punched a lion!" Said Lana amazed, hugging Lincoln. "For me!" Lincoln laughed and patted his sister's head, before hearing another roar.

"Oh, come on! I don't have one break!" Said Lincoln frustrated.

The lion was up again, glaring furiously to the two kids. His eyes glowing green. "Uh... Lana... I'm not a specialist, but I don't think lions have glowing green eyes." Commented Lincoln, getting up, ready to fight.

"And they don't! There's something wrong!" Said Lana.

"Lana. Where's the lion's den?" Asked Lincoln, still watching the lion. Lana looked confused for a second, before realizing what he was thinking.

"It's right there!" She said, pointing at her left.

"Good." Said Lincoln, before rushing in the direction. The animal Roared but didn't was able to do nothing when Lincoln using his point and middle fingers, phased his hands into the lion's head and entered it.

The lion Roared again, shaking his head. His eyes stopped glowing and the lion looked at Lana. The girl backed a little when the Lion walked to her. The girl was tiny near the lion, but the animal just bopped his head in Lana's shoulder. The eyes of the girl shined in excitement.

"Lincoln? It's that you?" Asked Lana amazed. The lion nodded and curved. Signing her to jump in his back. Her eyes shined again. "You... You want me to ride you?" She asked excited. The lion nodded. Lana jumped in place, in happiness, then cautiously climbed into the lion's back.

"Lana? Lincoln? GAAH!" the father got out of the bushes, he had hit his head and was unconscious for the last minutes, when she saw Lana in the back of the lion, he freaked and nearly fainted again.

"Wait dad! It's Lincoln!" Said Lana, petting the head of the lion. The dad still was trembling, but walked to the two.

"Lincoln?" Asked Lynn, the lion made a low growl and turned to the direction of the den end ran.

"WEEE! Shouted Lana as the lion jumped into the den, floating down, safely to the ground. The lion growled, signing to Lana to get off his back. She did so. The lion walked inside the cave, where other lion's where there, sleeping.

Lincoln got out of the lion, apprehensive, ready to fly away, catch Lana and leave the den. But the lion just looked at Lincoln and walked to the other lion's and laid down, ready to sleep. Lincoln tilted his head. This was odd. Just now the lion wanted to eat them.

The boy backed out of the cave, still starring at the lion's, he grabbed Lana and flew away from the den, flying down to where Lynn was.

"Ok, Lana is here, let's go home and don't tell your mother this happened ok?" Said Lynn motioning a step.

"Not yet dad, there's something weird happening here. That penguins and the lion, they attacked us for no reason. Their eyes were green. I bet it's a ghost's work." Said Lincoln.

"You mean a ghost that is controlling the animals?" Asked Lana. Lincoln nodded. "But how we're going to find it them?"

"The lion didn't went back into control when it was inside the cave. I guess the ghost needs to see the thing is controlling." Said Lincoln, hubing his chin.

"Then, where he could be to be able to see the entire zoo?" Asked Lana.

"There sweetie." Said Lynn, pointing to the watch tower.

"The watch tower? Where the securities watch the entire zoo?" Asked Lincoln. "That's probably right." Said Lincoln.

"Let's go!" Said Lana, before a loud howl, the three looked back, seeing four black wolves, growling to them. Their eyes were also glowing.

"Okay, who let the dogs out?" Said Lynn before Lincoln grabbed him and Lana and flew away before the wolves pounced.

They landed at the door of the watch tower. "Let's end this." Said Lincoln, kicking the door open, using his strength to pull it out of it's hinges.

"Well, well, well, you found me!" Said a ghost with long hair. "why can't you just go away? It's not natural to animal be in cages! They have to he free! They há-" The ghost's speech was interrupted by Lincoln, who delivered a strong punch on it's cheek, making him fly a little, falling in the ground.

"I really don't want to do this whole chit chat thing now. You have your motives, yare yare, I beat you." Lincoln got to the ghost, unconscious. Pulling the amulet and placing it in the ghost's forehead, and seconds later, he had already been sucked into the amulet.

"That was easy." Said Lynn seeing how anticlimactic the fight went. "At least, it's finally over."

"Not yet dad." Said Lincoln, getting off the watch tower and walking down the stairs. "I still need to got the animals back in their habitats." Lincoln sighed. "I can't get a break!"
