Season 1: Episode 2
Despite her efforts at being calm and collected in school, Clem couldn't get the image of those footprints outside her living room window out of her mind. It plagued her non-stop as she walked with the girls to their lockers. She wasn't as subtle at keeping things outwardly calm as she had hoped however for at that moment, Violet spoke up.
"Clem, is something wrong?"
She blinked and turned to Violet. "Huh, what, what do you mean?"
Becca sighed. "You're completely zoning out, girl. What's bothering you?"
Clem quickly swallowed and composed herself. "Nothing, really, I'm fine. I was just, thinking is all."
The other four girls shared a worried look but said nothing, even so it was clear they didn't fully buy her story.
Desperate to change to subject Clem said. "So um, you guys up to anything after school?"
They all sighed, noting her obvious attempt but finally began giving simple plans that they had in mind.
"Well, since Shel's home, me and my family were gonna go out to eat tonight." Becca offered.
Sarah shrugged. "I don't really know, dad said he might have to work late tonight."
Brody smiled lightly. "Well, I'm gonna head to the tennis club, see if I can get a few games in."
"I'll be doing the same with the local pool." Violet admitted.
They all smiled and Clem managed to relax a little.
"Well, hope that all works out for you guys. I'll be babysitting tonight." She explained cheerfully.
So they reached their lockers and began getting their books and such, but despite Clem's efforts the other girls hadn't forgotten how she had been acting.
But then a new distraction came along when they heard the loud clang of someone being shoved into a locker and turned around, as a familiar male voice spoke up.
"Oops, wanna watch where you're going Garcia."
Brody bit her lip as she saw the speaker, a tall somewhat stocky with muscle young man with a blonde, slightly ragged looking, mullet, green eyes and fair skin.
'Marlon…' She thought.
Standing next to Marlon Chase was another boy. A tall eighteen year old young man with medium length brown hair parted over his left eyebrow, brown eyes and fair skin, Mitch Daymond. They were once again hassling Gabriel Garcia. Somewhat tall but not as much as the other two, with short messy brown hair, brown eyes and tanned skin from his Cuban heritage, a toned athletic build and, once again as per usual was wearing his orange beanie. Watching things unfold with a smirk as the two boys bullied Gabe was Rondi. Also watching but not smirking, while not intervening either were five others the girls knew. Four boys and a girl, the girl at least was glaring in disgust while the boys seemed awkward. The first boy was Louis Sulieman, tall with medium length dreadlocked brown hair and brown eyes with light brown skin and a lanky build, the second boy was a slightly chubby dark skinned sixteen year old man with brown afro hair, brown eyes and a casual smile, Omar Silverstein. The third was lanky with short brown hair, brown eyes and fair skin with prominent ears, Kenny Hammon Jr. better known to those who were close to him as Duck. The final boy was dark skinned with Indian heritage, tall and toned with short black hair and black eyes, Aasim Rajan. Meanwhile the girl was Ruby Hillis, a chubby girl no taller than five foot six with short red hair and blue eyes, pale skin with freckles.
Turning away from the sight of her boyfriend and his best friend Mitch bullying Gabe, Brody began to walk to class, the others followed and then, after a pause Brody spoke up.
"Do you girls, really believe it's true about Gabriel Garcia?"
Wiping her hands on her plaid schoolgirl miniskirt Clem thought for a moment. "What exactly do you mean?"
Becca however scoffed. "Um, hello, of course I do, think about it. He's a creep, going around with that camera everywhere, probably taking pictures of the girls locker rooms. I'll bet he's try to take pictures up ours skirts at times."
Sarah bit her lip. "I think Brody meant the rumour about him getting caught...you know, with a teacher."
"Mrs. Matthews did leave rather suddenly before word about Gabe spread." Violet conceded.
They remained quiet after that, all of them thinking worriedly about the rumours, yet despite the conviction in Becca's tone especially, Brody couldn't be so certain. She was sure something didn't quite fit here. But she couldn't bring herself to say anything about it, at least not yet.

After a full and busy day at school, Clementine smiled as she walked down the sidewalk, all her former troubles from earlier in the day either forgotten or pushed to the back of her mind.
'Well, just got to get to my babysitting job now, not that babysitting AJ is a job, kid's so much fun to be around.' She thought happily.
But as she was walking towards the house she happened to glance over her shoulder and what she saw nearly made her freeze. There was a car, moving ever so slowly, as if trying to not give itself away, but it was certainly following her. She did her best to act casual as if she hadn't seen and continued to walk, but she made sure to check on any reflective surface she passed and sure enough, to her horror, it was following her. She knew she had to act fast and so, with barely a moment to think of a plan she simply acted. With surprising ease, Clem quickly vaulted a nearby fence, entering into the alleyway behind it and quickly ran, now out of sight of the car and hurrying to her destination, the alleyway actually providing a surprising short cut. She heard the car speed up and she paused and waited, hiding from view as it sped past then took her chance and ran all the way to her destination. She finally reached the house and looked around, no sign of the car anywhere. Smiling and calming down she knocked on the door and waited as it was finally answered.
When the door opened Clem smiled in greeting to the tall broad-shouldered man who answered. He had short dark brown hair and a beard, brown eyes and dark skin.
"Ah, Clementine, glad you made it." Alvin Lockett greeted her.
"No problem." She replied warmly as she stepped inside.
They walked through to the living room where AJ sat, a typical excitable five year old with light brown skin, brown afro hair with matching brown eyes, skinny but still having some baby fat.
"Clem!" He cried happily.
He leapt from the sofa and ran up to hug her, she laughed and hugged him back.
"Hey kiddo." She greeted him happily.
They heard a light laugh and sure enough there was AJ's mother, Rebecca, a woman of medium height with light brown skin, curly brown hair and dark brown eyes.
"Well, you two have fun okay, we'll be back about nine, okay." She said, addressing Clem at that last part.
Clem nodded. "Sure thing, no worries."
After arrangements were fully made and everything was ready, Alvin and Rebecca left while Clem turned to AJ who was back to watching cartoons. With a soft laugh she decided to check something before joining him. She peeked out the window and then froze.
'No way, no fucking way!?' She thought in horror.
She fought to suppress a gasp and keep herself calm as she nodded to AJ and slipped back out of the room, for she had just seen the car again, parked outside the house. Warily she pulled out her phone and dialled a number, she waited until the ringing stopped and said quickly but quietly.
"16. FA924. I need help."
That was all she needed to say.

At the Garcia home, Gabe finally returned home, scowling.
'Urgh, another day, it's just ridiculous, you'd think they'd have better things to do than hassle me because of some stupid rumours...how anyone could believe any of that, I…' He thought to himself darkly.
"Gabe?"
He tensed and looked around to see who had spoken and smiled. A girl four years younger than him with the same tanned skin, medium length brown hair and eyes and skinny. It was his younger sister, Mariana.
"Hey Mari."
She quirked an eyebrow. "What's wrong?"
He tensed again. "I...nothing."
"Gabe, we've noticed." Mari remarked.
"We?"
In answer to that, two other members of his family stepped in, a medium height woman with long brown hair, green eyes and fair skin with a slender build and a tall broad-shouldered man with brown hair and a beard and brown eyes, his step-mother Kate and his uncle Javier. His father David was currently on deployment so wouldn't be home.
"Gabe, we're just worried about you." Kate began.
Javi nodded. "You know you can talk to us, right?"
"There's nothing to say, really." Gabe insisted. "Anyway, um, excuse me. I need to go put my stuff away."
With that he hurried up to his room while the others watched him go worriedly.

Clementine did her best to remain outwardly calm, she sat on the sofa, just watching the TV. It was late, AJ was in bed and it wouldn't be long before Alvin and Rebecca would return. Sure enough at that point she heard the door opening and made her way to greet them.
"Hey." She greeted them, relieved.
They both smiled and Rebecca spoke up.
"Ah, Clementine, how did it go?"
Clementine nodded. "It was good, AJ behaved himself."
Alvin chuckled. "He always does for you."
"Well, we won't keep you any longer." Rebecca said, making sure to pay Clem for her babysitting.
Thanking them Clem headed out and wiped her hands nervously on her skirt and looked around. Her phone then beeped and she checked it, a triangle symbol had been sent to her, she knew what it was and pocketed her phone again. Swallowing she began to walk down the street, followed by a car.

The following day, at school, Violet bit her lip as she noted something and began to get concerned.
"Hey guys, have any of you seen Clem yet?" She asked.
They all paused and shared a worried look before looking back to Violet.
"We...we thought you'd have seen her. You live nearest to her." Brody admitted worriedly.
Violet shook her head. "No, I didn't see her, you mean, she's not here?"
"That's not like her." Sarah remarked. "Clem never misses school, where could she...maybe something happened?"
"I don't think so, we know she was babysitting last night, so I don't see what could have happened." Becca remarked.
This left the girls all confused and, as the day went on, growing more and more anxious. By lunch time they were all very worried as Clem still hadn't shown up, word was spreading around the school and everyone was whispering amongst themselves as many wondered just where Clementine had disappeared too.
The fact that Clem didn't show up the whole day at school and they had heard absolutely no word from her left the four girls panicked. Panicked enough that they were now all outside Clementine's house and knocking on her door. It didn't take long for the door to open and a frantic looking Diana answered.
"Oh, you...it's your girls. Sorry, I thought." She stammered.
That left the girls all nervous and finally Violet asked. "Um, Mrs. Hutchison, what's wrong, where's Clem, we didn't see her at all today?"
"You, you haven't heard…" Diana whispered before revealing. "She didn't arrive home last night, we've just come back from the police station and filed a missing person's report."
That left them frozen, the full horror of what Diana just said hitting them like a slap to the face.
End of chapter, hope you enjoyed it, read and review please.
