Bella POV
As normal, it was raining, encouraging the already too much green to increase. Forks, the place I've grown to love, or is it just a certain vampire family in it?
Which every one you choose, I was sitting at the kitchen table reading my favourite book, Withering Heights. My clearly amused boyfriend close by. Edward Cullen.
" Bella, how many times are you going to read that book?" he questioned, a smirk on his perfectly handsome face.
I sighed, closing my all-time favourite book and stared into his perfect features, my heartbeat quickening. I knew he only said that to draw my attention.
A smile played on his lips and, like the embarrassing human I am, colour rushed to my cheeks. I looked down, trying to cover myself with a layer of brown hair. He was at my side in a few seconds, cupping my face in his cold hand and bringing his lips closer to mine for a kiss. Like always, I went overboard, raping my fingers into his bronze hair. He pulled away, easily unlocking my obviously too greedy fingers.
He started at me, and before I could mumble out a sorry, a mask of worry crossed his face. Probably seeing the confusion in my eyes, he said, "Bella, you're burning up".
I wasn't too shocked hearing this because I wasn't feeling how I was supposed to. I had a minor headache and was too tired for a 2pm Monday. (I don't really know when their school comes out) With Edward being an overprotective vampire, I didn't want him to know that. Good thing he couldn't hear my thoughts, or else my lie would be even easier to detect.
"Edward I'm fine"
He gave me a disapproving look that at the same time said everyone knows, you're a terrible liar. His smug expression only had a trace of worry left.
I grumbled, "fine; I have a tiny headache, nothing to worry about," I pulled the chair back and slowly signalled that I was going to my room to rest. I was in Edward's arms in seconds, travelling up the stairs at vampire speed.
Before I could deliver my train of complaints, I was on my bed, wrapped snuggle in a quilt. Sighing, I closed my eyes, tiredness and sleep consuming me.
I could feel myself drifting back to reality as the sunlight shown on my sweet coated face. My eyes fluttered open only to meet the stare of an extremely worried vampire.
My head was pounding and my stomach swirling. I tried sitting upright and was caught in a whirl of dizziness. I looked up into Edward's concerned face, pointing to the bathroom at the same time. Furthermore, I don't know if it was the pointing or the greenish colour of my face that gave him the message.
I was in a pair of cold arms running towards the bathroom in a brief second. I pressed my steadily heating face against his chest, relieving the headache slightly.
As my bare feet touched the cold tiles, I dropped to my knees, elevating the toilet set at the same time. I threw up my last remaining fluids. After the embarrassment was over, I turned my body towards him and pushed my head against the bathtub.
I was trying to mumble out a sorry when Edward said, "I'm calling Carlisle." The phone was against his ear before I had the chance to say anything.
After he was done speaking to Carlisle, he asked," Bella sweetheart, where do you keep the thermometer?"
I was frustrated that he called Carlisle asking for good advice on how to take care of me when I clearly had just a silly cold. I grumbled," This is so unnecessary, Edward, but if you need to know, in the bathroom cabinet. " In the end of my rant, I couldn't help but notice the raspy ness of my own voice. Maybe I was sicker than I assumed.
I presume he grabbed the thermometer at vampire speed because soon enough he was trying to push it into my mouth. I unwilling excepted the metal stick and as it was pushed underneath my tongue a stabbing pain consumed me.
I moaned as my muscles tensioned and pain shot through my body. It felt like needles were being pushed into my arms, legs, and stomach. As the pain lessened, I felt an immense tiredness overtake me.
I looked at Edward and saw his pained expression. He didn't return my gaze for a long time, and when he did, he broke into a heart wreaking sod. I could see the venom pooling in his honey coloured eyes, never to fall.
Something in me broke, and my own tears spilled, slowly sliding down my now wet cheeks. I guess the sickness and just seeing the one I love in so much pain was too much for my weak human body.
Edward seemed to notice my mental breakdown because I was in his lap a few minutes later, soaking another one of his shirts.
When I was done crying, I closed my tired eyes and fell into a troubled sleep...

I hope you like this fan fiction so far and continue reading when I update. This was my first fan fiction ever, and I'm usually too scared to share my writing with anyone, even my family, so don't be too hateful in the comments.
