Bella's POV
My eyes widened as a cough racketed through my whole body, shaking my already sore muscles.
It felt as me my very own body was against me, trying to rid itself of organs.
As the coughing impossibly worsened, I spotted Alice and Carlisle rushing into the room, out of my half closed eyes.
The three vampires were talking to each other, but I couldn't understand a word, and this time I was sure it wasn't because of vampire speed.
My senses were fading, just like in the dream.
The stop of my coughing fit would have been a relief if it was not for my slowing heartbeat.
Blackness danced at the edges of my vision, an erie white light beckoning me forward into unconscious. The only difference, this time it would be permanent.
Before darkness could complete take me for its self, I finally heard Alice talking, "We have to change her, now, before it's too late."
I heard a grunting sound come closer to my ear, moments before sharp teeth shank into my flesh like butter.
The burning began. After three days I would wake up a vampire.
Edward's POV
I was gripping Bella's hand, happy to have a view into her chocolate brown eyes after they stayed close for so many hours, when a coughing fit made her already delicate body shake.
With my last bit of strength I was prepared to wait a few seconds, but when it began worsening I yelled at Carlisle, knowing my entire family would hear.
Carlisle and Alice run in worry, written across their features.
Carlisle's mind was already in doctor mode and after assessing the situation only one thought was evident, she's not going to make it. Alice wasn't much positiver, and I had to bit back a growl. She was replying, a vision of my Bella with crimson red eyes.
As Alice yelled out her next sentence, I knew it was the only option, "We have to change her, now, before it's too late."
I brought my venom dripping teeth closer to her neck for that moment, not caring that I was doming her life forever.
As the venom spread, I bit her wrists, trying to shorten the process in any way.
I lifted my head only to see Carlisle inject morphine, trying to lessen the pain the girl beneath me will shortly experience.
After Carlisle was done, we had to get her out of here and tell Charlie that Bella was actually very sick, and he probably wouldn't see her again.
Then we would go to Alaska claiming hospitals are better there, stage her death and despair until the next generation of Forks people were left.
Edward's POV
I stared at the pale girl beneath me, worry floating on the surface, Bella has been experiencing immense pain for almost three days, and finally I could guaranty her to wake up and not close her eyes again.
Even if those eyes were red, and she was now mer seconds away from being a full on vampire.
The selfish part of me argued I would never have to worry about her health or some random thing like heart failure, hers beating its last at the moment. Us hunting side by side, her features forever like I know them now.
She was most of all getting something she has been begging for…
I was abruptly ripped from my thoughts as the bedroom door creaked open, twisting my face I saw my sister's face and secondly the rest of my family.
Alice whispered in an excited voice,"She is about to wake up! "
Grinning, I replied in a normal volume much to my sister's dismay, "I know her heartbeat is slowing. "
Just then, Bella's heart gave its last beat and her eyes shot open.
The moment her eyes landed on our tiny gathering, she jumped into a protive crouch, a low growl leaving her mouth.
I talked in a gentle voice, "Bella, it's okay, it's just us."
She nodded her head before jumping off the mattress and relaxing her posture. I couldn't help but notice her extremely attractive form and beautiful face. In response to my travelling eyes, she just smirked before saying,
" Edward "
Her voice velvety and angelic
In vampire speed, she rushed to my side before falling into my lap and wrapping her arms around my waist. Her breathing even and face buried in my shoulder. I inhaled deeply, her new scent invading my nostrils. After a while, I said,
" Bella, you probably thirst, want to go hunting? "
Before anyone could say anything, Alice talked from the doorway, reminding me from my families present,
"Not before dressing up!"
