Chapter 8.

Aftermath.

11:15 pm…

Jasper had to stop by a convenience store on his way out of town. Rachel had already taken off for Fresno with Dot. Jasper was the one to take Yakko and Wakko with him in his Cadillac Escalade. And as if currently, Yakko had gone in with Jasper. So Wakko was out in the Escalade by himself. Usually, Wakko would take shotgun when riding with Jasper, but since Yakko was with them, the middle child took the seat right behind Jasper. As for the reason why Wakko didn't go with Jasper and Yakko inside the store was because he had gotten tired. And just as he was about to drift off to sleep, Wakko was jolted awake as he heard a knock on the window of the door. He looked out of it and saw that it was just only Yakko. Wakko then laughed, mainly to himself.

"Hey, Wak? J-Dog wants to know what type of donuts you are wanting."

Wakko suddenly smiled. "Krispy Kreme donuts, and make 'em all chocolate."

Yakko suddenly smirked.

"Okay! Will tell him baby bro," he said as he ruffled Wakko's cap.

However, Yakko didn't know what was about to happen to his baby brother…

The middle child only smiled. As he watched Yakko walk back into the 76 convenience store, Wakko rolled the window up and closed his eyes. And a moment later, he heard another knock. Wakko jolted awake again and grumbled, thinking that it was Yakko again. He looked out of it and saw that a blond haired man had knocked. Wakko immediately manually locked the door. And immediately, the sound of glass breaking rang too close to Wakko's left ear. Too close. As Wakko tried to gather his thoughts, he suddenly—and without warning—felt a very strong hand collide with his face. As Wakko grunted, the man with blond hair then grabbed his head and rammed it into the back of the driver's seat. Wakko immediately rolled his eyes into the back of his head as he felt the seat buckle get undone and then, he felt the strong hand once again pull him out of Jasper's vehicle. As soon as he felt himself hit the ground, Wakko barely opened his eyes, and weakly sputtered as he tried with all his might to catch his breath. Then Wakko felt his eyes flutter as he moaned softly. The man with blond hair then immediately lifted a booted foot over Wakko. And before the puppy child knew what was happening, Wakko suddenly grunted as the man stomped on his chest. Immediately, the puppy child sputtered again. Wakko softly moaned as he felt the pressure from the man's foot sink it's way into his chest. Wakko then managed to somehow barely—and weakly—open his eyes, and when he did so, he weakly studied the face of his attacker. But before he could even get the chance to study the man a little deeper, the man immediately lifted his foot off Wakko's chest, and only to stomp on it again. Wakko suddenly rolled his eyes into the back of his head, and the last thing he felt was the man with blond hair dragging him away from the vehicle.

Away from everything, and everyone he ever loved.

Then, Wakko gave in to the black void of unconsciousness…

11:20 pm…

Jasper and Yakko had just came out of the 76 convenience store, carrying a box of Krispy Kreme donuts for Wakko, and a half pound bag of trail mix for both Yakko and Jasper. The line was actually quite busy when they were in the convenience store. But now, as they were headed back to Jasper's Escalade, suddenly, an African American man ran up to them. And before Jasper could do anything, the man asked him a question.

"Sir? Do you happen to own a black colored Cadillac Escalade?"

Jasper, at this point, looked a little wary. "Yes. Why?"

The young man then answered him. "Your window's been shattered."

You're lying to me. Jasper thought.

Immediately, dropping everything they had bought, both Jasper and Yakko rushed back over to the vehicle. And soon enough, Jasper found out that the young African American was indeed, telling the truth. Jasper immediately told Yakko to go back inside the convenience store and call the police. But the eldest Warner wouldn't budge. Jasper then looked at him. Jasper was about to holler at Yakko when he saw what he was looking at. Jasper suddenly looked over to where Yakko was gazing at, then it immediately hit him. There, on the left side back door to his Escalade, was a broken window. The door also was ajar. But that wasn't it; both Yakko and Jasper suddenly realized right away that Wakko was missing. And almost immediately, Yakko let out a sob.

"Nooo!"

Yakko immediately dashed past Jasper and immediately searched the vehicle for any signs of his baby brother. But,there was none at all. Not a single trace of the middle sibling. None. Jasper had already gotten off the phone with the police when Yakko suddenly hit his knees and sobbed.

"No, no, no, no! It can't be!? Where's Wakko? He's gotta be around here somewhere! Oh God! I knew that I should've stayed with him!"

Jasper immediately knelt down beside Yakko and placed a hand on his back. Yakko suddenly jerked away from him, it wasn't because Yakko was being a total jerk—he wasn't—but it was just that he didn't want the comfort. Especially now that Wakko was missing, possibly abducted, or worse…

Suddenly, Jasper cleared his throat. "At least, it wasn't Dot."

Yakko suddenly cringed when he heard Jasper say that. If it was Dot that suddenly went missing, things would have been much worse. It wasn't that Yakko didn't care about Wakko, nor did he ever not love him—he did care about Wakko, and he did love his baby brother—but Yakko knew that if Dot was the one who had suddenly disappeared on them, things would definitely be worse. Suddenly, as Jasper still was comforting Yakko—or at least, trying to—the sound of police sirens could be heard blaring down the street from the convenience store. Yakko suddenly stopped sobbing and just closed his eyes. He immediately knew what would happen if the police were to get involved. They would say that Wakko had definitely been abducted by some creep. Or that Wakko had been possibly killed and was dragged off to some unknown location. Yakko hiccuped as he felt the sobs returning. He immediately squeezed his eyes shut as he tried not to let the tears fall down again.

11:30 pm…

The LAPD had an active crime scene rolled out at the 76 convenience store. And alongside Forensics, and Major Crimes. And it didn't help that the Toon Justice Unit was also involved. It wasn't that the Unit dedicated to helping toons wasn't good at their job at all, nor did they deserve their own Unit—they were, and they did—but after a busy night of helping the 32nd District Intelligence Unit bust a toon killer by the name of Harold Butler, they were definitely not expecting to respond to the scene of the possible abduction of a young toon. And serving as the head of the Toon Justice Unit was none other than Jason Sadusky, a very good, and old time friend of Liam Fontana. As he and Fontana's Units were the ones who had responded to the call, it became more evident that the toon who had just so mysteriously disappeared was actually, in fact, kidnapped. As Forensics were doing their job, Fontana and Chase were the ones asking both Yakko and Jasper questions about what had took place. And so far, they were getting the answers they needed.

"So, the toon that was abducted? Do you all know him, or not?" Chase asked Jasper.

Immediately, Yakko let out a gasp. "Wait? You said, abducted?"

Chase immediately eyed him.

"Yes, Yakko. It's evident now that the toon has been abducted. Why else would they just disappear the way they did?"

Yakko immediately lept from where he was sitting at, and he immediately stomped over to the LAPD detective. And immediately, Yakko got in Chase's face.

"Well, I refuse to believe that he was just abducted and all that! There's gotta be another explanation for why he disappeared!"

And with a gentle shove at Yakko, Chase asked him another question.

"Wait? How do you know that the toon is a male? Did you see it happen?"

Yakko suddenly felt himself on the verge of tears.

"B-bcause… the toon is none other than… oh my, my own… b-baby bro!"

And right there, in front of everybody, Yakko broke down and started sobbing his eyes out. Chase suddenly embraced Yakko and wrapped his arms around him in an attempt to comfort him. And after a few brief moments, Yakko was finally able to get himself to calm down. Chase then directed Yakko to a man wearing a black colored Darby hat and a brown colored leather tweed jacket. And immediately, the officer turned himself around and saw that Chase was standing there, and with a black colored puppy child toon wearing only brown slacks. Immediately, the officer motioned for Chase to bring himself and the toon forward. As soon as they got closer, the officer then spoke.

"So what do we got here now?" The officer asked.

"Someone here needs to tell you about what happened right here tonight."

The older officer then took one look at Yakko and then, he slightly smiled gently.

"Yakko Warner? From 'Animaniacs'?"

Yakko only nodded his head sadly. "Yes, sir."

The officer then spoke with a gentle voice.

"Detective Jason Sadusky. Toon Justice Unit. You have something to tell me?"

Yakko only nodded his head again. Then as Yakko told Detective Sadusky everything that had happened to Wakko, Chase wrote it all down onto a clipboard. Then as soon as Yakko got done explaining everything with Sadusky, Chase walked back over to Jasper's Escalade. However, Fontana immediately walked over to Chase.

"Did you get anything?" He asked the LAPD detective.

Chase nodded his head slowly. "Yeah, the toon abducted was none other than… Wakko Warner."

"And who told you this?" Fontana asked suddenly.

"His brother," Chase answered. "And no, Yakko and Kell were in the store when it all took place."

Suddenly, Washington and Chaney ran up to the two LAPD officers.

Then Chaney cleared his throat.

"Sarge, we got a positive on Wakko Warner. A witness said that he heard glass shattering, and that by the time it stopped, he went over to Kell's vehicle and saw that there was no one in the vehicle. But before the abduction took place, the witness said that he needed gas money, and that Wakko was kind enough to gave him twenty dollars' worth."

Fontana then eyed Chaney. "And where is this witness at now?"

Washington took a breath. "Talking with Layton, and Lopez."

Fontana immediately walked past her and headed to Layton's direction. And sure enough, he saw the witness—a young African American man, probably in his mid twenties—talking with Layton and Lopez. As Fontana approached them, Layton immediately directed the young man to the Sergeant. And from there, Fontana took over. The young man then told him everything he had just told Layton and Lopez. And as he got done explaining, Fontana had him brought back to Layton and Lopez. Then he walked over to Sadusky and cleared his throat as he saw his good friend talking with Yakko.

"Sorry gentlemen, I hate to interrupt, but we got a positive. It was an actual abduction, and the victim was none other than Wakko Warner."

Then Fontana eyed Yakko.

"First of all; just be glad it wasn't your sister. And second of all; I'm so sorry. I want to let you know that we're going to do everything we can to find him, but it's not going to be easy."

Suddenly, Sadusky cleared his throat.

"You said that the victim was none other than Wakko Warner. But then, who's his kidnapper?"

Fontana raised his hand. "Our witness said that the abductor supposedly had blond hair."

"Wait? You said blond hair?" Sadusky asked.

Fontana only nodded his head. "Yes."

Sadusky then took a deep breath. "The kidnapper is none other than Kenneth Domhler."

Fontana immediately looked at a photo of Kenneth Domhler that Sadusky showed him. And sure enough, the Intelligence Unit Sergeant knew right away that Wakko Warner's kidnapper was none other than Kenneth Domhler. And immediately, Fontana clapped his hands fiercely.

"Alright! I want every officer's attention, and now! We now know that a eleven year old toon has been abducted! I repeat, a young toon has been abducted! And by Kenneth Domhler! We need to be on the lookout for an adult male with blond hair tied up in a ponytail, and a black colored puppy child toon wearing a blue turtleneck sweater, and a red colored baseball cap that he wears backwards! Anyone who has information on anything related to tonight's scene needs to immediately dial 911! That's 911! Make sure that this gets out for the general public! I want Wakko Ryan Warner found! And I also want Kenneth Domhler found! He must not escape Los Angeles! Everyone copy!?"

Soon enough, everyone within the LAPD all hollered yes to Fontana's statement. And right there, Yakko knew that his baby brother had definitely been abducted, and by a toon hating creep. Yakko knew that he would have a lot of explaining to do with Dot about what became of Wakko. And he also hoped that wherever Wakko was, that he was safe, and not hurt.

Meanwhile…

The last thing Wakko remembered was him getting attacked by some, strange man. And that he had been dragged out of Jasper's vehicle, beyond that though, he couldn't remember what happened before he had been brutally attacked. As his mind was waking up, Wakko felt himself being dragged on his back, and on painful asphalt. And for some reason—despite the fact how much he tried—Wakko just couldn't open his eyes. He felt that someone had a hold of his ankles. As his mind formed an awareness that he wasn't in Jasper's vehicle anymore, Wakko suddenly inhaled sharply, and opened his eyes. He suddenly remembered what had happened to him. Then his mind formed an awareness that he had been kidnapped. Immediately, Wakko started kicking around until he felt that his feet hit something, or more like, someone's face. Immediately, whoever he kicked in the face growled, and quite angrily. Immediately feeling that his feet had been let go, Wakko immediately jumped to his feet and tried to make a dash for it. But then, very suddenly, his abductor grabbed a hold of him and roughly threw him back onto the ground. Wakko then tried getting up again, but not before the man suddenly stomped on his right side ankle. And immediately, Wakko yelled as he felt the heavy boot on his ankle. Instinct then took over as the puppy child then with his other foot, immediately tripped his abductor over. And as soon as the man fell backwards, Wakko jumped up again and tried to make a dash for it again. But just as quickly as he fell, the abductor got back up and took a hold of Wakko again. And this time—instead of throwing the puppy child toon back onto the ground—he held on to Wakko tightly.

And suddenly, Wakko started squirming as he felt the pressure of the man's strong arms around his body. Wakko suddenly started screaming as he tried to break free from the man's strong grip. As soon as the both of them—abductor, and abducted—got close to a red colored vehicle, the man suddenly turned around and immediately pinned Wakko to the side of the vehicle. And immediately upon impact, Wakko grunted as he felt his eyes roll into the back of his head. Then Wakko suddenly reopened them and right there, he grabbed a hold of his abductor's wrist, and before the man knew what was happening, Wakko suddenly bit down hard onto his hand. Immediately, the man yelled as he felt the toon's teeth sink into his hand. And then, just like that, the man suddenly grabbed Wakko by the throat—hoping to deprive the toon of oxygen. As Wakko felt the man's hand on his throat, he immediately squeezed his eyes shut and started gasping for air. This was exactly what the man wanted, for in that moment, Wakko immediately slid down the side of the vehicle, and right there, he collapsed onto the ground. Suddenly, the man opened up a door to the vehicle and as he picked up Wakko, he threw the toon into the back of the vehicle. Then he quickly shut the door and hopped into the driver's side of the vehicle— a red colored Oldsmobile Alero. Once the vehicle was started, the man drove off, and with one thought in his mind.

Stupid savage toon. He does that again, I'll shoot him.

The man with blond hair—know known as Kenneth Domhler—only gritted his teeth as he felt the pain shooting through his right hand from where and when Wakko had bitten him. Domhler immediately looked at the rearview mirror and saw that Wakko was laid out on the back seats of the vehicle, passed out. The man hoped that the police were not on his tail, or else… he would have to do away with the puppy child toon, just like he did four certain fox toons. If push came to shove, Domhler would have to do away with a Warner sibling…

Wakko Ryan Warner, as a matter of fact.
