This is a silly scenario I came up with.

Ouch.

I got hit by a truck, and now, darkness washed over me.

I felt like I was floating into nothingness...

"Hey. Are you okay?"

There stood a short girl with shoulder-length auburn hair.

I yelped. "Uh, I, uh..."

I thought I was really dead. Didn't expect the doctors to show up in time.

"It's alright! I stopped you with my Quirk."

What does she mean by quirk? Where am I? This huge building looks like an hospital from sci-fi movies.

The girl placed her hand on me, and I landed on my feet. Wait. Was I floating seconds ago?

"… Thanks."

"N-no need to thank me! I just did what was right!"

You're being too humble. No one thinks that way.

"Well, guess I'll see you inside. Bye!"

Ah, she might've taken my silence as something awkward. Actually, where am I supposed to go? She didn't even tell me.

A put a hand on my chin in thought.

I feel strange, but that's to be expected from recovery, but this place doesn't give me hospital vibes, oddly enough. I don't remember having green hair, nor this voice. This peculiar feeling may be from adapting to a new body.

Putting aside how I just spotted a guy with a huge tail sprouting from his lower back, it feels like I am in a normal school environment. Everyone's wearing uniforms and look to be teenagers… But that just works to confuse me even more.

"Out of my way, Deku."

A guy with blonde hair brought me out of my thoughts as he ran past me, pushing me on the hard-stone ground.

"-Ouch."

What a bully.

Caressing my behind as I slowly stand up, I began shivering anxiously.

I have absolutely no idea where to go! I'm not a student at this school… Or am I? I've already established that I am not in my usual body, but this scenario just doesn't make any sense.

I look into my side pockets to see if I had an identity card on me. Private schools usually hand out student cards and oh – I found it!

It says my name's Izuku Midoriya of Class 1-A.

Class 1‐A... 1‐A...

C'mon, where is it? Ah! There!

Didn't take me long to find it. Just as the name suggest, it is Class A on the first level after ground floor. Hope I'm not late.

The worst thing that could happen is unwanted attention drawn to me. I'm sure my classmates would find out if I were acting different than usual.

Man, this door is huge.

Are there giants here? Wouldn't be surprised after what I saw earlier.

"Take your feet off of that desk now!"

"Huh? What do you want, four-eye?"

"It's the first day and you're already disrespecting this academy by scuffing school property!"

The blonde guy grunted. "Your old school put a stick up your ass or were you born with it?"

I was greeted by the sight of a tall, studious-looking boy with glasses arguing with the rough blond boy that pushed me earlier.

Well, that's a nice start… Good thing glasses mentioned this was the first day. Saves me lots of trouble…

"Let's start over. I'm Tenya Iida from the Somei Private Academy."

Blondie grinned. "Somei, huh? So you must think you're better than me. I'm gonna have fun crushing you."

Glasses did an overexaggerated gasp. "You would threaten me? Your own classmate? Are you sure you're in the right place?"

"Huh? It's him." Glasses muttered loud enough so that everyone could hear.

He ceased the argument with blondie to look at the new arrival by the door, me that is. Glasses strode toward me in a formal manner.

Students murmured. I notice that I was being looked at. Hmm, I shouldn't stand in the door like that. Let's take a desk somewhere promptly to avoid an exchange with glasses.

I almost jumped when I looked at the students seated. What the heck!?

A pink-skinned girl with antennas.

A toddler with purple-mushroom hair.

The tail guy I spotted earlier.

A head that looks like a rock.

A dude with multiple arms.

A sinister bird head.

And a floating uniform.

The rest of the classroom looked normal, but gosh, there's something wrong with this place. The truck sure did something to my brain. I must be in a mental asylum. There's no way I can be possessing this Midoriya dude's body. The doctors had to put me on drugs for sure.

"Good morning!"

Sigh… I was too taken aback by all those classroom freaks that glasses caught up to me.

"My name is Tenya Iida fro‐‐"

"Yeah, I‐I know. Somei Private Academy, right? I'm… Izuku Midoriya… Nice to meet you."

My plan to lay in the classroom's shadow failed… But looking at the people over there, I feel suddenly much safer around glasses – Or Iida.

Iida put his hands on my shoulders and leaned over me with a very serious look. "Midoriya. You realized that there was something more to the practical exam, didn't you?"

Is he talking about an entrance exam? Oh no…

"You must be very perceptive. And I completely misjudged you, I admit. As a student, you're far superior to me."

"Um…"

Oh no. This is bad. I didn't expect this Midoriya guy to be a prodigy! What am I gonna do? Talk about mathematics?

They'll find out I'm not the real Izuku Midoriya for sure... Either that, or I'll make a fool out of myself. Whichever one fate likes more.

"Hey! I met you this morning! Falling boy!"

"Oh, hey! You can call me Midoriya." My eyes flashed, and I suppressed the nervousness I felt. On the surface, I was smiling sheepishly to the brunette, but in truth I had been panicking all the time since I had arrived in this world.

The bed of sweat forming on my forehead and literally everywhere else on my body may eventually betray me.

"I didn't recognize you at first, but now I do! That punch back there was amazing!"

Punch? C'mon, I don't recall punching you! You're gonna make all those scary monsters think I'm an abusive wretch!

"What do you think we're doing today besides orientation? I wonder what our teachers are like. I can't wait to meet everybody!" The girl talked quickly with far too much enthusiasm.

As long as they're not floating pieces of clothing or animal heads, then I couldn't care less.

By the way, thank you for changing the subject, bubbly head! This talk about entrance exams was very scary. You've saved me twice today!

"If you're just here to make friends then you can pack up your stuff now."

Ah!

U‐Uh‐‐

Bubbly girl whimpers. Did the scary voice come from behind me?

"Welcome to UA's hero course."

All students gasp in unison.

"What is that thing?"

"A caterpillar?"

Turning around, I saw – a man tucked inside a sleeping bag…

"It took eight seconds before you all shut up. That's not gonna work. Time is precious. Rational students would understand that."

The gruff-looking man slid out of the sleeping bag. He looks destitute and sleep deprived.

"Welcome to U.A.'s hero course. My name Is Shota Aizawa, and I'll be your homeroom teacher this year."

Everyone in the class shook with bewilderment at the creepy man who was to be their homeroom teacher for the year.

I get their feeling. What's this guy's deal? Does he even have a home? I'd say this outside trip might be a ruse to kidnap us all. The freak monsters in the classroom might be in on the scheme as well. Better distance myself from them.

"All right, let's get to it. Change into your gym uniforms and meet me outside." Mr. Aizawa ordered.

"But what about orientation?" The brown-haired girl asked.

"There's no time for pointless ceremonies. We have different plans today…"

Shoot. I have no idea what's going on, but for a gym class… I ain't playing basketball against that six-arm freak or that huge chunk of rock with eyes.
