Shado of the Covenant

Chapter 27

Lily

Lily Potter – no, she thought, Lily Evans, lay under the covers in her bed. She wasn't actually sure where she was, she only knew that it was far away from that piece of crap old man. The Covenant had taken her, and flushed out years' worth of portions, mental trickery, and charms. She wasn't sure she could remember being abled to think so clearly. It was nice to be free, but now she couldn't keep from crying, and worried about a lot.

Everything had gone so wrong, and neither, Lily nor James had been strong enough to fight back. They would have never expected such horror to come from Albus Dumbledore. All Dumbledore cared about was control, when she wanted to run away to another country and never have to deal with Voldemort hunting her baby girls.

Rosette, and gods, when she thinks of Ivy, and all the horrors in the world she had to face because her mother wasn't strong enough. And those Dursley's! She almost felt herself snarling as she gripped into the covers tightly, gritting her teeth in anger, frustrated that she could never get her revenge on them.

"Are you doing well enough to stop moping for a moment?" Lily started and sat up, letting her covers drop. She was wearing some blue pyjamas over her slim body, and had bruises from lack of sleep around her eyes, and her crimson hair was a mess.

"Ro…?" Lily began, but trailed off as she squinted through the dark of her large room as the curtains were closed, and the light was out, the only source of illumination came from the gaps in the curtains from the sun.

"Ivy?" Lily whimpered as she knelt up on her bed.

Shado rolled her eyes, and strode to the window and pulled the curtains open to let in the bright sun, and ignoring Lily's hiss as the sun hit her eyes, she pushed both windows open to let in some fresh air.

"Damn, Mum, it stinks in here!" Shado said coolly turning to her mother to see tears prickling in her green eyes, but start as Shado swirled her right hand gently and a soft gust sped into the room, and circled it before fading away. "Come on… if you're not going to bath yourself, I'm going to have to treat you like a baby," she said, snatching Lily's left hand in her right and pulling her from her bed, and towards her bathroom. "Seriously, you're worrying everyone, so, from now on you're going to be joining the rest of the Covenant for meals whether you like it or not!" she said dragging Lily semi-reluctantly into the bath room, and closing the door behind her.

Lily didn't know what to do or say, or even where to put her hands as she looked over her daughter as she rand the tub. The tub was rather large with the taps on the side rather than to one end, and set into the bowl, so you were less likely than ever to hurt yourself on them. Shado was wearing her pyjamas too, and they were a satin, black, with shorts and small sleeves, and she looked so pretty with her hair hanging to frame her face, over her shoulders, but short at the back, pitch black. Lily had seen Shado with her hair red too, and Lily wasn't sure what she liked best, but new her daughter looked mazing no matter what her hair colour.

There was only a tub in her Room, and Lily would normally have had a quick shower in the muggle-world before a bath, as to clean off before soaking, but knew she wouldn't need to with a magical world bath, as they had all sorts of cleansing tricks.

The bath was full, and the taps had been turned off when Shado finally turned back to her, after having just knelt before, watching the water fall silently, probably wondering whether there was anything to say. Then, with nonchalant easy of care, Shado pulled her top up and off, to reveal her slender curves, and powerful looking body, with breasts that weren't small, but not quite medium, if that made sense. Lily gulped, and felt unsure of herself as she couldn't remember ever bathing with her daughters before when Shado pulled her shorts off, and placed her PJs in the hamper, and Lily felt weirded out that her daughter must have removed curtain hairs. The only thing Shado didn't remove was the pendant with the sense of the Covenant, just a symbol and proof of her lineage as the new queen.

Shado rolled her eyes. "Seriously, Mum," she said, and Lily filched and felt those tears again before they were forgotten, as Shado made quick work of stripping her, and she felt self-conscious, as though their body-types were similar, she did have slightly bigger breasts, and was about half an inch taller, but worst, she had wild red hair between her legs, though not out of control as fair haired people didn't tend towards that, but when compared to her daughter? Then her daughters' body was so fit and powerful, not that Lily was flabby or anything, and she supposed for her age she looked amazing, but woman her age especially would feel self-conscious comparing their body to a sixteen-year-old with such firm suppleness, and well, she couldn't think any other words without coming off weird, eying up her daughter like that.

"Come on," Shado said, and taking Lily's hand.

They were soon in the delightful water, and Shado gave a genuine smile before grabbing the sponge and some shower creams and shampoo and conditioner and letting that smile turn into a half-crazed grin. Lily spent the next twenty minutes, being scrubbed clean by her daughter, and Shado was rather furrow with where and what she cleaned, which was humiliating as Lily tried to tell her daughter that she could do it herself, but Shado only teased her about being a big baby, and wanting her daughters to pamper her. Lily couldn't deny that she wanted her daughter's attention, Shado's especially, but it was embarrassing, yet, she enjoyed every moment, anyway.

"I'm so sorry!" Lily said gently once the scrubbing was over, and the heart pounding moments where she thought she might do something embarrassing like wee herself when some more sensitive areas were touched, as it had been too long. They lay back in the tub opposite each other with their legs intwined, and it felt nice for Lily to just have the slightest contact with her daughter, let alone get to bathe together.

"Look, Mum," Shado said with a sigh, and gentle smile. "I like who I am… but I have been through a lot, to become me. I'm not going to torment you at all, and would like if you didn't torment yourself either. I could never hate you for being a victim of the same circumstances as me? I have a few things I must do over the Christmas holiday, so I won't be home for a while, so I wanted to come and spend some time with you, to make sure that you know, I'm not running out on you or anything. Rose will be here for you, and don't forget Laurel; she's been amazing looking after you, right?"

"Yeah, Laurel has been amazing, even after so long apart. I've missed her greatly," Lily agreed while her cheeks darkened. "W-will, you be okay by yourself?" she asked in worry.

Shado smiled and pulled herself to her knees and slid over, and wrapped her mother in her arms, and before Lily could care that they were both naked, she held on tightly with their breasts squished together, and cried as Shado snuggled into her arms, sitting on her lap. Shado kissed her mother's cheek, and whispered into her ear.

"I don't have to forgive you," she spoke gently. "You're my mother, and we were both hurt by the same person for his control over our Rosie to be absolute. Albus Dumbledore will be destroyed, and I will make sure that he is sent to the most vicious and monstrous hell imaginable."

"I love you so much, Ivy!" Lily cried out, squeezing her daughter tighter, and showering her face with kisses, before they rested back, holding each other.

"I… I love you too, Mum," Shado replied uncertainly, as they had a lot of bad history, but Shado smiled as she realised, yes, she was sure she did love her mother; that bond beyond magic, she realised could never be broken, and she knew even with the magic controlling her, that Lily had loved and looked after Rose. Unfortunately, this caused Lily to cry harder, and they would spend the next hour just snuggled in the bath while Shado comforted her mother, and felt glad no one else could see her crying as she felt tears trailing down her own cheeks, after years of refusing to let them fall.

Rose, Laurel, Ginny, Daphne, and Astoria had started breakfast, and wondered where Shado had gotten too, when they were startled as there Shado was, entering the dinning hall, and with her, she held Lily's hand while she looked shy and uncertain, slightly shielding herself with one of her daughters.

"Don't worry any longer," Shado said smugly, "because this cute piece of awesomeness," she said jabbing her free thumb towards herself, "has gotten our silly mum, to get out of bed, and washed her up, and got her dressed into some fresh clothes," she said before sitting Lily next to her where Shado was wearing some of the regular style, skirt, boots, and tight tee, and Lily was in a blue summer dress, showing off her beautiful body and causing Laurel to stare a little too intently at her chest.

"Mum, how are you feeling?" Rose quickly asked eagerly.

"Much better thanks to, Ivy," she replied looking shyly at her daughter.

Rose looked sharply at Shado. "Did you…?"

"No, of course not," Shado replied with a roll of her eyes while Lily looked confused. "Not yet anyway," she added craftily, which caused Rose to groan, and all three Greengrass's to laugh along with Ginny, and finally; they were complete. But Rose was pleased that Shado had chosen to be their for their mum, and Lily chose not to ask what that weird moment was about.

They were just finishing up breakfast after having a wonderful time when Lily finally asked a question she needed to know.

"Where's Holly?" she asked gently looking down at her finished plate, which caused the slight chatter to cut out as they all looked down at the thought.

"We have the whole Covenant looking for her," Shado said gently. "We have a person or two in a few higher up countries, and we've checked the other ten of the Eleven Great Schools, and we've been looking through smaller schools too, but we have to be smart. We don't want Dumbledore or Voldemort to find out, as for one, Dumbledore may know where she is, and do something stupid, and two, Voldemort may try to find her to gain leverage on us."

"But Dumbledore might have…?" Lily couldn't continue that thought as a lump caught in her throat.

"No. Thankfully, he never had the guts," Rose quickly said while looking worried herself. Lily had told Laurel about their little sister once she was 'sane' enough. It was the first thing she wanted. She wanted to know where Holly was, and that she was safe, as she knew where Rose and 'Ivy' were.

Holly would be twelve years old, so a second year, and every magical school that they had enquired to, did not have a young girl with either red or black hair, and green eyes who was in their second year, and who was adopted. In fact, they didn't have any adopted, orphaned, or even just fostered kids in second year fitting her description, or even children living with grandparents or aunts or something, except one in Ilvermorny, and that was a blonde boy, and another: a girl in a small magical school in Jamaica, but she was black, so they had scrubbed out there too.

"We have every Covenant witch, looking, and we're calling in favours where needed," Laurel said gently moving around to sit with her friend, and pulling her into her arms where Lily held on tightly. "Don't worry, your sweet little head, we'll find Holly safe and sound, and we'll bring her home. Dumbledore is over, Lils', and he will never come back from this. He has a warrant out for his arrest, and has been fired and expelled from Hogwarts. The schools' wards should protect everyone, but to be safe… Lady Shado… I mean, Ivy is going to go and get something which can help clean the school of unwanted magic, and protect the students before the new year starts. McGonagall said she would love you back if you're feeling well enough."

"Mum, we'll find our little sister!" Rose said confidently. "And then we'll all be together, and… I know you and dad can't… well, be together, and that's fine. We'll stand by you if you get divorced, we can understand, but you can't continue blaming him, and he can't continue blaming you, and you certainly need to stop blaming yourselves, over being too weak to resist the magic and potions… you went up against Albus Dumbledore and the subtleness of his play for power. You had no idea what he really was. Heck, even after everything that went on with how Dumbledore endangered the school and students, good people like Arthur and Molly can't see beyond their faith in Dumbledore and the Order of the Phoenix."

"I know, but…" Lily said softly, but didn't seem to know how to continue as her eyes turned to look at Ginny Weasley as she looked sad but accepting that her parents were trapped, but by their own susceptibility.

"It's okay, Lily," Laurel soothed, kissing the woman's forehead. "You're home now, with your daughters, me, and the Covenant… we're your family. We've got a lot of catching up to do, and I will look after you no matter what. Whatever you want from me, if its within my capability, I shall give it to you, love. I've missed you so much," she whimpered a little kissing her friends nose with a cheeky smirk, and teary eyes.

Lily laughed with a few dry sobs, but smiled, and gave laurel a small kiss on the lips before pulling back, shyly, and leaving the blonde woman's cheeks flushed.

"I missed you too," Lily said gently, as her own pale cheeks darkened. "I just didn't know until now," she said while holding her friend tightly.

"Wow, Rose," Ginny said only loud enough for the other younger girls to hear as Shado rounded the large table to join them, snuggling lovingly into Astoria's arms, and sitting on her lap. "Your mum, and Laurel are in so much love its painful to feel. How could they have borne to be apart for so long knowing they wouldn't ever have each other?"

"Sometimes, love makes idiots," Daphne interrupted gently. "Not that I'm sad they had such a huge break or anything, or none of us would be here, but they seriously need to go to one of their rooms and 'bang' things out."

"That's ten points from Slytherin for that terrible, pun, Daph," Rose said while rolling her eyes before looking towards their mothers and smiling. "Give them time, and our mothers will get there again without tradition and silliness to interfere… but why don't we sneak off and give our dear, Queen Shado a lovely farewell do…ing before her trip?"

"That's a million points from Gryffindor," Daphne laughed with their friends. "But a great idea…" she added as the five of them slipped away to leave Laurel and Lily to each other for as long as they needed.

A/N: Hey there… you… a bit sappy with this chapter, I know, but I wanted to show Shado's kindness, because she mostly ends up using violence, but here I hope I show she isn't without understanding.
