Niffty

After they bought the Christmas tree Niffty runs out of the entrance of the Hotel.

- Gotta buy some real cute gifts for the Princess - she thinks - But where should I start.

She hesitates for a second, but the answer is obvious.

- Ah, of course! The cutie shop!

She is heading to the city center, where all the shops are. There is a huge shop in the middle, with a cute kitty on top of it. The pink neon sign says "Cutie shop" and the baby blue building stands proud, high above the others.

- Perfect!- she thinks. The door is open. As she enters bright lights blinds her, and her little heart is filled with enthusiasm and pure happiness.

- Gotta buy all the cute stuff!- she jumps up and down.

She takes a deep breath and starts to wander from the left side, observing everything.

- Too big…. too small... – she moves forward - Hmmm too shiny…. too simple...

She is a bit disappointed. She thought that this is the perfect place to buy the perfect Christmas present for the Princess. That she'll find so many good gifts that she won't be able to choose. The enthusiasm fades away, and she slowly approaches the entrance of the shop... She is just about to leave... When!

- OMG! - she shouts. A giant plush rainbow stands right in front of her. The colours are bright, but not too much. It is huge, but also not too big.

- It could perfectly fit in the Princess' room! Right above her bed!

She watches the plush rainbow with admiration. She rushes to a shopkeeper, grabs her hand and points at the plush.

- This one please! - she smiles.

- Hey kid, can you afford something like that? - the shopkeeper looks at Niffty scornfully - I mean it's a bit expensive even for an adult demon.

- How much is it? - Niffty asks, grabbing her purse.

- 5000 demon coin. - The woman says simply.

- 5000? - Niffty's eyes widen.

- Told you. - the woman crosses her arms in front of her body.

- But I really need this! - Niffty looks back at the rainbow.

- Sorry kid. No money, no rainbow. - the shopkeeper leaves her alone with the sadness and the tears filling her eyes.

- But...she sniffs... But this is the perfect gift... - she sits next to the rainbow. She can't hold it back any longer. Tears streaming down her face.

- Dad... Really? - a young girl enters the door -The cutie shop? - she facepalms.

- Oh come on Octavia you loved it as a child. - Prince Stolas steps in after her daughter.

- That's the point Dad! As a child! – says she.

- A little nostalgia won't hurt. - Stolas looks around -Look! A giant rainbow! - he approaches the plush- How amazing! This would look perfect in your room.

- Dad... - Octavia facepalms again.

- Good day sir. How may I help you. - the shopkeeper steps to Stolas.

- I want to buy this rainbow for my daughter here.

- Very well sir. - the woman takes the plush- Get going kid! - says she to Niffty - There are others who can buy ten of these!

- But... - Niffty sniffs.

- Hold on a minute. - Stolas takes a good look at Niffty.- I know this little girl. Aren't you Niffty from Hazbin Hotel? - he asks -You were at the war against Lucifer's sister.

- Yes... I was there. - she replies.

- What are you doing here child? - Stolas asks.

- We... We do Secret Santa at the Hotel and... - she says - I drew the Princess and... She always says we have a rainbow in our heart and... - there are filling her eyes again.

- Don't even mind her sir. - says the shopkeeper- She is a poor demon, she doesn't deserve your kind words.

Stolas straightens up.

- Where is the shop's manager? - he asks. The manager was standing close. He was waiting for the right moment to show up. A celebrity in the shop lures more costumers.

- Here I am my lord, Oskar at your services. - he bows in front of Stolas.

- Very nice. - Stolas smiles - Fire this shopkeeper. - he commands.

- What? - the shopkeeper stands in a shock. Stolas takes a step closer to her. His face darkens.

- Don't you ever dare to speak someone like that ever again! - says he threateningly-Doesn't matter rich or poor we are all equal living souls here. Let this be a lesson to you and be thankful that I'm not exterminating you right here right now. - the shopkeeper is shaking in fear.

- I am terribly sorry my lord I... - says the manager.

- Hush! - Stolas interrupts his apology- Come my sweet child. - he holds out his hand to Niffty -I'll buy you the rainbow. - he winks at her.

- No no no my lord. - the manager falls to his knees in front of Stolas- Please take whatever you desire for free as an apology. - Stolas looks at him in a pathetic way.

- See? - he then smiles at Niffty -all well that ends well.

- I... - Niffty looks into his eyes with admiration -How can I repay you?

- No need my dear. - Stolas says as he opens a portal to the Hotel. - It's a gift from me. - he helps Niffty up, and gives her the rainbow. Then he shows the way to the portal.

- Merry Christmas!
