Chapter 5: Taking back lost property

-The following day-

V groaned as he woke up in bed, and saw Mako in between him and Meredith, as usual. He smiled as he looked at the two sleeping faces of the women he loved. Though as he looked around, he saw that the other two shark gals were absent.

'I wonder where our other little pets are…?' He thought as he got out of bed and started getting into his street clothes, pulling his Samurai jacket on.

As he exited the master bedroom, he saw Elektra and Mara sleeping soundly in the guest bedroom, both hugging each other close under the covers. Both of them had content smiles on their faces as they slept in each other's arms, the sight bringing a smile to V's face. He then went into the kitchen and started throwing breakfast together for everyone. He decided on something simple, namely sausage, eggs and cheese with some orange juice.

Hey, even Corpos want some simplicity in their lives.

As the food was finished, the girls all entered the dining room in bathrobes as their brains struggled to wake up fully while they sat down. The only reason they had woken up at the moment was because their noses said 'delicious food detected!' and had their brains wake them up.

"I don't wanna be awake right now…" Mako groaned tiredly as she struggled to keep her head up.

"Same." Mara groaned in agreement.

"At least you'll get some food in your bellies." V told them as he set their food and drinks in front of them.

"Where are you gonna be going?" Mako questioned as Meredith fixed her a glass of espresso, both women were in their business attire.

"All Foods, there's a gang there that may have the stuff from our missing convoy, Jackie's gonna help me get it back, and get the Flathead for the heist." Her husband explained.

"I'm gonna get some people together and lock the place down until they're done." Meredith added. "Elektra, Mara, before all that happens, we'll be getting you your implants." She added, much to V's slight confusion.

"They didn't get their implants yet?" He asked with a raised eyebrow.

"They looked pretty weary when I found them, so I decided to let them unwind before we did that." The blondie explained, getting a nod from her lover.

"Fair enough." The man said before looking at his mutant Shadow Bull lover. "Mako, I want you to be ready to fight if it comes down to that." He told her.

"Say no more, love." Mako said with a carnivorous grin as her Legendary tier Mantis Blades emerged from her forearms. With the speed she boasted before she became the humanoid she is now, Mantis Blades seemed like a no-brainer.

"But for now, go with Meredith and your sisters. I'm sure they'll need a comforting hand during their first trip to a Ripperdoc." The Corpo continued.

"Don't worry, I will." She nodded.

"Okay, now let's eat. The food is getting cold." Meredith said, drawing everyone's attention to their breakfast as they began eating it. They had quite a bit to do today.

(Later)

Once breakfast was over, everyone went their separate ways. V had gone to All-Foods to meet up with Jackie while Meredith had taken the shark trio to see Vik. It's in this setting that Mara and Elektra looked incredibly nervous about what was coming, but Mako helped keep them calm. Meredith, meanwhile, had money ready to pay Vik for the implants.

"I know this all looks scary, and I don't blame you for thinking that." The Ripperdoc said as he looked at them. "Mako was that way, too, and now look at her." He added.

"He's right. I was in your shoes when I first walked in here. Trust me, you'll be fine." Mako told them in a comforting tone. The two hesitated before Mara stepped up.

"I'll go first." She said as she sat down on the operating chair.

"Alright, let's get started." Vik nodded before the procedure began.

Meanwhile, at All Foods, V pulled up in his usual street car, and saw Jackie waiting for him.

"Been waitin' long, Jack?" He asked.

"Not long, mano. Where's Meredith and Mako?" The bruiser asked as he looked around.

"Meredith found two apparent siblings of Mako. They're at Vik's clinic getting them their implants they'll need to blend in." The counter-intel director replied, getting a blink from Jackie.

"Corajo. Seriously, there's three of 'em now?" He asked. This got a nod from the Corpo. "Dios mio. What're the odds?" He mused.

"Yeah, so listen. Dex said he already paid for the Flathead outright, the problem is, we don't know if the gangoons are gonna make good on the deal." V explained.

"He paid up front? Ejone… Ah, whatever, let's get this done. You scheme yet? You got a plan?" The bruiser asked.

"Yeah. Meredith gave me a laced cred chip. The bug on it will knock out everyone in their network, allowing us to waltz on out with the Flathead with no resistance." V explained with a smirk. Jackie whistled at that.

"Damn. I would say they'll be pissed when they realize the chip is laced, but now? Now I don't think they'll be able to notice it in time." He remarked.

"Silent, deadly, and with just the right amount of technical spice for a dramatic finish, just the way we like it in Militech." The Corpo nodded.

"So, you ready?" Jackie asked.

"Let's head into the dragon's den." The Corpo nodded. With that, they went up to the entryway and rang the doorbell.

"I don't know you." A thug's voice rasped from the other end.

"We're here about the Flathead. Seein' if the boss here is willing to talk." V said. There was a moment of silence before he got a response.

"Main room. We'll be waitin'." The same guy said before the door opened, granting them entry. The two walked through the building, taking note of the defenses they set up as they went. Sentry guns, shrapnel mines, the works.

"This is our convoy alright, fits the stuff from the inventory manifesto to a fuckin' T." V noted, before he saw the actual truck getting chopped. "Fuck. They're even chopping the truck." He added.

"Thought these carojnes were just after the cargo! They took the truck?" Jackie questioned. "They must've been on it like maggots on dead meat." He added as they kept walking.

'Busting these assclowns is gonna be so much more fun, all of a sudden.' V thought before they reached the main room.

"Hey, name's Dum-Dum. Both of you, on the couch." One of the Maelstrom thugs told them.

"Apropos." V whispered, getting a chuckle from Jackie as they sat down. Dum-Dum then took an inhale and did a puff.

"Here, take a puff, take the edge off." The man offered.

"I recognize that, it's S-Keve, a black lace." Jackie said. "It increases your endorphins so you don't feel pain."

"Same stuff used in the Corporate wars…" V noted. "Thanks, but I'm good. I got an old ulcer I'm treating and if I took that, it'd probably give me hell later." He added.

"Watchin' out for those kinds of problems, eh? Suit yourself." Dum-Dum shrugged as he took another puff.

"So, the Flathead?" The man asked.

"Here it is." Dum-Dum said as the case was brought to the table. "Completely intact and set up for your convenience, as agreed." He added. V then looked at Jackie and the two nodded.

"We need to see it, just in case Militech tried to Trojan bug the sucker." The Corpo stated.

"Not a problem." The gang member nodded before he took a shard and put it in his neuroport, and a second later, the Flathead powered up and stood on its legs. "See? Completely kitted out, this!" He said with a grin as he made it climb up a wall and across the ceiling before he made it lower itself back down onto the table like an actual spider.

"Not bad. Dex paid Brick well." V nodded before Royce came out of an adjacent room and walked up to him.

"Nobody said anything about Brick!" He growled as he pointed his pistol at him, prompting V and Jackie to draw their handguns as the whole thing turned into a standoff.

"Alright then, fuck Brick. Let's cut a new deal." The man offered as he pulled out his cred chip. "Eddies plucked straight from Militech's pocketbooks, should pair nicely with all the contraband of theirs you're lugging around–like a fine New Sicilian wine with a slab of choice veal." He added, waving the chip in Royce's face while also pressing his gun under his jaw. "Sounds tasty, doesn't it?" He quipped with a trademark Corpo smirk.

"Ya know what? Yeah it does." Royce replied with a smirk as he took the chip and went back into the room he came out of, closing the door behind him as he did.

'Hook, line and sinker.' V thought as everyone calmed down. Now all he and Jackie had to do was wait for everyone to take off for dreamland.

"You guys got guts doin' that." Dum-Dum commented as he put his pistol away.

"Used to work for Arasaka in counter intelligence. Having guts comes with the turf." V stated.

"You know, ya never said who you're working for." The gangoon said after a seconds pause.

"Oh, I work for Militech." V shrugged.

"Wait, wha–?" Dum-Dum started to ask before he and every other gangoon in the building suddenly fell unconscious. V and Jackie just smirked at the whole thing.

"La piece de resistance, as they say." The Corpo said with as his smirk became a grin.

"Bueno." Jackie nodded as he grabbed the control shard and the Flathead. "Now let's blow this pork chop shop." He added.

"Way ahead of you." V nodded as they made their way through the factory, coming across unconscious Maelstrom members as they went. Upon reaching a particular area of the place, however…

"Hey, what the fuck's goin' on out there?!" A gruff voice called, getting their attention.

"I thought everyone got knocked out." Jackie commented with a frown.

"They should be. Unless…" V trailed off before he went to a small closet and found Brick himself with a mine's sensor laser pointed his chest.

"Careful. One wrong move and I'm meat chunks on the ground." The old gang leader told them.

"Hang on." The Corpo said before he hacked the mine and turned it off, allowing him to stand. "Did you get disconnected from the network? I gave Royce a laced chip that knocked out everyone in the building." He stated.

"Yeah, I was. Royce figured I'd just cause trouble if I was still connected, so my link got cut when he took me down." Brick nodded.

"Come on, let's getcha outta here Cabron." Jackie said as the two helped the man up. "You good to walk? Need an Air Hypo, anything like that?" He asked as Brick leaned on him.

"My legs are a bit sore, but other than that, I'll live." Brick replied as they continued toward the exit. After a good amount of walking, Brick was able to walk on his own and when they got out of the building, they were met with a Militech task force that stood at attention upon seeing V come out of the building with Jackie and Brick in tow.

"Sir!" They saluted as the three walked by.

"You work for Militech?" The Maelstrom leader asked in surprise.

"Yep. I'm the counter-intel director of the branch here in Port Poseidon." V nodded.

"And looks like you just found our missing convoy." The familiar voice of Meredith said as she walked towards him, allowing him to kiss her aggressively.

"It's all yours, Hon, and the Maelstrom thugs are yours to do whatever you want to them." The Corpo told her.

"Good." The blondie nodded before looking at Brick. "I think you'll make a great mole for Militech in the criminal underworld. It'll help keep up on our toes." She said.

"Well, your boyfriend did save me, so I guess that means I owe him. Sure, I've got no problems." Brick shrugged. At least this way, he didn't have to worry about Militech being on his ass anymore.

"Guess this just leaves us to get the final touches done on the plan for the heist." Jack said, crossing his arms.

"Yeah." V nodded as his crew kept loading everything up. "I'm gonna get in touch with Dex, I'll see you later when I get home." He added, giving Meredith a quick swat on her ass.

"See you then, love." Meredith purred. "Oh, Mara and Elektra are exploring the city a bit, getting acquainted with the place." She added.

"Good to know." The ex-Arasaka employee nodded as he and Jackie went to the latter's bike.

"So, that's that, mano." The bruiser said as he got on his ride. "See you when it's time?" He asked.

"Yep. See you then." V nodded. Jackie then sped off, leaving him behind with his girlfriend, who gave the soldiers under her command some orders before walking up to him.

"Ya know, I'm feeling kinda horny. Wanna take this someplace private?" She purred into his ear.

"No-tell motel isn't that far away." V offered. "Want us to go there and make some raunchy, wall-slamming love to each other for a while?" He asked as he took her into his arms.

"Oh fuck the hell yes." The blondie shuddered before she suddenly received a message from Mako. "Oh, would you look at that? Mako's already there waiting for us in room 125." She added with a grin of excitement.

"Good, I can plant two seeds with one plow." The man grinned as he scooped his woman up and carried her towards his car.

Meanwhile in a different part of Night City, Mara and Elektra were spending the day exploring their new home. They'd been walking around pretty much all day, but now though, they decided to stop at Lizzy's.

Mara's image inducer made her look like a goddess. Her skin was pale as bone, but that didn't detract from how attractive she looked. She had pink colored eyes, short white hair, and implants on her face. Her attire consisted of a sleeveless gray shirt, a blue hoodie, black jeans and a pair of black boots.

Elektra looked rather exotic. She had dark skin, long electric blue hair that almost glowed under the right lighting, equally electric blue eyes and some implants on her neck. Her attire consisted of a black short sleeved shirt, blue jeans and simple sneakers. She appealed as a casual woman when dressed like that.

As they entered the bar, both of them entered a booth and ordered drinks, but in truth, the two were at the bar for a much more carnal reason. Their loins burned with desire and their womanhoods boiled with lust, the sea wolves wanted two beautiful women–and they wanted them all to themselves.

"Well, you two certainly stand out." Came the voice of Evelyn as she walked up to them.

"And who might you be, beautiful?" Elektra questioned with a predatory grin and a hungry look in her eyes.

"Evelyn Parker." The blue haired Corpo replied before another woman who looked like a Mox girl walked up next to her. "Hello, Judy. Care to meet our new friends?" She asked, gesturing to the hidden shark women.

"Sure, what's u–whoa." The Mox said before she caught a glimpse of Mara and her heart suddenly skipped a beat. "Wow–Well, hello gorgeous." She whistled in approval.

"You don't look so bad yourself, sexy." Mara quipped with a predatory smirk.

"Well, since you two are here, how about I treat all four of us to a drink or two?" Evelyn offered as she took a seat next to Elektra.

"That sounds wonderful." The bio electric woman said as she stroked the doll's thigh. "And maybe while we're at it…" She added as a bulge suddenly started appearing in her pants, as did Mara's as she pulled Judy into her lap. "We can treat you absolute angels to something."

"Hm…"The BD editor shivered from the feeling of Mara's hand on her midrif's skin. "I–I think I'll take that offer!" She gasped.

"Perfect." The shark women smiled as they continued to grope the women in their laps.

Meanwhile in the Manhattan sewers, the Turtles were going over some Foot Clan chatter they caught wind of. The chatter in question talked about Port Poseidon's Night City area, and there was mention of a relic. There wasn't much else to go on and now they were debating what to do.

"I've been looking into what the Relic is, and apparently it's a sort of micro chip. It can save a person's digitized consciousness as an Engram and allows people to communicate with these engrams." Donnie noted.

"Wait, they can do that?" Casey questioned.

"Yes they can, and unless I'm mistaken, the chip can rewrite the genetics of a body to suit the engram." The purple masked turtle replied, looking a little skeptical about that detail.

"How'd you find that out?" April questioned as he showed her the main screen of his laptop.

"I may or may not have hacked into Arasaka's network and found an off the books prototype that does that exact thing." He replied.

"It's not traceable, is it?" Leo questioned.

"No, but I think I can figure out whose possession it's in if I check the personnel logs…" The Turtle said as he typed away.

"I don't get it, what would the shred head want with a biochip like that? That works for human brains, not Utroms." Raph questioned.

"Maybe it's so he can figure out how to make it work for Utroms." April guessed.

"It is a possibility." Splinter nodded.

"Yeah, so he can keep downloading and uploading himself into new bodies no matter how hard we trash him!" Casey added.

"I don't even wanna think about that." Mikey shuddered. It was at this moment that Donnie's search turned up something.

"Okay, found out who has the Relic." He said as the information came on screen. "Looks like it's Yorinobu Arasaka himself. He's got it in the penthouse of an expensive hotel in Port Poseidon." He told everyone.

"Guess we better go and take it, huh?" Mikey suggested.

"That'd be right, Einstein." Raph stated.

"Come on guys, we got a hand off to stop." Leo said as he got to his feet, his brothers doing the same.

It was stealing time.

ThermalsniperN7: And that's how our version of the Flathead scenario goes.

Dragon Emperor0: Given that V is a Corpo and is part of Militech, it only makes sense that he'd not only use a trick like that, but also have a personal stake in getting the cargo back.

ThermalsniperN7: And while that's going on, Mara and Elektra get their implants (reminder: they never got them in the last chapter) and go exploring before they stop at Lizzy's and get acquainted with Evelyn and Judy. Remember that, it'll be important for them later.

Dragon Emperor0: Yeah, and next time we'll be dealing with the setup for the heist, and that's going to really be–whoo–crazy.

ThermalsniperN7: Damn straight it will. Anyway, see you guys next time!
