Canaan's heart pounded her breathing heavy as she looked at the limp form of her dear friend. She clenched her fist kneeling down next to Maria and softly caressed her cheek. Canaan stood up her fist clenched and her teeth gritted and she growled. "They'll pay for what they did to her" Canaan thought looking over her shoulder "Mino, Yun-Yun" she barked to their companions "Get Maria out of here I'll handle this" she ordered. When she turned to them they saw the fiery red in her eyes. They couldn't say a word just nodded. Canaan was pissed. Maria means a lot to her and she felt a connection to her so strong that if she were to get hurt it would awaken a rage ,a beast that slept within Canaan who usually was good at controlling her emotions didn't hesitate this time. Canaan knew Maria didn't like her hurting people so she showed some restraint. You could see her shoulder muscles taunt and tensed and she never lost that fiery red in her eyes. She smirked and rushed toward her enemies making the first strike to which the enemy countered. If Canaan's fiery and pissed off aura did frighten him he didn't show it. It was a fast fight punch after punch, kick after kick, blow after blow were traded between them. But eventually after a hard fought battle he realized her power was far greater than his and with the injuries he sustained from the battle retreated. Canaan grinned painfully clutching her ribs she let out a groan of pain "Yep both fractured and broken ribs" she thought to herself. She also noted that she wasn't spitting up blood which meant the broken ribs didn't puncture anything but she knew Maria would be worried so she went to the hospital where Maria was. Upon reaching the hospital after waiting for a few moments Canaan had x rays done and was in the hospital room getting bandage wrapped around her waist and ribs and Mino and Yun-Yun swapped between Canaan and Maria's room after a while Maria finally awoke and the two informed her that Canaan was there too she wanted to see her so she got up and had them lead her. Canaan laid on the bed slow and painful breathing when she heard Maria call her name her eyes widened "Maria your ok" she said ecstatic and tried to sit up but laid back down clutching her ribs with a painful groan. Maria moved the chair and sat next to Canaan's beside. She sighed "looks like you took quite a beating" she smiled sadly "Don't worry Maria I'll be alright" she gave Maria a reassuring smile "Canaan?" she asked "Yeah?" Canaan looked at her "Thank you" Maria said then looked to Mino and Yun-Yun "all of you" she added "Maria there's something I'd like to confess to you" Canaan said. Maria looked to her "What is it Canaan?" she asked Canaan took a breath "I-I love you more than a friend I care about you a lot I feel this strong connection to you and when I saw you get hurt it made me go crazy its like it unlocked my beast within, my demon, and I would do anything to protect you I can't imagine my life without you. You mean so much to me you made me feel something I haven't for a while ,happy, and if I lost you I.. I don't know what I'd do" she said Maria smiled "Canaan I love you too at first I thought it was just hero worship cause of how many times you saved me But as I spent more time with you I realized my feeling were real" she places a hand on Canaan's cheek and placed a soft light kiss to her lips Canaan smiled "well how about we make it official when I get better how about I take you on a date?" she asked Maria smiled and held her hand "I'd like that very much" and so the two were together at last.
