At this point I think the remaining chapters will all be between the final two chapters of last arc in chronological order, so I don't think I'll need to post when they take place after this.

Today Kellyn and Kate were in Aqua Resort. But not on patrol. They were taking the day off to do something they've wanted to do since arriving to Oblivia.

"Finally!" Kate smiled. "We've been so busy we never had a chance to pay her a visit!"

Kellyn nodded. "Yeah. I hope she's doing well…"

Kate looked at two people at the fountain. "Hey, is that Keisuke, Yu and Erika?" She hurried over to them. Her brother took his time catching up. "Hey, guys!"

Keisuke was the first to turn around. "Oh, hey Kate. Kellyn."

"What brings you three here?" Kellyn asked.

"Erika and Wormmon wanted to see the sights around Obliva, so we're showing them our favorite spots."

"This is a rather relaxing town." Erika smiled. "It puts me at ease. The towns in my home world are all so high tech. This world is pretty interesting."

"So, what about you two?" Yu asked. "What brings you here? Out on patrol again?"

Kellyn shook his head. "Not this time. We have a relative who lives here."

"What? Really?" Keisuke asked.

Kate smiled. "That's right! We've been wanting to pay her a visit for some time now, but you know all the crazy stuff that's been going on since we got here. We never had a chance. Hey, since you guys are here, want to meet her?"

"Sure, I guess. Is that alright with you Erika?"

"I suppose."

They all walked south to the edge of the resort where an old lady way looking out into the sea. "Is that her?" Yu asked.

Kate people ran over to her. "Grandma!"

The woman turned around and saw Kate running to her with Kellyn following. "Oh! Kate! Kellyn! Good to see you."

Kate gently hugged the woman as Kellyn walked up to her. "It's been a while." The boy smiled.

"What brings you two to Oblivia? Your father didn't send you here just to do a delivery to me, did he?"

"Naw. We have Ranger business in Oblivia." Kate smiled. "Sorry it took so long to visit you, we've kinda had our hands tied for a while."

"This is your grandmother?" Erika asked.

Kellyn nodded. "Grandma, this is Keisuke, Erika, and Yu. They're friends of ours."

"Um…hello." Erika said.

"Why hello there." The woman smiled.

"And their partners are Tentomon, Wormmon and Otamamon." Kate smiled.

"Hi there!" Wormmon smiled.

"Oh, they must be Digimon. Like what those detectives have with them."

"That's right." Keisuke nodded.

"I see. Nice to meet you. So Kellyn, Kate, are your father, mother and little sister doing well?"

"They are." Kellyn nodded.

"So, you guys live in Almia, but your grandmother lives here?" Yu asked.

"Our dad works at the Partner Farm." Kate replied.

The woman nodded. "He'd send me fresh vegetables from time to time. I make it a hobby to make salty veggie snacks out of his fresh vegetables."

"Hey, come to think of it, shouldn't the harvesting of the vegetables be happening already?" Kate asked. "Didn't dad send you anything?"

"I haven't received any yet."

"Did he forget?"

Kellyn shook his head. "You and I both know he'd never do that."

A fisherman ran up to them. "Oh, I've been looking for you."

"Hello. Did you want me to go fishing with you?" the lady asked.

"Actually, that's not it this time. I do deliveries for Delibird Delivery also."

"Oh, you deliver things? You must have something for me, then!"

The fisherman uncomfortably glanced to the side. "Well…you could say that. Except that…Our Delibird was carrying a parcel for you when it dropped it in the Eastern Sea…It was from your son."

"Oh my…!"

"Oh, that's not good." Keisuke murmured.

"Yeah, now those vegetables are gonna be extra salty." Yu replied.

"I've never really liked vegetables." Erika said. "And I can't say I'm too big on anything super salty either…"

"Not my point." Keisuke sighed.

The fisherman bowed his head. "It's very far between the Almia region and Oblivia, so we have a relay of Delibird making deliveries. Perhaps during one of those aerial handovers…It must have fallen…"

The old woman sighed. "Ohhh…I guess that couldn't have been helped. I understand…"

"I don't know what to say. I'm so sorry…I did think that I could go on a boat to fish it out of the ocean. But that's impossible…"

Kellyn stepped forward. "Wait a minute. You're positive it fell into the Easter Sea, right?"

"Yeah. Why?"

"Grandma, Kellyn and I could go get it!" Kate smiled.

The Fisherman noticed their uniforms. "Oh! Aren't you two Rangers? Just what I need! Rangers, can't you do something?"

"How do you two plan to get it if it's in the ocean?" Wormmon asked.

"We have Aqualungs." Kellyn replied.

The woman sighed. "I know I sound pushy, but I'll ask you for a favor. I'm sure you two know this, but what your father sends me is something money can't buy."

"The squeaky wheel does get the grease!" the deliveryman replied. "You'll help us! But you'll need a boat to get there…"

"Now who sounds pushy?" Kate asked. "So, we need a boat, huh? I guess we could ask Murph to take us out there on The Union…"

"We don't need The Union." Tentomon replied. "I can Digivolve and fly you two there and you can dive in!"

"I dunno…I kinda want to try riding out on The Union." Yu said. "That ship looks so cool!"

"We are always flying around everywhere." Kellyn admitted. "It would be a nice change of pace."

"Okay, I'll call Murph and ask him to pick us up." Kate smiled.

"Digimon can breathe underwater." Wormmon said. "So, if Erika and I merge into Hudiemon, we can join you!"

"I'll help too!" Otamamon smiled. "Ask Ben, as MarineAngemon, I thrive underwater!"

"I can help too!" Tentomon added.

Kellyn and Kate posed. "Quest on!"

The Fisherman left as Kate turned to her Styler to call Murph. What nobody noticed, was two men in green eavesdropping on their conversation. "…Oh, what did they say? Something money can't buy? Such a treasure is there in the Eastern Sea?!"

They looked at each other. "Bro! We'd better hurry and find it before the Rangers!"

Now aboard The Union, crossing the Eastern Sea, Kate, Kellyn and Kate put on their Aqualungs as Hudiemon, MarineAngemon and HerculesKabuterimon stood over the edge. "Starly, Pachirisu, stay here with the boys." Kate said.

"Good luck down there." Keisuke said. "Stay safe."

"Relax, it's just a simple fetch quest, what can go wrong?" Hudiemon asked before diving into the water. The other Digimon and the Rangers followed her.

The group swam deeper into the underwater cave. "This area is filled with strong currents." Hudiemon said. "That parcel could have ended up anywhere."

"But this cave can't be that big." Kate retorted. "We'll find it eventually."

MarineAngemon narrowed his eyes. "Hey…I see something up ahead."

They swam towards a man in green on a strange vehicle. "Who is that and what are they doing deep underwater?" Kate asked. "Wait…that uniform…"

"A Pokemon Pincher?!" Kellyn asked. "What's he up to? We better investigate."

The Pincher turned around as he saw them approach. "Pokemon Ranger! Catching up already!" He then rushed deeper in.

"Where's he going?" HerculesKabuterimon asked.

"Let's get after him!" Hudiemon swam after the vehicle.

"HerculesKabuterimon, grab Kellyn and Kate!" MarineAngemon said. "We're going on ahead!"

"You got it." The bug Digimon picked the Rangers up in its arms as the smaller Digimon swam ahead as fast as a torpedo.

Meanwhile the Pincher's Z.Z. Flyer speed deeper in. "Hold it!" Hudiemon yelled as she started to catch up.

"Oh no!" The pincher turned his vehicle around and was now moving backwards. He shot Plasma at Hudiemon.

The Digimon was caught off guard and pelted back. "Ow! You creep!"

In the Digimon's head Erika sighed. "Oh, don't be such a wimp Wormmon, that didn't even hurt."

"I know, but it startled me!" Hudiemon flipped and dove after him again. As she got closer the front of the Z.Z. Flyer glowed gold. "Hey, what's that?"

"DODGE!" Erika's voice yelled through Hudiemon's head, and she moved to the side to evade a large golden beam that flew towards her.

"…THAT looks like it could hurt!" Wormmon's voice whimpered.

"Maybe…But I have no intention of finding out."

"Same."

Hudiemon continued her pursuit. She slowly got closer. "Got you this time!" Just then something metal and spikey came towards her. "What?!" She dodged an incoming mine. She saw more approach and swam around them. "Where did these come from?!"

"Erika, look out!" Wormmon's voice yelled. Just as Hudiemon turned back to the Pincher, another gold beam fired that hit her square in the chest and sent her flying.

"Ha! Bullseye!" the Pincher bragged as his pursuer was flung out of sight. "I'd better catch up to my bro and- As he turned around and saw MarineAngemon in front of him. "What the-

"Hydro Water!" MarineAngemon shot a stream at him, and he went flying back a bit.

"Hey! You annoying little…!" His Z.Z. Flyer's front glowed again.

"Flying Kick!" Hudiemon charged at him and kicked him in the back so hard he was sent hurling deeper in. "Payback, sucker! Come on, MarineAngemon, let's get him!"

"Yeah!"

The Pincher hit rock bottom-Literally-and groaned as he tried to recover. "Ow…" he gasped as the Digimon caught up to him. "No! Hey, bro! Don't worry about the treasure! Rescue me instead! The Ranger's backup got me!"

"Treasure?" MarineAngemon asked. "What are you-

Another Z.Z. Flyer zoomed over to him. "Another one?" Hudiemon muttered.

"I just found the treasure!" The Pincher grinned holding a package. "This cardboard box is full of goodies!"

"Hey, that must be the parcel that fell down here during delivery!" MarineAngemon said.

"Good job, bro! Let's take these two out before the Rangers catch up and get out of here!"

"Give that back!" Hudiemon said. "It doesn't belong to you!"

"Sorry Beautifly wanna be! The treasure's ours!"

"Beauty-what?" Wormmon asked in Hudiemon's head. "Erika, is he hitting on us?"

"Wormmon, not now!"

"I'll let you fight us just so you can give up…For good!"

Just then something grabbed Hudiemon from behind. "Hey! What the- She looked behind her. A Tentacruel had her arms, legs, and torso wrapped in its tentacles. "Let me go you, creepy squid!" she yelled struggling.

"Hudiemon!" MarineAngemon was about to act when something rammed into him. A Mantine joined in.

"See ya!" the Pinchers flew off.

"Hey! Get back here you cowards!" Hudiemon yelled.

"Ocean wave!" MarineAngemon fired at Mantine, but the enemy evaded it.

Hudiemon grunted as she continued her struggle. She tired pulling away from the Tentacruel, but it held a tight grip on her. "It's no use!" Wormmon thought from within her head. "We can't pull free!"

"Wanna bet?" Erika thought. Hudiemon stopped pulling away and rammed herself into Tentacrule's body. It hissed in pain and weakened it's grip on Hudiemon allowing her to tear her ankles out of its grip and kick both her feet into its face. That enabled her to free her arms and use them to pull the last of them from her hips. She then held one of the tentacles tight and swung the Pokemon around. She threw it at the Mantine as it was charging at MarineAngemon again and they collided into a wall. Hudiemon generated an emerald orb in her hands. "Gaia Element!" She threw it at both the Pokemon, and it burst knocking them out.

"Thanks, that got dicey." MarineAngemon said.

"Thank me later. We need to hurry if we're going to catch up to those two. Hopefully, HerculesKabuterimon can intercept them."

The Pinchers hurried towards the surface. "So, what kind of treasure do you think is in the box, bro?"

"Who knows. Star Pieces? Nuggets? Slowepoke Tails?"

"Hold it!"

The two of them came to a screeching halt as the Rangers riding HerculesKabuterimon. "Gah! The Rangers! Quick get out the Poke…oh…"

Kellyn looked at the box one of them was holding. "That package…Where did you find it?!"

One of them growled. "I'm not going to give up the treasure just because we don't have Pokemon. See you, Rang…Argh… Glub…!

Everyone looked at him. "Wha-what happened?" the other asked.

"Argh…My air…I'm running out of air…"

"Oh, no! We were so excited by the treasure, we forgot about refilling our air supply! …No! Argh…! My air's…very low, too!"

They turned to Kellyn and Kate. "Pl-please, Rangers! Let us through…"

"Oh, I'm sorry I'm having a hard time hearing you over the fact that you have something that belongs to grandma in your hands there." Kate replied.

"It-it can't end here…The treasure's yours…Urk! Just let us go!"

"Deal." Kellyn swam over and took the package. "Now off with you." The Z.Z. Flyers zoomed off.

"Kellyn! Kate!" Hudiemon and MarineAngemon caught up. "The Pinchers, got the package!"

Kate grinned, pointing at the box in her brother's possession. "Not anymore! Come on! Let's surface at get it over to grandma!"

Back in Aqua Resort, the old woman and the fisherman looked at the wet box Kellyn held. "What's that soaking-wet cardboard box…?" the lady asked.

"Three guesses." Kate grinned.

"Is that from my son?"

The fisherman gasped. "That's the one! It reads, "Slowly but surely Delibird Delivery delivers cordiality." That's our cardboard box!"

Yu rolled his eyes. "Ironic considering how it fell into the sea via carelessness."

"I cannot believe you found it, Rangers! Thank you so much!"

"Of course, we did it." Kellyn smiled handing it to his grandmother. "It was for our family."

The lady held the box happily and opened it. "What great news! How can I repay you?"

"The package was full of fresh vegetables for you, right?" the fisherman asked. "Is it okay that it's been underwater?"

"What are you talking about?" Keisuke grinned. "It's just like Yu said, now their salty just the way she likes them!"

"Hohoho." The lady laughed. "Exactly! I don't have to salt them this time!"

Everyone laughed. "I see!" the fisherman grinned. "They look yummy and full of minerals!"

"Hohohoho."

"You know…the Pinchers may be right about them." Erika said as the fisherman left.

"What do you mean?" Keisuke asked.

"They were a gift from her family. That alone makes them a precious treasure."

Kate smiled. "The warm feeling of receiving something from someone important to you…that's something money can't buy."

Keisuke nodded. "True. I'm glad we got it back from those guys."

Kellyn and Kate possessed. "Quest Clear!"

A lady spotted them and hurried over. "Oh, Rangers, your timing couldn't be better!"

"Is something wrong?" Kellyn asked.

"I just saw a couple in the same outfit being chased by Vespiquen and some black Pokemon."

"Some black Pokemon?" Yu asked.

"I've never them it before…but anyway, they must be a couple, because they were wearing the same thing. Do you think you can save them?"

"Of course. This sounds urgent." Keisuke said.

Erika sighed. "You never change Keisuke. Still soft hearted as ever. Well, this doesn't sound like too much trouble. I'll help."

"Yeah, we'll save them!" Yu nodded. "Takumi and the others aren't the only heroes here anymore!"

"I suppose we'd better get going as well." Kellyn said.

"I guess so." Kate turned to her grandmother. "Sorry to cut this meeting short grandma. Kellyn and I will come visit you again soon. We're going to be in Oblivia for a while."

"Hohoho! Come anytime you want. I'll have snacks for you two."

The Rangers posed again. "Quest on!"

"Where did you see them?" Erika asked.

"The couple went off crying to the west of Sophian Road." The lady replied. "They were followed by many agitated Vespiquen!"

"Why?" Kate asked. "What did they do?"

The woman put a hand on her chin. "Come to think of it, I didn't get a good look at them…"

"Well, let's hurry and find them before something bad happens." Kellyn said. "Come on gang. If we catch Staraptors, we'll be there in no time."

Erika picked up Wormmon and in a blue flash they became Hudiemon again. "I'll go on ahead. Keisuke, Yu, help them find flying Pokemon."

"Wait, we should go with you." Keisuke said.

"Stop worrying, I'll be fine." Hudiemon said before flying off.

Keisuke sighed. "She really can get reckless sometimes. Well, let's find you two some birds to ride on and hurry after her."

"Hey, guys!" Summer came soaring in on Staraptor. "What's going on over here?"

"Summer! Good timing." Kate said. "Someone spotted a couple being chased by Vespiquen! Think you can lend us a hand?"

"Of course! Where at?"

Two Z.Z. Flyers flew through Sophian Road. They stopped when they hit a dead end. Two Vespiquen caught up to them. "Wheeze… Oh, those Vespiquen! Why do they hate us so much?"

"Wheeze… Why are they chasing us?"

The pilots looked at each other. "We've done many evil things, so Pokemon all over Oblivia must hate us."

"You know? That really makes me sad…"

"There you are!" Hudiemon approached the angry Pokemon from behind.

The Pokemon turned around and the Z.Z. pilots looked at her. "Huh? Who's that?"

"Weird costume she's wearing…"

Hudiemon then got a look at them. "What? More Pinchers?" The Vespiquen shot purple needles at her. She jumped to the side to evade. "Ugh. I can't believe we're risking our lives for these creeps." Erika's voice said in her head. She backflipped and charged at one of them. "Flying Kick!" She kicked one of them into a nearby tree.

"Whoa!" One of the pinchers gapped. "Who the heck is that?!"

Hudiemon looked at the other one. "Consider that a warning! Either leave here or hit the ground just as hard as that one!"

The Vespiquen shot more stingers at her, and Hudiemon easily evaded again. But this time before she could counterattack a burst of web came out of the trees and she yelped as her arms and torso were enveloped in the sticky substance from her left. "What now!?" She looked into the trees to see a massive spider with multiple eyes. "A Dokugemon?!"

"Poison Thread!" Another web came at her from her right. She looked in that direction to see another Dokugemon. Then one landed in front of her with the other landing behind her. And more web sticked to her midsection from the front and back. The four spiders surrounding her pulled back, each tugging the tether trapping Hudiemon firmly until they were straight, and lifted her slightly off the ground her feet dangled uselessly.

"Argh!" Hudiemon's legs flailed as she tried to free her arms from the sticky mass. "You've got to be kidding me!"

The Vespiquen got up and prepared to attack again, when they heard something in the air. They flew up and narrowly evaded a Hyper Beam. Latias flew in with Summer and Keisuke ridding it and Kellyn was holding onto one of its arms. On Summer's Staraptor Kate and Yu came in next. They party landed nearby. Keisuke looked at his teammate trapped in a four-way web. "Erika, are you alright?!"

"Yeah. Fantastic." Hudiemon grumbled. "Nothing let getting stuck, suspended from the ground by a sticky, gross, mess and unable to move your arms or wings at all."

"Wow, butterfly caught in a web." Yu muttered. "Like I never heard that one before."

"Shut up, Yu!"

"Well, maybe next time don't rush out all on your own." Keisuke said.

Hudiemon turned to Keisuke. "You know, you're not exactly one to talk about reckless actions Keisuke!"

"She's kinda got you there, man." Yu said.

Summer looked at the Digimon. "D-Dokugemon?! How are there four of her now?!"

Kellyn looked at them men. "More Pinchers?"

The Pinchers looked at Summer, Kate and Kellyn. "Oh, Pokemon Rangers! Please! Please help us! We'll never be bad again!"

"Should we?" Kate asked.

"We can't abandon people in need Kate." Kellyn said. "Even former criminals. Besides, Hudiemon's kinda already neck deep into this. Literally."

"If you guys are done pointing out my humiliating situation here, can you maybe do something about it?!" The Digimon yelled.

"Hang on, Hudiemon, we got this!" Summer said as Keisuke and Yu got their Digimon out. "Latias, Staraptor, go-

"Spider Thread!" suddenly red ribbons flew at the team from behind. Summer, Kate, Kellyn, Keisuke and Yu didn't have the chance to do anything before all five were each tied up from their shoulders to their hips, immobilizing their arms.

"Hey!" Kate shrieked in surprise.

"Where did this come from?!" Yu panicked.

Summer twisted and turned. "It's too strong!"

"Keisuke!" Tentomon and the other partners were about to rush in and help. Then a strange green mist flew into the team. The Digimon and Pokemon stopped in their tracks. "Ack! Gas…bad…" Tentomon, Otamamon and Staraptor passed out. Latias was on the ground and tried to stay up until a Vespiquen whacked it over the head, knocking it out. Hudiemon groaned weakly before glowing blue. Then it was Erika trapped in the Dokugemons' web and Wormmon landed on the ground in front of her. Both were unconscious.

The humans it the group were coughing and hacking. "What…is this…" Keisuke groaned. "I feel…funny…" he was the first to pass out on the ground. Then Yu and Summer followed.

Kate hared a squawk and saw Starly panicking, hovering above the gas. "Starly…get…help…" Kate weakly groaned before she and her brother passed out."

The Pokemon flew away as fast as it could.

Back at Rands house, Date was pouring herself a mug of coffee. She sighed to herself. "The kids went out in a hurry again. Guess that means we're stuck house watching today."

"Awww…" Lopmon sighed. "I was hoping to go on more adventures. Oh well. We can still hang out with Nema, Tokomon and Calumon."

Just then Ryuji came into the room. "Oh, hey. I thought I was the only one here."

The detective turned around. "Oh! R-Ryuji! I…uh…Didn't think you'd be alone."

"Well, Erika wanted to go see Oblivia's sights, so Keisuke and Yu volunteered to take her. Chitose said he was going on a "patrol" but I can't help but feel his definition of the word might mean something different then when the rest of us use it."

"Yeah, no kidding." Date murmured. "So…uh…want some coffee?"

"Depends. Did Kyoko or her assistants make it?"

"No, Rand and Ben saved us from that. Takumi was about to volunteer to make it, then Rand and Ben had Berkhart and his gang fake an emergency at the tower and had the Cyber Sleuths and their teacher come with him to "resolve" it."

Monodramon let out a sigh of relief. "Whew! Bullet dodged."

Ryuji laughed. "Yeah, Sure, I'll have some."

After they each had a mug they went over to the coffee table. "Alright Makiko, don't freak out, just try to keep cool. Just start a conversation and try not make things awkward." Date cleared her throat. "So…What did Kamishiro do to drag you into this world." Date then froze as she realized what she said. "Dangnabit Makiko!"

"Well…I got job for Kamishiro fairly recently. I was eager to start repaying my parents. I've been kind of a pain to them."

"Yeah…I was kinda like that until I met Mataysohi."

"Really?"

"Yeah. I was part of a gang until I met him. We all went our separate ways, but I think I took the wildest turn by ending up in the police. You seemed to know him well. How'd you met?"

"Under bizarre circumstances. He arrested me and Chitose once. Some hacker was blackmailing him, and I got caught trying to cover him. But Matayoshi was impressed with how we looked out for each other. So not only did he help protect us from any charges, but he got the guy blackmailing Chitose. We owe the man."

Lopmon then got up on the couch. "So, humans can change huh? Like how we Digimon can Digivolve or Pokemon evolve?"

"That's a good way of putting it." Date laughed. "Just as you become more powerful when you Digivolve, I also became a better person."

"I wonder if we can make all bad people Digivolve into better people?"

"That's rather optimistic." Monodramon replied. "Not all people change. Take Sabios for example. Even after a thousand years he's still the same egotistic monster. I don't know if Arceus can change him…"

"True." Ryuji said. "But not all of those guys are beyond hope. Red Eyes and Blue Eyes used to be enemies to Arata and the others, right?" Ryuji turned to Date. "In a way, you're kind of like Blue Eyes. You're working with what you were once against, and trying to find your own path."

"Yeah. You kinda are like Red Eyes. Always acting cool and stuff." Date muttered blushing.

"Huh? Did you say something?"

"Nothing!"

Takumi and Ami sighed as they returned with Ben. "Seriously, how can Berkhark "accidently" scramble the radio frequency on the Wireless Tower?" Takumi groaned. "What a dufos."

"Oh, hey guys, what did we miss?" Ami asked, looking at Makiko and Ryuji.

"Ugh, why now?" Date murmured.

"Huh? Something wrong?" Ben asked.

"Nothing!"

"Where's your boss?" Ryuji asked.

"She wanted to give Berkhart and Rand a rundown on steps to avoid this kind of mistake again." Ami replied.

"STAAAAAAAA!" Starly flew into the room.

"Gah! Bird in the house!" Date yelled.

"Wait, it's just Starly." Ben said. "What's up little guy? You look spooked."

"Wait…why isn't Kate with you?" Palmon asked.

"Star! Star! Star!" Starly flew in front of the Cyber Sleuths.

"Hey…did something happen to Kate?" Terriermon asked.

Starly flew towards the door. "I think he's trying to lead us." Takumi said. "Come on, we better check this out."

"I'm coming too!" Date stood up.

"Wait." Ryuji put a hand on her shoulder. "We shouldn't rush in without a plan."

"But we can't just leave Kate hanging!" Ben retorted.

"Yeah! Besides, how are we supposed to plan when we don't even know what's going on?" Ami asked.

Ryuji looked at the twins for a moment. "Fair enough. How about this? You three go see what's going on. Then contact me and Makiko and I can come up with a plan."

"Okay." Takumi nodded.

"Hey, just don't do anything crazy!" Date yelled as the Cyber Sleuths ran out of the house. "*sigh* I really don't know how I feel about this Ryuji. I mean how long will it take for us to form a plan?"

Ryuji put his mug down and smiled. "Maybe I already have one."

"Huh?"

Back on Sophian Road, both the ex-Pinchers and the entire team that was trying to rescue them were stuck dangling in trees by Dokugemon webs, that tied their arms to their torsos. The three Rangers and the Pinchers were dangling upside down by web around their ankles. The three Hudie members were dangling by the web around their torsos and arms, but their legs were free. For what little good it did them with their legs far from reaching the ground.

Summer groaned exhausted from her struggling. "I'm always getting tied up! Why?! Why am I always getting tied up?!"

Kate chuckled at her. "Maybe you're just cursed to be a damsel in distress. And Ben's your heroic prince." Summer growled at Kate with her face bright red. Half from anger, half from embarrassment.

"Well, this sucks…" Yu groaned, hanging his head.

"Yeah, not so funny now, is it Yu?" Erika asked glancing at the boy.

"How long have we been upside down like this?" Kellyn groaned. "I'm getting dizzy…"

The Partner Digimon/Pokemon as well as Latias were on the floor nearby with web, cocooning them with only their heads sticking out. "How did we even get in this mess?" Wormmon sighed.

"Good question. Perhaps you two could shed some light on that?" Kate glared at the two webbed Pinchers dangling next to her.

"Again, with this?! For crying out loud we've done nothing wrong!"

"You're in a poor position to be lying." Keisuke glared.

"We're not! We were just minding our own business when those Vespiquen came after us!"

"Well, those green uniforms and Z.Z. Flyers are rather infamous for troublemakers in the region." Kellyn said. The four Dokugemon and two Vespiquen were watching their captives.

Ben, Takumi and Ami were hiding behind a nearby tree. "Oh, dear." Ami muttered. "They got themselves in a real sticky mess this time."

"Both figuratively and quite literally." Takumi nodded with his Digivice on. "Ryuji, are you seeing this?"

On the other end the man groaned. "I should have known those three couldn't keep out of trouble. Get them out of there!"

"We're on it." Ben nodded. He turned to his and Kate's Partners. "Okay, Pichu, Starly, here's the plan. We'll get the enemy's attention. Once their focused on us, you two go free our friends." The bird nodded.

"Something's not right…" Seraphimon said. "None of the Dokugemon feel like the one we know…"

"Let's save our friends first, then we can work on that riddle. Alright, showtime!"

Seraphimon and Dianamon stood ready. The teens gave a signal and their Digimon charged. "Strike of the Seven Stars!" Takumi's Digimon got the jump on one of the Digimon and destroyed it.

Dianamon flew above him and her boots glowed. "Good Night Moon!" Her boots glowed and one of the Vespiquen feel asleep and Ben started looping his Styler around it. The other shot purple stingers at her, but she twirled her weapon and they bounced off it.

"Summer, are you alright?!" Ben asked.

"Ben!"

"And the prince finally arrives." Kate grinned.

The others saw the twins step out. "Takumi! Ami! Get us out of here!" Yu yelled.

"Hang in there, we're on it!" Takumi said.

"That's seriously tasteless given the situation!" Summer whined.

Starly swooped in and cut the tethers keeping the human in the tree and they dropped down, yelping as they hit the ground. "That better?" Ami asked.

"Yeah, thanks." Summer muttered. They were still tied up, but they were no longer suspended in the air.

"Poison Thread!" One of the Dokugemon spat a web at Seraphimon, but the angel dodged it.

Starly then flew towards Kate, ready to pierce the web binding her arms with his little beak with Pichu heading for Summer… "Destruction Cannon!" And then a violet blast knocked them both out with one hit.

"Starly!" Kate screamed.

"Pichu!" Ben yelled.

"Spider Thread!" Red ribbons ensnared, Seraphimon and Dianamon from behind tying them up.

"What the- Takumi, Ben and Ami turned around.

A creature cackled as it walked up to them. "Oh, look. More flies buzzing into my parlor." From the waist down it looked like a red spider with six legs. But it had a humanish torso arms, and head, thought it had red horns and silver hair.

"What the heck is that?!" Ben asked.

Ami scanned it. "Arukenimon. Ultimate Level Virus Type. The queen that precedes over all Dokugemon. It's a cunning Digimon with an extremely short temper."

"Ah, the Cyber Sleuths. I was hoping you'd be next in line." The Digimon cackled.

Dianamon gasped. "That voice…Dokenemon?! You Digivolved again?!"

"That's right. You there, the boys. You remember our last encounter, don't you? You left me dangling by my own web and had the Pokemon in the cave beat me up! I still get sore just from thinking about it!"

"You say it like you did nothing to deserve it." Takumi retorted.

"But since then, I've been honing my abilities, pushed past my limits, fueled by my resentment for you brats…and now I have evolved beyond Champion level just like your Digimon! I am finally stronger than you!"

"Is it just me or does she get even more chatty with each Digivolution?" Dianamon asked.

"Make your jokes while you can human puppet. But I have you both trapped, and now it'll be you who get beat on while tie- Just as Arukenemon was talking, Dianamon and Seraphimon instantly tore the web binding them off their bodies. "What?!"

"I'm sorry, you were saying?" Seraphimon asked.

"Th-that's impossible! I Digivolved to Ultimate now!"

"Congratulations." Dianamon replied sarcastically. "You're still weaker than Mega Level, which we are at now, not to mention roughly half of the Digimon we fought in the Sky Fortress."

"…Oh…Maybe I should have stayed hidden."

"Shoulda when you coulda." Ben grinned.

Seraphimon punted the Digimon into the air. Dianamon jumped up and slashed her repeatedly with her weapon. "Acid Mist!" On her way down, Arukenimon spewed green gas at Dianamon, but she twirled her weapon like a propeller so fast it blew it away. As she tried to get up, Seraphimon appeared behind her, grabbed her wrists and pulled her arms back with his feet pressed against her back. "GAAAAAAAAAAH! S-stop that!"

"Not so funny when you're the one getting picked on is it?" Seraphimon asked.

"Please! Have mercy-y-y-y!"

Dianamon pointed her weapon at her. "I don't know. After what you did, I'm not in such a good mood."

Arukenimon cackled. "Neither am I…"

"What?"

"B-Ben!" Summer screamed as the Dokugemon and Vespiquen got closer to her and the other captives.

Ben gasped as he turned around. "Summer!" He was about to run to her when the Pokemon shot violet stingers that just missed his feet.

"Ha That's right!" Arukenimon laughed. "Now are you going to play nice or do your friends need to be my darling Dokugemon's meal?"

Takumi growled. "Seraphimon…let her go."

"Tch!" Takumi's Digimon released Arukenimon's arms. The fiendish Digimon grunted as the strain on her arms stopped.

"That's more like it…" she cackled rubbing her wrists. "Now you two go back into their puny Rookie forms. And you weak humans put your hands behind your backs." Ben, Takumi, and Ami growled as they did as instructed. Dianamon and Seraphimon returned to Palmon and Terriermon. "Good! Now…Spider Thread!" Arukenimon shot more red ribbons. First Pichu, Starly, Terriermon and Palmon were cocooned like the other allied Pokemon and Digimon. Then Ben, Takumi and Ami had their arms tightly wrapped.

"Well, so much for our rescue." Yu sighed.

"Ben…" Summer shuddered as her fellow Ranger and the Cyber Sleuths were marched over to them and sat down.

Arukenimon leered at her prey. "Now then, I was going to just leave you hanging in the tree, maybe see if some wild Pokemon attack you with the Pinchers here as well…"

"Leave us out of this!" one of the Pinchers yelped.

"But I thought of something even more fun…" She slowly got closer to Ami.

"W-what do you think you're-MPH!" Arukenimon shot more ribbons that wrapped around Ami's mouth. Then they moved upward covering the rest of her face.

"Ami! Stop it!" Takumi yelled before more came at him, wrapping his face up too. Soon both his and his sisters' heads were completely covered and wrapped. All they could make was muffled screams.

"Takumi! Ami!" Ben shouted.

"Stop! They can't breathe like that, they'll suffocate!" Kate yelled.

"I know!" Arukenimon laughed as her threads ensnared Takumi and Ami's legs together by the ankles and slowly proceeded up their legs. "Isn't that fun?!" When she was done with them, one wouldn't be able to tell them apart without their muffled voices. They were mummified tightly and just looked like red human shaped packages. They weakly struggled on the ground as it got harder for them to breath.

"Takumi!"

"Ami!" Palmon and Terriemron started wriggling in their own cocoons, desperate to save their friends.

"Who's next? How about you?!" Arukenimon proceeded to do the same thing to Ben, starting with the head.

"Ben! No!" Summer screamed before a Dokugemon's web splattered against her mouth gagging her. As Ben's head was wrapped and Arukenimon proceeded to his legs, her minion webbed Summer's head up, wrapping it tightly. As she lost access to air to breath she screamed and squirmed on the ground as her legs were wrapped next, and she was turned into a human shaped cocoon.

One by one the spider Digimon moved onto the other humans. Soon Keisuke, Yu, Erika, Kellyn, Kate, Ben, Summer, Takumi, Ami and both the ex-Pinchers were all either cocooned in either ribbon or web and were rolling and flailing of the ground, struggling to breathe. Arukenimon laughed as they squirmed. Takumi and Ami's movements were starting to slow down. "Any last words humans? You know, besides "mumble, mumble"?"

She then felt a hand on her shoulder and turned her head around. Just in time to catch a glimpse of Justimon's fist before it collided into her face and flung her into a tree.

"Hmph?!" Erika stopped squirming when she heard a noise and felt someone pull her into an upright sitting position and started tearing web off of her head. The cocoon was ripped from the top and her head was pulled free. She gasped for air and looked behind her. "R-Ryuji?!"

"Are you okay? Hold on a moment. We better help the others before they run out of air."

Takumi sat up and took a deep breath as the red ribbon was united from his head and looked at the detective that unwrapped it. "M-Makiko?! When did-

"Ask the questions later." She replied getting Ami into a sitting position and working on her next while Ryuji helped Keisuke.

The Dokugemon leered at Justimon and were about to attack. "Heaven's Judgment!" Lightning struck them and they were destroyed. Kerpymon descended behind him. The Vespiquen charged next only to get thwacked unconscious by Justimon's mechanical arm.

Once the Digimon Tamers and the Pokemon Rangers had their heads unwrapped, Date and Ryuji went to the last two. "Alright, who are these two?"

They unwrapped the web from the Pinchers heads and they gasped. "Oh, thank goodness." One of them gasped. "I thought I was a goner."

"You! What are you doing here?!"

"They were being harassed by Pokemon." Kellyn replied. He and the others were still wrapped from the neck down, but at least they could breathe again.

"You sure it's not the other way around?"

Arukenimon groaned and shook her head as she got up. "Who the-More Digimon relying on humans?!"

"You sound surprised." Justimon said. "If anything, you're the only Digimon here who doesn't work with humans."

"You're in trouble now!" Terriemron said. "Justimon and Kerpymon are also Mega Level! And they're Vaccine Type!"

Ryuji glared at her. "And I don't think we appreciate what you just did to my sister, my brothers, or my friends."

"Same here!" Date added cracking her knuckles.

Arukenimon slowly backed up. "O-okay, I know what you're thinking… "Should I beat this Digimon up?" Funny thing is, the answer…probably isn't what you—"

"Justice Kick!" Justimon foot dived her in the face.

"THIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINK!" Arukenimon screamed as she was flung into a rock and bounced off it so hard, she went flying towards Kerpymon who rammed his arms into her and sent her into the distance and eventually out of sight.

"That's the end of that." Date smiled. "Nice going there!"

"Uh, thanks." Ryuji replied. "Glad you were there to help."

"Thanks for the save guys." Ben said. "But while I hate to interrupt your moment of triumph; Can you please let us out of this already?!"

Ryuji looked at Ben and the others who were still cocooned from the neck down. Summer, Ami, Kate and Yu were struggling to get out of it. "Oh, right."

"Hold on." Date grinned as she took out her Digivice and pointed it at the group.

They were alarmed by the snaping sound and glared at her. "If you post that anywhere, I will make you regret it." Erika warned.

"Oh relax, I'll just send it to Nokia, nobody else, I promise."

"Nokia will show it to everyone!" Ami whined.

Date smugly smirked at her. "I know. Why else would I chose her? I mean besides the fact that she sent me that really funny photo."

"What photo?" Kate asked.

"It better not be the one I'm thinking of…" Summer growled.

"Hold on…" Date scrolled through her photos and showed an image of Ben and Summer leaning against each other asleep on a couch.

Ben and Summer scowled at the picture with a deep blush. "…Dang…nabbit…Nokia…"

"Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaw~!" Kate teasingly grinned at them.

The Pinchers however couldn't see the picture from where they were. "What's going on?" one of them asked.

"Nothing." Ben sighed. "Just…mourning the loss of my dignity."

It took a while, but everyone was eventually free from their cocoons. Most of them were stretching out. "Ah, it's good to be able to move again." Kate said.

The Pinchers sighed in relief as they were freed last. "Thank you, heroes!"

"Don't go thanking us just yet." Kellyn said. "Why were those Pokemon chasing you?"

"Probably because we're still dressed like this…ever since the Pincher disbanded, we've been shunned and harassed…"

"Makes sense given everything you guys have done." Takumi replied.

"I know…But I guess we can't do anything about it…"

"Don't say that." Ryuji said.

Keisuke looked at him in surprise. "Ryuji?"

"If you truly regret what you've done then just start over."

"He's right you know." Date added. "You're in charge of your own life. If you don't like what you are now, reinvent yourselves. Become something better. All you need is a fresh start."

"…Maybe you're right." One of them smiled.

The other nodded. "We won't wear Pinchers' uniforms any longer."

"We'll change, and we'll even get real jobs!" The two of them went behind a tree. When they come out, one wouldn't even be able to tell that they were Pinchers and they left.

"Well, that worked out nicely." Kerpymon smiled.

"What about the Vespiquen?" Yu asked.

Summer's Styler beeped. "The Vespiquen must be in that tree."

"I see. So as long as nobody does a Target Clear or anything stupid, they should stay quiet." Summer said.

"Say Ryuji, how did you get here so fast?" Ami asked. "We only called you a couple minutes ago."

"Actually, we left about a minute after you did. We were watching from a distance the entire time."

"What?!" Takumi, Ami, Ben, Terriermon and Palmon gapped.

"Ryuji thought the enemy might not show their full hand right away, so he figured if you kids rushed in first and sprung their trap, they'd have no surprises left when we came in." Date grinned. "Pretty clever, huh?"

"What are we, your decoys?!" Ben glared.

"You always were a crude strategist, Ryuji." Erika muttered.

"Don't think for a moment we'll forget this you jerk." Ami growled.

The others sighed. "Anyway, we should go report this." Kellyn said.

"Do we have to?" Kate asked. "I'd rather nobody ever found out about this."

Returning to Aqua Resort, the team found the lady that asked for help. "The deed is done." Kellyn said.

"So, the couple is safe? I'm glad to hear that. Good job, heroes." She then glanced away. "Their fashion sense…Well, I guess that's what young people are wearing these days. I see it often around here."

The Rangers posed "Quest Clear!"

As the team started to fly back to Renbow Island, they chatted for a while. "So, you ran into more Pinchers while trying to help your grandma?" Ben asked.

"Yeah." Kellyn nodded. "Some of them are still causing trouble…"

Kate nodded. "But then again, those other two we saved-

"We"? Ryuji and I saved them along with the rest of your hides!" Date said. "You're welcome by the way!"

Everyone sighed. "In any case!" Kate yelled. "They just wanted to leave that life behind them. Thinking about it, we were informed that the Pinchers joined team one World, but those guys couldn't have been part of them considering we arrested every one of them."

"I guess not all the Pinchers joined Team One World. Like Red Eyes, Blue Eyes and their friends. Not to mention Leanne's assistant." Ami replied.

"Some may change their ways. Others won't." Ryuji said. "Change isn't something we can force on others. It's something they have to strive for willingly. And it's not an easy choice to make."

"But like you two said, anyone can change if they try." Summer smiled.

"I hope we can help more people change for the better Makiko." Kerpymon said.

Date smiled. "Yeah. It felt good to know we helped those two find better lives. Maybe more of them will see that possibility someday…"
