Chapter ten:
"This way!"
The turtles turn seeing April and Casey manage to get a path to escape open. They head towards them with Raph helping Leo to his feet.
Raph keeps himself between Leo and as many of the alphas as he can. He glares at the enemies that despite getting their asses kicked look like they've won. He turns away to focus on getting away to get his mate to safety.
They go underground and go through the sewers until they make it back home.
Raph hugs his mate close as the others turn to them. "Are you okay?" He checks Leo for any injuries that might need some attention. He sees a bruise on the back of his mates neck though that's it.
"I'm sorry." Leo apologizes looking rather upset. "I didn't mean for that to happen." He shakes and is swiftly hugged by all of his brothers.
"So. Omega Leo." April mentions causing Leo to turn to her. Her arms crossed over her chest with a smile on her beta face.
Leo glances away with a soft nod of confirmation.
"That's fine. I don't mind." Aprils words cause Leo to slightly turn to her.
"Yeah." Casey agrees even though he is an alpha. He pulls his mate April close to himself. "We're okay with supporting you. Omega or not."
Leo only feels a slight relief on that. He glances to the ground knowing he has made the outside world much more dangerous. "But out there is going to be so much more dangerous now."
"They won't defeat us." Raph snorts. "And if they try anything funny then I'll show them that they were wrong."
"Yeah! Don't worry Leo. We'll fight anyone who thinks they can try anything." Donnie agrees as Mikey nods.
Leo still feels really bad about what had just happened. Maybe if he had been better this wouldn't have happened.
The others break the hug and look to Leo who doesn't look to them. They are worried about him.
Raph puts an arm around Leo. "Come on. Let's get you dried off before you catch a cold." He looks to the others silently asking them to let him try. He leads Leo to the bathroom to get a towel to dry him off.
None of the others follow as they let Raph take care of his mate for now.
Donnie and Mikey head to tell Splinter what has happened.
April and Casey glance to each other worried about what will happen now. They then join Mikey and Donnie in talking to Splinter.
"There. All dry." Raph pulls away as he finishes drying his once soaked mate. He leans in kissing the other on the cheek. "Leo. Baby look at me."
Leo turns to Raph. "Did you just call me baby?" He questions only to be kissed. He closes his eyes leaning into the kiss.
After a few moments the two pull apart looking each other in the eye.
"I'm sorry." Leo apologizes and leans into Raphs caress of his cheek. "I made the surface even more dangerous for you guys."
"Leo. It's okay. We're awesome ninjas." Raph points out keeping his gaze locked with his mates own. "We can fight. And don't let this make you forget how strong you are. You're our leader for a reason. Omega or not. Hell you even defeat me pretty easily." He leans in nuzzling the others cheek that is not the one his hand is on. "My love. It'll all be okay. We can fight."
Leo closes his eyes then moves to bury his face into Raphs neck. He inhaleds his mates scent as the other wraps his arms around him. He feels safe like Raph is protecting him from the harsh world.
After cuddling in the bathroom for a bit the two walk out holding hands. They notice the others in the living room waiting for them.
Leo can see the others are looking at him with comfort and assurance. He knows that they are hoping that he feels better about what has happened. He can at least promise them that he isn't going to hide like before. He has realized that it won't help at all. He just wishes he hadn't put them in so much danger.
Splinter clears his throat gaining everyone's attention. "This is something none of us could control." He says and Leo knows it was really directed at him, saying that he can't control that he is an omega plus that things happen sometimes. "For the time being until things can go back to being safer I am putting in restrictions. Michelangelo and Leonardo cannot go out alone." He sees that they understand why he has made this choice. "This is only temporary until we make sure that those up there know better than to try anything. You two must have at least one alpha with you if you leave the lair. You two especially are now in danger being known omegas. You out of everyone will be the main targets of other alphas out there. Even with what has happened they'll prefer to go after you two than your alpha brothers." He gets nods of understanding from the two omegas. He also sees their mates stand close truly ready to protect them. "This will all blow over. We'll just have to wait until then and do what we can to protect each other."
That night Raph is in his room planning to go to Leo's room as it is pretty much bed time. He had came in here to decide if he should bring his teddy to try to help Leo. He turns as his door opens and he sees Leo enter his room. He heads over to the other and pulls him into a hug as the other keeps his gaze down.
"Can... Can we sleep here tonight?" Leo inquires almost hesitantly. He feels Raph nod his head before he is nuzzled.
"Yeah. That is fine." Raph leads Leo towards his hammock. He climbs in then brings Leo in as well. He lays back with his mate laying on top of him. He gently massages Leo's neck to comfort him.
Leo has his arms around him as best as he can. He inhales the others scent letting it distract him with the enjoyment of being with his alpha.
Raph closes his eyes taking in Leo's scent as well. He always feels complete with his dearest omega close by.
The two let each other's scents help them drift off into sleep together on the hammock.
The next day Donnie and Mikey head out keeping alert as they head to grab some groceries.
Donnie keeps his stance tall and he glared at any alphas that look like they might cause something. He does so to remind them that he is still an alpha and will fight if he has to.
Lucky for them most of the alphas have been out with their omegas, that manage to pull the alphas attention away.
Donnie gets them stop and stands in front of Mikey as two alphas step in front of them.
"So. Your so called leader is a pathetic omega." A dog mutant alpha growls in a sneer at the two.
"Leo may be an omega but he's not pathetic! He is strong!" Mikey snaps at the alphas who look at Donnie.
"So not only do you follow an omega, but you also don't have your own omega under control." The human alpha laughs at this. "Omegas should be obedient to serve alphas you failure of an alpha. It's all they're good for."
Donnie growls narrowing his eyes and grabs his staff, as the other two alphas get ready to fight him. "I will make sure you spread the word to not mess with us. No matter who in our group is an omega. We will fight whoever dares to try anything. I will make an example out of you two."
Mikey grabs his nunchucks ready to back his mate up on this. "Not even us omegas are weak. You'll see." He speaks in agreement with Donnie.
The two alphas charge towards them.
Donnie slams into the dog alpha using his staff to block an attempted bite at him. He then uses his strength to shove the other away.
The dog mutant lands on his back then gets up charging again at Donnie with a snarl.
Mikey swings his nunchucks slamming it into the humans stomach then kicks him away.
The human lands on his back then gets up with a groan. He looks furious at Mikey. "I'll teach you some manners you disobedient omega!" He charges again only for Mikey to knock him away again with a hit to his jaw. He cries out in pain as there is a loud crack.
Mikey takes the moment of pause to slightly glance to Donnie. He sees the other slam into the dog mutant's back.
Donnie forces the dog mutant to the ground slamming his staff on the back of the others neck. He looks to Mikey just as the other turns to knock the charging human alpha away again. He sees that Mikey hit the other in the chest with his nunchucks hard probably breaking some ribs.
The human alpha doesn't get up from the ground right away. He glances and notices the dog mutant is pinned. He gives a final glare at Mikey then heads off holding his torso.
"That's what we'll do to anyone who tries anything!" Donnie calls to any other nearby alpha. He lets the dog mutant go who chases after the human alpha. He chases the dog mutant last Mikey before stopping having become sure that the two are leaving. He looks to other nearby alphas who head off leaving them alone. He hopes that the word will press to still not mess with them.
"Donnie!" Mikey suddenly gasps causing Donnie to spin around. He is lifted into the air by a floating robot that grabbed him from behind.
"Mikey!" Donnie gasps then sees a figure move out in front of him.
The figure is a woman with shoulder length black hair, black clothing, and red contact lenses. She smirks to Donnie. "You try anything and I'll take out your mate." She taunts then chuckles. "Don't think that I didn't see you that night."
"So it was you who was sneaking around that night." Donnie growls in realization. He spins around hearing Mikey call his name in panic. He sees the robot flying off with his mate. He gives chase only to be stopped by people dressed in all black, exactly like the enemies that had been there when Leo's omega scent was revealed.
The robot carrying Mikey turns around a building disappearing from view.
Mikey can't stop it as his arms are pinned to his sides. He just keeps his grip on his nunchucks to try to not lose them.
Donnie is about to fight his way through, when he glances back as the woman comes up behind him. He glared at her with a growl not caring about her alpha scent reaching him.
"Now listen here. You will be doing what I tell you to. Or else your mate will be killed. It'll be as simple as one order from me for that to happen." The woman smirks widely at Donnie. "You will not tell the others about this either. Not as long as we have your mate hostage." She moves closer as Donnie continues to glare at her, despite him being surrounded. She leans a little close locking eyes with the alpha turtle. "I want you to sneak this into your family's food or drinks." She tosses a plastic bottle to Donnie containing a liquid Donnie doesn't know.
The bottle lands at the alpha turtles feet.
"When the deed is done go to the spot where I saw you two that night. I will be making sure you actually do what you were told. We have our ways. We've been observing you all for awhile now. If we find out that you didn't do it then your mate is history." She turns and hops onto a robot that also picks up those that are her minions.
Donnie tries to chase them hoping to be lead to Mikey... However the robot is too fast and he quickly loses it. He heads back picking up the bottle and looks at it as his panicked mind tries to figure out what to do.
