Yuugo and Yuuko were in their father's office with Rei. Satoru was looking at his laptop. "I'm still speaking with the government about establishing laws regarding Digimon." The man said. "But even if we can do that it'll be hard to convince everyone to treat them like living things."

"They may be made of data, but they think and feel too." Yuuko insisted.

"I believe you Yuuko. The time I spent talking to your Digimon made that clear to me. But it will be hard to convince the public that. Once we do start bringing Digimon here more openly, some may try to use them for cybercrime."

"Too bad we can't prove the Digital World exists." Rei said.

"Even if we did, some people will just think it was something somebody created." Yuugo replied. "Also, it's not just humans we need to be careful about. Like Yuuko said, Digimon can think for themselves, so they might start committing crimes on their own. Just like Matadormon, Arcadiamon, and Dokunemon."

"That reminds me." Satoru said. "Whatever became of Dokunemon? I heard she caused you and your friends all sorts of trouble because she hatted humans. What lead to such hatred?"

Yuuko and Yuugo were surprised by the question. Both of them sadly looked down as they spoke. "It was near the end of our time in Oblivia when we last saw her." Yuugo said.

Lotosmon was singing in the forest clearing one night. The usual audience of Pokemon were listening, same as always. Some were even dancing. It was a peaceful evening.

But that peace was interrupted when something was heard behind her. A rustling sound. Lotosmon stopped singing when she noticed her fans were getting jittery, nervously eyeing the overgrowth. She took out both her scepters as she turned around. "Who's there?!" The Pokemon cowered behind her as the sounds got closer and closer. Lotosmon herself was starting to get uneasy. Then they heard laughter. "Seven's Fantasia!" Lotosmon shot a rainbow laser into the bushes. After that all was silent for a moment.

Then out of the overgrowth, green tentacles came out and coiled around Litosmon's arms and torso. She gasped as she was pulled into the greenery and out of sight. For a moment her legs were flailing out of the greenery, as she struggled before there was a zapping sound followed by Lotosmon's scream. Then a pink flash of light.

The Pokemon shuddered as they stared into the bushes where Lotosmon disappeared in. A Venusaur slowly approached, ready to investigate. They then saw Lotosmon slowly stand up from the overgrowth.

"Rune Forrest!"

The next morning Keisuke yawned as he came into the living room. "Morning…"

"Man, you sept like a log." Chitose said.

"Just try to stay awake, we just got something important handed to us." Kyoko said.

"Is something wrong?" Tentomon asked.

"Last night, Cocona Village was unexpectedly attacked." Rand said.

Everyone gasped. "What?! Who did it?! The Pinchers?! Or some remnant from Team One World?!" Ben asked.

"We don't know." Professor Hastings replied. "The attacker came in the middle of the night. We sent Solana and Lunick to investigate. They said nobody seemed badly injured, but houses were trashed. Booker and Nick are already rebuilding, but the villagers are scared."

"We'll let them handle the village." Matayoshi said. "We should look for the attacker. Ryuji, Chitose, Date, I want you three to search Teakwood Forrest."

"Ben, Summer, you two search Rasp Cavern." Rand instructed.

"And the rest of us?" Takumi asked.

"We can't ignore the chances of other places in Oblivia being attacked." Kyoko replied. "So, I want all of you to guard Aqua Resort and Tilt Village while also keeping an eye out for the attacker in other areas. Takumi, Ami, you two will go to Tilt Village." The twins nodded. "Keith and Rand will go to Mt. Latolato. Yuugo, Yuuko, Fei, you will check out Mitonga Road. Kellyn, Kate, you two protect Aqua Resort. Keisuke, Erika and Yu, you three investigate Sophian Road."

"We don't know what it is we're up against here." Rythmi said. "So, if you see anything call right away so we can send backup."

Professor Hastings nodded. "Agreed. Don't let pride lead to your downfall. There's no shame in calling for help when you need it."

"Be careful, all of you." Matayoshi said. "We'll be ready when you need us."

Ben nodded before looking at the others. "Let's go guys! Whoever did this won't get away with disturbing the peace we fought so hard to return to Oblivia!"

HerculessKabuterimon carried Keisuke, Yu, Erika, Kellyn and Kate through Oblivia's blue sky. "So…what do you think we're up against?" Yu asked.

"How should I know?" Keisuke replied.

"I just hope this doesn't turn out to be a huge disaster." Kellyn sighed. "Oblivia is supposed to be a peaceful region, it's seen enough chaos."

Kate nodded. "Look! There's Sophian Island!"

"Let's hope nothing goes wrong." Erika said.

Shortly after they landed, Keisuke's group walked into Aqua Resort. What they saw shocked them. "No…" Kellyn shuddered.

Looking around them, the resort was a wreck. Buildings were damaged, Pokemon and even some humans were beat up. Decorations were in tatters on the ground. "What happened here?!" Keisuke asked.

"Grandma!" Kate and Kellyn started running towards their grandmother's house. The others followed. Kate rammed the door open with her shoulder and looked around. She saw her grandmother with Angemon who was slumped against a wall. "Grandma, are you okay?!"

"Kate! Kellyn! It was horrible! That person came out of nowhere and attacked! Lucky for me, this fellow came in to protect me, but-"

Angemon weakly looked at them. "Are you…Pokemon Rangers?"

"Hey, what happened to you?!" Keisuke asked.

"You must be the Angemon from Takumi and Ami's report." Yu turned to his Digimon. "MarineAngemom!"

"Ocean Love!" MarineAngemon healed the Digimon.

Once his injuries were delt with Angemon stood up. "Thank you."

"What happened here?!" Kate asked.

"A Digimon…a Digimon suddenly started attacking Aqua Resort."

"A Digimon?" Keisuke asked. "One Digimon did all of this?"

"Just like Cocona Village." Kellyn said. "I think we found our attacker."

"Angemon, do you know who it was?" MarineAngemon asked.

"I sure do. It was a Lotosmon."

Erika gasped. "Lotosmon? You don't think it's the one Ami said she and Takumi, told us about do you? The one who's been singing in that forest clearing?"

"It can't be…" Keisuke murmured. "That's the one who-

"I'm afraid it's true."

Everyone turned to the doorway to see another familiar Digimon. "Socerimon!" Yu gasped. "When did you get here?!"

"A while ago. I was out on a walk, and when I came back, the whole resort was a wreck. I've been tending to the inured. It looks like everyone will be alright. But I'll need more time to heal everyone."

Supurna ran into the house. "Oh! The New Heroes of Oblivia are here!"

Kate ran up to her. "Supuran, are you okay?!"

"Yes. I was hiding in the forest when that…thing attack. It scared me. It had these scepters, a purple flower on her head."

"I've seen her before." Socerimon said. "It is the same Lotosmon."

"Aye." Angemon nodded. "I didn't want to believe it. But I know that voice well."

"But why would Lotosmon do this?!" Keisuke asked. "We all heard from Takumi and the others, she was a nice Digimon! She wanted to use her singing to inspire others!"

"I wish I knew. When she attacked, she said she was sick of being stuck with humanity. Something was odd though…I knew she was powerful, being a Mega Level Digimon, but she was far stronger than I remember. Yet her fighting style seemed inferior to what I remember it being…Her movements had a lot of power but were on the sloppy side."

"She gave up fighting a while ago, didn't she?" Socerimon asked. "Maybe she was just out of practice."

"Perhaps, though that certainly wouldn't explain her sudden increase in strength."

The Rangers and members of Hudie looked at each other uneasily. "We better tell the others." Kellyn said.

"What?! Lotosmon?!" Ami gasped. As Kellyn, Kate, Keisuke, Erika and Yu stood in the middle of Aqua Resort, the were on an online chat with everyone.

"I'm afraid so." Kellyn replied "I don't want to believe it, but Supuran, Angemon, and Socerimon can't all be lying…"

"But why?!" Solana asked. "She was so nice when we meet her! What would drive her to do this?!"

"Something is not right here." Lunick murmured.

"Did Angemon or the others notice anything about her behavior that seemed weird to you?" Matayoshi asked.

"Sure did." Kellyn replied. "According to him, she said she was tired of putting up with humans."

"Wait a minute, that doesn't make any sense at all." Takumi said.

"Huh?" Nokia asked. "What do you mean?"

"Lotosmon was all alone in that clearing she sings in, save for a bunch of Pokemon. I think we're the only humans she's ever interacted with."

"Is that so?" Kyoko asked. "Interesting…"

"Come to think of it, Angemon mentioned something else." Kellyn said. "He said Lotosmon was stronger than she normally was. And that her fighting style seemed off."

"Also, interesting." Kyoko nodded. "Almost…as if Lotosmon isn't controlling her own actions."

"Are you saying she's being controlled by someone?" Yuuko asked.

Yuugo nodded. "That makes sense. And we do know that Steelhead armor can enhance the abilities of those they control. That would explain Lotosmon's boost in power."

"So, a Steelhead is controlling her from a distance?" Biyomon asked. "How cowardly."

"We're going to Sophian Road." Erika said. "The attack here was only a couple of minutes ago. We might still find Lotosmon if we hurry."

"Or at the very least some kind of clue." Kellyn nodded.

"Good idea." Ami replied. "Be careful." The chat closed and Erika's group hurried towards Sophian Road.

With Erika and Wormmon turned into Hudiemon and stood ready with HerculesKabuterimon and MarineAngemon as the team made their way through the road. "See anything yet?" Kate asked.

Kellyn kept a sharp eye out. "Nothing yet."

Hudiemon heard something. She stopped moving and turned to the left. "What's wrong?" Keisuke asked.

"Someone's here."

The group rounded up back-to-back, eyes scanning the area around them. Another rustle came from the trees. "Who's there?!" Kellyn asked.

A laugh was heard. "I know that voice…" Keisuke muttered.

"Seven's Fantasia!" A rainbow light flew straight towards him.

"Keisuke!" Hudiemon caught the attack with her hands and pushed it aside.

And then Lotosmon jumped out of the trees and landed in front of them. "Lotosmon!" HerculesKabuterimon faced her.

"So that's Lotosmon." Kate murmured.

"Lotosmon, was it really you who attacked Aqua Resort?!" Keisuke asked.

Lotosmon laughed with a wicked grin. "And what if I did?"

"Why?! What did they ever do to you?! You had no reason!"

Hudiemon nudged Kellyn and whispered. "We'll handle this. You and Kate try to find the one manipulating her."

"Okay." Kellyn slowly backed away with his sister.

Lotosmon laughed. "I don't need a reason. I just got sick of seeing humans, that's all. Especially the ones who think they have the right to work alongside us Digimon. The weak should bow to the strong."

"You're wrong!" Yu said. "Humans and Digimon can coexist! Erika here is living proof of that!"

"Oh really? Then I'd best destroy that nuisance right here and now!" Lotosmon darted towards Hudiemon.

"Just try it!" As Lotosmon swung her staffs at her, Hudiemon jumped up and out of the way before charging at her. "Flying Kick!"

She kicked Lotosmon into a tree. Keisuke stepped forward. "Hudiemon, I'll-

"Don't worry, I can handle this on my own."

"But-

"Just keep quiet and watch."

Lotosmon growled as she charged again. When she thrusted one of her scepters at Hudiemon, she twirled around it and got behind Lotosmon, before spin kicking her. Lotosmon stumbled forward before jumping and swinging a roundhouse kick that Hudiemon ducked under before spinning upward, ramming her foot into Lotosmon's chin, rocketing her upward. Hudeimon then flew up and spun downward hammering her heel over her head, smacking her back into the ground. Lotosmon growled as she got up and flew back in the air, but when she swiped, Hudiemon dodged and kicked her in the back. "Stop…" Lotosmon swung again, but Hudiemon dodged and elbowed her. "Moving!" Lotosmon kicked at her again only for Hudiemon to grab her by the foot and start charging downward before throwing Lotosmon to the ground. She landed with a harsh impact.

When she tried to get up, Hudiemon stomped on her before jumping back. "Your movements are sloppy and easy to read. It's like you don't even know how to fight. This isn't you I'm fighting Lotosmon! Help me defeat it! Will you really let someone else control your future? Make you into the opposite of what you dream to be?! Don't let them steal your dreams away Lotosmon!"

Lotosmon growled as she got up. As she did, Keisuke noticed something. "Uh, guys? What's that growling out of Lotosmon's back?"

Yu shrieked when he saw what looked like spider legs. "W-what is that?!"

"Could it be what's controlling Lotosmon?"

"Let's find out!" Hudiemon flew over behind Lotosmon. She forced the Digimon on her knees with one foot on her back and grabbed at the creepy legs with her hands. "Sorry if this hurts, Lotosmon!" She grunted as she started pulling. Lotosmon screamed as she pulled what appeared to be an eyeball with spider legs. Hudiemon lost her grip and it flew into the trees as she fell backwards and Lotosmon tumbled to the ground.

"Lotosmon!" Keisuke ran over to the Digimon who was panting on the ground. "Hey, are you alright?!"

"What…" Lotosmon muttered between shaky breaths. "What have I done…?"

"Are you okay?" Hudiemon asked.

"Y-yes…you…you saved me…thank you…"

Kellyn and Kate returned. "Guys, we can't see anyone anywhere. I don't think the Steelhead are involved this time."

Hudiemon looked at Lotosmon. "Tell us what happened."

"Last night…I was singing to those Pokemon, same as always…then I heard something in the bushes nearby…I approached and…suddenly this…thing grabbed me and pulled me in…I felt this shock and then next thing I knew…"

"Yes?" Kate asked.

"I was no longer in control of my own body. I couldn't even speak. I…I was forced to attack everything I came across…I hurt so many people…"

"It's not your fault." Keisuke said. "Forget about it."

"What was it?" Kellyn asked.

Just then there was more rustling. Hudiemon dragged Lotosmon out of the way as the eyeball jumped at her. Everyone jumped back as it landed. "What the heck is that gross looking thing?!" Kate asked.

The eyeball then grew, forming a pink body with spider legs and a huge eyeball. "Th-there it is!" Lotosmon gasped. "That's what attacked me!"

"Well, it won't take you again, trust me!" Hudiemon jumped up and charged at it. "Flying Kick!"

"No, wait!"

Suddenly the monster shot green tentacles at Hudiemon that wrapped around her, trapping her arms to her side. "Ah! What the-?!"

"Electric Bind!" The tentacle zapped her making her scream. Her strength was sapped, and she fell to the ground.

"Erika!" Keisuke shouted.

"Ngh…" Still bound, Hudiemon grunted as she struggled to her feet. Then the creature lunged at her from behind and attached itself to her back, wrapping it's spider like legs around Hudiemon, further ensuring her prey wouldn't escape. "Ack! Wha…? G-get off of me, you disgusting freak!" She took a few shaky steps forward before dropping to her knees. She and the monster started glowing pink. "GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!" The monster melted and merged with her body and Hudiemon collapsed to the ground.

"What just happened?!" Kellyn yelled.

Keisuke ran over. "Erika!" He shook Hudiemon's shoulder. "Erika! Erika, are you alright?!"

Slowly Hudiemon rose up to her knees and looked at her hand. "Get away from her!" Lotosmon shouted.

"Huh?"

With no warning, Hudiemon punched Keisuke in the gut. When he hunched over, she shoved him aside. "Keisuke!" Yu ran over to his friend.

"What's the big idea?!" Kate glared.

Hudiemon laughed wickedly, sending chills down everyone's spines. "Ah…this body suits me even better than Lotosmon's."

Keisuke looked up. "What?"

Hudiemon's eyes glowed blue. "Infinity Dream!"

Everyone froze in place. "W-what is this?!" MarineAngemon granted.

"I can't…move!" Kate growled. Hudiemon laughed again as she flew off. A few seconds after that the Infinity Dream wore off.

Hououmon, Justimon, and Kerpymon flew over with Matayoshi, Date, Ryuji, and Chitose. "Is everyone alright?!" Matayoshi asked.

"What happened here? Date asked. Did you catch the perp?"

Kellyn grunted as he stood up. "We freed Lotosmon, she seems fine. But…"

Ryuji looked around. "Where's Erika?" Keisuke looked down as Yu, Kate, and Kellyn cringed.

Everyone regrouped back at Rand's house. Ryuji was silent in a chair, with his head in his hands. "Erika…Not again…"

"I can't believe this is happening…" Summer murmured.

"What about Lotosmon?" Solana asked.

"We left her in Socerimon's care." Kellyn replied. "Angemon said he'd try to go around explaining things to everyone in Aqua Resort and Cocona Village, so they know she's not to blame for what happened."

"That's all well and good, but what about Hudiemon?" Arata asked. "What are we supposed to do?"

Keisuke sighed. "Ryuji, I'm sorry…I was right there and-

Ryuji didn't even look up. "Keisuke, don't. You're right. You were there. And that alone is far more then what I can say for myself."

"What in the world was that thing?!" Yu asked. "I've never seen a Pokemon or Digimon like it!"

"Hmm…" Everyone turned to the monitor displaying Alphamon from Kyoko's digivice. "A spider with a giant eyeball…and it you said it latched onto Hudiemon and absorbed itself into her?"

"That's what it looked like." Kate replied. "I was so grossed out I nearly threw up."

"It has to be that Digimon. It has to be Parasimon."

"Parasimon?" Ami asked. "Never heard of that one."

"Can't say I'm surprised. They are an endangered species of Digimon. And very dangerous. Parasimon are Mega Level Digimon, but by themselves they are pretty weak. However, they have ability to possess any Digimon."

"So, it possessed Lotosmon first, then when we got it out of her, it decided to jump to Hudiemon?" Tentomon asked.

"There's more. When Parasimon takes control of a Digimon, it enhances the power of that Digimon. We have a real noisiness on our hands this time…"

"So how do we get it out of Erika?" Ben asked.

"I don't know…Parasimon infection isn't easy to get rid of."

"Come on, you guys did it for Lotosmon, right?" Chitose asked. "There's got to be a way!"

"Well, Erika-I mean Hudiemon started talking to Lotosmon about how what she was doing wasn't what she wanted, then it started sticking out of her back."

Alphamon thought for a moment. "Wait, you just reminded me of something. When Parasimon possesses a Digimon, it's host's desires are also highly magnified. Perhaps when it possessed Lotosmon, it twisted her desire for attention with her singing by attacking villages to get a…different kind of attention."

"So, it's bringing out Erika's desires?" Leanne asked.

"Well, how does that help us?" Fei asked. "That girl's impossible to read, how the heck do we know what her desires are?"

"The best one to ask would be Wormmon, since they have that link." Yu growled. "But since he merged with her to become Hudiemon, that means Parasimon took him with her…"

Keisuke thought for a moment before looking up. "She wants to go on an adventure with us."

Everyone turned to him. "Come again?" Rand asked.

"When Ryuji, Chitose, and I were rescuing her from the Eaters in Eden, and I hacked into her terminal, I saw what she was thinking and feeling when Wormmon told her of the Digital World. She said she'd like to go on a big adventure there with me, Ryuji, and Chitose."

"Erika…" Ami murmured.

"I see…then perhaps, the key to freeing Hudiemon is you three." Kyoko said.

"Yeah, that's gotta be the answer!" Nokia nodded. "The strong bond you share is defiantly powerful enough to break her free from that thing's control!"

"Then that's what we'll do." Yuuko said. "That just leaves us with one problem. How do we find Hudiemon?"

"There's always the Digimon scanning thing you got in the Wireless Tower." Murph suggested.

"It'll take time to scan every area in Oblivia." Yuugo said. "Besides, you saw how fast she is. The moment we approach, she'll take off before we can get close."

"I have an idea." Professor Hasting said. "For some reason it seems Parasimon is attacking places that are highly populated with people. Cocona Village, Agua Resort. There is only one place like that left in Oblivia…"

Ben's eyes widened. "Tilt Village! You think it's going there next?"

"Possibly. If we hurry, we can get there first and ambush Parasimon when it arrives."

"We're going to need a backup plan to make sure Hudiemon doesn't get away." Rand said.

Takumi grinned. "Leave that to me and Ben."

Kyoko smiled. "That grin tells me you got an idea, Watson."

"Ben, you and I need to make a quick stop at the Old Mansion. We'll meet you guys at Tilt Village." Takumi then ran out the door.

"Hey, wait up!" Ben hastily followed.

"What the heck is that kid up to now?" Date groaned.

"Takumi knows what he's doing." Yuuko replied. "Let's leave this to him."

"The rest of us should get going too." Biyomon said. "Who knows when Parasimon will strike. If it leaves Tilt Village before we can act, there goes our only lead." Everyone nodded.

"Alphamon, will you be coming along?" Ami asked.

"Of course."

"Okay, just…try not to let Parasimon grab you next."

"You think I can't protect myself?

"No, no, no, no, no! I'm just saying if it does somehow manage to possess you…then that's it, we're all doomed." Everyone gulped at the thought. Kyoko and Alphamon just laughed it off.

Tilt Village's residents were enjoying another peaceful day. Completely unaware of the threat hovering high above them. "Here it is, the last village of this puny region." Hudiemon laughed. She then looked at her hand. "I found this place sooner than I thought with this body. That little setback was a blessing in disguise. Now, what to do after I trash this dump? Hmmm…maybe I'll go terrorize another region. One that doesn't know about Digimon yet. Ha, ha, ha. I can just imagine the looks on the faces of those dumb humans. Well, first things first." A green light formed between Hudiemon's hands.

Everyone in the village saw the flash of green in the sky and looked up. "What the heck is that?" one of the villagers asked.

"Gia Element!" Hudiemon threw the orb towards them. The people screamed as they started to run. Just before it hit the ground, Rosemon swopped in and slashed it apart with her whip. "What?! You!"

"Thorn Whip!" Rosmeon extended her whip and tied Hudiemon up with it before slamming her to the ground. "Get her boys!"

Plusel, Minum, and Pachirisu jumped onto Hudiemon and zapped her. Even tied up she shook them all off, but then Vikemon came up and grabbed her with his massive hands, with only her head sticking out. Justimon, Diaboromon, Omnimon, MarineAngemon, TigerVespamon, Alphamon, Kerpymon, Hououmon, their Tamers and the Rangers surrounded her. "Ngh! Let me go! How did you know where to find me?!"

"It was kind of obvious." Lunick replied. "Now get out of Hudiemon's body!"

"Ha! And what are you going to do if I don't? This isn't even my body! Attacking it won't do me any harm!"

Rosemon paused. "I know that voice…"

Ami looked at her. "Rosemon?"

Ami's partner cringed. "You always were cruel…but I never thought you'd sink this low…Arukenimon!"

Everyone gapped. "Arukenimon?! That same Digimon that's been harassing people over and over?!" Ben asked.

"She must have Digivolved into a Parasimon." Yuuko replied.

"That's right." Hudiemon replied. "I have finally reached your level. Now, with this power I can surpass any of you!"

"Well, that's not entirely true now, is it?" Kyoko asked. "On your own you're really the weakest of Mega Level Digimon. Remember, the only reason you're so strong now, is because you've taken the body of Hudiemon."

"I'd also like to point out that Hudiemon is half human." Ami added. "You claim that humans are weak and that Digimon don't need them, yet you literally cling to one just to get what you want?"

"Shut your mouth! Infinity Dream!" Hudiemon's eyes glowed and everyone froze in place.

"Gah! Not again!" Kate groaned.

With Vikemon's grip weakened she burst free from his grip, breaking the Thorn Whip coiled around her in the process. Then she kicked Vikemon in the face and flew off. "She's making a break for it!" Chitose yelled.

Then she hit something and fell down. As she regained her balance she looked up. Something purple was blocking her. "What?!" She rammed into it with her shoulder, but it held firm. A purple bubble surrounded the village. And outside it was Mewtwo. Then two lines of webbing each ensnared one of her hands. "What the-? AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!" Hudeimon was pulled to the ground by two Ariados. One of them dragged her over and put her on it's back. "Hey, what are you dooooooooooooooiiiiingggg!" It started using the two bands on its back to spin her around and around while applying more web on her. When it stopped, Hudiemon was trapped in a thin cocoon. The other Ariados shot another web over her eyes so she couldn't use the Infinity Dream anymore.

Ben, Pichu, Takumi, and MegaGargomon arrived. "Sorry to keep you waiting!" Ben grinned.

"Nice going guys!" Summer smiled. "We got her now!"

Keisuke ran over. "Erika, can you hear me?! It's me, Keisuke!"

Hudiemon didn't reply as she angerly struggled in the web. Ryuji stepped forward. "Erika, you're being controlled by Parasimon, you have to fight it!"

"Come on, you're a smart girl, I know you can find your way out of there!" Chitose added.

"Wormmon, you're in there too, aren't you?!" Yu asked. "You're stronger than that monster! You're the vanguard! Don't let her win!"

Hudiemon kept grunting and her struggles slowed down. "Shut…up…!"

"Is it working?" Kate asked.

Keith shrugged. "Erika is so crude sometimes, it's hard to tell if that's her or Parasimon."

"Erika…I promised you I'd take you wherever you want to go!" Ryuji said. "Whether that's EDEN, home, the Digital World or anywhere else!"

"We're a team!" Yu added. "We're always ready to stand up for you!" Hudiemon winced as she was not only struggling to get out of a cocoon, but fighting a mental battle as well.

Erika stood alone in a place pitch black. He eyes remained closed. "Yu…Chitose…Ryuji…Keisuke…"

"Erika!" Wormmon stood in front of her. "Come on! Wake up! We can't let this thing use our power! Help me fight it!"

"No!" Parasimon appeared in front of them. It shot tentacles that wound around Wrommon and coiled around Erika's limbs and torso, hoisting them both up. Erika was still unmoving with her eyes closed while Wormmon screamed and squirmed. "You are mine! I won't let these sappy emotions of yours get in my way!"

"AAAAGH!" Hudiemon's eyes glowed pink.

"Oh, that can't be good." Matayoshi murmured.

"Keisuke! Guys! Get back!" Takumi yelled.

"RAAAAAAH!" Hudiemon unleashed a powerful explosion that ripped the cocoon tying her apart and flung everyone close by. She slowly stood up panting. "You miserable worthless humans!" She held her hand towards the members of Hudie who were on the ground.

"Erika…" Keisuke sat up and looked at her with a pained, sad expression. And that's when Hudiemon froze up.

Erika gasped as she finally opened her eyes. "Keisuke!"

"Be quiet!" Parasimon wrapped one more tentacle around Erika's neck making her gasp.

Erika started to tear up. "Keisuke…help…"

"Help…me…" Tears came from Hudiemon's eyes as her glowing palm was still pointed towards Keisuke. Parasimon's spider like legs appeared from her back.

"Parasimon's hold on her is weakening!" Kellyn said.

"Keisuke, go!" Yu yelled.

"Please…save Erika!" Ryuji said.

Keisuke ran straight towards Hudiemon and wrapped him arms around her. "Erika, I'm here! So, come back to us! There's still so much we can see! More for us to do! All of us, together!"

"No, no, no, no!" Parasimon shouted as her tentacles slowly uncoiled around Wrommon and Erika. A bright light formed behind her as she was slowly pulled towards it.

Erika grunted as she pulled them tentacles off her body completely one by one. "Get…out! I won't let you sever us apart!" She then gave Parasimon a shove.

"NOOOOOOOOOOOO!" The Digimon screamed as she fell towards the light.

Hudiemon glowed blue and in a flash, Erika dropped to her knees, with Keisuke still holding onto her, Wormmon dropped to the ground and Parasimon was sent flying. "Aridos!" Ben's friend Pokemon shot blobs of web, sticking Parasimon's feet to the ground.

Erika rested her head against Keisuke's chest. "I'm sorry…I'm so sorry…"

"Don't worry Erika." Keisuke smiled. "It's over now."

"Erika!" Ryuji, Chitose and Yu ran over.

"It worked!" Nokia cheered.

"Erika…" Ryuji hugged his sister. "Don't scare me like that."

"Sorry." Erika whipped her eyes.

"I'm just glad you're safe…"

Yu kneeled to Wormmon. "How are you holding up?"

"I'm fine, I'm the vanguard! And thanks for cheering me on."

"Keisuke…everyone…thank you." Erika lifted her head up. "But wait…Tell me something Keith."

The red-headed Ranger perked up. "Huh?"

Erika glared at him. "What was that about me being as crude as Parasimon?"

Keith shuddered. "Uuuuuuuuuuh…"

Parasimon then fired a green blast at Keisuke. "Keisuke look out!" Arata yelled.

The shocked teen looked towards the attack as it got closer and closer. "Hyper Cannon!" Then a golden ray intercepted the attack.

"What was that?!" Date gasped.

Everyone turned to see Tankmon. "Whew. Got here in the nick of time."

"Tankmon?!" Takumi, Ami, MegaGargomon, Rosemon, Ben and Summer jumped.

"We heard all that noise from the cliffside. Came here as fast as we could."

Diaboromon raised a eyebrow. "We"?" Parsimon grunted as she ripped free from Ariados' web and charged towards Hudie.

Another Digimon jumped up from behind Tankmon and shot glowing fists. "The King of Fists!" They blasted Parasimon stopping her in place.

Kate gapped. "GrapLeomon!"

Parasimon shot another blast, but Taprimon appeared in front of Erika and blocked it with a magic barrier. When she shot a bigger one, CatchMamemon, Digmon, and Kenkimon all picked up, the members of Hudie along with Taprimon and carried them out of the way. Parasimon growled as she eyed a new target. She lashed her tentacles out at Rosmeon, binding her. "Electric Bind!"

Ami, saw her Digimon scream as she was zapped and Parasimon pounce towards her, ready to claim a new vessel. "Rosemon, no!"

"Seven's Fantasia!" From above Rosemon, Lotosmon shot a rainbow beam that knocked Parasimon back.

"Crystal Cloud!" Another magic attack pelted her back further.

Kellyn looked behind them. "Lotosmon and Socerimon too?!"

"Striking Fish!" A harpoon flew into the tentacle severing in, allowing Rosemon to break free. Divermon had joined in.

When Parasimon stood it, she growled. "Destruction!" She shot a purple pellet at Ami.

"Mirror Reflection!" Etemon jumped in front of Ami and pushed the attack back.

Parasimon screamed as her own attack hit her. Just then Angemon and Devimon appeared from above. "Heaven's Knuckle!"

"Death Claw!" They hit Parasimon from a distance, knocking it back.

"Cherry Bomb!" Cherries that exploded upon contact hit her in the back. That's when the team noticed Cherrymon.

Finally, the other Royal Knights came down, surrounding Parasimon. She groaned as she tried to get up only for something to push her back down. Mewtwo descended behind her. His shield was gone, and he held his hand towards her, pushing her down with his power. Takumi, Ami, and Keisuke looked at all the Digimon that showed up to help. "You guys…what are you all doing here?!" Keisuke asked.

"Divermon, Devimon, and I got the story from Lotosmon, Angemon, and Socerimon." Etemon said. "Though we could help you save your friend and hurried to that base of yours. Then that old guy told us what you were up to and we all hurried over."

"Hmph! Don't get the wrong idea." Devimon snarked. "I just tagged along looking for fun."

"I heard the racket from the forest and came running." Cherrymon said.

"Kenkimon, and I were walking around on a break when Nema called." Digmon said. "She asked us to help you out. One the way, we ran into Taprimon who was looking for Lotosmon for a while and he came with us."

"And Alphamon contacted us, so we could help restrain her if Parasimon took control of her." Magnamon added.

Ami looked at the leader of the Knights. "You actually were worried about that?"

"I wanted to take all risks into account, even the unlikely ones. After all I wouldn't be able to bare harming any of you because of my arrogance."

"Alphamon…"

Parasimon groaned. "Let…me go…! I need…to…find a new vessel!"

"So, you can terrorize more people?" Ben glared. "Forget it! This ends now!"

Takumi turned to Kyoko. "Can we lock her up like we did Harpymon?"

"That won't be required, Watson." Alphamon replied.

"What do you mean?"

"You don't…understand…" Everyone turned to Parasimon as her voice cracked. "I…must have a host body! I must! Or I'l…I'll…"

"Guys?" Yu shuddered. "Why is Parasimon glowing blue?"

Everyone stared as blue specks came out of the Digimon. "What's happening to her?!" Yuuko asked. "It can't be…is she…?!"

"But how?" GapLeomon asked. "I didn't think any of us hit her that hard."

"This is inevitable." Alphamon said. "Without a host body, Parasimon has a very short lifespan. That's part of why they're endangered."

Everyone fell into shock. "What?!" Summer asked. "Parasimon is…dying?!"

"Isn't there something we can do?" Keisuke asked. Alphamon shook her head.

Parasimon whimpered. "This isn't fair…You humans did this to me! I hatted you so much that I wanted to get stronger than anyone! After all those failures to beat you, I got so angry I became this hideous thing! This is all your fault!"

"Oh really?" Kentarousmon asked. "Did they tell you to hate them? Or was it your decision to do so?"

"Power obtained from pure hatred isn't true power at all." Gallantmon added.

UlforceVeedramon nodded. "You sealed your fate when you chose this path."

"Why do you hate humans so much anyway?" Jesmon asked. "What did they ever do to you?"

Parasimon hissed. "Every night I would have the same dream. Monsters destroying our home world."

"Monsters?" Keith asked.

"They were not Digimon, I could tell that much. Those white and black freaks devoured our land and many Digimon…including my friends."

Yuugo's eyes widened. "White and black…"

"I would wake up screaming. Trying to make sense of what I saw. Was it really just a dream? Or a sign? Then I met a Digimon named Matadormon."

Keisuke gasped. "Matadormon?!"

"He said to me "Those dreams of yours are about something that did happen but was forgotten. And the ones to blame are the ones who created those monsters…the humans"." Nobody knew what to say to that. "He also told me about humans that see us Digimon as tools. How can all of you trust a selfish race like that?!"

Takumi and his friends averted their gaze. "What you saw was just one side of that race." Cherrymon said. "Honestly, I can relate to that prejudice. Most Digimon are weary of me because of the things most Cherrymon do. And while I can't deny there are bad humans in this world…that doesn't make all of them evil. Such as the ones little Palmon and Terriermon befriended."

"I used to be suspicious of humans myself." Divermon nodded. "But then I met these people. And I learned how nice some humans can be."

Kenkimon nodded. "Me and Digmon too. The first humans we meet were the ones on those flying things shooting at us. But the next ones we met were nicer. Right pal?"

"That's right." Digmon replied.

Socerimon closed his eyes. "I have met my share of foolish humans. But we Digimon are not without flaws ourselves. But if both parties try to come to an understanding, I believe we can get along."

"Yes, agreed." Tapirmon added. "And those that do wrong others can change their ways. Just as we can Digivolve, they can change."

"Eh, they aren't all bad I guess." Devimon shrugged. "I mean I can still mess with them just as I do other Digimon and have fun, so what's the difference? Humans? Digimon? I couldn't care less for differences between them."

Angemon glared at him. "Devimon's obnoxious comments aside, I too don't see a point in comparing our differences. After all, there are also many similarities between them and us. Such as the ability to make and correct mistakes we make."

"Because of humans I was able to make a very fun game where not just them but Pokemon and Digimon had a lot of fun with too." CatchMamemon said. "I'm happy I met them."

Lotosmon stepped forward. "I have seen what lies in the hearts of many humans while I was here. I felt all sorts of desires. And yes, some may be selfish, but I also saw pure hearts that I felt I could trust."

Etemon nodded. "Yup, yup. That's true enough. And a star like me needs to be responsible for showing 100% effort for all his loyal fans. It don't make no difference to me if they're human or not."

Parasimon looked around her. "All of you…trust humans? How? I just don't…understand…" Her body slowly started to dissolve.

Rosmeon walked over and kneeled in front of her. "Parasimon…No, Dokunemon…You only took someone's words and some visions you had in accounted when judging humans. But all these Digimon decided to reach out to humans. And when they found one, they couldn't get along with they either tried meeting halfway or turning to a different human. Reaching out to others isn't an easy thing when you're unsure. I don't blame you. You were delt a bad hand in this cycle. But maybe now…you'll come back as someone good. Someone who can trust humans."

Parasimon was just a fading, teary eyeball now. "Me…? Get along with humans…? Ha…You always were funny." And with those last words she became blue dust that flew over to Ami's Digivice.

Ami looked at her hand sadly. Everyone was solon. "Goodbye Dokunemon. I hope when you reincarnate, you'll find a human you can trust…"

Yuugo concluded the story. "Like the other destroyed Digimon, Alphamon took Dokunemon's data with the other Digimon back to the Digital World."

"How sad." Rei sighed. "If it never met that Matadormon, it wouldn't have ended up like that."

Satoru looked down. "Indeed. I'm sorry you two had to bear witness to that."

Yuuko shook her head. "Don't worry father. I learned a long time ago that you can either stew around and regret the past, or you can use it to become stronger. I'll remember what happened to her. So, I can make sure it doesn't happen again."

Yuugo smiled at his sister before turning to his father. "That's right. We'll make EDEN a world for humans and Digimon to share."

Rei smiled. "If anyone can do it, I'd say it's you and your friends."

Satoru nodded. "Yes. A place where nobody has to be alone. I place where we can reach out to others. That is my greatest wish."

In the Digital World, Cherrymon was laughing as he read something. "Ah, those rascals."

A Motimon hobbled over. "What's so funny?"

"Ah, I was just reading a story from Terriemron and Palmon regarding those human partners of theirs."

"Oh! The Cyber Sleuths, right?! They're like a legend here!"

"Yes, they are."

"Palmon and Terriermon are lucky to have human partners like that…"

Cherrymon smiled and picked Motimon up. "You know little Motimon…Terriermon tells me he and his friends are working on bringing more Digimon to the other world. Maybe someday you can go there and meet your own human partner."

"Really?! Yay!"

Cherrymon laughed as the little Digimon did a happy dance. He then looked up in the sky. "Everyone…let's work hard to ensure that this little one's new life is happier than it's last. And give a happy future for all humans and Digimon who wish to be together."

This concludes the little story I wanted to have with Dokunemon. In any case, one last Quest and one last Mission and we will be done with this arc.
