Ellie Bishop: Glad to hear it. The Rami trilogy is one of the best trilogies ever made and anyone saying otherwise can suck it. No kidding on Ross. Yep. Bucky lost only because he was so caught off guard at seeing Walker dressed like Steve. Had he a few minutes to process that, the fight would have ended very differently. Yeah, poor Sam and Bucky. While I don't think Walker is a bad person, I don't think he's fit to be Captain America.
Guest: No, I'm not.
The Solider was in a Helicarrier, fighting Steve Rogers as it fell apart.
"I'm not gonna fight you", Steve said as he dropped his shield, which fell through a hole. "You're my friend."
With a snarl of rage, The Soldier rushed Steve, grabbing him around the middle and slamming him onto the floor.
"You're my mission," The Soldier snarled before striking Steve with his robotic arm. "You're. My. Mission!"
"Then finish it," Steve said as Bucky paused in his assault. "Because I'm you 'til the end of the line."
In another world, this reached Bucky's subconscious, allowing him to begin the process of reclaiming his identity. But instead, the Soldier grabbed Steve's neck with his robotic arm and squeezed until a sickening crack signaled the moment Steve's neck snapped. The Soldier stonily watched as the life left Steve's eyes.
"No!" Bucky exclaimed as he woke up.
"Bucky, you alright?"
It took a moment for Bucky to remember where he was. He was on a Quinjet, headed for Russia. Sam, who had just spoken, was in the pilot seat while Sharon occupied the copilot chair. Bucky was in the back and at some point, he'd obviously fallen asleep.
"Fine," Bucky said gruffly.
"Your definition of fine obviously differs from mine," Sharon noted dryly.
"How far out are we?" Bucky asked, pointedly ignoring Sharon's comment.
"Not long now. We should reach Russia in about ten minutes," Sam told him.
"Okay. And then what's the plan?" Bucky inquired.
"Well, considering what happened in Austria, I think the Flag Smasher's intend to target Anatoly Rasputin, Russia's UN representative. He doesn't have any children, but he does have a niece and nephew," Sharon explained. "A contact is keeping watch over their house, we're gonna head over there as soon as we land."
"Who is this contact of yours?" Sam asked.
"Why ruin the surprise?" Sharon asked with a grin.
"She's kind of awful now," Bucky deadpanned and Sharon only laughed in response.

In the training room, Dawn was holding a sword, swinging it in order to get a feel for it before Spike rushed her. She sidestepped him, attempting to strike him but Spike easily dodged her strike before grabbing her sword by the blade, stopping it.
"That's good, but you need more than speed to win," Spike said as he released the blade. "Any demon or vampire who's had a little experience will see that strike coming a mile away. You need to mix it up, throw something at them they won't expect."
"Okay, mix it up, got it," Dawn said with a nod.
"Now, let's go again," Spike ordered.
On the observation deck, Angel, Willow and Faith watched as the two trained silently.
"Kind of surprised you let Spike train her. I thought you or Faith would be the ones doing it," Angel admitted as he looked over at Willow.
"I did have Faith do it at first. She did her job too well," Willow said, to Angel's confusion.
"Little D fights too much like a Slayer. But she's not a Slayer, that might get her killed. So we asked Spike to take over," Faith explained and Angel nodded in understanding.
"Well, if there's one thing Spike is good at, it's fighting," Angel said and it was silent between them for a few moments. "I want you two to come with me."
"Let me guess, it's about our search for the stones?" Faith asked knowingly and Angel nodded.
"Like Willow said, whatever it takes," Angel said simply.
Later, Angel led Willow and Faith down a hall and into a room. Opening the door, he gestured them inside.
Willow walked in, seeing it was an office. A desk was in the center of the room, two book shelves on either wall. At first glance, they seemed to be ordinary books. But, as Willow inspected them, she realized they were books on magic.
"Angel, what is this?" Willow asked.
"Your new office," Angel and she looked at him startled. "I'm making you my head of the Mystic Department."
"…am I being punked?" Willow asked and Angel smiled tightly.
"As head of the department, you have access to unlimited resources, including the mystics' records on the Infinity Stones," Angel explained. "You said you were willing to do whatever it takes Willow. This is what whatever it takes looks like."
Uneasily, Willow walked to her desk, where it had a name plate with the words 'Willow Rosenberg: head of Mystic Department' etched into it.
"Okay. But this is only until we can get the stones and get everyone back," Willow warned and Angel nodded his agreement.
"Faith, I want you to take Wesley's old job," Angel said as he turned to the stunned Slayer. "As head of Research and Intelligence, you'll have access to all records Wolfram and Hart has on the Stones."
"Can't really picture myself as a cooperate stooge," Faith said dryly.
"It's a means to an end, that's all. That said; you do have a meeting in ten minutes. You remember the way to Wesley's office?" Angel asked and she glared at him.
"Fine, but I want a raise," Faith grumbled as she walked out.
Ten minutes later, Faith sat at Wesley's old desk, facing a couple as they explained their situation.
"We didn't know where else to go," the husband said. "Our son was getting the mail."
"We could see him from the living room," the wife said. "He was walking across the driveway. And then this van…"
"It must have been going fifty, sixty miles an hour. It hoped a curve and ran right into him," the husband said. "It slammed him right into the side of the garage and then sped right off."
"I'm sorry," Faith said gently, sympathy for them shooting through her. "So, do you think someone intentionally killed your son?"
"You don't understand," the husband said.
"Our son's not dead," the wife said, surprising Faith.
"He's not?"
"No, he's fine. The van hit him and he got right up," the husband explained.
"He doesn't have a scratch on him," the wife added.
"The police said it was dumb luck but if you saw it…" the husband trailed off.
"An officer called us later, said our son might be different," the wife said as Faith picked up a phone.
"They mentioned there was a law firm in Los Angeles that dealt with things like this," the husband said as he saw Faith press a button.
"Hey, Fred? Could you tell Angel I need to see him? Thanks," Faith said before hanging up.
"Our son's downstairs, he thinks we're trying to set up a trust," the wife said,
"We didn't know what else to tell him," the husband said.
"Please, will you help us?" the wife pleaded.
"We'll do what we can," Faith said lamely, not wanting to tell them this was her first day.
Out in the hall, Angel was on his way towards Faith's office when the elevator opened up.
"Hey Dad!"
At the sound of the familiar voice calling out, Angel froze. Whirling around, he stared in shock at his son standing directly behind him.
"What? What are you…" Angel stammered in shock.
"Dad?" Conner called out, looking passed Angel.
"Yeah, come here," an older man said, gesturing Conner towards Faith's office as he, an older woman and Faith emerged in the doorway.
"You know they have dried scorpions in the vending machines downstairs?" Conner said as he walked passed Angel and over to the couple.
"Angel, this is Laurence and Colleen Reilly. They're here about their son," Faith said, gesturing to Conner.
"HI. I'm Conner," Conner introduced himself casually, holding a hand out to Angel, who shook it, still in a state of shock.
"They'd like our help in dealing with Conner's-"
"No," Angel cut Faith off, taking her back.
"Angel," Faith said surprised.
"I'm sorry, there must be some mistake. We can't help you," Angel apologized before turning and walking away, leaving a confused Faith and two dismayed parents.

Dressed in civilian clothes, Sam, Bucky and Sharon entered a café of some kind. After scanning the room, Sharon saw someone with a hood drawn over their head sitting at a table for four.
"There," Sharon said, pointing at the table.
Sam and Bucky exchanged a glance behind her before following her. As they near the table, the man sitting at it looked up and Sam and Bucky were shocked.
"Well, it's about damn time," Fury said.

"I don't get it Angel," Faith said as she stood in Nagel's office, talking to him. "First you say I have a meeting, now you don't want me to do my job."
"With everything going on, we don't have time to be dealing with small stuff like this," Angel said as he sat down at his desk and Faith stared at him incredulously.
"Okay, who are you? Because the guy I know would never call helping someone 'small stuff'. What's really going on Angel?" Faith demanded.
"What's going on is we need to find the Infinity Stones and bring everyone back. Now get out and go do just that. We have people depending on us," Angel snapped.

"It's good to see you sir," Sharon said as they all sat down at the table.
"You to Carter. Wilson, Barnes," Fury said in greeting. "But I don't think we're here to catch up."
"The Flag Smashers," Bucky said and Fury nodded.
"They got here late last night, right around the time I got your call," Fury said as he looked over at Sharon. "But now they're in the wind. And I think it's a safe bet that they plan to continue their MO, taking out the families of the people who put together the Accords."
"Where are we on Anatoly Rasputin?" Sam inquired.
"I have some agents watching him and his family, but nothing so far," Fury explained.
"I don't think Rasputin is their next target," Bucky said and they all looked at him.
"What makes you say that?" Sharon asked.
"Check out the barista over my shoulder, discreetly," Bucky ordered.
Looking his shoulder, they saw she was filling a cup of coffee.
"Yeah, so? What about her?" Sam asked.
"She's filled that same cup of coffee three times since we walked in. And she's not the only one. The guy at the table at the center left has been reading the same piece of newspaper for the last five minutes. And the woman a few tables down hasn't touched her drink since she got it," Bucky said quietly.
"It's a set up," Fury realized.
No sooner had they come to this conclusion than half the people in the café suddenly jumped to their feet, pulling out pistols and opening fire. However, before any of them could do anything, the four of them were surrounded by a red energy shield, which blocked the bullets. As the Flag Smashers stopped firing, suddenly they were all thrown across the room, hitting their heads and knocked out. As the group of four looked around in bewilderment, Sam spotted someone leaving through the back.
Without a word to anyone else, Sam jumped to his feet and ran after her. Running out the back, Sam turned his head and saw someone in a cloak walking down the alley.
"Stop!" Sam shouted and they paused. "I know it's you. Don't run. You don't have to run, okay? Just…just talk to me for a minute okay?"
The alley was silent before she turned around, lowering her hood so Sam could see her face.
"Hi Sam," Wanda said softly.
Yes, I'm doing Angel 5x18, but that'll probably be the last episode of Angel I do for this story, although I will include elements of other episodes later on.
I know not a whole lot happened in this chapter, but what did was important. Hope you all enjoyed it anyway.
