I don't own any of the Food Wars Characters, except Haru and any future new characters of course :P

Nakiri Mansion

Erina couldn't stop replaying what had happened. She couldn't remember anything past her eating Haru's dish. It reminded her of when she first tried Soma's dish, at the entrance exam.

Why is it that he's so comparable to Soma-kun? They look nothing alike, have completely different specialties, and seem to have different philosophies even! So why can't I get him out of my head?!

She couldn't figure him out, and it frustrated her.

Suddenly it clicked.

Wait a second. There's someone who can help me understand exactly who this man is, and she happens to be at this school…

Somewhere on Totsuki Campus

Haru was walking around, sight-seeing the campus, watching the bustling students as they moved around. Some gave him weird glances, considering they had never seen him before, that and the fact that he was wearing foreign clothes.

"Nothing's really changed around here, huh?"

He was about to turn back when he heard someone call out to him.

"Haru-nii!" The voice said in a rather upset tone.

Crap, I completely forgot she went to this school. I hoped to let her know about everything later on, but I'm cornered now.

He turned around to face a young girl with blue hair, similar to his own, in a single ponytail that draped down the side of her shoulder. He put on a grin and greeted her.

"Hey, Megumi-chan! How's it been sis?" He exclaimed with a hint of uncomfortableness.

"Don't 'Hey Megumi' me! What are you doing here? Why were you away for so long? Why did you beat Erina and take her position as headmaster? And what do you mean you can bring Soma-kun back to Totsuki?" She demanded with worry in her voice.

"Whoa there, sis, no malicious intent here, okay? Clearly I came here to see you! And yes, I can bring back this Soma guy back to the school. How exactly, I can't tell you. I mean, a magician never reveals his secrets. As for Erina, well she was practically asking for it."

Megumi narrowed her eyes at Haru in suspicion

Don't give me that look…

"Ahem, well, that's not important now, what's important is you! Imagine that, my little sister is part of the Elite 10! I'm so proud of you!" He said rather stoically, patting her on the head with a giant grin on his face.

Megumi, shorter than her older brother, could only sigh in response. She knew when Haru was lying. It was whenever he had that same grin that something was wrong.

"Still Haru-nii, why didn't you come and say hi first instead of challenging Erina to a Shokugeki?" She asked.

"Well, I did visit Polar Star, but everyone was asleep so I just went ahead with other things." He pointed out.

"I'm sure Fumio-san must have greeted you, she almost never sleeps." Megumi countered.

"That's true, but Fumio and I haven't been on the best of terms..." He said.

It was then that Megumi noticed Haru rubbing a spot on his arm. The last time he had been rubbing a spot like that was before he left for South America. Megumi didn't usually boast this, but she had an exceptional memory, and that memory was telling her that Haru was rubbing the same spot he did when he first left, meaning something was definitely up.

"There's still something you're not telling me." She said, a hint of frustration in her voice.

Haru's grin disappeared when he noticed she was looking at the spot he was rubbing with his hand. His arm was currently in pain but he was trying to hide it.

Damn, real subtle Haru. Megumi might be gullible sometimes but she's no pushover.

"I- Listen, Megumi-" He began.

"No. Enough, Haru. I don't know why you think you have to hide anything from me! We're siblings! That means I care about you just as much as you do about me! I can't believe my own brother won't trust me to let out what's bothering him!" She cried and ran away, leaving Haru dumbfounded.

"Well that sucked…" He grumbled after a while and began walking the other way.

Polar Star Dormitory

Erina was standing outside the door, trying to think about what to say.

She remembered the day of the Shokugeki, Megumi had said something interesting: Haru was her brother.

Although she couldn't quite make out what she said after that, she knew that Haru would have to be of exceptional skill if he truly was siblings with Tadokoro-san. Most people didn't know, but Erina held huge respect for Megumi as a chef and as a person; then again most people didn't know much about what Erina thought.

If Haru really is Megumi's brother, then that means he holds just as much skill as her, maybe even more, considering his age. He did beat me after all- WAIT! WHAT AM I SAYING? I JUST ADMITTED THIS JERK BEAT ME! UGH, FOCUS!

If Haru did indeed hold that much skill, there was a good chance he went to Totsuki when he was younger. That would mean there was a good chance he stayed at Polar Star during his time here, and that could only mean he was acquainted with Fumio-san.

That still left a question in Erina's mind. If he possessed such immense talent, why was he never mentioned anywhere throughout the school? She was sure she would've at least heard about him if he was as good as he claimed.

Erina looked up the front door again, now realizing it was much bigger than she had first made it out to be.

The last time she had been here was when Soma first left. She had been surprised at first, then quite angry, and finally- sad.

*knock* *knock*

Erina waited nervously, twiddling her thumbs. She was nearly startled by the sudden rattle of the doorknob, but quickly composed herself.

As the door opened, she expected to see Fumio, but instead she saw Megumi herself.

"Oh! Hello Nakiri-san!" She immediately bowed.

Erina couldn't help but giggle, Megumi was such a modest and polite person, no matter what situation she was in, that lended to why she was so amazing.

"It's quite alright, Tadokoro-san. We're friends, there's no need to act that way around me." She replied, smiling.

After letting Erina inside, along with some more bowing and insisting, Megumi finally sighed and relaxed a bit.

"So what brings you here, Erina-san?" She asked politely.

Erina shifted uncomfortably.

Uh oh. I can't let her know that I'm here to talk about her brother, that would be most embarrassing, for her more than me.

"Um- Erina? Are you okay?" Megumi's words snapped Erina back to reality.

"Oh! Uh- Yes, I'm quite alright, I simply had a question for Daimido-san." She replied.

Megumi still looked worried, and Erina couldn't hold back anymore.

"I apologize for the tension, it's just-, it's a sensitive topic." Erina said after a while.

"Well I'm sure you can talk to me about it, we are friends, aren't we?".

"Well that's the thing, it may be a sensitive topic, not for me, but for you." Erina said anxiously.

"Oh- Is this about my brother?"

Erina was taken aback, but she didn't want to deny Megumi an answer.

"Um- Yes, it is."

The glint in Megumi's warm eyes somewhat disappeared at this statement, nonetheless, she maintained her posture, and replied with a smile,

"Erina, you don't need to ask Fumio-san about this stuff, I'm right here, and I would be glad to tell you, okay?"

"I- Okay, thank you, Megumi."

"Okay well- what would you like to know about Haru?" Megumi began.

Erina's face turned serious, and she stared at Megumi with determination in her eyes.

"Everything."

Authors Note: Alright so a few changes. I got rid of the time stamps next to locations. At first I thought it would be a good idea to have them to sorta let you know when things happen and what takes place around that time. But this isn't some crime series where you need to figure that sort of stuff out, so that's gone. I've read some reviews on having Soma battle Haru in a Shokugeki, and to be honest I wasn't thinking about it before, but it's definitely on my mind now. Anyway that was Chapter 2, hope you enjoyed, and as always, I will see you in the next chapter!
