(Third Person Point of View)

Bucky patted Jack on the back and said, "Come on, we will show you the way."

Jack smiled and said to the Future Avengers, "Okay, I guess you two win."

Steve sighed softly and shook his head as though he was going to say something but chose not to.

Jack sensed this but knew better than to pry. He really did not want to be sleeping in the streets, though he guessed that he may not need much sleep anymore, not that Jack was complaining.

Bucky placed a hand on Steve's shoulder in a gesture of comfort but said nothing.

Little did Jack know that Steve's mother would die in 1936 from tuberculosis. But that was a couple of years away from now… or that is what should have happened.

Wrath mused to Jack in his mind, 'I wonder how much we can change… in this Universe.'

Jack said nothing though he was thoroughly confused by Wrath's statement, and Wrath did not elaborate on what he meant. So little did either of them know that a few things are Anchor Points in time that can't be changed or avoided.

The trio of people began the walk towards Hell's Kitchen. Jack rubbed his hands together in excitement. In a few decades, he might, he MIGHT meet Dare Devil. But, he wondered if the Heroes for Hire would exist in this world; Luke Cage, Danny Randle, Dare Devil, etc…

Bucky noticed Jack was rubbing his hands together and asked him, "You okay, Jack? Are you cold?"

Jack smiled and shook his head as he said, "No, not really, this is my first time in New York City. I am a bit excited."

Steve asked him with a chuckle, "Tourist?"

Jack sighed softly and said, looking down slightly, "No, not really… my brother died from Cancer… and he was all I had left. We used to live in Washington State, but everything there hurt. So I moved East to here, New York, New York."

Bucky nudged Steve in the shoulder.

Steve mouthed to him, 'I did not know!'

Steve said to Jack, "Sorry, Jack, I did not know that." Steve's voice was soft and nervous.

Jack waved him off and said, "You did not know and could not have known. It is not your fault, Steve."

Bucky asked Jack in a warm voice, "So what was your brother's name?"

"John Smith, that was my brother's name," Jack said with a small smile. He shook his head fondly, remembering his old life in near-perfect detail due to the Symbiote's Perfect Memory. Sure, John Smith might have always been in pain, but he died with his family around him. Moreover, he died young, only Twenty-Five Years Old. But he was given a second chance and a new name.

Steve gave Jack a nod and said, "I am sorry for your loss."

Jack shrugged his shoulders and said, "It was his time to go… I wish it wasn't, but there was nothing that anyone could do. We have to put the past behind us and live in the present."

Bucky nodded his head once and said, "True enough."

Jack smiled and then said to them, "Yeah." He looked to his right and saw Steve looking at him. He smirked and thought to himself, 'On your left.'

Steve blushed and quickly looked away.

The three of them made small talk until they made it to Captain America's home, where his mother and Steve lived, though Bucky might as well have lived there with them. It took about fifteen minutes to arrive at 569 Leaman Place in Brooklyn Heights. Jack was super excited to be seeing Captain America's home before it practically became a museum in this world's future and seeing it in person rather than in a movie or a comic book.

Steve walked straight into the house and took off his shoes as he got in.

Bucky did the same thing before gesturing towards Jack to come in with them.

Jack smiled and followed their example, though he was already bare foot, though he doubted that would have been a good idea if he did not have his Healing Factor. Jack smiled and shook his head for not the first time was really grateful for his Healing Factor and for his Symbiote.

Wratg spoke to Jack's mind and said to him, 'You are just now grateful for me? Maybe I should recede back into your body and leave you in your birthday suit.'

Jack mentally shook his head frantically and said in his mind to Wrath, 'No, no, no, I genuinely am grateful for you and my Healing Factor. I just have you for less than a day, so I am still getting used to you.'

Wrath huffed mentally and said to Jack, 'Fine, you better be grateful for me.'

Jack smiled and said to his partner in his mind, 'I truly am grateful and thankful for you, Wrath.'

Jack could feel Wrath's smirk and grin at that statement. He was brought back to reality when he heard Steve's voice saying, "This is my mother, Sarah Rogers."

Jack smiled and gave her a polite nod and said, "Pleasure to meet you, Ms. Roger."

Ms. Roger said to Jack, "Please, any friend of Steve may call me Sarah."

Jack smiled and then said, "If you insist, Sarah." Jack realized he was still wearing his Symbiotic Tuxedo. It was so comfy. It was like a second skin to him. Jack realized that it practically was a second skin.

For the next several minutes, Bucky, Jack, and Steve explained the situation to Steve's mother.

Sarah, for her part, took it all in stride and said, "Of course, you can live with Steve and me." For the first time, Jack noticed she had a pretty strong Irish Accent.

Jack knew the answer but had to ask it anyway, "So, where is Mr. Rogers at?"

Jack could feel everyone tense up after he said that. Then he sighed softly and said softly, "Sorry… let me guess, he died during The Great War."

Sarah sighed softly and nodded her head but said nothing.

Steve looked down and then looked up and said to them said, "I want to be just like him, my father. I want to serve and protect this great nation. One day."

Jack smirked and said, "God be willing, you will, Steve Rogers."
