Well, this turned out to be a lot more popular than I thought it would be.

Thank you to everyone who has; followed, favorited me and this story, and for everybody who has left a review or a Private Message.

Thank you, " Ashley Volturi-Whitlock" for your review as well; Glad that you thought the last chapter was great. I plan on spending some time in the 1930s and 1940s, though Steve's mother and Bucky are all the family that Steve has in the comics... though, with Jack there, things might change a bit more.

(Third Person Point of View)

Steve looked up and said, "I want to be just like him, my father. I want to serve and protect this great nation. One day."

Jack smirked and said, "God be willing, you will, Steve Rogers."

Bucky asked Jack, "What's so funny?"

Jack's smirk turned to a grin as he said to them, "I believe in Miracles, Angels, and The One Above All, God. If Steve is meant to serve in the Army, then he will. God be willing."

Sarah smiled and said kindly, "You are not the only one…"

Jack knew that before World War Two that over sixty percent (60%) of the United States of America was Christian, and the number would only grow until the 1970s and keep going down until the present day.

He smiled and said softly, "I once saw an Angel…"

Bucky rolled his eyes and said, "Sure you did, Jack."

Jack shrugged his shoulders and said, "You can believe what you want to believe."

Sarah said with a small smile, "Behave you two."

Jack smiled and said, "Yes, Ma'am."

Bucky chuckled softly and said, "Okay, Sarah, I will try to get along with Jack."

She smiled and nodded her head as she said, "Good, now wash up you three, dinner is about ready." Sarah turned to Jack and said, "I hope you like Corned Beef and Cabbage."

Jack smiled and said to her, "Thank you, Sarah, but I have not tried that dish before. Though I am not a picky eater, not that most people can afford to be."

Sarah smiled and said to Jack, "Okay, I hope that you enjoy it."

Jack nodded his head once, then said to her, "Thank you for taking me in… I really appreciate it."

She smiled and said, "No problem, Honey, now go wash up."

Jack nodded his head as he said, "Sure thing." He slipped out of the room towards the wash room, where he could smell the scent of soap. He followed his nose until he could hear Bucky's and Steve's voices, but he tried to ignore it since it was none of his business.

Bucky's voice said, "I think Jack is missing a few screws."

Steve replied, "I think that he is nice and honest."

Jack heard it. He scoffed in his head and thought to Wrath, 'Maybe we can make Bucky an amputee now instead of later.'

Wrath grinned and asked Jack mentally, 'Really?! Hmm, he does smell like a tasty meal… but I regress. We can't kill him now or cripple him.'

Jack huffed and muttered to both himself and to Wrath, "Fine."

Bucky asked Jack, "You okay? You spaced out for a few seconds-"

Jack nodded his head and said, "I am fine, thank you for asking… I was just lost in my thoughts… I miss my brother."

Steve placed a skinny hand on Jack's shoulder and said to him, "I miss my dad too… but they would want us to move on and live our lives to the fullest."

Jack arched an eyebrow and then said to Steve, "Since when did you become a Motivational Speaker?"

Bucky asked, "What is that?"

Jack said calmly, "Someone like a pastor who gives inspirational speeches."

Bucky nodded his head once, but there was still some doubt in his eyes.

Wrath spoke in Jack's mind, 'You need to be far more careful. That is if you do not want to attract unwanted attention.'

Jack mentally rolled his eyes but did not do anything outwardly. Instead, Jack looked around the table, saw Sarah and Steve Rogers, and saw James Buchanan Barnes. However, friends call him 'Bucky'.

Jack said to the small group, "Thank you for having me, especially on such short notice."

Sarah smiled and said to him, "Take it easy, sonny. You are welcome at this dinner table. Most people would have either ignored the fight or would have joined in. Instead, you chose to help my baby boy."

Steve blushed lightly, and Jack smirked as he asked, "So is Steve, a mama's boy?"

Sarah chuckled softly and said, "We are all we have. Yes, he is a mama's boy."

Jack said softly, "I was too until my parents passed away." He looked down at the table. He sighed but said nothing, unable to come up with an answer that would be good enough.

Steve placed a hand on Jack's shoulder and said, "I know your pain."

Even Bucky had a look of empathy in his eyes.

Jack sighed softly and nodded his head once as he said, "Thank you… all of you."

Eventually, the food was served, and everybody ate their fill until they were full.

Jack stood up and helped Sarah clean the dishes while Bucky and Steve sat down near the Radio as they listened to the news.

Jack could have listened in if he wanted to, but he had an idea of what would happen due to being from the future, well, a future.

So instead, Jack and Sarah made small talk as they did the dishes together, by hand, since dishwashers were yet to be made for the common folk. The first dishwasher was made in the 1880s-1890s, but Jack could not exactly remember when it was first invented.

After a short amount of time both, Jack and Sarah came into the main room where Bucky and Steve were still sitting on the couch, listening to the Radio.

Jack stood behind the couch as he heard the Radio say, "That is all the news for tonight."

Bucky stood up, walked to the Radio, and turned the Radio off.

Steve yawned and stretched his rather scrawny body as he said to his mother, "Good night Ma, see ya in the mornin'."

Bucky ruffled Steve's hair with his left hand and said, "Get some sleep, bud. You need it."

Steve said to Bucky, "You going to bed too?"

Bucky nodded his head once and said, "Yeah."

Steve got up and went to his room to get changed into his pajamas.
