Minutes before the the news helicopter caught up.
Inside a slowly exiting sports car within an underground parking lot of a certain bank, two masked individuals conversed.
"Man, feels weird that I was just on the recieving side of your sword 3 months ago. Also, doesn't it get chipped when you dig?" Says the one sat at the driver's seat.
"I wouldn't use this sword if it couldn't do that much. And does it really feel strange?" The other replied.
"Yep, we went from Iberia to Victoria, did some practice runs in Kazimierz, and now here we are, Ursus! Doing a multi-million hiest! This is most action I've got my whole life!"
"Is that so?"
"That is so." The driver nodded.
"Are you... enjoying this?"
"Can't say I don't. Are you?"
"Well... it's better than fighting at least. It's pretty easy."
"Hah, of course you'd say that... Anyway..." The driver took a deep breath then his head hit the steering wheel, hitting it with a thump while denting his mask. "Fuck, I'm nervous."
"You are?!" The passenger said with a slightly louder voice than usual along with a tilt of her head.
"Why do you sound surprised?!"
"You seemed so stoic when you fought me and- "
"No" He firmly says, "and please let me nip that in the bud, lady. I was not nervous back then. I was fucking terrified. I'd probably had gone insane if I relaxed my jaw even a little. I think I even pissed myself!" He screams like a dying cat, making a mess of his already damaged mask with his palms rubbing his face. "Though I really cant tell because that place was full of water." He back tracked.
"Oh?"
"Now why do you sound dissapointed?!"
The distict sound of heavy tracks and wheels sounded above. The man on the steering wheel straightened up. "Use the seatbelt, just in case this car doesn't work as advertised."
"Mhm." With that, the car made it's final turn before the light of the sun above reached the vehicle.
"Hoooo~ Boy, that's a lot of barrels." The vehicle faced a very generous welcome from the city's very own army. Futuristic looking tanks, rpgs, rifles, and staves were at the ready. "With that firepower, you'd think we just stole hundreds of millions from a national bank or something." He looked at his partner almost innocently.
The passenger glanced and stared at the driver, to which he promptly averted his gaze from.
"... I'm writing that on your grave."
"Please don't."
Suddenly, the screech of a megaphone turning on broke the awkward stare off. There was a chorus of shouts, groans and whimpers.
"Dang, that's loud... Mind if I take a listen to them? I've watched standoffs from movies and they were awesome."
"I don't."
After whoever it was got their composure back, a stream of babble flowed into everyone's ears.
"-And thus, by Ursus Military law, if you surrender right now, we will be generous and be just, your sentences will be shortened to a mere 500 years. And if you resist and don't surrender, you will be subjected to lethal force until you are captured. Be warned as you may be killed. And if you are caught-"
"He just keeps on going, how many minutes has it been?"
"7, at least he's enthusiastic."
The driver sighs, toots the horn ending the seemingly endless tirade then shouts loudly and clearly, "Orca, I'm gonna drive us through that building over there, could ya make a way for us, pretty please." The military tensed.
"K'." The masked woman walked out of the vehicle, pulled a massive sword out of the car then strung it behind her back. The military seemed to relax as there was no way someone as lanky looking as this woman surely wouldn't be able to swing the blade she carried, much more use it and cut through a concrete building. They tensed up however when she climbed up the car's roof.
"Stop right there criminal scum! Not one step! Or we will be forced to fire! Lay down your weapon!"
The woman's seemed to roll her obsucred eyes, before the an engine roared disproportionate to the car it seemed to belonged to. The rockets were the first to fire, then the arts, but both were either redirected or absorbed by a the car itself. Bullets came next, but most pinged off harmlessly, the ones aimed at the woman effortlessly blocked or dodged by the barest minimum of movements, almost resembling a dance. The surrounding area got shredded, burnt or exploded by the onslaught, eventually causing the front of bank behind the robbers to callapse. Dust and smoke clouded the area. It took a few more seconds, but the officers eventually stopped. Nothing short of the royal guard, would survive that. This was the URsus' heavy paw. That is what each of them thought
It was then that the sound of squealing tires and crushed concrete resounded. The car, speeding like a train, shot through the upheaved dust and was on a collision course with a building in front of it the army didn't bother stationing men on. With a single seemingly explosive swipe from the woman on top of the car, the building now had a large hole running through it. And a second later, the car dissapeared through another cloud of smoke. After recuperating, the army gave chase.
"Hohohohohooooly crap, we lived that?" A man with bloodshot eyes finally lifted his head off the steering wheel. "Skadi?" Suddenly, the sharp end of her sword was sticking right behind his head. "Uhh..." With hesitance, he returns his gaze to the road. The blade continued to open the top of the car like a can. Eventually when the roof was left behind clanging into the street, his companion dropped down to sit beside him on the front seat.
"What? My hat would get blown off if I went through the window."
"You could've just asked me to stop..."
"Oh..."
