Jesus chapter 30 and im still going. Im so sorry.

Hope you enjoy!

Hey, how'd the vulcan mind thing go? Unless you're still on planet and i'm interrupting because if so ill shut up.

Fuck i should have just left it shes probably in no mood to speak to me, should have let her come to me. but then again she probably wouldn't have, not with the amnesia. Gotta at least show her i'm trying here.

Hey, it went pretty well, got the dirtiest look off the healer through which I found pretty funny. It's not considered satire to have two mind links at the same time, but hey ho. Couldn't be bothered explaining why i had two just wanted to get back on the ship.

Hobgoblins do have a tendency to act all high and mighty about most things so that doesn't surprise me, still damn rude to assume though. Anyhow, even if they are judgy i wouldn't worry too much about tomorrow, they're entirely reliant on logic and there's nothing logical about that bastard in the brig.

-LHM

###

Yea that's true i guess, i'm more worried incase they decide what he was doing up until that point was logical, somehow. And not to mention how ive brought shame to Torin and his family, Vulcans unfortunately still don't really see humans as equals so they're going to struggle to wrap their heads around why we dated in the first place.

-ADR

###

You haven't brought shame to anyone Alex, least of all the man that dated you. I know vulcans can be un seeing assholes but i have faith they'll see that horrible bastard for what he is, and believe me. I know for a fact Jim won't rest until that monster is behind bars.

-LHM

###

Thanks Leonard, you've actually managed to stop my silent freak out haha, i'll be back in med bay in about 2 hours, no hitting your head while unsupervised. X

Yes ma'am.

Alex sighed rubbing the bridge of her nose with her thumb and finger to try and release some of the tension she was feeling so to avoid getting a migraine. She couldn't tell if she needed to scream, talk to someone or just lie down. If she had the day off she'd have definitely chosen the lie down option but she knew if she didn't keep herself busy shed just be stuck with her thoughts and unable to sleep anyway.

Instead she chose an option that brought a little bit of warmth back to her. Now obviously she didn't have the gifts on her person right now, the ones shed decided she was getting everyone at the start of this whole damn ordeal, but everything that could be ordered had been and arrangements had been made for other things due to some people owing her some favours so she walked with a little spring in her step as she headed to her room.

Picturing the little brown envelopes in her bedside table drawer as she walked, she wanted to give them a little distraction, a little mystery so she decided they were going to be delivered today. 4 brown envelopes each with their names on, followed by the words 'do not open till shore leave' all in print so they couldn't tie her to them through her handwriting. It was stupid how happy this small thing made her, it was some thing shed always liked, shed always loved getting people gifts, didnt matter if it was something hugely meaningful or just small things like their favorite snack or tickets to a movie they really wanted to see. She enjoyed giving, and she never expected anything in return, the best gift they could give her anyway was the smiles on their faces or the hugs she received as thanks. And she understood why most people would think it as a suspicious or see it as a stupid trait but she didn't care, sometimes people deserve to be thanked in little ways, sometimes they need that little lift even a simple giving of their favorite chocolate bar gave them, for no other reason than someone was at the store and had thought about them.

At the end of the day they were all doing their best to be there for her and to make her happy in their own ways and shed be damned if she didn't do anything for them in return. So here she was stalking the corridors and slipping envelopes under their doors while no one was looking before heading to engineering to ask scotty to wipe the camera feed for her so they'd never be able to see her doing it on the security footage.

"Right that's all sorted lass, cleanly done if I say so myself, if they notice that its been edited i'll be surprised, I mean theyre brilliant but it'll be difficult to spot. Though if Jim does order me to tell him if he thinks i know something i will have to spill the beans." Scotty chuckled closing down the programme as he leaned back in the chair in his office. "Gotta admit its weird seeing you out of uniform, nice dress like, you got a date with the doc later or something?" Scotty wiggled his eyebrows jokingly before frowning at the strained laugh that the redhead let out. "What's happened, if he's done somethin' lass i'll go up there and-"

Alex laughed properly then shaking her head as she sat down on the old worn leather armchair scotty had opposite his desk. "No no he hasn't done anything wrong, just be pretty awkward having a date with him at the moment since he went and hit his head when we first docked, he's got amnesia, doesnt remember the last 6 months." Alex said matter of factly trying not to laugh as Scotty's face drained of colour.

"You're pulling my leg… does he- does he at least know youse were an item or?"

"Yea yea he found that out like an hour or so after, it's all a bit confusing for him right now, just doing my best not to over crowd him, sleeping alone is fucking horrible after sharing a bed for months though." Alex let out a huge sigh as the scotsman nodded with downturned mouth.

"I can imagine, he'll bounce back eventually though, he's too stubborn to forget permanently lass, probably come back at the most random moment."

"Yea probably… Oh scotty i almost forgot i got you something, im sorry its a little radioactive but its not at dangerous levels for short periods of time and i got a little lead lined box for it anyway but here-" Alex pulled out a small square box from a pocket in the shaul and put it on his desk, the little white box was suspicious and Scotty looked at her through squinted eyes and then back down at the box.

"You know lass in kinda suspicious since you mentioned it being radioactive, plus-"

"Just open it man, it's important you have it."

Scotty pulled the small box over to him with caution pausing briefly before pushing the lid off with his thumbs. When the lid popped off all he could do was stare, his mouth hanging open as he pulled the delicate circle out of the box. He couldn't believe it, this little slither of metal with the letters and numbers carved into it still looked so pristine, it almost made him forget the rest of her was gone.

"ED9, engineering deck 9… yorktown council did their best to clean up what was left of the enterprise from the edge of the asteroid field, they try and re-use what they can on repairs of other ships and equipment but they dont like re using the elevator numbers for some reason, there were only 4 retrieved but I figured this one needed to go to you."

Scotty was still in shock as he held the small button in his palm, closing his hand around it he sucked in a shaky breath. "I- i don't know how to thank you lass, this is- i'-m gonna keep this safe. The old Silver Lady found her way back to me- ha. What a day… how'd you get your hands on it anyway?"

"My brothers an engineer aswell, when he heard about the flagship being destroyed he was gutted that he never got to see her in person so I pulled some strings and got the leftover elevator buttons, still have em cuz i havent seen him in a while but couldn't give him that one, not when you were the one working with her daily over the years." Alex gave Scotty a genuine smile as he sat gobsmacked in his chair. "Besides, it's also a thankyou, for all the favours you've done and coming to check how i was after I was abducted. Gotta make sure the people I like know they're appreciated and all that jazz, anyway, i gotta go try act normal around handsy mccoy, wish me luck!" Alex leaned on the desk giving Scotty a peck on the cheek before waving as she headed to the door.

"Handsy Mccoy? I reckon there's a story there like." Scotty chuckled as she stopped at the door and smirked at him rolling her eyes as she pulled the handle down. "Goodluck!" He half shouted as she pulled the door open and left.

"Hey i'm back, i still have 10 minutes before im due back so i'm having a cup of tea, want anything?" Alex chimed as she strolled into leonards office catching a brief glimpse of him going through data padds of their current stock sat behind his desk as she went over to the replicator.

"I think that's one of the most British things i've heard you say yet, what is it with the english and tea anyway? But nah i'm good, nothing for me thanks." Leonard waved her off as he squinted down at the data padds below him. Taking note of the fact she was now back in the uniform dress in the back of his mind.

"Suit yourself and hey it's not just an english thing, Spock drinks tea as well. Maybe I'm just more cultured than you, Mccoy." She wiggled her brows at him cheekily as she perched on the edge of his desk.

"More cultured than me my ass. You sip your tea, you're even sticking your pinky out that's adorable." Leonard drawled prodding her in the side playfully almost making her choke on her tea.

"I am not above spilling hot tea in your lap."

"Yea, yea."

"Don't test me, i'll do it."

"If you do can you like aim the spill more towards my knees, and lower thigh area i'm fine with being burned there, above that and I may try and choke you out while screaming."

"Pfft as if you could choke me out."

"I think I could, just need you to stay still long enough so i can get you in a headlock."

"If I spilled tea on you I would have ran long before you'd get a chance to do that, and then probably ran back in to apologize and with cold water to pour on you instead." Alex pulled a face then lifted her hands up in an innocent shrug.

"Thank god for that I was starting to think you were a complete monster for a second there." Leonard chuckled eyeing the redhead with a playful smirk as she laughed at him.

"I mean I can be when I want to be, i absolutely sent a page of that story I was telling you about between you and Jim to Jim earlier for example. He wasn't pleased at all." Alex stuttered as she started to crack up laughing seeing Leonard start chuckling with his head in his hands beside her.

"What did he say?"

"Something along the lines of 'in the language of your people you're a Cunt.'"

"Wow." Leonards eyes went wide as he started laughing harder at the idea of Jim being that wound up to use the c word.

"It's more funny that he thinks its a super offensive word, in all honesty most brits use it too often… sometimes as a term of endearment- don't ask me why I don't know why either but basically it's nowhere near as offensive as he thinks it is. Least of all to me. You'd think he hasn't ever heard scotty drunk before." Alex scoffed.

Leonard raised a brow at her. "You've seen scotty drunk?"

"Yeaaaa, though I can't remember most of the night, he's got a hell of a mouth on him i mean he's scottish, not surprising, same night i met you for the first time actually. Drunk as hell, blonde hair, leading chekov down the corridors, ring any bells?"

Leonards eyes went wide then, that was more than 6 months ago and it was definitely a night he hasn't forgotten about. But there was no way… "That was you?!"

"Oh yea, it was a wig by the way, was out with the nurses and they thought it'd encourage me to ya know- find a fella while I wasn't worried about people recognising me."

That's when leonard started laughing and he couldn't stop. Oh boy did he remember that night, almost every last detail and especially how cute she was despite her stubbornness. That damn note he had left for her on his bedside table aswell, and to think she didn't swear anywhere near the amount she did while she was drunk.

"Oh my god, what did i do please, i'm laughing but i'm also kinda terrified." Alex giggled nervously into the back of her hand.

"Are you sure you wanna know? And also-" Leonard couldn't continue as he started to wheeze. She may have been embarrassed as hell but she couldn't help grinning from ear to ear at just how wide his smile was while laughing, even if it was at her. "The fact that the guy was scotty- i cant- does he know cuz i'd love to watch him turn bright red if he doesn't, i thought he could handle his drink but apparently not." Leonard put his head in his hands as he continued to laugh.

"Oh my god, did I blab about the entire thing? Fuck im gunna end myself im such am aweful person." Alex put her hands over her mouth absolutely mortified as Leonard managed to calm himself down only letting out a chuckle every now and again with a shit eating smirk every time he looked up at her.

"I can tell you what happened if you want, from when I found you, and to be honest im not surprised you don't remember all of the night, you were absolutely- wasted. Surprised you weren't sick to be honest."

"I know im gunna regret this but sure, tell me, but did I embarrass myself?"

"Well- you'd probably think you did but i thought you were pretty funny. Plus i've dealt with and been in your position before . You either laugh about it or you cry."

"Well shit- go on, may aswell know what stupid shit i did."

"Alright, well-"

####

I knew i should have cut the tag off this damn shirt.

Leonard scratched at his side where the tags in the new long sleeved shirt he was wearing were irritating the hell outta his skin. Normally he hated shopping but hed saw it on display in a shop window earlier in the day and had to get it, he was getting low on long sleeved shirts, regretted wearing it out for drinks with Jim though. Not that he'd drank much, neither of them had been drunk when they'd called it a night. Hell it had ended up with them both back at Jims room talking about Jaylah, and other stupid shit, like how Spock tripped out of a lift one time and that was the reason Jim was walking around the ship laughing for an entire day a couple of weeks ago. He'd thought it was a comfortable top until half way through their night. But fuck did he want to take it off and attack it with scissors round about now.

Looking up as he rounded a corner he had to stop for a second to register just what he was seeing. Pavel, wearing boxers and a t shirt, a blonde woman, high heels, skin tight black leather pants sitting high on her waist, a cropped red tee that clung to her like a second skin it must have been stretched incredibly tight over her chest at the front or a size too small for her.

Pavel sleepwalking again... with a drunk woman, wait shes- is she trying to find his room?

Leonard jogged up behind them quietly, admittedly letting his eyes wander slightly as he silently appreciated her ass in those leather trousers, even her calves looked good not to mention her quads-

She's gotta hit the gym regularly to be in that kinda shape.

"Oi. Can i ask where the hell you're going with Pavel?" Leonard drawled as the three of them suddenly stopped in the middle of the corridor and the woman turned on her heels to face him.

A masquerade mask, this just keeps getting better.-

"Now listen here mate, i'm a doctor whos had a pretty- disappointing night, the person who brought me here turned into a patient and passed out and this kid is wandering the corridors. So can you please just get off my back and let me do my job. Like gimme a fucking break, yea im fucking drunk. And you- what's so funny?" She slurred as she ranted squinting up at him with a look that was between curious and livid and he just couldn't stop the smirk that settled on his face as he chuckled at her.

English, drunk, sarcastic, and annoyed. I've been there darlin'. Everything but the being english part.

"Walk with me, gunna take Pavel back to his room, what's your name?" He quirked a brow at her as he hooked his arm through Pavels, looking past the kid at the blonde holding the curly haired russians other arm. She frowned at him suspiciously before replying.

"Probably better that i don't say- incase i have to treat you in the future. My disguise is good enough but my name- that'd be giving the game away. Besides i don't know you, you could be anyone."

Leonard laughed quietly at her as they closed in on chekovs room. "Well my names Leonard, also a doctor so you don't gotta worry about having to treat me sweetheart. Sounds like you've had a hell of a night."

"Something like that, should have picked someone your level of drunk and not my level. Should have known something would go wrong i'm so outta practice with this shit."

Leonard smirked at her again glancing up at her stood in chekovs doorway as he put the smaller man back into bed. "My level of drunk, perceptive even while bladdered i'll give you that. Though im hardly drunk, barely even tipsy. And what you're out of practice with drinking?" He frowned slightly as he came to stand outside of chekovs room with her.

"Nah im good at drinking, out of practice with the whole mating ritual that is one night stands, like- maybe i should have tested his blood alcohol levels-" She started laughing along with him as he cracked up, leaning on the wall for a second as he shook his head at her. She was funny, he'd give her that.

"Where do you live, ill walk you home."

"I'm not telling you where I live, you're pretty but i still don't know you."

Leonard couldn't help but roll his eyes at her as he shook his head, folding his arms as he leaned against the wall watching as she mirrored him. Eyes glancing down for a split second as his brain awkwardly confirmed that her crop top was indeed pulled very tight across her chest, and the fact that she wasn't wearing a bra either. He couldn't help but notice it, it was hard not too.

Bet that guy is gunna wake up tomorrow kicking himself for passing out.

"Alright then c'mon, follow me, if you're gunna be stubborn." He waved her towards him as he turned on his heels heading back towards his room, slyly scratching at his side as he walked. "Also how are you disguised? other than that mask that you're still wearing."

She stalked after him then smirked as she matched his speed walking beside him. "Contacts, and i'm not a natural blonde, the rest of me is real though." She winked at him, slur nowhere near as bad but still very obviously drunk, he was surprised she was moving so gracefully in such high heels. One minute she was suspicious of him and the next she was shamelessly flirting with him, he already knew inviting her back to his was a bad idea but he wasn't about to argue with a drunk about why they needed to give him their address so that they could get home without falling in a gutter somewhere.

"Contacts and- why are you so set on people not knowing who you are?"

"Ugh because I already get so much unwanted attention while im at work, i just wanted to find a guy on my terms, I don't know- pretend to be someone else so i don't have to act a certain way. Also the main reason, I thought it'd be a laugh, some of the nurses I work with suggested it."

"Didn't want any of your previous patients hitting on you? You know you don't have to be nice to inconsiderate assholes right?" Leonard pulled the keycard for his room out of his pocket and scanned it waving her in ahead of him. She sighed pausing before walking In giving him a suspicious and mischievous look all in one as she stepped inside.

"That's the thing i'm not nice if they don't take the hint, you know what im just gunna join a nunnery, you don't normally get hot nuns so I should be fine." She watched Leonard cough on a laugh as he came in and headed straight for the replicator. "What?"

"Are you saying you're gunna be fine cuz you'll be the hot nun or because you're gunna avoid being tempted by a nun because you don't think nuns are attractive." He asked taking a sip from his replicated whiskey.

"The latter, but thanks i thought i'd be a hot nun aswell- maybe not with the blonde wig though. Also why are we in your room?" She asked sitting awkwardly on the edge of the small sofa chair. Leonard couldn't help but smile at how awkward she was despite the confident exterior.

"You wouldn't tell me where you lived i couldn't walk you home without an address. So you're sleeping here, i'll take the couch." Leonard spoke casually, a frustrated frown forming on his face as he trudged angrily over to his wardrobe and pulled his shirt off, sighing as the irritation from the tag finally stopped. "Do you want-"

Leonard nearly jumped out of his skin as soft hands met his torso, brushing over the patch of skin where the tag had been rubbing as she hummed. A concerned frown on her face as she teetered on the spot. "You've been itching this, way too much." Her voice was low as she spoke, gentle enough that it didn't cut through any of the tension in the atmosphere of the room, but smooth enough to make the air around them feel electric.

"Yea… i know." Leonard grumbled watching blue eyes trail over his irritated skin before they started wondering elsewhere.

Getting shirtless in front of a drunk woman is not the best idea ive ever had, don't want her to take it-

"What were you saying by the way? Do i want to what?" Blue eyes glanced at him before she turned and grabbed a tin of deodorant off his drawers and pressed it into his side, the cold metal easing his irritated skin so fast Leonard couldn't help but sigh. Eyebrow quirked up as she pulled off the mask and quirked an eyebrow up at him suggestively.

"I- was gunna ask do you want a shirt to sleep in, i've got unused hotel pajama bottoms around here somewhere as well." Leonard stood frozen to the spot taking in the contours of her face without the mask on realising a little to late there was a hand gliding across his torso, feather light like she was battling internally with herself, wanting to touch but not wanting to cross a line. She seemed to be zoned out, even as her fingertips splayed a little to far down past his belly button towards his belt. Reaching out a hand he took hold of her wrist gently, looking at her as she snapped out of her trance and looked up at him. "I wasn't suggesting anything like that."

"What if i was?" Her zoned out state had vanished and was replaced immediately with a seductive smirk.

Leonard swallowed but shook his head. "You're way too drunk for that, and I don't do flings. Sorry." He said in all seriousness, not being able to help the short snort of laughter that escaped him when she pouted at him dramatically.

"Neither do I normally, but it's been a while…" She admitted, going slightly red in the face and looking at the ground as he took over holding the deodorant tin pressed against his side. "Am i not pretty enough for you? Or is it cuz i have too much muscle? a lot of guys dont mind the legs and ass but don't like my arms and shoulders cuz they're 'too big for a woman' I don't even think they're that big i just like em a bit toned-"

Leonard scoffed until he realised she was serious by the look of uncertainty on her face as she tensed and untensed her arms which hey, visible triceps, rounded shoulders, curve of her biceps visible, she looked good, he had no idea why anyone would say she was too big or too bulky. "Sweetheart id take you just as you are, any guy saying that shit is just insecure that youre more committed to the gym than they are."

"Really?" She quirked a brow up at him relaxing into the sofa chair a bit more now they'd been talking for a while. He could see her watching him as he pulled on a different shirt, grey and short sleeved but so much more comfortable as he placed the deodorant back on the side, before picking it back up to spray under his arms.

"Yup, without the wig or contacts though."

"Blondes not your thing? What if i'm a different shade of blonde in real life?"

Leonard shook his head smirking at her as he passed her one of his old shirts. "You're not, you got freckles all over your arms, got em on your face under that makeup as well, i reckon you're a natural red head. And hey i got nothing against blondes."

"But you prefer gingers-"

"I never said that- what're you doing- i gave you that to change into not wear over your-" Leonard frowned at her in bewilderment and amusement as he watched her pull the shirt he'd gave her over her head, watching as she didn't put her arms in the arm holes as she wriggled within his shirt.

"Shh shh i got it, what you can't take off a shirt within another shirt? Weak-" she shuffled eventually awkwardly pulling her crop top off through the neck hole of the white shirt hed gave her. "Fucking sorted. Oh my god this shirt is huge, there's no way this has ever fit you." She chirped grinning as she laughed and stood, watching the material fall to just above her mid thigh.

Leonard couldn't help but laugh as well, for a random woman he'd met trying to guide pavel while drunk her laughter and mood was infectious. "Yea i bought it in the wrong size by accident, couldn't be bothered returning it."

"Alright so- what's your story Len, Doctor, protector of sleepwalking kids, hater of sex yet lover of gingers-" She stumbled slightly as she stepped towards him falling straight into his arms, hed never moved so fast in his life to catch her before she hit the deck, she was still drunk and by no means steady on her feet and was still wearing those damn shoes.

"Will you take off those damn shoes-" he was cut off by a gentle peck of a kiss against his lips before the contact was gone and he was looking into sad eyes in shock.

"Thanks for letting me- for not taking advantage, letting me stay. I'll take the shoes off." She mumbled offering a lopsided apologetic smile.

Christ i haven't been her level of drunk in a while, her head is gunna be pounding in the morning.

He wasn't worried about the pec she'd gave him, it was obvious it wasn't her being suggestive or trying to be inappropriate, he guessed it was meant as a thank you. If she'd tried to stick her tongue down his throat though it would've been an entirely different story, one that would have probably ended with him walking her home no matter her protests.

"Just sit down, i got it, you're gunna hurt yourself." He eased her down onto the edge of his bed as he kneeled on one knee in front of her and slipped her shoes off her feet.

"Ill put your stuff on the chair for you to grab in the morning okay?" He looked up at her seeing her nod, looking progressively more tired as the night dragged on.

"Hey Leonard… do you ever get lonely?"

He sighed, turning from his place in front of the chair to look back at her, seeing her sat crossed legs on his bed with her head resting on one hand as she glanced up at him. A strange distant look on her face.

"Yea… Sometimes."

"Its shit isn't it, being surrounded by so many people but feeling utterly and completely alone. Sometimes think i should be in therapy not giving people it-"

"I can relate... but you gotta keep doing what you're doing." It felt weird, she was drunk as hell and he was opening up to her from her one display of fragility, fuck it, its unlikely she'll even remember any of it in the morning as is. If she needs someone to talk to then it may aswell be someone who understands.

"I know i know, i cant quit im in charge but fuck me do you ever get the urge to stranlge people on the job? Not literally but- wait sorry are you a doctor doctor or a nurse or-"

"I'm a doctor, a cmo, trust me i understand what you mean, feel like you're constantly scowling at people. Like i wouldnt be frowning if you prescribed them the right shit in the first place."

"Oh my god you get ittt, i thought it was just me, like fuck sake Ashley ive told you 6 times before this that you have to clean the area and put the cream on before you use the dermal regerator on anyone, and ive demonstrated it atleast twice already jesus mother of god-" She shot up from the bed motioning wildly with her hands with a look of restrained rage on her face.

"And the worst part about it all is you want them to do better, and you end up kinda liking the bastards, you want some of them to go back and-"

"Finally become fully fledged doctors themselves, what the hell? How come we've never met before, this is a travesty. Not just because id climb you like a tree but, you get it, the whole doctor thing." Pausing she frowned at him as he started laughing before clicking on to exactly what she'd said. "You see that, me not being able to filter anything out is why i haven't told you my name, im hoping if i ever see you again you won't recognize me so I can flirt more subtly and you can appreciate that I'm not just a lonely drunk mess." She winked at him in a joking manner as she shot finger guns at him with a lopsided grin.

"You're a very honest drunk ill give you that."

"Howdya know im being honest? I could be lying." She folded her arms in half protest as she stuck her tongue out at the man across from her.

"Nah, it's all in your body language, bet i could ask you anything right now and you'd say the first thing that popped into your head." Leonard chuckled strolling over to the drawers in his hotel room to try find her those pajama bottoms he'd promised her, turning to face her as he heard her laugh guiltily only to almost snap his neck as he looked away again. She was stood behind him, facing away from him trying to peel down the leather trousers she was wearing.

"Probably would, but im honest all the time anyway." She replied with that endearing slur overlapping her british accent. Leonard turned his head slowly this time, a nervous and slightly guilty knot in his stomach as he felt his eyes following her legs, over the curve of her calves and up to her thighs before he noticed the oversized shirt riding up the back of her legs at speed as she bent down to get her feet out of the leg holes. He snapped his head back around immediately for the second time closing his eyes and pinching the bridge of his nose.

Yes, you're still attracted to women after all this time you didn't need to check, idiot.

"Oh hey don't worry about the bottoms this is fine as is, its like a nightie i love it." Leonard turned to see her do an off balance spin with a dopey grin and couldn't help but smile and shake his head at her. Honest and far too trusting, but not at all nieve… Maybe she just had a good sense of good and bad people?

"Alright if that's what you're comfortable in i won't force ya to wear the bottoms."

"Couldn't force me to wear anything i didn't want too. Besides, You get a great view of my legs in this, i know youre a hater of sex but i wont shout at you for looking just fyi, i worked hard on these fuckers." She slapped her thighs and Leonard couldn't help laughing again, she was gorgeous but she was a dork, a funny dork. He couldnt help but find it endearing.

"I dont hate sex i just dont do flings." He said casually, undoing his belt, sliding it out from the loops of his jeans and moving to hang it on the back of the bathroom door.

"Me neither, well, apart from like when i was- actually no. Think i've had like 2 successful flings in my life… not counting tonight because huge failure lets be real." She laughed at herself. "Just had to make sure my virginity hadn't grown back or anything."

Leonard couldn't help choking on his whiskey from his seat back on the couch as he laughed. "I know you said it's been a while but there's no way its been that long, not that you can 'grow' back your virginity in the first place anyhow."

"Its been 4 years."

"You what-"

"Yea… oh my god thats embarrassing why did i just admit to that."

"Its nothing to be embarrassed about sweetheart im just shocked, first time ive heard of a beautiful woman like yourself being single for such a long time, especially when you have a personality aswell."

He watched her flush like shed never been called pretty before in her life and realised she must really be being serious. What a waste, from what i can tell she seems lovely, far too nice to be single. "You think i have a good personality?"

"Well yea, you've been making me laugh and keeping me willingly talking… You're pretty good company, even though you're stubborn as hell." He raised an eyebrow at her mockingly and watched her crack a smile from her spot on his bed. Before she squinted at him with suspicion and started smiling a little bit harder.

"Are you sure you're not trying to seduce me, because if you are its kinda working." She giggled as he laughed at her lightheartedly.

"Im not trying to seduce you, promise. I dont even think i know how to seduce anyone anymore. Seriously though, you're good company, could see us getting along sober as well."

"Yea i think we would get along… i dont know how id cope being friends with someone im attracted too though. Disaster. It would be a disaster-"

"Hah cmon, you've got beer goggles on right now, you'd be fine."

"Beer goggles, shut up im drunk but i can see straight, i will fight you."

"To be fair i wonder what it would be like being friends with someone you are attracted too. I mean, I know attractive people but im not attracted to them."

"Actually that's a good point… but that means id definately fail at being friends with you."

"Why?"

She gave him a once over with a certain look in her eyes that had him wanting to fidget under her gaze. "Because im imagining what it'd be like to ride you where you're sat." she purred at him from her spot halfway across the room.

Leonard swallowed hard and darted his tongue out to wet his lips subconsciously his mouth suddenly feeling dry, feeling something unwillingly stirring below the belt at her tone and the mental image that came with it. "That sounds more like hormones and the alcohol talking." He drawled suddenly glad he was sat a reasonable distance away from her if one line in a slightly sultry tone was able to get a reaction out of him so easily, no matter how smoothly he was playing it off.

"Maybe, but part of it is definitely just me, you've got a very kissable face."

"Definitely the alcohol talking sweetheart, trust me you wouldn't want me if you knew me."

"Not entirely, and stop putting yourself down…" she let herself lay down on her side, facing him with her head propped up on her hand, oversized shirt draping itself over the curve of her hips. "Do you call people sweetheart when theyre under you, do you ever swear?"

"You are a horny nosey pervert and you need to get some sleep, you ain't gonna find out the answers to those questions while you're drunk."

"Let's be real, im never gunna find out the answers to those questions, because even if i do remember tonight and even if you wanted to be friends, were both gunna be too busy."

"Nah i recon we'll at the very least bump into eachother again, and i can take the piss out of you for wanting to fuck me. Never say never, might even find out your name next time we see each other."

"Hmmm i don't think i can imagine you saying my name out loud, and you do swear occasionally, noted. I promise not to wake you up, thanks again for letting me stay. Im just gunna, take me contacts out don't turn lights out yet." She jumped up and scurried to the bathroom leaving the door open as she clicked on the light and stood in front of the mirror.

"Needed to get my own shit sorted first anyway woman, relax." Leonard scoffed at her grabbing a blanket from a chest at the end of his bed and taking the pair of pillows from one side of the double bed, arranging them on the couch as best he could. Glad that even if the couch was a little short for him it wasn't by much and it was at least wide enough for him to turn on his side without much risk of rolling off.

"Okay okay i'm ready… are you sure you don't want the bed… I feel bad now, you look kinda cramped."

"Get into bed woman im fine, you better not snore though." Leonard said dismissively waving her off with an added frown to make sure she understood she was sleeping in the damn bed and there was no arguments to be had over it.

"I don't, don't worry, g'night Len, you're the best." She yawned in his general direction as she pulled the duvet over her and settled under it curling up a little, sleepy women were always adorable. This strange and drunk one was no exception.

"G'night ginger." He mumbled as he settled into his pillows with a sigh. Shaking his head with a small smile.

"Thats most of what i can remember anyway, although im pretty sure you got up to use the bathroom ranting to yourself about viruses so god knows what you dreamt about." Leonard snorted at her as she giggled softly sat on the edge of his desk… Wait, didn't Jim say they'd- in his office. Leonard found himself turning red feeling his ears burning, looking up at her, pink cheeked and smiling, a loose strand of hair hanging down the side of her face delicately drawing his eye further down to a rather angry looking love bite all red and purple just peeking out from the collar of her dress. Raising his hand to his own neck involuntarily fingers gliding over his skin till he felt the sting of bruised flesh. His brain running a mile a minute as he looked back up at her face and saw the recognition in her eyes as she glanced at his hand.

It wasn't a big deal, except it was. It was proof, in the flesh. He'd marked her, probably at some point when they'd been a tangle of limbs and shed done the same. A little more obvious than her own, half of the ship must have seen it by now and until this point he'd apparently thought little of it, or maybe even wore it with pride.

"Yea erm… thanks for letting me stay anyway i didnt get to thank you, before now. And sorry for being a drunk pervert not one of my proudest moments-" Alex was cut off by Leonard standing abruptly and leaning into her personal space his hands braced on the opposite edge of the desk to where she was perched, a distant look in his eyes that she couldn't quite read. Fear? Anxiety? Hope? Confusion?

"Did you find out the answers to your questions?" Leonard didn't know why he'd asked, wasn't entirely sure why he'd opened his mouth. The story was one thing but the marks on them both had his head spinning, he'd made love to this woman and he couldn't remember a thing. And maybe that was why he needed to know, maybe he needed to hear that he'd at least done things right.

"I did…" She all but whispered, eyes searching his face as she watched his darting from her eyes to her lips, then to her neck. She couldn't take it, the tension around them, his gaze, he was blocking her mentally but she could read plain as day at least one emotion on his face. He was confused beyond belief, so conflicted and she was only making matters worse by lingering. "Im sorry, i have to go- duty calls." She stood up from his desk so fast it seemed to snap leonard out of his trance from whiplash.

"Alex, im sorry-"

"Yea me too." She stammered as she practically ran from his office.

Thats all for now folks!

Sorry its such a long chapter!
