Guess who finally found the time to write some more. I am beyond sorry for how long this update took to get out. Please forgive me.

"I don't know if I can do this Jim, i mean it's been a day and i've already sent her running, can't seem to keep my damn mouth shut." Jim opened the door stepping back immediately as Bones walked in. The blond not being able to stop the smile at Bones' woman stress.

"Whatve you done Bones."

"Didn't mean to interrupt your game-"

"It's fine Bones we'll finish it after cmon what have you done?" Jim waved him off as Bones noticed Spock sat at the desk and the chessboard mid game.

"I ended up telling her about the night I met her walking a sleepwalking chekov down the corridors, we were just talking and it came up."

"I always wondered what happened that night, er yea we all know about it from a bad away mission a couple of weeks back but not really what happened after."

"Just the usual drunken talk and jokes and flirting, a lot of flirting, Look quick rundown of that night is her drunk as hell funny but also a bit of a pervert and shed asked me some pretty-" Leonard coughed suddenly feeling slightly awkward. "suggestive questions."

Spock and Jim glanced at each other with raised brows before turning their attention back to Leonard. "Right…" Jim dragged out the word waving his hand at Bones to carry on explaining what he'd done wrong.

Leonard groaned stood in the middle of Jims room with his hand over his eyes, moving to the chair opposite Spock at the desk directed their by jims waving hand as the blonde sat on the edge of his bed. "I asked if she'd found out the answers to her questions." Leonard sighed at himself pinching the bridge of his nose with a frown as he glared at one particular chess piece.

Jim didn't know whether to laugh or groan, as charming as bones was he was also an idiot. He ended up letting out a small chuckle earning him a glare from the grumpy cmo. "I don't know what to tell you Bones, why did you even come out with that-"

"I noticed a hickey on her neck... then found one on my own and i think my brain short circuited because Its physical evidence that we've been gettin' it on- and i have no memory of it whatsoever."

"Getting it on- so basically you freaked out because you realise you've been sleeping with her." Jim reasoned trying not to crack a smile at how frustrated Bones was with his little slip up, it's not like Alex was gunna hold it against him when she knew his head was all over the place and with the lack of memories, the hickeys would have definitely been a shock to Bones. "Give yourself a break Bones, you've just been going on what everyone else has told you since you hit your head, pretty different from actually seeing living proof."

"Of course I freaked out, and I opened my mouth and asked that- of all the things-"

"What were the questions she actually asked you, when she was drunk?" Jim questioned with an intrigued frown, sparing a quick glance at spock who was wearing a similar intrigued brow raise.

Leonard rubbed circles into his temples as he leaned on Jim's desk with his elbows. "She asked me if i call the women i take to bed sweetheart when theyre under me, and if I ever swear in the bedroom." He ground out, eyes squeezed shut and scowl painfully present on his face, still pissed at himself for making her so uncomfortable.

"Sounds like something Alex would say sober- but yea i can see how that'd make things a bit awkward, considering youve smacked your head and forgot everything. But I can also understand why you asked in the first place and we both know Bones, it wasn't you tryna flirt. Why are you so paranoid you've messed up somewhere?"

"Had to know i was treatin' her right Jim, didnt wanna be another problem on her plate with all the shit she's dealing with and has dealt with, not that it matters right now. Selfish ass question to make myself feel better- i need a drink."

"Bones, you need to relax, it's all gunna work itself out, just need to get Ace through this next week while this trial is going on, and then we can focus on getting your memory back. To be honest it'll more than likely come back with you being around her at work anyway, it's the best place for you to be to try to trigger your memory."

"Oh i know that, but its gunna be a fucking nightmare if i cant keep my mouth shut, feel like im losing control Jim i almost slapped her ass when we were leaving after shift, like the awkwardness from before had long since gone but christ i could have got myself slapped or fired." Jim couldnt help the burst of laughter that forced its way out which earned him a harsh glare.

"I highly doubt Alex would have slapped you for such a slip up Leonard, she is for the most part, an understanding woman. And knows you are not in an ideal position in regards to your amnesia."

"And how do you know that?"

"I spoke with her today, not long after she came back aboard the ship. I had said previously, I would ask her how your bond came to be and I did." Spock spoke casually but left it at that and had both Jim and Leonard looking at him expectantly.

"And what? When was it made?" Jim asked with a frown.

"Last week i believe." Spock said matter of factly as he straightened one of the chess pieces on the board.

"What just like that? Just randomly decided to mind meld with me?" Leonard questioned with a frown, this made so little sense.

"It did not happen 'just like that', i believe there was a brief discussion on the matter promoted by your curiosity on the subject, before the meld took place. It is as I suspected it may have transpired, and is not an uncommon occurrence between paired Vulcans, however it rarely forms a bond, forming a bond usually takes extreme concentration unless the pair in the meld are naturally compatible."

"Wait so paired vulcans have done this without creating a bond?"

"Yes, however Vulcans possess a much more innate control over their emotions, forming a bond is an emotional experience, with Alex being half human and you fully human doctor, it doesn't surprise me that this happened under the circumstances."

"Under what circumstances…" Leonard trailed off looking at Spock with a quirked brow as the Vulcan returned the look mirrored.

"Coitus. I believe the phrase Alex used was that you were both 'in the middle of something'."

Leonard couldn't help but laugh at that. "I'm gunna kill her i swear to god."

"Yea Bones you really can't just blame her though can you, memory loss or not you still actively took part." Jim wiggled his eyebrows at his friend with a shit eating smirk.

"Still gunna kill her, and you too if you don't watch your mouth."

You kill me you never get a chance to be in the middle of something again cuz i'll haunt your ass.

"Jesus christ woman have you been listening the entire time!" Leonard half shouted in shock at the voice echoing loudly in his head. Hands gripping the arm rest of the chair in shock

"What. Oh god." Jim couldn't help but start wheezing with laughter as he realised what was happening.

Not the entire time but i've heard enough to know im gunna kill Spock for telling you, sorry for tuning in wasn't intentionally trying to be nosey. im clocking off now anyway, night

Night Alex…

Leonard could feel the anxiety rolling through their link in waves despite her initial playfulness before it faded out to a comfortable hum, a barely there presence in the back of his mind.

She must be nervous as hell about the trial tomorrow.

"You should probably know Spock shes not best pleased with you for opening your mouth." Leonard gave the Vulcan a pointed look and watched a wave of concern wash over Spocks face momentarily.

Jim couldn't stop laughing from the bed as he held his face in his hands. "What she threaten you with?"

Leonard frowned at how Jim seemed to know exactly what she was like, weirdly finding himself rather irritated by it. "To haunt my ass." Leonard grumbled watching Jim laugh a little harder before he tapered off. "She's terrified Jim... You sure this is gunna go her way?"

"Bones, hes not gunna get away with what he did." Jim stopped laughing instantly at that, a stern look coming to rest on his face.

"He will be found guilty Leonard i have no doubt, no Vulcan will stand for what he did, the deliberate destruction of a growing life, the blackmail, the torture of another intelligent species, he has broken more than 8 Vulcan laws and his obsession over Alex and Torin shows traits not disimilar to a psychopath. There is no reality where he will win."

"God Spock i hope youre right." Leonard sighed, the vulcans certainty did make him feel a little better about the entire thing but he couldn't imagine what Alex was going through, just waiting for the morning to come and everything to start.

"On a lighter note, because i dont want to think about the trial for a second and that monster in the brig, did anyone else get one of these?" Jim leaned over and plucked a brown envelope from his nightstand holding it up between two fingers.

The first day of the trial went surprisingly smoothly despite the fact she walked around the entire day feeling like her heart was in her throat. all the staring Vulcans. she felt so exposed in front of them. she didn't know if they were judging her like they seemed to do with spock or they were pitying her in their own weird way. The court had spent the first half of the day reviewing the footage, and she thanked whatever gods that may exist in every universe and religion that they hadn't let Lyras near any form of technology because she had an honest to god fear that he would have had the knowledge to hack into the network and delete the files easily. But no he wanted other Vulcans to see what he'd done. hear about what he'd done to ruin her life. He took pride in it. Now that had earned a rather obvious look of disgust from the Vulcan high council when he had seemingly boasted about it openly, and it was far from easy to elicit such a reaction from these Vulcans in particular. Spock had pointed out his father, the Vulcan ambassador for earth, as he sat in the jury, and though the man was Vulcan through and through, and had never met Alex before she saw his jaw visibly clench multiple times. Spock had informed her later that day that his father had believed if Spock's mother had still been alive she would have been furious, and insisted on having Alex stay for tea. And that's precisely how she was invited to tea with Spock and his father, though Spock had asked so nicely with a hint of his none smile that she couldn't refuse.

Spock had been unbelievably understanding of her situation and all her concerns that he had even assured her that his father would not make any comments in regards to her obviously more human behaviour and actions. Had explained her biology was near identical to any other humans and that he had told his father, irregardless of Alex's Vulcan half, he was not to try and change her as a person or push Vulcan tradition on her. To which she had responded by pulling him into a hug out of reflex of thanking anyone who went out of their way to look out for her. Because Spock had really went out of his way, and had actually tried to prepare not only Alex, but also his father for this experience as he realised they were in fact, polar opposites.

And thats how she found herself stood at Spocks side outside his home on the brink of an anxiety attack, to her embarressment. "Spock i dont know if i can do this, i wont lie, im kinda freaking out here, im nothing like a Vulcan and i can't just turn my emotions off recently-"

"Recently?" Spock raised a brow at her before he gently placed a hand on her shoulder. "Alex you do not need to be anything but yourself, you are not here as a Vulcan you are here as a friend."

" Alright okay, be myself, i can do this, lets go." Alex sucked in a breath then huffed it out giving herself a shake as Spock opened the door and waved her in.

She wouldnt lie the one story building looked simple and modern on the outside but it was even better on the inside, stained glass panelling that reached floor to ceiling was staggered meters apart in the wide entryway, the sun shining through them from the glass walls of the open plan room to the left of the front door. Some kind of table with a device in the centre sat in the middle of the room, standing alone against beige walls. "These are lovely." Alex whispered in a daze as she gazed at the vivid coloured planes of glass and the sharp angular patterns within them, her hands ghosting over them but never touching as they walked slowly deeper into the house. The walls were bare spare some shelves and some interesting shaped ceramic sculptures, before they came into the kitchen and dining room in one, the living room seemed to be adjacent through a doorless curved arch but that was a passing realisation as she spotted the gray haired Vulcan cutting vegtables on one of the countertops. Before the man lifted his head and noticed the pair stood there, his face unchanging but his eyes flashed with recognition.

"Ah, Spock, Alex, you are early. The food will not be ready for some time. You are welcome to sit." Sarek motioned to the rectangular table in the centre of the room.

Spock just nodded and took a seat. But before Alex pulled her chair out she had to ask. "Do you want help with anything? I can cut veg or even just stir the pot." Alex motioned to the pot she noticed on the stove and smiled albiet a little nervously, though she hoped it didnt show.

Sarek regarded her for a second with a slight upward quirk to his lips before he turned back to his task. "Thankyou, but no. It would be rude inviting a guest for a meal and making them take part in its preperation."

"Ill make some tea." Spock stood up and moved to another part of the kitchen looking over at Alex he raised a brow at her and held up a cup in a silent question.

"Uww yes please, what type of tea is it?" Alex hummed standing and coming to stand beside Spock till they were stood shoulder to shoulder, Spock didnt even flinch at their proximity. Probably Jim rubbing off on him, either that or he'd actually started to feel fully comfortable around her as well. She didnt actually need to stand up but she felt more comfortable actively moving about at the moment, or being fidgety as Leonard would call it.

"I was going to make camomille unless you have another preference, we have others." Spock said as he opened a cupboard above his head showing over 10 different boxes of different types of tea.

"I mean camomile is good but wow, you have a tea cupboard. Why dont i have a tea cupboard? Do you have a tea stash on the ship?" Alex rambled slightly as she eyed all the flavours a little giddily, turning her head to look at Spock as she heard an unmistakable huff of air that must have been a half chuckle from Spock. Looking at his smirk she squinted at him before smiling. "Wheres the stash?"

"In my quarters, though i do not have as many as there is here."

"Question, obviously you drink camomille black but do you drink all your tea black?" Alex quirked a brow, she'd never actually seen Spock ever add anything to his tea and wasnt sure he knew that it was an option if she was honest.

"Black?"

Alex grinned then. "You know the same way people drink black coffee where theres nothing else added to it."

"Oh, yes i do drink my tea black, but the way youre speaking makes me think you are about to inform me of other options."

"Theres a type of tea thats called black tea, and things like earl gray where they actually taste better with milk and sugar." Spock paused momentarily before pouring the hot water into the teapot and placing the lid on, a slight frown of curiosity present.

"Fascinating, is this typical earth practice or is this something youve inveneted yourself?"

Alex scoffed at Spock playfully as they headed back over to the table. "I think its kind of common on earth but i think for the most part its an english thing. But you should totally try it sometime, 2 teaspoons of sugar if you have a sweet tooth or 1 just for a hint of sweetness and a dash of milk." Alex chirped happily.

"It is more common in the united kingdom you say? I believe i may have tried it before years ago."

Alex smiled as she turned to face the older Vulcan who was speaking over his shoulder. "How did you like it?"

"As i recal it was quite a pleasant experience, though i made the mistake of putting far to many cubes of sugar into my cup, 4 if i recal correctly. I had to order another to truly appreciate the beverage." Sarek said matter of factly, Alex couldnt help but put a hand to her mouth to stifle a giggle.

"If you thought 4 was bad i once saw someone put 6 in one cup, it must have been like drinking syrup." Alex pulled a face of disgust alongside Spocks look of mild concern at her remark. "Some humans are weird." Alex commented as she picked up the tea pot and tilted her head to Spock then his empty cup, pouring him a cup when he nodded, then pouring herself one.

"I dont mean to darken the tone of the conversation, Alex. But the scars on your scalp, do you know what they say?" Sarek asked almost solemly.

"Farther-" Spock frowned towards the older Vulcan his voice a sharp warning before Alex put her hand out towards Spock.

"Its okay Spock, he's just trying to inform me if i didnt know. I know what they mean. Ulef Khaf. Half blood. Its not so bad, ive got the best role model, he's a good friend too even if he wont tell me where his tea stash is." Alex jokingly glared towards Spock.

"You think of me as a role model?" Spock sounded shocked, shocked for a Vulcan.

"Well yea Spock, youve been probably the most helpful and considerate of everyone since we got back. Not that you werent role model material before cuz you were but… i dont know, nobody else gets it, not like you do." Alex trailed off looking down into her half empty tea cup with tired eyes.

"I am glad to hear you have not let her endure this alone Spock. Your mother would be proud. I believe she would have liked you, Alex." Sarek turned to her and she offered him a genuine smile in return before he started pouring out the soup into bowls.

"Is this what i think it is? Plomeek soup?" Alex questioned curiously having never tried the dish before.

"It is indeed, however i have taken the liberty of making a spicier varient, i know humans are rather fond of stronger flavours." Sarek spoke evenly as he set her bowl down in front of her before setting his own down, Alex only just noticing that he'd already set the table. She stared down at the red broth in her bowl and breathed deep feeling the spicess tickling her nose ever so slightly.

"Thankyou, i appreciate it, but you didnt have to go through all this trouble for me."

"It was no trouble Doctor i assure you, i always keep the ingriedients and spices in stock."

It was quiet for a while as they all began eating, and a kind of calm had settled over the table before Sarek broke the silence once again.

"I assume you are also here for my approval of your choice of partner Spock."

Spock cocked his head ever so slightly and sent a confused glance Alex's way as if asking her she knew what his father was talking about.

"Farther?"

"Are you and Alex not persuing an intimate relationship?"

Alex almost choked on her soup as she brought a hand up to her mouth and gave Sarek a wide eyed look of shock.

"We are not." Spock stated plainly, words spoke fast and hard as if he was trying to put an end to the conversation instantly.

"No we arent-" Alex added, trying to subtly catch her breath.

"My apologies, I seem to have wrongly judged your behaviour around my son. Though a match between the two of you would be logical I understand it is your choice to make."

Alex frowned slightly at that, not really knowing how to take the comment. "Although Spock is lovely, I'm seeing someone else, Spock and I are just good friends."

"Indeed. I am also already in a relationship, you have already met them, and your approval is not something I am concerned with, farther."

"Understood. Either way, whoever they are I am gratified that you have found someone. It is rare for a Vulcan of your age to be without a bonded partner."

"As a half Vulcan I am at less risk farther, but I do in fact have a partner at the present time."

"At more risk of what?" Alex chimed in innocently curious.

"The blood fever."

"Ah, right."

"You know of the blood fever?" Sarek raised a brow towards Alex as he spoke. "It is not common for an outsider to know these things about our race."

"As a half Vulcan herself she is hardly an outsider farther." Spock corrected sternly. Sparing Alex an apologetic look as he appeared to glare towards his farther.

"Yea, well, I've previously been in a relationship with a Vulcan and I asked alot of questions, guess it's the doctor side of me coming through. Though I will clarify he gave me the answers willingly, I didn't force them out of him." Alex let out a nervous chuckle as she heard Spock let out a huff of air beside her, though Sareks face remained cast in stone.

"It is unlikely you would be able to force a pure blooded Vulcan to divulge information against their will even if you chose to use force."

"It was a joke farther, earth humour."

"Ah, my apologies, I have grew less attuned to humans behaviour since the loss of my wife."

"Its okay." Alex spoke quietly, feeling it to still be a sensitive subject for both the men in the room.

"I am however curious Alex since you seem to possess the Vulcan ability to mind meld along with touch telepathy if you have inherited any other traits from your Vulcan heritage." Spock spoke curiousity evident in his tone.

"I don't really know, is their many traits that are inherently Vulcan that I dont know about?"

Spock paused as he looked at her his eyes going slightly wide as something dawned on him. "Dr Reid I believe we may have overlooked something drastic. Besides the possibility of you having superior strength to the average human."

"Like what…"

"I will discuss it with you back on the ship which we should be returning too soon, thankyou for the meal farther, I apologise for leaving so suddenly but we must go." Spock abruptly stood up and grabbed both his and Alex's bowls, placing them in the sink to be washed not even glancing back at his farther as he grabbed Alex's arm and pulled her off the stool and towards the front door.

"Spock what the- it was nice to meet you!" Alex called out as she was promptly dragged through the front door and back out into the scorching heat of new Vulcan. "Spock what's going on you're freaking me out and- you're scared? Worried?"

"Alex please. I will explain everything on the ship, were their is less chance we will be overheard."

"Uh okay, you can let go of me Spock I can keep up." Alex glanced down to where Spocks hand was firmly wrapped around her bicep, she had a long sleeved uniform shirt on but still they had earned some questioning looks from passers by. Spock glanced down at his hand swiftly removing it as he apologised.

And here they were now walking through the corridors at break neck speed as an uneasy feeling of dread brewed in Alex's gut. As they hurtled past people giving them very strange looks she tried to focus on the hum of the ships engines to keep her calm before she was stood in a briefing room with Spock stood across from her looking disgruntled.

"Alex. It is a possibility that you may experience a form of pon far during your lifetime, though it is highly unlikely it cannot be ruled out."

"I'm sorry what? surely not, anatomically I'm more human than Vulcan."

"Indeed. Which is why I am concerned. I myself as a half Vulcan, have only experienced pon far once, the normal cycle for a pure blooded Vulcan is every seven years since the start of puberty in our species. It is unlikely you will experience this but it is still possible, I have recently realised a factor that may suggest you share more in common with your Vulcan half than you previously realised."

"What factor…"

"Vulcan females doctor, have pheromones, just like humans, however they are notably stronger. There is a reason humans are drawn almost hypnotically at times to most Vulcan women they come across, though the men do secret pheremones aswell it does not create the same response in humans, in fact-"

"Okay okay slow down."

"There are 2 points I am trying to make doctor. 1, it is quite possible- in fact I am certain you are secreting pheromones of strength matching a Vulcan rather than a human, and it is more than obvious when observing human men interacting with you-"

"Excuse me, thats hardly solid evidence Spock really-"

"I am also certain because ever since Dr Mccoys amnesia and your growing lack of physical intimacy, I can smell it. Quite strongly infact, being around so little Vulcans while on the ship it took me longer than i would like to admit to realise."

Alex stood there stunned for a minute just staring at Spock with disbelief. "So im walking round with the equivelant to a beacon that screams 'fuck me' to other vulcans?" She whispered aggresively eyebrow starting to twitch.

Spock seemed to grimace which did nothing to reassure her otherwise as she sank into a chair. "Essentially but not quite, your pheremones smell slightly off, possibly due to the fact you share a bond with another but your needs are not being met. This is uncommon for a Vulcan but not unheard of, and is normally a signal that the bonded pair arent compatible, your pheremones are essentially seeking a mate to meet your needs. A signal to other Vulcans that you… wish to be claimed."

"You have got to be kidding me, if you can smell all that from me why cant i get all that info from smelling you? Shouldnt i be able to smell your pheremones easier? Come here-" Alex grabbed Spock by the shoulders and stood on her tip toes her forehead only reaching just above the mans chin as she breathed in deep through her nose. "Oh."

As she breathed in Spocks scent something seemed to click in her brain, information pouring in that she'd never gotten from simply using her nose before. Now she could smell him she couldnt stop noticing it, stop taking in all the information his scent was giving off. Unbonded, Satisfied yet craving?... his current partner. Jim. Alex blinked rapidly, had she just found out Spock was sexually satisfied from taking in his pheremones? He didnt seem phased whasoever despite her obvious shock. Though her proximity had the man leaning backwards slightly despite it not doing anything to deter the man from stating his current line of possible theories.

"The other concern i had doctor, was that if you did go through pon far there is a chance you would die sooner than the average Vulcan due to the extended periods of risen adrenaline levels we experience if you werent to recieve assistance in time. You may even forget to eat or drink in this time but i do not believe your body would cope with the stress without susstinence. "

"Well… i guess we just hope that it doesnt happen. Spock wait a second, how could i get that information from just your smell, i cant deciphere anything from Leonards smell."

"Human pheremones are not as strong, it would take a great amount of concentration and dedication on your part to be able to decipher anything from a humans scent."

"Alright another question, why am i only figuring out this now. if i've been a half Vulcan since birth then why couldn't i mind meld or get info from other Vulcan pheremones before now?"

"I think you have supressed these things subconciously because you thought of them as none human traits. You were, after all, raised believing you were human. It is possible and likely you suppressed certain things because you didnt deem them the norm for your species. You may have also had slip ups that you couldnt explain, like how you somehow heard how 'loud' doctor mccoys thoughts are while we all shared a dream."

Alex stilled for a second then, her hand twitching as she almost went to raise it but stopped herself. "But i thought, it was just the look on his face- i just read people well." She reasoned looking up almost desperately towards spock.

"Perhaps." Spock quirked a brow at her silently communicating through the smallest expression his true belief. Frowning quite suddenly Spock pursed his lips as he looked back up at the doctor currently perched in a chair across from him. "Doctor we may have another issue. Yourself and I are the only Vulcans on the ship."

"Hmm?"

"Should we start experiencing pon far at a similar time we may be... drawn to eachother."

"You mean…"

"It is an unfortunate affect of Vulcan biology, although this may not affect you as much as myself due to your bond, it may not affect you at all, i have no data to make a comparison against in regards to your specific biology and physiology. That being the case i suppose that this is more a warning, i will also inform Jim of this, we should have precautions put in place should this ever happen. It is also possible that either of us starting pon far could trigger the start of it for the other, on a hormonal and chemical level."

Alex let out a sigh with a short laugh as she dragged a hand over her eyes. "Never realised Vulcans were so complicated before now. But yea, ill talk too Leonard at some point aswell, see what we can have in place incase either situation arrises. Thats gunna be a fun conversation."

"Indeed." Spock breathed out as if he was also worried about breaking the news to Jim.

"Look i'm telling you this because i need help putting precautional measures in place, i understand why you're pissed off but you need to understand Leonard, its not an emotional thing, it's a Vulcan thing. I more than likely wont be as affected by it if it ever happens because im biologically closer to a human, this is for Spocks sake."

" Right, incase he goes into heat like an animal and decides he needs to fuck you. Leonard growled, pacing his office with a scowl ingrained on his face.

"Leonard!" Alex snapped frowning at him. "It's a biological reaction in Vulcans they evolved that way they can't help that, from what i know about pon far is that when its at its peak it is very very hard to control. Just like when you got infected with the sex pollen- which of course you dont remember becauss you hit your damn head." Alex fumed to herself out loud, not trying to make a dig at leonard personally more so at the obserdity of their situation but her comment appeared to do nothing but fuel Leonards temper.

"Right sorry my fault for hitting my head and not being able to relate to a horny Vulcan."

"You know that's not what i meant, and i know for a fact you understand exactly what i've just told you so why has this got you so riled up!" Alex stood in front of him now finger poking him in the chest as the air around them turned to static.

"I don't know, you went to have dinner at his house shouldn't you be able to figure this out on your own?" Leonard hissed shrugging dramatically as he slinked out away from her to behind his desk. He didn't know why he was taking his anger out on her like this but he just couldn't explain how he felt.

"I could, but i came to you for your medical opinion because i respect you- and i went to have a meal with a friend- wait…" Alex slowed as everything connected in her head, her feet carrying her till she was stood by leonards side as he glared at a data padd from his desk chair. "This is what this is about isnt it, your jealous- you think Spock wants too- you think i want to fuck Spock?!" Alexs temper reached a fever pitch. "Are you fucking insane?-"

"Thats not-"

"No it is- that is exactly what this is Leonard. I came to you with this because i trusted you to be able to do what im doing in this situation. Take my personal feelings and views out of the picture and look at things on a medical level to be able to see the bigger picture." Alex let out a short manic laugh in her disbelief. "To come up with a solution that prevents this from happening. Because just incase you didnt realise, neither me or Spock want to be sharing bodily fluids with the other due to some fucking chemical and hormonal reaction he literally has no control over." Alex lifted her hands up before letting them slap back down against her sides. "Forget it, i'll sort this out with Spock and Jim." And Alex pushed the button on his office door and was storming through it in an instant.

"Doctor Reid, don't you dare walk out of this sick bay." Leonard was out of his chair in an instant stood in the doorway of his office uncaring of the staff around him staring openly at the scene before them as his voice boomed.

"Don't you 'Doctor Reid' me Mccoy, don't you dare try to act all high and mighty now after everything you've just said. If you cant remove yourself emotionally from a situation maybe you should reconsider your career path." Alex practically hissed at him.

"Get your ass back in here right now, t-" Leonard was about to add something else before he stopped himself short.

"If you pull rank on me over a problem you created then you're gunna lose all my respect." Alex announced, jaw clenched tight as she stared him down from halfway across the room seeing him clench and unclench his jaw but not respond she took that as her que to leave. And she did, the doors of medbay closed behind her leaving a deafening slience for a brief time as nobody knew what to do or say.

Leonard looked around at them seeing his staff with a glint of genuine fear in their eyes, probably due to the extent of his anger, he rarely raised his voice to that degree. Leonard let out a breath he didnt realise he was holding and tried to lessen his scowl as he spoke gently "Get back to work."

He retreated back into his office with shame and sat himself on his desk chair putting his head in his hands. He was so angry, but he couldnt deny that Alex was right, he was Jealous, he'd assumed, he'd twisted things to fit his own little narrative. It just left him more angry than before, but he was angry at himself. He'd briefly painted her with the same brush as his ex wife, a cheater, all because of a possible scenario she'd brought to his attention, a scenario she wanted his help with stopping from ever happening.

He looked at his comm before flipping it open and dialing Alex. It rang and rang but she didnt answer. He wasn't suprised to be honest. Did he even have the right to get Jealous like that, it's not like he could remember her, all he knew was that she was in his head and he felt this obscene pull to her like she had her own centre of gravity, she was something he couldnt just ignore and pretend didnt exist because she did. And good lord was he glad she did but christ his head was throbbing. He tried her comm again and this time decided to leave a message.

"Alex… im sorry, you were right, i flipped what you were trying to tell me on its head and turned it into something else. I was Jealous and i got… scared, i dont know why- forget it. Just call me when youre ready to talk." Leonard spoke into the comm feeling his emotions physically drain as he sunk into a far from happy mood. Oh boy was he in for an ear full from Jim later, something that rarely happened but when it did it was normally warranted. Why the hell had he flipped out so suddenly, did he feel threatened by Spock? Or Spocks biology and similar physiology to the woman he was apparently quite attatched too, regardless of his amnesia? Or was it his own insecurities bubbling to the surface? Maybe it was both. Scared to lose someone that wasn't even his, typical.

Why in the hell would I even think Spock would do such a thing, sure he's got a pole up his ass but he's not the kinda guy to go around trying to add notches to his bed post. Spock is the last person who'd try hurting someone like that. The guys in love with Jim for crying out loud in what reality would he intentionally hurt Jim or Alex for the sake of a fling, i'm a fucking idiot. Spocks my friend. More to the point why would you immediately think Alex would want to- one of the most caring people youve met and you immediately thought she'd try and destroy multiple relationships. I've got some issues i need to work through, fuck me.

"First thing you have to figure out though is what you're going to say to her to clear up this mess." Leonard sighed to himself. Hell he didnt even know if she was gunna turn up in med bay for the rest of the day now, not that their was much of the day left, of course he'd manage to have an arguement with her on the first day of the trial. That settled it, he absolutely had to make it up to her. Dialing M'benga to let him know he'd be finishing his shift a little earlier than usual Leonard took the lift down to the docking bay and went for a walk through new Vulcans markets hoping to find some inspiration for what to say.

More to come (i know the spelling in this isnt on point but i hope its understandable if theres some huge mistakes do let me know. Thanks for sticking with me for this long!
