Alex sighed putting her guitar down as she heard her pad ping beside her. It was Nyota, with a very straight to the point 'what happened?' Message that had Alex rolling her eyes. Everything spread like wildfire on this ship, especially gossip.

Offering Nyota a quick reply of 'just a silly argument, don't worry we'll be fine x' she closed the chat and proceeded to scroll to another contact, sighing as she pressed the call button. It rang loudly in the quiet of her room before a familiar face appeared on her screen.

"Hey Dad." Alex smiled wearily, tears already threatening to spill from her eyes as she saw her old man's face and the absolute look of devastation and regret in his eyes before he replied.

"Hi sweetie." Old eyes were wrinkled at the corners where a tear threatened to escape. Both wishing they were in the same room rather than worlds apart.

"I want you to know i love you and I will forgive you, I just- I need my dad right now- I need my dad." Alex couldn't stop the tears falling and before long she was sobbing into her padd seeing her old man's face through her tears as he tried to calm her down. Wishing she was being wrapped up in his arms like he used to do when she was younger, still did whenever he saw her after a long time apart, the hug were he'd squeeze her close and stroke her hair. She may have been a grown ass woman but sometimes you just needed a hug off the most important man in your life.

The night dragged on as they sat and talked, talking for hours crying together as the truth finally came out. She found out how he'd met her mother, the stigma against their relationship at the time with her family heavily disapproving of the pairing. How he didnt know she was pregnant before she went back to Vulcan, the night he fell to his knees at the front door when he saw Alex for the first time, tiny toes and hands and flaming red hair, just like her mothers, in a basket full of blankets on his doorstep. How he cried as he held her, and how Gary, her older brother ,who was 5 at the time called 'uncle chris' to come and help, they laughed as they pictured Chris scraping him off the floor still in full starfleet uniform, as he'd sped to her dads temporary flat on campus in San Fransisco at the time. Learning that her dad was in the middle of training to become a professor there when all of a sudden he had two kids instead of one.

It was surreal in a way, hearing about it all for the first time but she heard the quiver in his voice as he spoke and could see it clear as day in his eyes as he recalled tiny details. And it all made sense in a way, everything seemed like it was linked together from the very beginning. Finding out exactly why Christopher Pike was in reality a part of their family, even more so after Alex came into the picture. Of course she'd heard the story before of how they'd met, it started out as some petty arguement some violent drunk trying to start a fight with Chris before her dad came in to defend him and all hell broke loose, they both fought back to back taking on the guy and another 4 guys that were with him all by themselves. Buying eachother a drink they went outside to cool off thinking it was done when he'd noticed headlights turn on behind Chris as an engine roared to life and tried to drive straight at them, her dad pushing Chris out of the way without a second thought saving his life. It being the same story of how her farther ended up with a mostly bionic right leg as a lot of it was crushed in the incident. The guy obviously out and ran when he realised he'd actually caused some harm, but they stayed in contact after that and became close friends. He was literally in their family photos for crying out loud.

And though it was heartwarming to know Chris was there the first night she arrived with her dad, she couldnt help feel betrayed that he'd never mentioned anything himself. Not even when she went to the academy herself.

Atleast she knew one thing. Her brothers never knew, Gary, her older brother, was told when she was very little she had a bit of an issue with her ears which is why she got a small silver device fitted that acted as a perception filter to onlookers. So all everyone else saw was her cute little round human ears. Touching the back of her ears she felt the device still there, not turned on, not for a while. But even with it off these past years, she'd always subconsciously been covering her ears, she'd never wear her hair up enough to the point theyd be fully on show. She tried to kid herself saying that turning it off was a step to accepting her 'deformity' while she lived in yorktown. But it was a lie, if anything it had inhibited her freedom in ways because she had still hid them out of fear of being asked questions she wouldn't be able to answer. Even as a fully qualified doctor she'd never even thought to question what was given to her as a fact and ingrained in her since birth. Something meant to protect her from judgement and ridicule, something done with the best intentions at heart, but with un known consequences when everything came to light.

"Who am I?" Alex asked fresh tears forming in her eyes as she spoke the question aloud.

"Ace, you're who you've always been, this doesn't change anything."

Alex felt molten anger rise in her chest as she stared back at the man who raised her looking at her with regret in his eyes and a good dose of guilt. "It changes everything!" She screamed at him. "Why didn't you tell me! Why didn't Chris tell me!" She cried, angry tears streaming down her face now as she shook.

Arthur sighed looking up with guilt. "He tried… he gave me an envelope to give to you on your 18th birthday, one of the birthdays he just couldn't manage to get any time off on to come see you, he gave me this look when he handed it over and I just knew. I knew he'd put something in the envelope to tell you. I opened it and it was a holo tape, I couldn't give you it. I couldn't ruin your 18th birthday like that- I told myself it wasn't the right time, that I'd do it after but-"

"It was never going to be the right time dad, thats the thing with some things in life the timings never fucking right! It doesn't mean you hide away from things like a fucking coward!" She dropped the padd on the bed as she paced her room hearing the voice pleading with her to calm down and talk through this and whatever else he was saying. "Dont tell me to calm down I have every right to be livid, you lied to me for 28 years! You had your upset little girl and your understanding daughter at the start of this call but it doesn't mean im not fucking pissed. I'm well beyond that."

"Alex please try and calm down I don't want you to hurt yourself, you're allowed to be angry, I understand that." Arthur pleaded with her a frown of concern etched on his face as he saw her, fist clenched and shaking pacing across his screen.

"Understand?! You understand? Well that's good maybe you can understand how fucked it is that you kept your daughters heritage and fucking species hidden from everyone including her just to avoid a little stigma. Because it's fucked! Its pathetic!" Alex shouted as she punched her bathroom door with such unimaginable force she watched the metal curve into a dent in what felt like slow motion before she stopped dead. Her breath catching in her throat as she froze and felt herself turn cold with shock. She just stood there and stared at the fist sized dent and how deep it was as she backed herself up till she was against the wall, a hollow feeling filling her from her gut as she just stared. Sinking down the wall she started sobbing hearing her name called from the padd still on the bed she looked up to the ceiling in defeat. "Computer end video call."

There was a brief beep and then she was left in almost silence, the hum of the ship comforting her as she cried, curling into herself she pulled her knees up to her chest. If only Gary was here, or Chris- they'd know what to say. Gaz would tell her straight, he'd be angry for her and be pacing the room before pulling her into a hug and crying with her. Probably apologising that he didn't realise sooner, then he'd suggest they get drunk, which would be a welcome distraction at the moment. Chris would be half in starfleet mode ready to deal with any backlash and half in protective dad mode even though he wasn't related to her by blood. She just felt so alone in all of this it was nye on unbearable.

Leonard stumbled slightly as he entered the turbo lift holding a hand to his head as it throbbed, he'd never felt anything like it in his life, is this what migraines felt like? He couldn't see straight, he was getting weird pulses in his vision that were making him feel a bit nauseous at this point and he didn't even register that he was in the lift with someone as he leaned heavily against the wall breathing a little erratic as he closed his eyes and attempted to massage his temples.

"Leonard… are you well?" A familiar voice boomed next to him making him wince and cover his ears.

"M'fine, no need to shout s'just a bad headache, hurts like hell-" Leonard winced again as he almost lost balance while stood stationary causing him to jerk his entire body to stay upright.

"I'm escorting you to medbay this is not something you experience frequently and is therefore cause for concern. As Jim would say, its better to be safe than sorry. I presume Dr reid will be able to find you some suitable painkillers?"

Leonard squinted up at the source of the voice struggling to focus through the pain before he even recognised the man he was talking with. "Spock i didn't realise- t's you, nd no- Alex finished early, we had a disagreement, haven't seen her f'r over 2 hours." Leonard slurred with pain as he covered his eyes to reply to the Vulcan.

"I do hope the pain you're experiencing isn't linked to your disagreement. Leonard- keep your eyes closed sensory overload does nothing to help any type of head pain, advice i have heard yourself give often enough." Spock spoke sternly despite his low volume and threw Leonards arm over his shoulder as the lift doors pinged open.

"I hope it's not either Spock. C'nya check on Alex for me- if ya have the time later-"

"I can. Now stop talking until we get to medbay."

Spock frowned as he walked down the corridors, he'd never seen Leonard in so much pain with what humans called a headache before. Thankfully it had seemed to help when the painkillers were administered but it didnt get rid of it completely. Spock now paced down one of the many corridors that held the crews quarters, eyes focused on a specific door with each step. Standing outside of the white door Spock paused, a strange nagging feeling telling him this wasn't a good time.

Glancing down the corridor seeing nobody in either direction Spock placed the palm of his hand against the cold surface of the door and closed his eyes. A conflict of emotions seeping into him through the cool metal.

Anger, sadness, conflict, fear, but most of all loneliness.

Spock paused as he took his hand from the door before he instructed the computer to announce his presence. A meek voice met his ears as the doors opened from her command and Spock was greeted to a sight that alarmed him greatly. Only under the butchering of Lyras and the use of a relaxant had Spock ever seen the ships doctor look so disheveled and confused, for a moment panic shot through him thinking perhaps the Vulcan had escaped, but he knew it couldn't be true as he had checked the status of the brig and that particular inmate with the computer, just before leaving the med bay.

"Hi Spock." Alex's voice was small, quiet as she spoke and offered the man a tired smile. "I just need some time I'll be fine, don't look so shocked. Not been great at shutting my negative feelings down recently."

"Alex…" Spock spoke before he looked from the woman on the ground to the duvet on her bed. Jim had recently told him if a human was sad it often helped if they were comfortable and slightly hidden while in company, a blanket being an ideal item to cover ones body. Spock walked towards the bed with intent, carefully dragging the duvet off the bed and heading towards the red head carefully putting the bulk of it behind her as he brought the rest to wrap around her front, the woman now just a floating face in a heap of material. He hoped it atleast helped her feel more secure and safe while in a vulnerable state despite how illogical it looked. "I will sit with you, you don't have to say anything but I will be here if you wish to talk."

Alex let out a sigh, not one of exasperation but a grateful one as she looked up at Spock like he was a curiosity. "Spock its 10, Its-"

"The time is irrelevant, what is important is that you know you are not alone." Spock didn't look at her as he spoke and in a way she was thankful as a fresh tear found its way out before she squinted her eyes shut tight. Pulling the duvet around her a little tighter grateful for its comfort as she leaned her head against Spocks shoulder.

Thankyou.

"I dented my bathroom door with my bare hand." She had no idea why she said it like that it just slipped out and she tensed slightly as Spock looked up.

"They are rather flimsy in comparison to the other doors on the ship, i dare say it deserved it." Spock drawled out in his usual tone. Unable to stop himself from joining the doctor as she started laughing slowly, unable to stop as she gradually began shaking with laughter. Spock's own laugh was deep compared to his voice, a deep hearty sound that had a steadiness to it, and the sound helped fill that dull pain of loneliness as much as the mans presence did while he was there with her. "Hey Spock, do you wanna hear the story how Pike absolutely refused to chop onions unless he was wearing swimming goggles?"

"Pike? Christopher Pike?"

"Of course."

Spock paused as he looked at the doctor with multiple questions on the tip of his tongue, his curiosity peaked despite the absurdity of her claim. "... I do."

Jim frowned as the light from the corridor poured into his room as his door opened and a perfectly postured silhouette walked in. Not surprised to see Jim in bed with his face half crushed into the pillow in the slightest. "S'hpok?" Jim mumbled into the pillow as he watched the shadow shifting around getting undressed in the ridiculously dim light supplied by Jims small bedside lamp.

"Apologies Jim, I encountered multiple people in varying states of distress after leaving the bridge."

Jim sleepily quirked a brow up turning on his side to try and encourage his sleep riddled brain to pay attention and sound relatively awake at the very least. "Everyone okay now though?" Concern laced Jims voice despite him not knowing who Spock was talking about.

"I believe so for now atleast, also you will need Scotty to place an order for a new bathroom door, crews quarters spec, a small accident occurred and resulted in the door being dented."

"M'kay Spock as long as t'was only a small accident, remind me in the morning about putting that order in. What happened, experiment go wrong or something?" Jim yawned closing his eyes as he felt Spock slip into bed behind him.

"No, Dr Reid dented the door with her fist after a small lapse in emotional control."

Jim opened his eyes and stared at the wall he was facing with squinted eyes before turning in Spocks arms with a perplexed look on his face. "She dented- with her fist- what?"

"I will explain further in the morning, I believe it may have been due to her contacting her farther rather than anything the crew has done."

"Nd by the crew you mean Bones don't you." Jim sighed with a short chuckle as he pinched the bridge of his nose with a small smirk.

"Indeed."

"Fill me in on what you know tomorrow, how bads that dent? And was Alex feeling a bit better after you left?" Jim frowned concern back in an instant as his tired brain made his sentence come out at a snails pace compared to usual.

"The door will still open to approximately half way, and I believe she felt better after having company, I employed your suggestion of a blanket as a comfort item, the duvet seemed to help somewhat. However we can continue this conversation at another time." Spock nuzzled his face into the back of Jims neck and placed a barely there kiss at the top of the blonds spine.

"Sure sure, just admit you're tired Spock I won't hold it against you." Jim chuckled lowly as he squeezed spock's hand where their fingers were linked around Jims waist.

"I am in need of rest yes, and you cannot hold anything against me from this position as I am holding you against myself." Spock mumbled into the back of Jims shoulder blades as the blonde chuckled again with a small smile quirking at his lips.

"Smart ass." Jim quipped as he pushed his head back into his pillow fully shuffling himself till her was flush against Spocks front feeling the cotton of the mans pajama bottoms against his own bare legs and the hot skin of his chest pressed against his back made him hum in appreciation.

Leonard could feel the tension in the med bay these past couple of days. He'd apologised to Alex for flipping out in person he'd had to call her into his office in the end and he'd give her that, the woman had listened, but he just felt like she wasn't entirely sure he meant it and there was this stiff half relaxed half on edge atmosphere that was impossible to describe. It was entirely too awkward for them to work together without being hyper aware of the other, and Leonard did feel bad, but he couldn't think of anything else he could do for the woman at present so resorted to letting it run its course and simmer down naturally. Not try to force it. It seemed to be working slowly for both of them.

He'd asked Spock how she was and found out all he needed to know from the man and was intent on asking Alex how she was after their shift was over if he could get the woman to stay in one place for any period of time. He knew mostly it was out of her control, with the trial still ongoing and Lyras officially being transferred to the Vulcan high courts holding cells as opposed to the ship's brig. Which felt amazing in an odd way to get the man off the damn ship even if Leonard couldn't recall anything of the incident he was involved in. He just knew that the last time he was in the brig checking on the man's wellbeing his skin was crawling and he couldn't shake this wound up tight tension out of his limbs from just one glance at the Vulcan. Something about him just felt wrong.

Leonard was snapped from his thoughts as a tanned hand tapped his desk next to the data padd he was staring at aimlessly, looking up he was greeted by a grinning red shirt. Who Leonard couldn't help but think seemed far too happy to be there.

"Here for my physical Doctor." The woman spoke flipping her sleek black hair over one shoulder while clutching some sort of magazine in the other.

Leonard couldn't help the perplexed look as he sat in his office at his private desk. Yes the door had been left open but he hadn't heard her come in and everyone of his staff knew he didn't see patients in his office for something as simple as a routine physical which meant this overly eager engineer had let herself in.

"Right… Just for future reference I don't do routine physicals in my office, if you inform one of the nurses when you come in you'll be taken to a private examination room. But no harm done, follow me."

"Of course. Sorry I thought I was late so I got a little ahead of myself."

Leonard gave her a small chuckle as he stood up waving her off "Wish the rest of the crew were as eager to be punctual to their physicals as you are, it'd save me having to track people down."

"And by the rest of the crew you mean…" she trailed off, arms crossed over her chest now magazine pressed firmly into herself like a lifeline.

"The captain mostly believe it or not." Leonard commented as he walked ahead of her and out of his office.

"Oh right, i thought for a second you were going to say Doctor Reid… or Mr Spock."

Leonard frowned to himself at her tone as they pushed through the door into another private room. What a strange thing to say, it seemed far too focused for small talk but he wouldn't look too much into it. Might just be more nervous than she'd let on to start with about having her physical.

"Commander Spock can be pretty forgetful with his routine physicals as well i'll admit, not sure about Dr Reid though as I don't do her physical exams." It was the god honest truth and he hoped for the love of God that was all that he'd have to say on the topic of other patients and crew members. He didn't much like patients that liked to gossip in that sense. Especially ones that seemed like they were digging. "Sit yourself on that biobed for me." Leonard said as he picked up his tricorder and started calibrating it while looking up the woman's file after checking his appointment list for today. "Sasha Gonzalez, am I right?" He quirked a brow at the woman as he glanced over at her and she nodded.

"I guess that makes sense actually you not being allowed to do Doctor Reids physicals what with the two of you dating and all." Sasha spoke nonchalantly trying to pass of her remark as a throw away comment but Leonard was already frowning at the wall, his back turned to the woman as he fiddled with the tricorder and his eye twitched in mild annoyance. Does she have some sort of problem with Alex? What's the issue with me performing a check up on someone i'm dating? Right, gotta act natural everyone on the ship still thinks things are hunky dory and I have all my memories.

"No I can still perform check ups on her if necessary she's just always been with Chapel since joining the enterprise when it comes to routine physicals, I hope you aren't suggesting i'm anything but professional, my relationship with Dr Reid doesn't change my duty of care to her if she needed a doctor." Leonard put on his best warning voice and was momentarily thrown off by the laugh that came from the short tanned woman sat on the biobed.

"Of course i wasn't suggesting that, you're a good Doctor, hell you're the cmo, I'd just be concerned about Doctor Reid perhaps not being the best professional, she does have a tendency to flirt a lot after all, could almost seem like she's taken advantage of you especially if she's ever asked you to perform a physical exam on her." Shasha mused swinging her legs with a glint of something in her eyes that Leonard could only describe as predatory. "I've never known another doctor to have modeled underwear before so it makes you wonder really if she's not just trying to seduce every man around her."

"What are you talking about." Leonard bit out. His anger steadily rising the more this woman spoke, every other word out of her mouth was twisted in a way to put another woman down, trying to cause distrust in him towards Doctor Reid. It almost seemed as if she was completely crazy or jealous. Well the two often went hand in hand but this was something else. She was talking as if she believed every word she said. As if she was better, it was almost like she was trying to sell herself as the better woman but to who?

Sasha pulled the magazine open and lazily flicked through the pages till she stopped on a double page spread and flipped it in her hands to face Leonard. Leonard glanced down confirming it was in fact Alex before his eyes pinned on the smirking woman sat on his biobed, he was trying his vest to keep his expression blank but one more word and he was going to lose it. And from the look on his patient's face she clearly couldn't read the room or him at all for that matter because she decided to continue.

"You really want to be dating a woman like that when there's good women like me on the ship."

Leonards first thought was that this was something out of a movie, straight up un believable. Couldn't be happening. His next thought became a cold command.

"Get out."

She looked shocked at his tone or his comment he didn't care "Wha-"

She didn't move though. "I said get out." Leonard stepped forward and ripped the magazine from her hands. "I'm having your file and physicals transferred over to M'benga. Out. Now." Leonard practically growled as she finally hopped off the biobed and ran to the door turning as she got half way through it to look back at him as he stormed out close behind.

"You really have no self respect do you Doctor Mccoy!" She hissed as she continued to back pedal.

"No, i'm not the one that has no self respect here, you come into my office without prior permission, you accost me in my own med bay over my personal affairs, you put down a member of my staff out of jealousy in some pathetic attempt to make yourself look better? Did you think i prefer my women bitter and jealous?" Leonard continued walking forward the magazine gripped in his hands so tightly his knuckles were turning white.

"Mccoy-" Christine tried as she put her hand out to keep him from walking any closer to the now taken aback but still angry ensign.

"How can you say she has self respect! how can you say you do after seeing what you've just seen!"

"God forbid a woman be comfortable in her own damn skin, and have some self confidence. Someone call M'benga this ensign needs a brain scan- get her out of here." Leonard hissed as he turned away, storming to his desk in the middle of med bay ignoring the woman shouting as security pulled her out of the room. "God damn woman living in the stone age, who tries to come onto someone by putting someone else down?" Leonard grumbled as Christine and Alex came to stand by him with concern etched on their faces.

"She tried to come onto you?" Christine questioned with a brow raise.

"I think that was what she was aiming for though I don't care for her technique. Here, she tried to use that to-, I don't even know to be honest, make herself look better? Make you look bad? Whatever." Leonard handed Alex the magazine and watched the woman frown before realisation dawned on her face and she started laughing putting her hand up to her mouth quaintly.

"She must have gone out of her way to find a copy of this its years old, and the fact she used to try and turn you against me is- laughable. I hardly look bad and the shoot helped me buy a lot of textbooks. I don't get it it's just a women's magazine it's not like its a porn mag?" Alex snorted handing the magazine over to Christine and her curious brow raise. Watching the 47 year old blonde light up at the magazine.

"I used to read these, had a mix of everything and didn't just stick to overly girly topics at all times always had a clothing section at the back as well." Christine commented turning the pages slowly with a fondness.

"Page 14." Alex added glancing over as Christine skipped ahead and opened the mag to the double page spread. And with that the tension from Leonards shoulders had gone as the two women beside him calmed the anger in his gut with their now relaxed stances and light conversation.

"Ooooo I can't believe you got to model for them. I'm so jealous! they always had such nice underwear and I could never justify spending that much money on myself. The baby blue looks lovely on you here." Christine commented and Leonard looked down at the particular picture in question seeing the same red head standing at his side in baby blue lace lingerie half perched on what looked like a white windowsill leaning very slightly forward with a stunning grin on her face that had to be there from laughter. Though he did hone in on her face at first he did let his eyes wander.

"The blue is nice…" Leonard murmured to himself forgetting momentarily that he had two women stood at either side of him which both promptly turned to face him with smug smirks. "What? -I said that out loud didn't I?" Leonard sighed as Christine giggled beside him.

"Yup you did, why don't you keep the magazine doc, get some inspiration to buy the special woman in your life some sexy lingerie." Alex winked at him, taking the magazine from Christine as she handed it back and slapping it against Leonards chest with a wicked look in her eyes.

"And what women in my life would that be?" Leonard asked quietly, quivering a brow up at Alex with a challenge in his eyes.

"The one you'd like to see wearing the lingerie I'd hope." Alex rolled her eyes playfully as Leonard chuckled them both turning slightly as Christine walked away making a bee line for a patient.

Leonard stepped closer, his hand leaning on the desk. Behind where Alex was perched as his hip knocked the edge and he lowered his voice so only she could hear. "Hey, are you okay?"

Alex looked up at him then a little shell shocked. "I- I think so, good as I can be. Are you? I'm sorry if I've been a jerk recently you don't deserve it must be an absolute nightmare losing time like you have." She sighed out. "Thanks for defending me by the way you really didn't need to do that."

Leonard frowned. "Of course i did. Who the hell is she to judge what you've done in your past or judge you at all. Hell I think it's great- that you had the confidence too, not the photos themselves although they're pretty good too-" Leonard stopped his quiet rambling as he felt a gentle pressure on his cheek and looked to his side to realise she must have kissed him. The smile she was wearing innocent and light as she looked up at him. The warmth from her look made a smile spread across his face as well.

"Thanks. And for the record you don't have to be worried about saying something 'wrong' around me, i'm not going to bite your head off for saying what's on your mind. I wouldn't kick off even if you slapped my ass by accident either just an fyi." Alex whispered whilst tactfully looking around the room glancing up to see Leonards scowl.

"Who told you. It was muscle memory alright and I stopped myself." Leonard pointed a finger at her accusingly despite the fact he was trying to defend himself.

"Jim."

"Course it was Jim, him and that hobgoblin have it out for me I swear." Leonard shook his head in annoyance.

"Hey you wanna meet up for supper later? I'm due on planet for a couple of hours with the trial ongoing still but i'm free after." Alex practically sang and she stood up straighter with a cheesy smile on her face that Leonard couldn't say no too.

"Yea sure, i'll meet you on planet, be nice to feel my feet on solid ground for a little while."

"Great!"

"Hey Ace…" Leonard scurried back over to the woman who looked a bit confused at his sudden concern. "Do you want me to come to any of the upcoming dates in court or? Because I will, as moral support, you just gotta ask and I'll be there-"

"That's-" Alex started rather taken aback by the whispered question. "That's really thoughtful of you but i'll have to think about it. It's a bit tense in there, and it kind of gets in the way of certain shifts in here." She motioned around the med bay with one hand before pushing her lips together in a tight line with a thoughtful look on her face. "Maybe."

"Alright, well just let me know. Now I gotta make a call to Jim about our asshole engineer, can you be a doll and take over with Ensign Davies in biobed 7 for me for a few minutes?" Leonard asked in an innocent drawl as he looked down at his padd.

"Of course, Chief." Alex smiled sweetly, walking over to the patient with a smirk Leonard couldn't see, just as blood unwillingly raced south and the mans' eyebrows met his hairline in surprise. That better not be what she meant in her messages when she said the word was unsavoury I swear i'll- Devil woman.
