Chapter-3: A nice reunion

Time: Same as the previous chapter.

Percy's POV:

I looked at the pathetic excuse of a human being in disgust, over the years I had dreamed of some pretty horrific punishments for my step-father just in case he steps out of the line but now that he had done it I hesitated for a second, 'why you may ask?' simple it goes against everything my mother has taught me so far my mother wanted me to be a kind, soft spoken and gentle soul I tried to I really did but I dare you try and be kind towards someone who hits people with whips just for the sake of entertainment, I don't know why but as much I tried to, I always had this sense of justice that didn't allow me to be partial. For now I pushed it aside, my internal struggle can wait I have a promise to keep and what better way to punish him than giving him a taste of his own medicine. I will make him feel what he did to me, I began punching the shit out of the pig in the exact way he did to me I started by punching him in the ribs before sending an uppercut, I made sure to break every bone in his body but didn't kill him ... yet. I took a knife in the kitchen and made shallow cuts all over his body deep enough to draw blood but not enough to kill him quickly and now for the finishing blow I tore away his pants and held the knife to his dick Gabe's eyes widened in fear as he understood what I was about to do, he was thrashing wildly ever since I started but he couldn't break the bonds, I smirked enjoying his struggle a voice in the back of my head that sounded suspiciously like my mom whispered to end this quickly so I castrated him agonizingly slow I held the disgusting thing with the knife and showed in down his down throat. I watched as he died due to suffocation, I dropped the bonds and fell to my knees now you may be thinking how I did the whole water control thing I don't know one day Gabe hit me near the bathroom with a broken beer bottle right above my left eye my vision swam I couldn't see anything but out of sheer luck I stumbled into the bathroom and splashed some water on my face and then the magic happened all my wounds healed old and new but the scar remained my eyebrow was cut in half vertically. To me it looked pretty much badass, since then I have been experimenting with water I don't know how I got this power but I'm really happy I did. Back to the point I felt a sharp pain on my chest it felt like my heart was pounding I could feel my pulse rising and rising I gasped feeling suffocated I don't know what was happening or why I'm feeling like this tears streamed down my face I couldn't see/ hear properly I fell on my back sure that I was dying but it all stopped suddenly all I could was a flash of black and I promptly blacked out.

Third Person POV:

A flash of darkness lit up the interiors of the Jackson's residence a being of massive stature emerged from the flash, it was a tall man easily about 6 feet with creamy white skin that appeared to have not seen sunlight in a very long time and shoulder length pitch black hair despite his massively imposing stature the being brought serenity with his mere presence the man inspected the household with concern he waved his hand and Gabe's body disappeared before rushing to the unconscious child on the floor not very far from him, he cradled the child in his arms and spoke a string of words in a language that appeared to be Ancient Greek all the while gently pouring a vial of golden liquid down his throat. He only stopped when he felt the boy's pulse stabilize, breathing a sigh of relief the man carried Percy in his arms to meet the child's mother Sally Jackson after a long and tiring explanation of his identity and clearing the distraught mother's concerns he vanished along with the boy in a swirl of black flames.

Time Skip Two hours after:

Percy woke with a massive headache in a dimly lit room, immediately his senses went on high alert he sat bolt upright on a bed... wait a minute bed he looked around the modestly decorated room it was big, the room alone was at least half the size of the flat they live in he noticed there was a table right beside the bed he is sitting he found a plate filled with some fruits and a tall glass of water he drank the water happily thankful to whoever put it there. He also found a note beneath the glass addressed to him it read,

Dear Perseus,

I hope you are well enough to walk by time you read this note, I know you are a little wary of who I am or why I have brought you here so please come out of the room and take the stairs to your left you will find a guide who will bring you to me. I promise to answer all your questions and I mean no harm to you.

Yours Sincerely,

You will know my name later :)

Huh 'that's gotta be the weirdest note I've read in a while maybe all time weirdest'. Well "let's get going" he muttered before following the instructions. He soon found himself face to face with a human so thin he almost looked like a skeleton he got jittery the moment he saw the guy so stammered out "uh h-hello Sir ca-can you please take me to your boss?" The man gave no indication of hearing him except a nod 'oookay that's seriously creepy'. He followed the guy mentally debating his sanity in following some stranger's instructions but in the end he concluded that whoever kidnapped him could have killed him in his sleep which he/she didn't do so he didn't they were a bad person yet. [A/N: The scenery depicted here is similar to the night sky] After a long walk in courtyards flanked by oak trees and fountains he finally reached a building that could put a Disney castle to shame.

'Awesome' was the only thing the young boy could think the palace itself was decorated with almost every kind of precious metal he could think of, it seemed there was no ceiling to this building. Percy wasn't much of a fan for architecture but even he could say the building was impressive it seemed to be colored in obsidian black with elegant inputs of Platinum/ Silver and Gold. He figured whoever owned this thing must be seriously rich. The entrance was a massive bronze double door 'Is there anything in this building that isn't made with metal' the doors opened to reveal the interior of the room of course the room isn't the right word to describe it the place could easily fit a half of the football stadium, it was decorated with beautiful tapestries depicting the inventions of human beings such as the Pyramids, steam engine etc while some of them were also quite horrific yet beautiful like the World wars, African famines etc. The floor was smooth granite with sculptures of famous people like Abraham Lincoln here and there. But what got his attention was a man wearing a Brown blazer with a black dress shirt and suit pant to complete the look he wore brown light tan driving shoes but that wasn't the weird thing he was at least 25 feet tall from what he could see he was around 32 years old with a fitting grayish black beard, the man had pitch black eyes and hair with creamy white skin all in all he looked exactly what a successful businessman/ statesman would look like bold, confident, seriously handsome and intelligent. But what made him different in Percy's opinion was the kind smile gracing his ageless face. Percy blushed in embarrassment that he had been staring for about five minutes what was even more mortifying was that it took the man's loud chuckles to bring him out of his reverie. But this seemingly didn't matter to him as man in black gestured for Percy to step forward, though Percy still felt a little awkward and insecure with how he's in some unknown place with an unknown person as soon as he reached the man Percy found he was sitting on chair... no throne it was a simple black throne with pictures of gold mines and scenes of death, destruction it looked deadly (A/n: No pun intended) and majestic when he was still busy inspecting the throne in wondered the man addressed him "Hello, child I hope you are feeling well and I presume you have many questions to ask so go on I will try to answer them as much as I can" he said and ask questions he did "Who you are you? Where am I? Why did you bring me here?", "Okay okay slow down kiddo one at a time and to your first question... I am your uncle" the man exclaimed happily. 'Wait what' "B-but my mom doesn't have siblings" Percy stuttered, the now identified uncle simply left his throne like chair and shrank down quite literally to a human size now he about 6'3 he gently laid a hand on the freaked out boy's shoulder saying "Relax Perseus, yes your mother had no siblings but..." he paused like he wasn't sure whether he should say it or not "But your father has and I am your father's eldest brother" he added with a small smile in the end. Percy really lost track of how many times he had been stunned today "B-but if you are my dad's brother then why didn't you visit me before today" he asked skeptically I mean sure Percy was happy to see a relative for a change but you can't expect him trust them blindly. At this his uncle's expression darkened but he composed himself quickly "Perseus what do you know of Greek Mythology" he asked with a grave expression on his face, Percy didn't know why that was relevant at all but he decided to humor his uncle "Um there are Gods, Titans and heroes like ugh Rhea, Hestia, Hera, Hades and Perseus I guess" he said he noticed the way his uncles face lit up when Percy said the God of Dead's name in admiration it was true really the God Hades was little Percy's role model his mother read him stories about the great God helping heroes like Perseus(the original one) and Theseus even when Theseus tried to abduct Lady Persephone, actually part of the reason why Percy has a strong sense of justice is this he always wanted to be like that kind and comforting to those who deserved it but Merciless and terrifying to those who didn't. "Well Perseus, I really hope there's a better way of putting it but there isn't so I will just be a little blunt he took a deep breath before saying they are real". He closed his eyes like he was expecting an outburst or something but all Percy was... happiness, "Come again" he asked hoping that he didn't hear wrong so his uncle repeated "They are true all of the myths and stories they are true" Percy jumped in happiness and did a little victory dance saying "Yay I'm not crazy" all over again the man was... understandably confused no he was very much stunned but managed to say "What?" to which the boy stopped dancing "Oh um yeah uh sorry about that it's just good to know I'm not crazy" he admitted a little sheepishly Percy's uncle just smiled at his nephews antics but then he got a thoughtful frown before asking "How did you just believe everything I said, I mean aren't you supposed be a little skeptical trusting a stranger" he asked raising an eyebrow for emphasis now it was Percy's turn to laugh "Okay One: You're not a stranger not exactly and two: If you had any ill intention I wouldn't be here and three: You were a giant guy not so long ago so yeah I have a pretty solid reason to believe you" he said the boy's wisdom at such a young age surprised the man he could definitely tell Percy had a good resemblance to him in many ways. "So which God/ Titan are you uncle" he asked curiously at this the man's demeanor darkened again for the first time since Percy arrived here his uncle appeared to be... nervous, bitter and angry for some reason but again he quickly composed himself and asked softly "Why don't you try and guess my identity young one?", 'Hmm is it just me or did he sound really hopeful ah never mind so who could my uncle be' Percy thought back to the previous conversations 'my uncle, eldest brother of my dad and wait a minute he seemed happy when I said the name H... Aww man' he thought so that's why the place looked like this he turned back to his uncle and said "You are Lord Hades, God of the Underworld, Dead, Shadows, Fear, Punishment and Riches" in an awe filled voice. The now identified Hades nodded "Yes, I am". He said simply though Percy could see he was a little sad, he didn't know why "But Uncle, You are so... so AWESOME, wow" Percy exclaimed happily he was really excited to be related to the Lord Hades, now he could finally meet his role model but Hades on the other hand was confused "Yes but why are you not running away, don't you think I am a Monster" he asked turning his head away a little, Percy couldn't understand why his uncle was sad so he did what he would do for his mother when she was sad he hugged Hades. The lord of dead stiffened at the feeling he turned back to see the little boy looking at him with such awe and adoration that it warmed his long frozen heart he felt even more happiness when he said "Uncle, I don't think you are a monster I think you are a very strong man to stand all that hate and still do your duty properly, I think you are a kind man who is just misunderstood, one who is forced to act differently and no I'm not afraid of you. You are my role model my mentor I-I always wanted to be like you to always do the right thing like you do, because in the end it doesn't matter what they think it only matters what we do" Percy finished quite seriously and passionately he still didn't get why his uncle would think like that. Hades had never felt more touched in his life, Percy's words brought tears to eyes, Percy looked up to see his uncle tearing up but all that fell from his eyes were a single drop of iron tears from both eyes which he wiped away. "Percy, I can't really tell you how... how grateful I am, Thank you, Thank you for making me feel better." He said sincerely Percy smiled so brightly it nearly lit up the slightly dark room they were in "It's Ok uncle, mom always says that it's ok to feel bad sometimes that it shows we care and we are human" he said Hades smiled Percy was indeed proving to be very wise. "So um uncle who's my dad" he asked a little nervously he had a pretty good guess to who it is but he wanted confirmation, as soon as Percy asked that question The dark God's eyes lit up with black hellish fire but he calmed down instantly when he noticed Percy looking at him worriedly he schooled his expression quickly and said "Sorry about that it's just that I...hate it when the other gods have their flings and don't care about their children it... enrages me a lot" he took a relaxing breath to calm himself down and spoke "Then again, I believe you know all about those... unpleasant matters and your father is well as you might have suspected it seeing as you know of powers, your father is Poseidon" Hades was now waiting for the boy's reaction this alone would be the final factor he would judge in Perseus for now. For some reason Percy looked really mad now "So I am the son of an Olympian and he couldn't bother to visit my mom and me not once before" he growled "WHY? Because he's done with my mom, because he doesn't care about anything else but his conquest" he spat in the end he muttered "I hate rapists". In the end of Percy's rant Hades felt really sorry for his nephew he didn't deserve this after all his young soul has been through, he silently vowed on his name that he would never abandon him... 'No I will not fail again not like the last time'. He gently hugged Percy and asked "Percy do you truly hate you Sire?" all he got was nod "So I know you are... hurt and I think I have a solution but only if you'll accept that is" now Percy was curious "What is it Uncle H" he asked "Will you allow me to be your father, I promise on the River Styx to never abandon you and always try my best to be your father should you accept" Percy was stupefied he didn't need to think much on it he nodded and said "Yes, yes, I accept" Thunder struck sealing the deal even in the Underworld it was clearly heard. Hades gave Percy a huge smile one that Percy was sure not many have seen, he hugged Percy tightly and said "Thank you son, Thank you so much I- I can't really tell you how much this means to me" to which Percy gave back a teary smile and now "I Hades, Eldest Son of Kronos and Rhea, hereby adopt Perseus Achilles Jackson as my own son, May the fates bear witness as I my Ichor flows through his veins" at the end the Lord of Dead was wearing Ceremonial Robes wearing his Helm of Darkness. Three flashes of White lightning were seen throughout the Underworld, the adoption was now complete. Hades reverted back to his previous look and smiled at Percy who was now the happiest he had ever been after hugging one last time the father and son looked at each other with matching smiles on their faces. "Now we begin" Hades announced mischievously "what?" Percy asked confused "Your training of course" Hades replied smirking as his son groaned.
