Before Ratchet and Rivet part ways, they join at Rivet's hideout. But Nefarious somehow survives and returns to Rivet's dimension. He traps them and takes them as captives while re-declaring himself emperor. Now he hopes to find the location of the rest of the rebels from Rivet. But when she doesn't talk, he uses Ratchet to make her. Can they escape and dethrone Nefarious... again.

Ratchet and Rivet now lived together in his dimension as a happy and unbreakable couple in Megalopolis with their friends Clank and Kit. Much time has passed since the hunt on the dwarf planet, but new trouble is brewing. A criminal needs their help to bring down the large organization for which he worked. Can the lombaxes trust the gangster?
