Hello Nurse, Scratchansniff, and Brain wasted no time finding their way to the laboratory. As they were afraid of running into more failed experiments, they didn't stop sprinting until they had made it to a large steel door.

"1930." Brain repeated, "Thank heavens that pigeon found out the code."

As Hello Nurse punched in the code, she said in a melancholy tone, "Oh Pesto... I hope he's okay."

Scratchansniff shook his head, "I don't know... He looked badly beat up when we last saw him."

The door opened. Before them was the laboratory where they had confronted the Warners and barely escaped with their lives. It was... Strangely quiet. The only sounds were whirring machines and sparking Tesla coils.

"Where are they?" Brain demanded, looking around, "Yakko couldn't have gotten far. He just spoke to us on that intercom."

They searched around, staying close to one another. Everything seemed deserted and eeriely quiet. There were no signs of the Warners, or even a half-toon.

That was, until Scratchansniff screamed and pointed out at something towards the back wall. Within a sinister looking machine was a... Toon? It was an unknown, Warner sibling-like toon wearing a navy blazer and blue shorts. If it was possible for a toon to look close to death, this one certainly looked that way. His face and body were wrinkled and almost appeared dried and crumbling. The table he was strapped to was stained with gushes of pitch black, dark red, and bright blue; ink, human blood, and Warnerium. His face was a mask of pain and trauma: a thousand yard stare with no reaction but absolute terror and suffering.

"Oh mein Gott!!" Scratchansniff screamed, "Who...?! Who is that?!"

"He's hurting!" Hello Nurse said as she rushed over to him, "Help me get him out!"

The two pressed every button and pulled every lever to see if they could release the imprisoned toon. Eventually, Scratchansniff found a lever that released the clamps on the toon. He fell to the floor, more of the fluids gushing forth from his body and on to the floor. He let out a weak, barely audible groan and a wheezing cough.

"Mister?! Are you okay?!" Hello Nurse asked as she flipped him over on his back.

The toon gave a wheezing gasp as he tried to answer. Brain had been watching the whole thing from the table and seemed confused. His eyes widened as he noticed the stitches and single human eye of the toon on the floor.

"He's a half-toon!" The mouse gasped, "Why... He looks almost completely like a toon!"

The half-toon coughed, hacking up more fluids on to the floor. In between the coughs he managed to spit out a weak "Thank you... For... Releasing me...!"

Before their very eyes, the half-toon's many puncture wounds inflicted on him by the machine seemed to slowly close up and heal. His colors seemed to restore. He was healing right in front of them.

"He's a half-toon?" Hello Nurse asked, "That means he must have been someone before the Warners got their hands on him. Sir, what's your name?"

The half-toon gasped and shook, "I... You... You look... Who are you? I... I know you..."

Hello Nurse seemed taken aback by this. It was someone who had perhaps worked with her long ago? The voice sounded... Familiar. Very familiar.

"I'm... I'm Thaddeus Plotz." He said, before looking down at his body with tears in his eyes, "Or... At least I used to be... Before... This."

"Mr. Plotz?!" Scratchansniff gasped, "But...! But!! How can that be?!"

Plotz was shaking uncontrollably, whether from the torture he had endured or pure anxiety, it wasn't clear, "I... Those kids... They took everything from me. They used me. They took my body... They're insane."

"What exactly were they doing to you?" Brain asked from the table, "That machine... It seemed to be stealing your bodily fluids."

Plotz shook his head, a panicked look forming in his eyes, "I can't... Don't...! Don't make me talk about that horrid thing!!"

Hello Nurse shook her head, "He's in shock. What in the world were they doing to him?"

"I don't think I want to know..." Scratchansniff wrung his hands worriedly.

"Thaddeus, can you at least tell us where the Warners are?" Hello Nurse asked him in a gentle voice.

Plotz trembled, holding his knees close to is body, "I... I... I'm not sure... Last I can remember..." He pointed across the room to an open door, "That kid in the lab coat went in there... He... Hasn't come back out."

Hello Nurse exchanged worried glances with Scratchansniff and Brain.

"I'll go investigate." Hello Nurse volunteered, "You both stay here with Thaddeus."

She stood up and crept to the open door. She carefully peeked around the corner. In the room were two empty operating tables with dirty, stained sheets laid over top of them. After observing for a while, Hello Nurse stepped into the room to get a closer look. She saw that the sheets were still wet with a mysterious fluid that looked eeriely similar to the fluid that had been leaking out of Mr. Plotz' body. Someone, or something, had been operated on here. The fluids were still dripping on the floor.

Over in the corner was a mirror that had been shattered. Glass shards littered the floor, dotted with spatters of black liquid: ink, the blood of a toon. The smell was pungent, and very, very fresh. Hello Nurse crept closer, only for something to crinkle under her feet. Looking down, she saw an ink-stained piece of paper. She bent down and picked it up, unravelling it and discerning its contents.

The yellowed face and dead blue eyes of an unknown toon stared back at her.

What in heaven's name happened here? She wondered to herself, her anxiety growing steadily.

Hello Nurse walked around a bit more. She noticed a strange lump behind the mirror. Her interest piqued as she moved closer, taking out her phone to use the flashlight. Turning it on and pointing it to the lump, she gasped.

It was a severed arm, covered in black fur, and with only four fingers. A black fluid gushed from the severed end. The hand was missing a white glove, but Hello Nurse recognized it as one of the Warners' arms.

It had just been cut.

WHAM!!!

The door to the room slammed shut with a blast of cold air. The lights above cut out. Everything went completely silent.

"Scratchansniff?!" Hello Nurse called out, "Scratchansniff! Brain! Hello?! What's going on?!"

With no warning, a pair of eyes suddenly appeared in front of Hello Nurse. Then another. Then another. Six eyes were staring at her from the darkness. Three mouths opened in a horrible, awful smile, filled with far too many jagged, sharp teeth. Hello Nurse stepped back in terror, tripping over one of the tables and falling backwards.

"Hellooooo nurse!" The familiar voice of Yakko Warner came from the middle pair of eyes, "You came just in time to see the results of my glorious final experiment! Feast your eyes on the perfect toonification!!"

Out of the shadows stepped the Warner siblings. Except... Something was severely, horribly, unnervingly wrong with them.

Yakko was considerably taller. His left arm had been replaced with a different toon arm. Half of his face was yellow, a single blue eye glowing brightly. His regular eye was swirling and pulsating with a boundless energy. His mouth was pulled back in an utterly insane smile, showing off sharp, predatory teeth. Other parts of his body had been replaced, but besides his arm and face, it seemed difficult to determine exact *what* had been replaced due to an odd effect going on with the stitch points. The seams stitched on to his body seemed to disconnect and reconnect in a jumpy, sudden fashion, pulled back together with pure liquid Warnerium. The Warnerium seemed to flow out of the stitches and make strange, abstract forms that darted around Yakko's body. In fact, the substance seemed to be oozing off his body and evaporating into the air like a noxious gas. He seemed both stable and unstable at the same time.

Wakko was a similar story, though he was the same height as he usually was. Half his face replaced with a yellowed cartoon face, a few limbs replaced, and the like. Unlike Yakko however, his stitch points were not pulled back together by the liquid Warnerium. At first glance, he seemed relatively fine, until one looked very closely at the stitch points. They were all permanently open and seemed to move like extra mouths. A semi solid form of Warnerium swished around the open wounds like tongues or tentacles. Because these stitch points were all over his body, Wakko seemed to be composed of nothing but open wound mouths. Despite this, he was smiling almost as wide as his brother, his eyes focused on Hello Nurse in a literal hungry manner.

Dot's form was difficult to describe. Her body floated there, with similar modifications as her brothers. However, the stitched together parts were completely separated, but still seemed to function as if they were together. Out of the open body parts flowed a pinkish ectoplasm mixed with liquid Warnerium, which was what seemed to keep the young toon together. Unlike her brothers, her eyes glowed pink and her jaw hung limply open. In fact, her whole body seemed to move as if she was being pulled by strings operated by a clumsy puppeteer. No movements seemed remotely natural, and it was frightening to look at.

Yakko stepped forward, his arm coming loose and nearly falling to the floor, only for tendrils of Warnerium to snap out of his arm stump and pull it back in with a drill-like twist. His smile couldn't be wider.

"Well, Ms. Nurse. What do you think about our glorious new redesigns?"
