Chapter 8: The Return Home

When they took off into the night, the first stop they made was at the town where Mr. Cuddle's owner originally lived, a small quiet town that looked rather pretty with all the Christmas lights and decorations.

Gliding down, Santa and his reindeer softly landed on one specific house. Leaving his reindeer on the roof, Santa gently took Mr. Cuddles from the sack and went down the chimney like he did for every Christmas.

"You see, Mr. Cuddles, Steven never meant to throw you away. In fact, you meant so much to him that he was going to save you as a family heirloom." Santa said to him quietly. "He's all grown up now with a child of his own."

Taking him upstairs, Santa opened the door to a small bedroom and walked inside.

The bedroom itself was decorated with sheets of pink and many other things you would see in a kid's bedroom.

But at the center of the room was a small green crib. And inside that crib was a little baby girl.

Walking over quietly, Santa gently placed the teddy bear next to the little girl.

Walking up a little, the baby smiled widley and giggled as she cuddled the teddy bear close to her, nuzzling her face into his shoulder.

And for the first time in what felt like many years, Mr. Cuddles smiled. A real, genuine smile.

"This is the happiest day of my life." He said softly.

Minutes after Santa had left, Steven woke up from bed, hearing a bit of a ruckus coming from his daughter's room. So, getting and leaving his wife, Steven made his way over to his daughter's room.

And when he looked into her crib, he gasped softly upon seeing his old teddy bear.

Steven smiled, he had been looking for Mr. Cuddles for so long, and now he was finally back.

And he knew just who to thank as he looked out the window to see Santa's sleigh fly off into the night, Rudolph's nose lighting the way as Santa said,

"Ho, ho, ho! Merry Christmas to all!"

The End.

And that's the end of my third installment of my Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer series! I wrote this whole story throughout November since me and my mom will be going away for Christmas this year to visit my special aunt. Hope you enjoyed this story and I will see you all later!
